Creating a Flash recovery

I have a compaq presario windows vista laptop does not accept the installation. Can I create a flash of my recovery disk recovery? Help! I'm not savvy in computer science. Just need help. HP support has been, until I said no to the help of a lot of money.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

No, you download and save on your hdd_in any folder, where you can find it as 'Documents', etc. Once the loan of USB Flash drive, click the usb file to create the recovery in the flash player.

If you already burned a set of recovery discs, you probably need to reset recovery creator software before performing all of the usb:

  • How to create bootable flash disc of original recovery media?

    Hi guys,.

I need to create bootable flash disc of original support of recovery for Satellite A200 - 1 M 4, because my DVD - RW is not able to read the DVD, and I have to reinstall the OS. In fact, I made Flash bootable drive and I copied the contents of the DVD. PC starts, but it stops because it is looking for drive E: (DVD - RW). Is it possible to fix it somehow?

    Hey Pedi

AFAIK, you can create bootable flash drive using Toshiba recovery image files.
This can be done on the new NB series original creator Toshiba Recovery tool.

Satellite A200 is old laptop model and you can find the new drive to optical disc on eBay and it's not expensive. Share the STRANGE and everything will be OK again.

  • Create a Flash disk to USB 2.0 of recovery from a Flash disk to USB 3.0 of recovery

I'm 4-1050ca running Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium. I created a USB 3.0 drive Flash recovery only to discover that, although I can boot from the appliance when it is in a USB 3.0 port, I can't restore the system from it. This recovery Flash drive boot to the USB 2.0 port, and Yes, the HP recovery software complain of inability to use the recovery media.

I want to remedy. I would like to be able to start and restore from my USB 3.0 Flash drive recovery when it is plugged into a USB 3.0 port. Otherwise how can I duplicate the recovery on a USB 2.0 Flash Disk media?

I understand you want to take the drive to USB 3.0 recovery and put it on a drive USB 2.0 instead. This can be a bit of a tricky scenario because the Recovery Manager only helps bring.

That said, there is a utility called CloneZilla designed specifically for a drive to a second drive in the mirror.

This document is a very good guide on the use of CloneZilla to accomplish this task.

It is recommended to use the option of the image, but you would need the peripheral device option for your scenario.

You select the USB 3.0 as the source drive and the USB 2.0 as the target drive. Make sure you don't accidentally select the hard drive of the laptop as CloneZilla will wipe the drive target using peripheral device.

I note that I have not personally tried to clone a recovery USB disk. Given that only one set is allowed to do, I can't guarantee that the USB has not been modified to prevent this particular method. It is interesting to try.

  • Not able to create a system recovery disc

I made the partition of HDD of my new Dell inspiron laptop 7520 and now I'm not able to create a system recovery disk, or USB drive. System continues to read the disc or the drive.

I recommend the creation of an image with the free trial of 30 days of Acronis or free Edition of WD/Seagate, which can be used if you have a WD/Seagate internal hard drive or external. See section 3 of the Guide to reinstall Windows:

    http://philipyip.WordPress.com/Dell-community-forums/

This will give you a backup copy of your system in its current configuration. Once the trial will expire, you can save your system using the Acronis bootable recovery media and don't have so no need to buy the version complete to recover your system. Versions of WD/Seagate will work providing one of their hard drive is detected connected to your system internally or externally, and they are not trial versions.

Many others have experienced problems with Dell DataSafe and resolved by uninstalling Dell backup and restore. reboot and then install the latest version here: http://www.dellbackupandrecovery.com/en-us/Index.html in addition to update their system BIOS if a BIOS update is available. When you create a recovery with DataSafe media I would recommend the use of a key USB and not DVD DVDs. Multiple are burned using the program and its common for 1 or more of these DVDs to burn incorrectly for flash USB stick method works better.

  • I can create a system recovery disk that gets installed and updated Windows 7, not the preinstalled HP Vista recovery Partition?

I have a laptop HP HDX 18 that had 64-bit Windows Vista installed, with a Vista recovery on his C drive Partition.  Since then, I installed clean 64-bit Windows 7 Professional of his Microsoft licensed DVD, that I still have.  I kept with all (200 +) of Windows updates.

Now, I want to create a system (Flash drive) for this laptop recovery disk, but my concern is that he will lead the recovery in its Partition Vista original, installed at the factory.   If I use W7 administration tools installed to create a system recovery disc, it will recover the old Windows Vista or Windows 7?  In addition, it would be nice to have a system recovery disk that had the latest W7.

I'm not looking to install the drive link below; However, I prefer the system recovery disk to restore my laptop to its W7 system most recently updated, rather than start over.

  • How to use Flash recovery only for flashback database feature box

I would use the area of flash recovery only for flashback database feature, which means, the flash recovery area will store only the flashback logs.

