Creating an executable file

Hello. I use Windows 7 Professional. I am trying to create an executable file. I searched here and I am also watching youtube videos more my online OR training and following the directions. The problem is that all of the examples I could find are older versions of windows. I have attached my project, but also a screenshot of what happens. I did however, when I double-click on the executable file it doesn't open the Vi, it opens the file used to create the executable file. I don't know if the difference is due to the OS, but I followed behind the videos as much as possible, with a few points mark because I have is exactly what show training videos. I also LV 2014 and it does not with training videos, but it seems that it is not a big difference between the two. If I have not provided sufficient information made me know. The password to the Vi is "2015". Thank you

Within the executable build specification ("Piezo rig"), go to the tab "Source Files" and you add main VI ("displacement piezoelectric test exe.vi") at the start section screws.

You shouldn't have problems based on the operating system or version of LabVIEW. Make sure that you install runtime matching as well as the executable file if you are deploying to another computer.

  • LabVIEW FPGA: Not possible to create an executable file that uses the FPGA in Simulation Mode? I get a weird error code

When I try to create an executable from a host VI that has an "Open FPGA VI" reference who has run, the value "Dev computer w / Sim i/o" value, the application is built without error but when I try to run it, it opens with an arrow broken to run and has the following error:

"VI has an error of type 2302200.  The full development of LabVIEW version is necessary to correct mistakes. "In fact, he repeats this message two times in the same window for some reason any.

Moreover, I * have the LabVIEW full development version and I use 2010 SP1

While the error message is not as clear as it could be, you're right: you cannot run an executable file that tries to run an FPGA VI in the simulation.  It would be nice if there was an error in compiling.  I always forget to switch to run on the target FPGA before building my application and discover the error until I have it copied on the system in the laboratory.

    SC1,

Unfortunatley LabVIEW get where the drivers have been installed since. This is to ensure that the same versions of the driver are in LabVIEW and the installation program that you created. The best way to work around this problem in your situation is to reinstall the drivers from your hard drive. You can download the drivers on our website linked below. In the future if you plan to create many installers, copy the contents of the CD driver on your hard drive and install from there. I made a suggestion of product in the past, to make it an easier process. If you want that this so, please visit our product suggestion Center below the link.

  • where to add the db CAN format when creating an exe file.

I created an executable file to run on a PC not of LabView. When I run the file, I can't seem to select the database when I right click on the target computer. On my development machine, the exe seems to know where is the PB.

I guess that the Pb, I installed on computer target in the right folder. Is there a 'best practice' to avoid this error?

    Thank you

    Thanks Hooovahh,

I did include the DBC in the LabVIEW project and then include it in the EXE. I have also included in the installer, but what I is not install NOR-XNET on the target computer. I understand NEITHER-XNET DURATION in the installer. My question was on start up I have a dialog box select the database using a right-click of the mouse on the control (according to the test, the CBD may be different).

the right click appear the selection "Browse for Database File... ", but it would not execute the file dialog popup after, so I had no database selected and initialization crashed.

After the installation of NOR-XNET, the popup has worked and I was able to select the database what ever I wanted. Bottom line, I will include OR-XNET, not only the version of the Runtime for all of my installers using CAN.

Thanks for the help programming, I will try and include your departure to check what aliases exist in XNet using the Get database list. This seems really smart to make sure that the wha DBC file are available.

  • How to create an executable

Hello, I try to figure out how to make an executable file of LabVIEW. This is my first time ever create an executable, so I need instructions to the base. I tried to do by using the project manager. The created file must LabVIEW Run-Time in order to work.

Is it still possible to have a LabVIEW program and create an executable file that would let to any computer without products OR run the application?

Also, I searched a few instructions on how to do it but could not find all those useful. If anyone can direct me to a post or a set of instructions that explain how to create an executable file that would be perfect. Thank you!

  • executable files may only work running labview

    Dear all,

I simply create an executable file that calls several functions of a DLL (also written in LabVIEW), the LabVIEW DLL will call a DLL acquisition card written in c ++ to capture images from my camera. Everything worked fine until I have copy my entire program to a pc with the only run LabVIEW and installed vision. While the program no longer works. The LabVIEW DLL I call keep will return null string that it's not supposed to be. The DLL is supposed to return 0 for any mistake or any number which is the error code.

Help, please... Thank you very much!!

    Hi GerdW,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I just thought of it.

It was because I only installed runtime of vision but has not installed the device IMAQ driver.

My program works fine after installing the device IMAW driver.

  • Generation of reports in executable files

By using LabVIEW 2012 SP1, I created a vi that opens an Excel file and puts a string of data (time stamp and a bit of data).  He travels once per second and adds the file very well on my laptop.  My problem is that when I create an executable file, the generation of reports does not work.  The loop works fine collects data, but Excel does not open.  Can someone tell me what's the trick?

    Thank you

    Brad

You should be able to add a right click on 'My Computer' in the LabVIEW project and select 'Add' ""file... ". »

In the window that opens, you should be able to access your folder of Installation of LabVIEW to Excel class realized. An example of his path on my system for LabVIEW 2012 looks like this: (you will probably need to change this)

    C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\Excel\NI_Excel.lvclass

Once the class appears in your project, you should be able to add to the section "Still included" the "Source Files" category in the build specification.

