  I can't answer that question, but I can say that CS5 is is no longer being updated for the new hardware and operating systems, so as far as I know, if you buy an external with the same kind of screen 'High definition' monitor you have now, you will have the same problem

  p.s. This is a public forum.  the display of your phone number is a bad idea and display your serial number will get it banned (or used by someone else and will not you).

  1. you need not install cs5.5 to install an upgrade.

  I know what Snow Leopard first came out in 2009, there were the problems of crashing with CS4. Does anyone know if Creative Suite 4 Design Premium will work in 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)?

• Uninstalled CS4 design premium and now cannot re - install

  I recently had a problem with my card on my Macbook Pro, find themselves in having replaced. Beforehand I had to reformat my hard drive, where you uninstall Design Premium in the process.

  I am now trying to reinstall and it hangs on 'checking system profile' at all about the 90% mark.

  I am aware that others have had problems with this and recommendations have been made in what concerns creating a profile or just by clicking on the Setup icon and selecting "Show the contents of the package" and installation there, but none of those who work for me and it still crashes at the same brand whenever I try.

  I wonder what I can do then, I'm not too common sense when it comes to watch programs in the code if any help broke down in the simplest form would be much appreciated that I cannot to allow/should not have to pay on the new Adobe software , considering that it was find prior work format my hard drive.

  If you use a cd, copy its contents into a desktop directory and try to install from this directory.

• I downloaded CS4 Design Premium and asks me to insert the disc 1, but there is no disk 1... Help!

  I bought Adobe Design Premium CS4 and the disc has been destroyed, so I found the download on Adobe and downloaded. Then, instead of just run the file I downloaded, I extracted and burned it to DVD. When I ran the Setup and pick out what I wanted to install and he said: ' "Please insert the Adobe CS4 Design Premium 1 diskette in drive G:\ to continue the installation.".

• I use CS3 design premium and can no longer use the license. It does not start and I can not turn off.

  I got an error saying that Licensing has stopped working. We downloaded a small .exe (LicenseRecover) file, but it didn't work.

  If you only installed and active software once before, you still have an extra activation to your disposal.  So if this is the case you can uninstall and reinstall and reactivate using your serial number.

  You can also get Adobe support by chat to reset your activations - they are likely not available until after the end of the week.  Do not ask for more than that but or they will tell you that they do not support for older software installation problems.

  We have more filtering alternatives available for Creative Suite 5.5.  You may be able to follow the directions shown on http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to download an older version.  Please save it although if you are able to download because it is not a reliable method to be able to always get the files from your installation.

• Upgrade to CS6 and Design and Web to CS4 Design Premium installation failure

  I am trying to upgrade to CS6 Design and Web Premium CS4 Design Premium on Win 7 (32 bit).  I am nistalling from the DVD that was purchased at the Adobe store.  The box says it is for the upgrade of 3 or 4 x.   I'm in the CS6 serial number and he is able to validate it.   When he goes into preparation mode install the status bar does not change ever, and after what seems to be a very long period the Installation failed message appears.  I ran the Adobe Support advisor and followed the link to the page that you explained how to solve problems and chose to go into the registry and look for 'In Progress'.  There is no 'ongoing'.     I have CS4 and CS6 serial numbers, so they should be valid because the two were purchased through the Adobe store.   I am very frustrated!

  I tried to find how to uninstall CS3 Design Premium, and then reinstall the original software in the hope that this will eliminate the problem of crash, that started yesterday on the Adobe site.