I don't want to use this file system for all other files, such as files of archive log, backups, copies of control files, multiplex redo log, etc.

is this possible? I want to use this function only for the flashback database option and therefore, I don't want to disturb any existing configuration in my database

including backup jobs. It will also store the Archives of redo log files in the flash recovery area to use the flashback database feature?

I can't certainly allow me to have a copy of the entire file system database as my DB size is more than the system recovery flash I have zone files.

    Thank you

    Aman,

I think I was not clear in my question. I'll try again

My only requirement is to use the flashback database feature (or be prepared to use if necessary). I don't want to create a large file system to use the CRF to store all those files. Out of all the files are stored here a copy of the data files seems to consume more space. I see that these files are classified as transitional and permanent files. I agree with permanent files. I'm afraid that this file system can use more space if I store files of backup to disk. I want backups of databases to go to bands, not on the drive of FRA. Is this possible?

    Thanks for your response

Okay, well in that case you can use RMAN and push the backups to tape drives. FLB newspapers would be stored on the FRA.

    following steps should be ok
    (1) create pfile from spfile;
    (2) remove the unnecessary params
    (3) configure log_archive_dest_1
Note: do not remove the db_recovery_file_dest, db_recovery_file_dest_size, and parameters. they may be required at another time
    (4) stop and start your database using this new pfile
    (5) check if the archives are in one place
    (6) create spfile and bounce database to ensure that it uses spfile

Please try all the steps test env first and go ahead in the event of success, to production

  • in the life situation, is the flash recovery area used often?

    Hi all

in the life situation, is the flash recovery area used often? or being extinguished?

    What is general practice?

    Thank you

    Andrew

    Andrew,

First that you must answer - what you want to with flash recovery area (FRA). FRA may or may not be used with another technology - flashback database.

    (i) are you using a base of data of flashback (database +, not table or query flashback flashback), i.e. you have lit the flame of the database? If so, you need to use CRF because that's where the FB connect to go.

(ii) If you don't use flashback database, you can, but you don't need to use FRA. FRA can be used for database backups and archived logs archived backups of logs.

I strongly suggest not to use FRA for archived logs. As a corollary, I strongly suggest backups seprating and newspapers archived on separate file systems (and underlying disks), if possible. Don't forget, you can always re-create a lost backup using logs archived. but never an archived newspaper lost. If you have lost journal #345, but all the others to have #346-#1000, it doesn't matter; recovery stops at 345. So imagine put backups and newspapers archived on a single point of failure - you lost two of them.

Therefore, I use different locations for backups and archived logs, somewhat defeat the purpose of the FRA, where both are supposed to go.

Caveat: I do this for all important databases. If a database is not so important, well...

    I hope this helps.

  • Add redo log Member Flash recovery area

    I have an Oracle 10 g server.

Database is in archivelog mode, using the Flash recovery for storage area redo files archive.

He doesn't use Oracle-managed files (db_create_file_dest is not set) - all the examples use until this OMF to multiplex the redo and control FRA files.

Is is possible to multiplex files redo log to the flash recovery area? Same question for the file control also.

What I tried, but not successfully:

My FRA is set to C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\ALEQ.

I added a redo log Member
    C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\ALEQ\ONLINELOG\

The problem is through EM I can't see any use of "Online Journal", but also when I query V$ FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA_USAGE (now I see only the use of archivelog and backuppiece)

My assumption is that the FRA is not used.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you create base without specifying CONTROL_FILES but whose value DB_CREATE_FILE_DEST and DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST, then your controlfiles get automatically appointed duplex and OMF. You could do this later with a create controlfile statement. But a more simple and better method would be to use the two parameters from the start.

    Kind regards
    Uwe

  • Archived newspapers and Flash recovery

    Hello
in 10g R2, what is the relationship between archived newspapers and Flash recovery?
    I have logs archived here:

    P:\oracle\product\10.2.0\flash_recovery_area\MYDB\ARCHIVELOG\2008_11_02

    And also here:

    D:\base\MYDB\arch

Are both the Sami? What is the difference? We need both of them?

    Here are my settings:
    SQL> archive log list
    Database log mode              Archive Mode
    Automatic archival             Enabled
    Archive destination            USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST
    Oldest online log sequence     297
Next log sequence to archive   299
    Current log sequence           299
    SQL> show parameter log_archive_dest_1

    NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE
    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
    log_archive_dest_1                   string      LOCATION=D:\base\MYDB\arch
                                                      OPTIONAL REOPEN=300
    log_archive_dest_10                  string      LOCATION=USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_
                                                     DEST OPTIONAL REOPEN=300
    Thanks before.

Newspaper Archives are written in several places because of parameter settings. However, if you look at the value, OPTIONAL string indicates that the archiving of these places is not mandatory. If the archiver is unable to create an archive to any of these places, instance always works without any problem.

