  Edit the form fields so that they use Helvetica by 9 points. Do not set the Arial font. Acrobat/Reader will use a private version of Arial as a substitute for Helvetica. If you specify Arial, it will integrate the entire police (sometimes several times), makes that increase the file size unnecessarily.

  Apparently, you tried to open a DOC file to PDF quite awhile, and your system is confused. In any case, go to a DOC or DOCX file (or both) in the Windows Explorer and right click. Select open with and select WORD - always check open with button.

  Check that the other WORD documents open correctly from the Explorer. Try again your e-mail address. If e-mail is not fixed, then look in the list of applications in your email inbox (some do) and fix the problem here. It might also be useful by turning on the display of extensions in Explorer, so you can see that a file is in fact a word with the appropriate extension. (just try to cover as many opportunities as possible now).

  Hi all.  I installed and used a font that I downloaded on the Internet.  Everything is good.  Documents look great, and normally I create PDF files from Word documents.  But, when I send a Word Doc (not PDF) that has my custom font (Ubuntu, it's the police anyone is wondering) is not "coming through" to the recipient.  End result is that the recipient opens the Doc they can't read the text.  I had described me as looking like a cursive, but unreadable font.

  Word does not incorporate fonts. You will need to send it with the document, or save it in PDF format and send that.

  I can't find a document, in my view, that I accidentally changed the file name extension? I'm not sure about that either. I hit two keys at the same time, I think, and the document was gone! I don't know the date of the day, I did but can't find the document or I find a doc but it does not open so I can read it. I get an open document that looks at the coding or something? How the coding looks like on the screen is the way I have the document created in word. I use an old program "word for windows 97.

  What is your ultimate goal in the 'scanning' the document? I try to read between the lines here, so, if it's to send by e-mail, I would recommend that create you a PDF file using one of the many PDF printer drivers (I use PrimoPDF to http://www.primopdf.com/index..aspx.  You should install this program, then it creates a printer driver.  In Word, you make a file, print, and then select this printer.  He then asked a file name.  Place the file in a location where you know the location and then let to print.  Once done, you can then attach the PDF file to an e-mail message.
   
  If you want to "scan" for another reason, please advise.

  I forgot to mention in my title, I use RoboHelp 2015 and publication of WebHelp.

  I have a project where my first topic provides a list of the tasks that can be performed from the main screen. I create WebHelp and Word to convert to pdf format. When I convert the RoboHelp project to the printed Document, there is an article on a bulleted list that does not convert to a hyperlink element in the Word doc. The other 15 elements convert. The WebHelp project works very well.

  I deleted the topic to the table of contents and replaced it; I made sure the links work and connect to the correct subjects. I tested the links in the HR project and they work fine. As I say, all others 15 links work very well in HR and in Word.

  Any suggestions on what I should look for?

  If this isn't the case, then the list pointing to other topics which are all in the same project and is the subject of the list point to the printed output? The fact that it is in the webhelp does not automatically mean that it is in the printed output.

  I have attached a word inside my pdf doc with acrobat. I am trying to create a link to the attached doc, but every time I open the word doc to "set the link" the button "set link" disappears.

  I have no problem to link to a pdf attached by using this method, but the word seems to be a problem. What I am doing wrong?

  You can only link to an attached file that is not a PDF file using a script like this:

  How the PDF was created? If it was created by an application third (i.e. something other than an Adobe app), the file may not have the necessary information to ensure a clean transformation. Please visit: Adobe ExportPDF Will convert both text and form... | Adobe community.

  You may have more luck if you turn off OCR, as this document described: How to disable the optical character recognition (O... |) Adobe Community. But this option is not preferable, if the PDF file has started as a scanned document, OCR is necessary to convert a text image into editable text.

  I have the format of files Word doc as pdf files to print paperbacks. I created files with headers and footers. When I'm finished, I do a print preview and headers and footers appear fine, but when I convert it to the pdf format the headers are not there.   I saw this discussed historically general topic, but couldn't find any resolution.  I have a Word doc (let's call it A.doc) linking to a PDF doc (let's call it b.pdf). Once I have convert Word doc to PDF (A.pdf creation), I want the link en.pdf to open b.pdf in a new window.

  I've seen a number of suggestions that indicate that I can set up the link in Word to do this, use her change the hyperlink > target frame > frame target > 'new window '.  While this works if I click on the link in Word, it does seem to "reporter" once I converted A.doc to A.pdf.  When I click the link en.pdf then B.pdf opens in the same window in time.

  I know how to add manually link in Acrobat.pdf to do this, but I don't want you add manually the link every time I create A.pdf.  I want to create the link once in A.doc and did delay in time, and then open the b.pdf link in a new window.

  I've seen suggestions on adding some HTML somewhere.  Unfortunately, they are not, that I'm viewing the PDF files in a browser.

  I saw suggestions for using the CTRL key at the same time click on the link en.pdf.  Would not be practical, because I have no way to make sure that my users will know it.

  I've seen suggestions on the use of JavaScript, but it would mean (I know) I have to add the JavaScript whenever I convert A.doc A.pdf.  Still, I won't have to do any post-processing of A.pdf after I got it to create.  I want the link in 'just work' A.doc after A.pdf is created, i.e. open b.pdf in a new window.

  This * seems * like a simple thing to do, I hope there is a simple solution.

  BTW, I'm using Word 2007 and Acrobat X.

  I use Word 2003 and Acrobat 10 and links created as you describe defaults to 'new window '.

  You have the 'Open links in the same interdocument window' unchecked in Edit > Preferences > Documents?

  .. sounds too easy... (and your users will probably have to make the change even if they need this behavior, unless you have a very techno IT department that can deploy configuration files large company).

  I have a word doc search kind of Bill that I would use to make a report of the apex. The word document includes a table with all the digital data for the invoice, pretty simple. I saved the doc word to HTML and used a program to remove all excess html. I put the html code in a report of the apex as a region of html, and it seems perfect. What is the best way to get SQL data in the html table in the region.

  I take the HTML code and use it as the framework for a model of column name. This will allow you to put your query data in correct places it has to go.

  To make a column named model, go to components shared, models, create, report; for "model Type:", select "Named column (model line).

  Named column templates are fairly easy to implement, but that also seems to mean that it is difficult to find documentation for them. Basically, set up your query and then use # < nom_de_colonne > # in your HTML code, replacing < nom_de_colonne > with the actual names of the columns in your query.

  Oh, and as a general rule, you want to set up a model column header in your model of column named - I almost always just fill in model 1, before the lines and online after lines.
