CP4005Dn: Types of paper HP CP4005

Is there a suggested or recommended Photo paper either gloss or matte that the members of the forum have used successfully with this printer model please. I agree that it's an older model, but for me, it still works and I'm not ready to it's bin until it fails catastrophically beyond redemption. Many thanks in advance and seasonal greetings to all.

As far as I know, GSM is an acronym for "grams per square meter" and has exactly the same meaning as scientific notation more:

They provide a measure of the density of the paper; in general, the higher the value, the thicker paper GSM.

GSM values are used in the world; the major exception is America, which still uses the values of weight "books" (even though I believe that the significance of this measure differs slightly depending on the size of the paper "basic" which the eventual paper size has been cut).

  • Can limited choice for the Type of paper - I add Types?

HP Photosmart 5514.  I print on all kinds of media - paper looks, photo paper, wrapped, labels, magnets, etc.  When I go on my page of print properties before each draw, I can choose my Type of paper; However, the list is mainly limited to paper Photo HP and its variations of 8 or 9.  No ads for labels, cardstock, etc.  Can I add these types or what to choose when my type is not listed?

Annie, check under "Paper handling specifications" for a complete list of the supported paper types. Paper types not listed here are generally not supported because they may cause equipment malfunction if the paper is not through the path of the paper in the correct way.

The other option might be to try an older driver with a wider range of print capability, here's a post on how to do it on the forum: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Software-Drivers-e-g-Windows-8/How-to-Assign-Alternate-Print-Drivers-in-Different-Versions/td-p/1957011

I would like to know if this information helps!

  • Re: HP Deskjet 2645: how to change the type of paper when copying photo

Hello! I have the same problem. Currently im using HP Deskjet 2645 and I have a problem with the copying of the photo. I want to copy a document from the photo and change in legal size but the only option are A4plain, A4photo and Photo 4 x 6. How can I fix my printer setting? I hope you can help me with this one...

    Thank you!

    Hi @remz,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are looking to copy a legal document size on printer all-in-one HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

If you try to copy a legal document size on the dish (glass), you will not be able to. Flat maximum scanning is: 216 x 297 mm (letter 8.5 x 11).

That being said, you can copy legal size documents using the ADF (ADF). The ADF will automatically copy the legal size document, as long as you have legal paper loaded in the paper feeder.

Here is a related article, the HP all-in-one Officejet 2620 and the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage all-in-one series 2645 - copy text or mixed Documents.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • How to export an Illustrator file with transparent background, for printing on different types of paper.

    Hello

I created a card that contains a simple geometric shape and type, and the client would like to for it to print on different kinds of papers / different background colors.

I don't know what is the best way to export this .ai file to send to print. Your suggestions are appreciated, and my apologies if this question has arisen before.

    Carmen

The white background is just the preview. The application of the observer must show a sort of background.

PNG is not specific to printing. If you export a PDF file that has the correct settings (depending on the printing process)

  • Cannot change the ePrint Android app paper type when printing photos

I have the app installed on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) Android ePrint mobile and have a 7520 Photosmart printer at home.

When I'm at home, I see the same printer mentioned twice of the ePrint app, once via ePrint (with the printer shown e-mail address) mobile on my phone and the other wireless (with IP address).

If I were to print a picture from the application mobile ePrint, if I select my printer via a wireless connection, I see the option to change the type of paper, i.e. the plain paper or paper photo; But if I select the printer even via ePrint, the ability to change paper type no longer appears in the application.

When I travel, I do not see my printer via ePrint and I can't print a photo on from regular paper because of the absence of the option "document type." However, if I were to print a document via ePrint mobile application, the ability to change paper type appears.

    So to summarize:

    (1) mobile ePrint app photo wireless print - option "paper type" is present;

    (2) photo of ePrint mobile printing app via ePrint - option "paper type" is absent;

    (2) document of ePrint mobile printing app via ePrint - option "paper type" is present.