It is absolutely mandatory that the archiver must be able to create an archive in one of the locations (if there is not both).

What is the value to LOG_ARCHIVE_MIN_SUCCEED_DEST (default is 1)?

If you do not need two of them, you can stop archiving to a specific location with ALTER SYSTEM.

    Hello

    > Creating means of recovery Ther is impossible!

It seems that the folder with the files was not found, and so this is the reason why the recovery disk cannot be created.
I think that there is not much to do but if you have the disc in the past, then you can use it once more to restore the operating system.
Otherwise, you will need to order the CD:

  • Creating a product recovery disk

    Hello all,.

I currently encounter some technical problems with my Qosmio G20 which are almost certainly related material. Before I have to send my system back to people kind of Toshiba, I want to create a full backup of my current configuration of the system, or more specifically a product custom recovery disk similar to the one provided by Toshiba.

From what I understand of your average product recovery disk, it consists of an operating system that is scratched downwards (usually Windows 95/98) and a disk/partition image (which is to restore). It seems so that it is within the reach of us ordinary people to produce a bespoke, product recovery disc is possible and if so how should we do about it? Also (as my current setup probably carries a little more "inflate" than the original default factory configuration) is it possible to create a multi-disc product recovery solution?

I look forward to any assistance provided.

    Kinder,.
    Lee Hyde.

    Hello Lee

I guess you have preinstalled many useful applications and also optimized OS preinstalled. The same situation is on my laptop Tecra and if something goes wrong (defective HARD drive or a virus) I need hours to install and configure the new OS. Because of that I created my own recovery DVDs and also my own recovery image. To do this, I bought Norton Ghost 10.0.

By using this software, I created my own recovery image and recorded on the second partition. If the BONE is infected with the virus, I am able to recovery OS and it will be as before without any CD or DVD. I browse to the saved image and after 20 minutes, things go back like before.

Of course, you can create bootable DVDs and save the image ghost on DVD. It costs a bit, but trust me it's really good investment. Of course, on the market, you can find many other similar products. Also talk with your friends and colleagues. Maybe one of them has very good experiences in this regard.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the recovery of product multi-disc.

    Bye and good luck!

  • How can I create a full recovery for OS and preinstalled software media?

    Hello
My son´s accompanying the new Satelite L855-10U preinstalled OS and much other software already installed on the HARD drive, but no installation media, the client is supposed to create a tool from Toshiba.

I created 6 Swedish recovery for the operating system using the tools Toshiba had installed on the HARD drive.

To do this 6 Swedish, I created with the Toshiba Recovery tool contain the operating system and all other preinstalled software?

How can I create the installation media full and usable if not for the operating system and all other preinstalled software?

I can´t find all the information on the backup software pre-installed with the exception of the BONE. Is there complete information how to do the above, in the manual of the computer, or have you missed this information?

I would like to know how I can create media backup complete and usable for the operating system as well as for all other preinstalled software, so I can recreate all the facilities of the plant at a new disk if/when the original HARD disk crashes.

Is there a partition hidden with pre-installed software, and if so, how can I create a backup of this partition, or all the software, so I can reinstall everything if the HARD drive fails, if it is already not with the Swedes 6 Toshiba tool created for me?

Forward to your response and to complete your customer documentation about the complete instructions for installation and recovery media creation.

    Thank you very much!

    Baltazar

    Hello

On this forum, you will find a lot of useful comments on the recovery image saved on the HARD drive and its operation to the facility and the creation of recovery disks.
All this is clearly and simply.

Front of Toshiba offer new people for laptop in software development create recovery image. This recovery image will be created for each laptop model (specific hardware configuration). Recovery image contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, tools/utilities Toshiba specific and some other software like DVD/Blu-Ray, Microsoft Office test drive and the antivirus application. With this configuration every laptop owner can begin to use the laptop without having to install important applications.

This package is then saved on the HARD drive and can be used for the installation of HARD drive recovery - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm. In other words, if something is wrong with HARD drive recovery facility you can reset the preinstalled operating system and reinstall recovery imae. After that make you have absolute same settings you had after purchase and first start of the laptop.
HARD drive recovery image can not be used if:
    -HARD drive is defective
-you have installed the version of the own BONE
Structure of the HARD disk partitions - is changed
Recovery image - HARD drive is deleted or moved to another partition or copied to the external device.

To avoid all this Toshiba recommends the creation of recovery disks. Using these disks, you will be able to install the OS on the new drive HARD or in any other situation listed above.
Please note: the use of recovery disks will remove all HARD drive, create the new recovery partition and install image recovery, so you still have the same settings.

I hope I can help you with my explanation. If you have any other questions you are welcome.
