CS4 & Acrobat Pro Extended 9 updates does not.

I just bought a new laptop HP running win 8.1 64bits. After installing CS4 & Acrobat 9, I can't the Adobe Update Manager to work. It breaks down (incident) or tells me that there is no update available. I tried to install a new version of update mgr, but it fails to install. I tried to download 9.5.5 updated for Windows, but it also fails telling me I don't have this version on my system. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall the original software, all to nothing does not. Any suggestion would be appreciated. BTW, I also have a new Dell 8.1 64-bit running the same software and it updated fine. ????

  • Acrobat Pro 11.0.10 does not allow to convert me or batch convert MS Word to PDF files

I installed the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro for Windows (11.0.10) as a trial version.

When I convert a file Menu file / create...  PDF from file, a dialog box appears.

In the list there is no mention of MS Word (.doc, docx) files anywhere in the list of supported file types.

However, Excel and Powerpoint are in the list.

If I try to go to the batch to create files and manually, drag a document MS word on the palette, that adds it to the list but when I click on OK to start the conversation by lots, that it fails to convert.

I am running Windows 7 and and 2013 Office installed with all the latest service packs and patches applied.

I tried to do a repair of Microsoft Office, but that he did not set.

Uninstalled Acrobat Pro several times and also did not set.

I will definitely not buy this software if it does not recognize the Word as the reason that I was experimenting, he had to give me a way to bulk convert a lot of Word documents both rather having to open each one in the word itself and save to the PDF format.

  • Acrobat 10.1.7 update does not open

Acrobat X was purchased as part of the suite CS6. I installed it on my desktop Dell and Samsung laptop computer. Both machines are running Windows 7-64 bit and Internet Explorer 9. Version 10.1.6 worked fine on both machines. I installed the 10.1.7 update yesterday, 5/15.

Today Acrobat 10.1.7 works well on Dell desktop computer

It does not open on the Samsung laptop. When I click on the Acrobat icon desktop or try to run from the Start Menu, nothing happens. There is no error message.

I also have a click with the right button on a PDF file, choose open with sailed to Acrobat X in my Program Files folder and tells to use this program as the default. Yet once again, the problem has not been corrected.

I went into the control panel and repair installing Acrobat 10.1.7. This has not fixed the problem.

Finally, I uninstalled Acrobat and reinstalled the whole Creative Suite, get back version 10.1.1. Works without problems, including Add on IE for the conversion of web pages.

    Hello

Please go ahead and update your program. You have installed Acrobat with CS6, we face problems of launch.

After release of the program, if you are having problems launching, try to run Acrobat Patch.

I agree with PA bear "you can't trust the security of ANY computer used until you've formatted the hard drive & then made a clean installation of Windows.  "

But if you do not want or you cannot perform a clean install and are willing to take the risk of infecting other computers on the home network, read on:-

To determine which service pack is currently installed on your computer, follow these steps:

    1. Click Startand then click run.
    2. Copy and paste, or type the following command, and then click OK:

    winver

A dialog box displays the version of Windows and the service pack that is currently installed on your computer.

  • Acrobat 8 Pro ' Check for Updates ' does not not (Windows 7, 64-bit)

I have Acrobat 8 Pro installed on my Windows 7 (64 bit) system; specifically v8.1.3. When you try to use the feature of ' Check for Updates ' application, Adobe Updater displays the following message: "no Internet connection found.  Please check your Internet settings or firewall. »

I do not encounter this error if you use the "Update" functionality with other applications such as Photoshop Adobe elements & Reader.  I have an internet connection.

I installed on my laptop Vista Acrobat 8 Pro and the feature "Check for Updates" works as expected.

All the words of wisdom on why I encounter this problem on my Windows 7 system and/or how to fix it?  Thanks in advance.

Problem has been resolved (the solution in a post on the forum of the Adobe Web site):

CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK CONNECTIONS >

Windows "gave me" a "Wireless Network Connection 3" that has been identified as a "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter"

I clicked it and chose to "disable."