This may be by design, correct?

    Thank you.

    Hi phibei!

    Thank you for posting.

I did some research on your post.

You're right, this is normal. This is due to the method of communication used. When you use the application printing via ePrint, it sends information by e-mail and limits the options available.

  • All-in-one HP Officejet 6500 has: paper size or the type of error message problem

    I have a HP Officejet 6500 all-in-one a and am running Win 7 on a desktop computer.
I get a paper mismatch (type and paper size is incorrect) error message.
The printer is not connected to the internet, but it is connected by a USB cable to the computer.
I look at the instructions to make an internet connection and they were just too complicated. So I download the update of the firmware and ran to the computer. He would not go beyond the area of printer selection where no printers were found. Clicking Refresh has not helped.
This update of the firmware seems to have solved the problem for some users, but I need to know how you install it.
    Thanks for your help.

    17/03/2015 #2

I think I solved the problem. I went to the website to download drivers, etc., and, rather than to specify the printer, I clicked the button to let HP identify it. It came with the correct name (see post) preceding. Then, I downloaded and installed the full feature software and driver. The first attempt to print from Excel led to the mistake of page size, but, on a whim, I tried twice and had two successful prints without error. Until further notice, I mark this as solved problem.

    Thanks for your help,

  • LaserJet p3015: label the value type paper on tray 2 or 3

Is there a way to define the type of paper label on tray 2 or 3 on the LaserJet p3015?    I alternated installation HP LaserJet like that, but it doesn't seem to have this option.  Since we have an automated process printing labels I can not use the manual feed tray.

    Hello

I'm afraid that this cannot be done,

For the 2 and (3) bins, Label is not a supported media type.

You can see page 78 of the user below as a reference guide, the labels are supported only on tray 1:

  • Where controls (paper type) type of media?

I use a Mac Book Pro with OSX Lion 10.7.3.  My question is about the color management in Photoshop CS5.  Where should I put my .icc (Pro38 WCRW) file for using Photoshop as a media type?  And where in the process of printing Photoshop CS5 it give me the ability to change the types of paper (.icc files), etc.?

    Try this

  • HP Designjet EDP cannot be loaded in PS CS5 (cannot choose the paper type)

In Photoshop CS4, we used to be able to use HP PDE to choose among other things, the types of paper.  In Photoshop CS5, we get the error:

"The bundle"hp_designjet_pde"could not be loaded because it does not contain a version for the current architecture.  Contact the author of the package listed here for the most recent version.  HP designjet PDE v4.1.0.

BDP works fine in Illustrator and other applications, CS5, Photoshop just not.

This forum works Design Premium CS5 on OS X Snow Leopard with a HP DesignJet 130nr.

No idea why this is happening or how to get Photoshop CS5 to recognize the HP drivers?

    Thank you!

Because you are in Photoshop in 64-bit, and the printer driver is not code for 64-bit (the current architecture).

You can run Photoshop in 32 bits, or contact HP and see if they have updated drivers.

    Hello world

Any setting I try, I can't select Pages fine art papers.

    The same problem.

    End plain paper,

    Paper thin Mats

    Fine photo papers

but no joy with fine art

Any place that I failed to look at?

    See you soon

Art paper is a classification of a type of paper that your Epson printer supports through its driver that dictates which will show you your OS X Print Panel. It has nothing to do with the Pages.

The last OS X Epson Printer Driver 3.2 update (January 2016) doesn't show any support for the Epson SureColor P800. However, Epson site displays the current drivers for this printer since April 2016. I would like to download and install these. In system preferences: printers and Scanners, right-clicko system on the current entry of the printers to the P800, then choose Reset Printing System... Then, with your connected printer and powered, add your printer back and select the new specific driver for your printer.

Now, make sure that your Options & supplies is configured correctly and then come back on a panel of print Pages to see if the new features listed here (including Fine Art papers).