    Kind regards

  • executable file. Exe

Hello.. I'm starting to work with Labview, so I need help.
After you create an executable file. Exe
When I create an app for a client... this software to install on your machine to run the application?

    Gratefu

You will need the engine running for LabVIEW that matches the version of LabVIEW that was used to create the .exe.

You also need the VISA run-time engine (if you series, or any other communication of VISA based ports).  Also drivers DAQ if you're doing data acquisition.

  • Executable files and data acquisition Drivers

It is an interesting question that I hope someone can help me with.

My client has little code I need support.  They have a card PCI-1200
    card.
My understanding is the latest driver that works with this card is
    Traditional DAQ 6.9.3.

    They have 6.9.3f3

Then I made the mistake of upgrading their code of 7.1 to 8.5.  The code
    works
on my machine.  When I create an executable file, the executable works on my
    machine;
However, when I try to run the executable file on their computer software
    housing starts
and then stops.  I get no error.  The executable file only
    don't
    run.

I wonder what I should create an executable with the driver
    Version
    6.9.3 on my development machine?

    Thank you

    Dan

    I solved the problem!

I downloaded the 8.5.1 engine LENGTH of Web site of NOR and installed on my target machine.  It worked!

Previously, I copied the execution engine of my Cache on my development computer folder.

  • Creation of executable files

I suspect I know the answer to that, but maybe someone has found a clever way around it.

For some reason, some people have had problems to run parts of Captivate when I sent them the files (htm, css, swf, js).  I'm finally going to publish on the web, but for the moment they want to look at.

I thought that I have would simplify things for them by creating an executable file, but I see that you need admin rights to run it.  Since no one in a corporate environment has admin rights, it won't work, unless there is a way to publish the executable file that does not have this limitation.

My alternative is to publish on my own Web site, which is what I did in the past.

    Thank you.

    Hello

First of all, I would like to preface what I'm about to say by noting that I'm NOT a Captivate application developer, nor have I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I can't make you believe that I am one.

That said, it is my own understanding that when a Captivate created EXE is started, it actually unpackages and installs a temporary version of Flash Player to the location of Temp before playing what has been created.

So, probably due to the background installation, the need for Admin mode arises. But that's just speculation on my part personally, I agree with and like the approach "publish on your own website.

  • How to create an "executable" for users to run Calc?

I need to create an executable file that can launch users.  I want 1) open a session as long as user 'test' that I have implemented in the native repertoire, 2) app/database, select and then 3) launching a series of Calc.  I got something put in place previously in an earlier version of Essbase, but I can't seem to run on Essbase 11.

    Here's what I had previously:

    • Connection "servername" "TestUser" "Password";
    • Select "App" database;

    • RunCalc 2 ' Calc 1 ";
    • RunCalc 2 ' Calc 2. "
    • RunCalc 2 ' Calc 3. "

Perhaps the user machines have not all the files needed to run this?  It's just flashes and doesn't give me any messages.  I'm puzzled.

The Essbase client has been installed on the computers of users, if not you should install it.

The location should be something like C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin

You will need to also use startEsscmd.cmd or evolve with the times and use startMaxl.cmd

  • Executable file cannot create files

I created a VI that creates files in its operation. It downloads files via FTP and also creates a config file, if it does not already exist.

When I ran the VI without building in an application everything has worked well. Now that I have built in an application, he cannot create any files at all for some reason any.

The strange thing is that it doesn't throw any errors. Part of my application FTP receives a list of files in a directory through then a loop using the 'get' vi file it draws in the FTP in the Toolbox of the internet. The for loop to zip right through the list of files without having to download them, but acts like he did download them. Its supposed to wait until it downloads or expires. As I said though, nothing in the VI can create all files. I'm trying to create a configuration file, but it is not created.

I am even dealing with the case where when I use the 'VI path.vi current"from a stand-alone application, it will send a path like c:/directory/myprogram.exe/currentvi.vi. I analyze it to the directory of the real executable without a hitch.

I am running XP, not vista, so it's not like I need to run it as an administrator or something. I'm puzzled. I hope that I have adequately described the behavior of this problem for you guys.

  • How do I burn a file .img to a DVD and have it be an executable file?

How do I burn a file .img to a DVD and have it be an executable file?

It seems that used to be possible using disk utility, but not more for some reason any.

    Hi Frank

Not sure, what do you mean by executable video file, assume you mean play on a DVD player.

You create an image file to DVD in iMovie, FCPX etc... This allows the correct coding and the structure files for DVD, s / BDs.

Once you have the .img file, you can (control) click on the file and choose ' burn Image 'File name' disk drive...» »

Be aware that you need a R/W drive mounted/Secretary for the contextual elements appear. If you have a Blu - ray image, you need a BD player. Your file must be less than 4.7 GB for single DVDs faces or ~8.2GB for the DVD DLs. to 100GBs for quad layer BDs.

There are other 3rd party there as well.

    Hope this helps, Greg