Once the 'virtual' card has been deactivated, my Adobe Acrobat Update Manager launch worked well.  I've seen this problem on Windows 7; never lived with my XP or Vista systems.

  • Acrobat Pro 11 on Sierra: does not scan

Hi, since the update I can't see the scanner HO Officerjet 6830 pro when I want to "create a PDF from a scanner.

Anyone with the same problem? If so, any solution?

    Thanks and greetings

Acrobat XI came out at the time of the Mac OS 10.9 or 10, but Mac OS 10.12 came out a few years later. Apple is always changing its connection to external devices. If you can not wait that an old version supports a BONE later. If it works, it's fine, as he will for many, but when it comes of problem, especially with the scanners and cameras, and deep into the woven BONE feature you are out of luck.

No, it's not a bug. Apple never mind on backward compatibility. These things happen with Apple with any upgrade.

  • Need to update my Acrobat 9.0.0 Pro to 9.5.5 version. Where can I find the necessary files - because the update does not seem to react (not supported any more, I guess that)

Need to update my Acrobat 9.0.0 Pro to 9.5.5 version. Where can I find the necessary files - because the update does not seem to react (not taken care no more, I assume that). I wouldn't be forced to buy a newer software in this way...

You can get all updates from here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/

Remember that you must install in order, one after the other.

  • Acrobat Pro extended update

After a computer crash, I had to re - install my version of Acrobat Pro Extended 9. This succeeded and now I have version 9.0 again. However the previous installation was gradually upgraded to version 9.5. «I ran the update, but said: there is no update available now» I then look at the site and down load was AcrobatUpd945_all_incr.msi hoping to run updates. This does not work either - reported that the patch cannot be executed.

I want to update where I was before the computer crash that I realize that there are a number of important security issues that have been addressed. Of course, I can solve the problem by buying the latest version (XI) and indeed I have a copy of the XI version on another machine, but I am opposed to forced to do when version 9 works perfectly and I had no problems for several years. I use Acrobat intensively to create forms and love the product. Please help direct me on how I can run the appropriate updates. The domain should be somewhere and available. I know that Adobe no longer support version 9, but surely I can retreat to my previous happy state?

You may need to install every update in the order of 9.1 to 9.5.5

You can download the updates on the site of Adobe FTP ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/9.x/

  • Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0.0 Admin install update

    Hello

I'm trying to update our deployment of Acrobat Pro Extended Version 9.0.0 for the last patch, 9.1.3.

We are not deploying updates via Group Policy, as our deployment of Acrobat Pro is "we demand", I initially therefore wishes to update the administrative installation point.

I think it's important to point out that our software has been downloaded from the Adobe licensing website and it is not copied to all CD/DVD media.

    My base this process is:

Download files fix for Acrobat Pro Extended for Windows, Adobe:

    • AcroProExUpd910_all_incr.msp (is easier to find on the site of downloadable update at the time of this post)
    • AcrobatUpd911_all_incr.msp
    • AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp
    • AcrobatUpd913_all_incr.msp

Which, based on the article on http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/498/cpsid_49880.html , I understand that:

    • 9.1.0 is a quarterly update
    • 9.1.1 is a security update
    • 9.1.2 is a quarterly update
    • 9.1.3 is an update of safety (supposed, as he came in the wake of the current security patches)

Therefore, I think that I need to update my 9.1.0, AIP then 9.1.2 (acceptable according to the release notes for the patch) and then to the 9.1.3, thus completing my task.

My problem is the patches currently running on the AIP.  Normally I use a custom installation, but to rule out this possibility, I'm ONLY using the downloaded software - no procedure of local customization applied using the Adobe Customization Wizard.

Fixes in version 9.0.0 version 9.1.0 using msiexec /a Acro3D.msi /p AcroProExUpd910_all_incr.msp ŒUVRES!  Installation is not completed, no error.

Patch the 9.1.0 version 9.1.2 using msiexec /a Acro3D.msi /p AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp FAILS!  The installation program reports a missing interop.adobepdfmakerx.dll in the Data1.cab file.  Google search reveals sources unlikely to download this missing file.

