Creating lame handling AVCHD files...

All my HD films on Sony Camcorders

and the AVCHD format DSLR.  It is a compressed format,

but so are almost all on the consumer and prosumer movie files

camcorders. MP4 is also a compressed format.

I have the project of creation that often have tubs with 200 to 400

AVCHD clips in them.  First takes FOREVER to load these clips,.

because - oddly enough - even if these clips have not changed

one iota since the last them they were loaded slowly and painfully,

everytime I open the project... There it is again: a wait for 5-10 minutes

before any AVCHD clips are found and indexed.

There is something very wrong here.  Even if they ARE compressed

movies, why not first keeps thumbnails or cache files

or peak files or any other equipment indexing is required.

If these SAME files can be loaded without effort and without pain

next time the project is opened?  « Oh »... !!!

This seems like such a silly thing.  And how many years has first

summer around?  And how fast these computers now?  And I'm sitting here

twiddle my thumbs, while this "industry standard program" is coughing

and coughing, loading of materials which must be carefully cached and

indexed, because nothing has changed in the original files.

Another really lame thing is the re-link media that changed the path names

or names of files since the last load.  If they are files in format AVCHD, good luck.  First

EACH TIME, even if it's the same file 'lost' I found it, says
"file type not supported" or something not recognized, or some stupid.  'not supported'... ?
Funny-, it was argued the last time that I imported before the name of the folder has been changed.

It's really basic file management things people.  I mean, really.  Pourrait programming

be DIFFICULT THAT something this simple?

I'm on an iMac 3 year.  Maybe things work better on PC.
No thanks - never return "PC-Land".  But hey, it's stupid stuff.

What's up, Adobe coders?

Thanks for the pointers...!

I have a few mts files hundreds of Sony cameras as project files and my projects loading generally within 10-30 seconds max (Windows)

Are there other MAC users who find the first slow with AVCHD?  Do you use the files left untouched with the hierarchy of 'package' camera, or extract you video files only as I do?  Maybe that's the key.  If so, I'm "S-O-L", because I never saved files from the camera, only MTS files.

No matter the OS the "golden rule" is virtually always leave structures intact band and always media files use the media within the PP browser to import media.

For later use, you can always use the prelude to ingest media and trans-code them to a format such as QuickTime in order to remove the structures of folders.

  • Photoshop elements Organizer 11 goes down because of the deadlock in the wait thread chain creating thumbnails for short files (AVCHD)

    Hello

organizing items 11 creates a blockage in the wait chain when generating thumbnails from more than a handful of MTS (AVCHD) files.

After you import the files AVCHD from my camcorder Canon, the Organizer by using the settings by default always breaks down. I was able to narrow the problem caused by the generation of thumbnail.

After disabling the automatic generation of thumbnails, the Organizer goes not down more at the launch.

Of course, it is inconvenient to work without thumbnails. The next station is a manual release of the generation of thumbnails by selecting "update the thumbnail.

If I manually start the update of the thumbnails of the files one by one, and then it works for quite a lot of files before crashing again.

Selection of miniature update for several files at the same time has a much higher probability to crash.

This does not seem to be related to the content of the particular file: a file that leads to crashing once can be perfectly get a thumbnail created on the next attempt.

The Windows event report looks as follows (German language Windows):

Fehlerhaften der application name: PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe, Version: 11.0.0.0, Zeitstempel: 0x505e9f67

Name the module fehlerhaften: msvcrt.dll, Version: 7.0.9600.16384, Zeitstempel: 0x52158ff5

    My questions:

    -everyone knows the same problem?

-is a known issue with 11 Organizer?

-is the problem solved with the Organizer 12?

I have first items 11, Photoshop elements 11 installed and not known to other problems with these applications.

Playing AVCHD files (*.) MTS) works perfectly, that is, I have not any codec or performance problem on my PC.

Disabling of anti-virus software has no significant effect. I have excluded video directories of the analysis in any case.

Have disabled the facial recognition, search Visual and smart tagging in the Organizer.

Also disabled hyperthreading in the BIOS.

By using the compatibility settings to Windows XP for PSE somewhat improved stability, but does not completely eliminate crashes.

In addition, it signnificantly slows down the generation of thumbnails and an indication of progress window becomes visible during the generation of thumbnails, which is barely perceptible natively from 8.1 to win.

Officially, 11 items is compatible with Windows 8.1.

There is a knowledge base article associated with 6 elements, which recommend to disable multi-threading and running on more than a core Organizer.

This reduces the problem somewhat, but always more than a handful of files leads to crashing miniatures.

