Create a Flash disk to USB 2.0 of recovery from a Flash disk to USB 3.0 of recovery

I'm 4-1050ca running Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium. I created a USB 3.0 drive Flash recovery only to discover that, although I can boot from the appliance when it is in a USB 3.0 port, I can't restore the system from it. This recovery Flash drive boot to the USB 2.0 port, and Yes, the HP recovery software complain of inability to use the recovery media.

I want to remedy. I would like to be able to start and restore from my USB 3.0 Flash drive recovery when it is plugged into a USB 3.0 port. Otherwise how can I duplicate the recovery on a USB 2.0 Flash Disk media?

I understand you want to take the drive to USB 3.0 recovery and put it on a drive USB 2.0 instead. This can be a bit of a tricky scenario because the Recovery Manager only helps bring.

That said, there is a utility called CloneZilla designed specifically for a drive to a second drive in the mirror.

This document is a very good guide on the use of CloneZilla to accomplish this task.

It is recommended to use the option of the image, but you would need the peripheral device option for your scenario.

You select the USB 3.0 as the source drive and the USB 2.0 as the target drive. Make sure you don't accidentally select the hard drive of the laptop as CloneZilla will wipe the drive target using peripheral device.

I note that I have not personally tried to clone a recovery USB disk. Given that only one set is allowed to do, I can't guarantee that the USB has not been modified to prevent this particular method. It is interesting to try.

In fact, I made Flash bootable drive and I copied the contents of the DVD. PC starts, but it stops because it is looking for drive E: (DVD - RW). Is it possible to fix it somehow?

    Hey Pedi

AFAIK, you can create bootable flash drive using Toshiba recovery image files.
This can be done on the new NB series original creator Toshiba Recovery tool.

Satellite A200 is old laptop model and you can find the new drive to optical disc on eBay and it's not expensive. Share the STRANGE and everything will be OK again.

If you create the Windows XP startup disk, 700 MB CD is enough.

  • In Windows 7 system restore has created a new disk - why?

After my upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 has failed, I restored my system to the point before you perform the upgrade.  I did it because I noticed that in some cases, the files were not being updated (actually several years).  The restore worked, but now instead of d: the correct version of the content appears on F: (newly created by the restore process), while D: is still there with the old content.  I don't know what to do with the now obsolete D: drive.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hello Fred,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for details on the issue.

As you mentioned that the D: drive contains old content, if it is not useful to you, then you can fit.
    Reference:
Create and format a hard disk partition
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/create-format-hard-disk-partition#create-format-hard-disk-partition=Windows-7

Note: Formatting a volume will destroy all data on the partition. Be sure to back up any data you want to save before you begin. You cannot format a disk or partition that is currently in use, including the partition that contains Windows.

However, you can Rename the F: d: drive later.

There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Use the password indicator (only works if an indicator was created and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
  • Trying to create the repair disk. I get incorrect parameter 0 x 800 70057

I am trying to create a repair disk after installing Windows 7 Professional. I get "parameter is incorrect0x80070057.

A prompt by right clicking and select "Run as Administrator"
and then at the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f r, then press the Enter key.

If you are asked to plan the volumn to check the next time that the system restarts,
    Enter: y

If you know the manufacturing of your hard drive you can also download their diagnostic software.

  • Bootsect.exe cannot be created in Win 7 DVD USB TOOL

I have the ISO win 8.1 file which my school gave students I used WINDOWS 7 USB DVD TOOL to create a victory 8.1 USB. Only after the end, I see an error with a message saying: "we have copied your files but do not have run the BOOT SECT to make your USB bootable .

What is the Cause of this problem and how can I do bootsect to make bootable USB? (I have Win 64 bit ISO 8.1)

    Hi Rahulkhanna,

Given that the ISO of Windows 8.1 file is 64-bit, you need to run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool out of a 64 bit PC with a 64 bit version of Windows installed. Otherwise, copy the files, but Windows will not be able to install the correct version of bootsect.exe. Take that into consideration for the future: If you are using 32 bit ISO, you can run Windows 7 USB/DVD tool on a 64 or 32 bits computer. However, if you use a 64 bit ISO, you must use only the 64-bit computer.

To check if you are running 32 or 64-bit Windows, click the Start button, do a right click on computer, a selection of properties. The architecture of the system is listed under the section 'system '.

  • Working with animation site created in Flash CS4

    Hello

A lively, created in Flash CS4 site I need to update so I plan to do in Animate. Before you start working on it properly, instead of simply to create a new site from scratch, I would like to check:

    • Is it possible to export the site as html5 .fla? I don't see the option to do so.
    • Will I need to recode all or some aspects, information within the project? I did a quick export of Animate and everything seems to work, outside links (for example contact leading to e-mail and facebook button) does not work as they did before.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