Patching can not continue, as 9.1.2 is a sine qua non to the 9.1.3.  I have the same problem with application 9.1.1, although the article above makes ignore me trying to get this to work.

Does anyone have advice, where I'm wrong?

    Thank you!

    UPDATE:

After more digging around, it seems that 9.1.x updates are only for Pro and Standard, while the Update 9.1 is explicitally for the Pro Extended product.

All 4 patches patch an "installed" version of the Acrobat Professional Extended product, however the 9.1.2 update will not patch the administrative installation point, probably because of different version (Pro or Standard, no Pro Extended patch patch), which results in the error of missing file.

The Security Bulletin Adobe clearly says the fixes are available for Standard, Professional and extended, and yet the patches do not seem to work!  That's just crazy!

I had exactly the same problem. After struggling for hours, I finally found a working solution.
It seems that the MSI 9.0.0 sequence numbers are not properly adjusted by 9.1.0 Patch!
One way as a workaround is to remove disturbing lines with an msi editor.

Important note: this solution is only the media kits carrying Acrobat Versions 9.0.0. Higher versions 9.1.0 do not show the problem described with error 1334.

In addition, version 9.0.0 series won't work for 9.1.0. You will need improved series!

Firstly, patch Acrobat 9.0.0 to 9.1.0 using Librarians AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp
    (msiexec /a acropro.msi /p AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp)

To avoid the error 1334, use the ORCA msi editor (easy to find via google) and open the acroXXX.msi currently patched Version 9.1.0

ORCA in: access the table: file and then find more entries (use search in the menu)

upgrade to 9.1.2... delete the line...
    Interop.adobepdfmakerx.dll (AutoCad 2009 AddOn)
Right click and delete the entries by choosing 'Drop-Row' - confirm the warning, and then save the package

you are now able to patch the administrative image with AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp.
    (msiexec /a acropro.msi /p AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp)

    upgrade to 9.1.3...
    Go to the table: file

In the 'File' table, sort the rows by 'component '.

Scroll to the component "Acrobat_Navigators_MultiLingual" (remove all entries of components-)
    (e.g., adobegridfilepreview.nav, AdobeGridSidebar.nav...)
Use Ctrl-Shift-X to clear all marked both

Scroll down to component 'PDFMaker_AutoCad_2009' (remove all entries of components)
    (pdfmacad.arx acrobatacadic.arx acrobatacadic.dbx...)
Use Ctrl-Shift-X to clear all marked both

Scroll down to component 'rtpdll' (remove the entry with patchw32.dll)
    (e.g. Patchw32.dll)

Scroll down to component 'UpdateFiles_910' (remove all entries of components)
Remove all component files named "UpdateFiles_910".
Use Ctrl-Shift-X to clear all marked both

Scroll down to component 'UpdateFiles_912' (remove all entries of components)
Remove all component files named "UpdateFiles_912".
Use Ctrl-Shift-X to clear all marked both

    Save the package!

You are now able to patch the administrative image with AcrobatUpd913_all_incr.msp to the latest version.
    (msiexec /a acropro.msi /p AcrobatUpd913_all_incr.msp)

I'm trying to update the firmware on my HP Officejet Pro X451dw (CN463A), but the firmware update fails with the error "This Firmware Updater does not contain updates for your device." More precisely:

    1. With the help of EWS, I confirmed that my current firmware is very old (it lists the firmware version of BWP1CN1315FR, which means 1315FR, right?, dating almost the time I bought the printer about 3 years ago).
    2. I downloaded the firmware ("OJP_X451dw_R1640A_updated.dmg") was last updated, copied 'HP Firmware Updater' in /Applications and then he ran.
    3. It shows my printer in the Device Discovery list. I selected and clicked on continue.
    4. He thinks for a while, displaying "recovery information...". »
    5. After a wait of 30 seconds (approx.), it displays "EC Firmware Updater does not contain updates for your device."