Through the Task Manager, I analyzed the PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe process wait chain:

Each time the error occurs, it is caused by a blockage in the wait chain.

    For example:

    -PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe (PID:6440) Thread: 5932

  • creating or reading text files based in compiled vi (.exe)

I did my .vi which contains features for reading/writing of settings and write log files. All goes well until I want to create an executable to distribute to colleagues who don't have labview development. When you run the .exe, it seems that I can't create or read .txt or .ini files. No idea how I can import functions open file in read/write/text to my .exe?

In fact, you try to create or read a file inside the executable.  Of course, this won't work.  Instead, use the Directory of the Application.  It returns the folder that contains your project (in the LabVIEW environment) file or the folder of the executable (when in the execution engine).

So in your example, you just have to the Application Directory and the path to build to get the location of your settings.ini file.

  • How to create a new Excel file programmatically

    Hello!

I'm documenting the data acquired permanently in an excel file, what I have to do is to create a new file, excel automatically when the size of the previous file exceeds a certain limit lets say 1 MB.

I tried using the function ' create/open a file ' simple and function "Write in the spreadsheet file" to create the new excel file. I don't create a file but when I open the file, it says the file format is not what you have opened with.

Also, when the new file is created, three new worksheet must be added programmatically with the name of the predefined spreadsheet and also the column headers for each worksheet must be added.

I also use "Labview Report Generation Toolkit for Office."

    Kind regards

  • Sony NEX - 5N AVCHD files

Sony NEX - 5N is a great compact devices which has the ability to capture HD video in 1080/60 p. This makes for smooth movement. With the recent update to Final Cut Pro X and AMC 6, hoping that the two programs would be add support for AVCHD 60 p/50 p; seems, however, that he did not. Therefore, work with the video from the cameras filming sequences AVCHD 2.0 60 p (like the Sony NEX - 5N) brings a bit of a problem when you import files from my camera. So how do you solve the problem?

The quick solution is to wrap the Sony NEX - 5N 1080/60 p AVCHD files. As to keep the HD video quality and to avoid rendering, I would use the codec ProRes of Apple the FCP and the DNxHD codec in AMC. The two codecs are the best codec for each editing software, so the best way is to convert the Sony NEX - 5N format AVCHD to the ProRes FORMATS for FCP or Transcode AVCHD to MOV DNxHD for Avid Media Composer on Mac.

  • KB2628259 doesn't install, cannot create the directory or file. Anyone know of a solution?

KB2628259 doesn't install, cannot create the directory or file. Anyone know of a solution?

    Hi dakota25,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    ·         You get the error message?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Method 4: Follow the steps in the article.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

  • Cannot create because of hidden file hiberfil.sys.

I can't activate hibernate on my Windows XP Home Edition because it is actually impossible to create the hiberfil.sys file. Any attempt to create the file cause error 'access denied '. I am an administrator on the computer and you can create any other file in the root directory of the system E: drive.
Sort the list of files in the root directory, I think do not show the file. Any attempt to open the result file in 'access denied '.
Cacls hiberfil.sys prints "the system cannot find the file specified."
However, there are few programs that can see the file. For example, MyDefrag can show map disk file and the E:\hiberfil.sys file is considered to be a file system.
What would you recommend to remove this invisible file?

OK, I managed to solve the problem.
Using disk hex editor I changed the name of hiberfil.sys to hiberfil.syt in $MFT, then chkdsk some kind restored the file and changed Hibernate service its size in current memory of the PC. The file is now visible.
I'll check if hibernation is actually at work.

Try first to unplug the mass storage device, then reconnect and format it by Righ click on Format.

Then try to paste these files on this USB key again.

If it fails this time then format your USB using HP USB stick formatting to http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?swItem=MTX-UNITY-I23839 tool

I try to update my Windows Vista to Windows 7. I bought to download the rom update the Microsoft store and downloaded, but when I try to start the upgrade I have a stateing message that it is impossible to create or save new files in the folder where it was downloaded. I checked the security permissions in the file and made sure that no programs are 'read only', but it won't always go beyond this point!

    Hello

What is the edition of Windows Vista installed on the computer?
Make sure that you upgrade to the correct version, some versions of Windows cannot be upgraded with the installation disc you are trying to use. For example, you cannot upgrade a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version, or upgrade a higher edition of Windows like Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, to a lower edition, such as Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. If this is the case, you will need to use the custom during installation option.
Before you attempt to upgrade, please run the Windows 7 upgrade Advisor:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor
Also, check if your computer is compatible for Windows 7, using the Compatibility Center:
