• RAM Preview plays is not in real time on the new Macbook Pro

  I have problems getting after effects to play the video in real time in AE CS6. I use a brand-new Macbook 2015 Pro 13 "retina with a dual core 3.1 GHz processor Intel Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM. I just made sure my copy of AE CS6 is up-to-date with the latest updates (11.0.4.2), and yet I am unable to read the video or animation in real time using the RAM Preview to any size greater than 25% in the Viewer.  If I try to play a video clip of 29,976 fps, the framerate tops out at about 17-18 frames per second. When I press 0 for the RAM Preview, it starts caching the images such as normal, but even after a loop continuous cadence comes not near real-time. The audio plays fine, but the video starts immediately behind. I can't even a scene of simple great test of a form of retouching layer move on the playback screen in the real time RAM Preview.

  That said, I can get it to play in real time if I reduce the viewer up to 25%. But obviously, I won't be limited to work in quarter resolution on a new laptop. My last Macbook pro from 2008 and completely across the well treated RAM previews, being able to cache images and play them back in real time without problem.  I have to assume that there may be a function that I'm missing or something goes wrong, unless I just grossly overestimated the capabilities of my new laptop.  But surely, it should be able to manage simple video playback. I had no problem using first on this computer, then it can of course deal with the video.  Any help you can offer would be much appreciated, because this problem becomes really frustrating!

  Just for fun, try the trial of CC 2015 and see if it behaves correctly.

  The problem is that I regularly receive a Visa Read error-1073807339 ("timeout expired before the operation is completed") when running in real time, but NEVER in execution to highlight mode.

  The posts here suggests that the calendar can cause the read to run before writing was able to finish. So, I used one - manually controlled while loop, sequence and blocks waiting for try and ultra Structure separated blocks of reading and writing of overlap between them. But it still does not work!

  If you happen to open the VI I attached, you will see that I use a serial port. This is because I use a USB of Prologix-GPIB adapter to interface with the scope (I don't have an adapter USB of NOR-GPIB). I used successfully this Prologix adapter for over 2 years to connect perfectly with an amplifier to locking SR830 and several other devices, so I don't think that's the problem...

  I have problems of my sequences caching. As long the AE is always rendered images my reading is never in real time, it will be stutter audio until operations complete are cached. Makes me and my clients go nuts, so every time I want to playback of a composition, I manually turn off the audio, the cache of the sequence playing, which makes them note every time, "Oh a little slow" and "There is no sound" etc and I have to explain that his not playing not, just cached.

  I went back to the old way: Cache first before reading. The real-time playback + caching does not work...

  Also the 'working area of the Cache in the background "has disappeared... Why?

  If you have present clients, I totally recommend cache before play (like the old RAM Preview) option. Unfortunately, you can not have cache in the background (yet). I've linked the explanation in my response to your other post.

  Have you seen the preview videos or all the videos of NAB? The next version of AE wants to focus on the stability of playback, speed, etc. so it could get a little better. Acceleration using GPU for some effects (finally!) makes a big difference!

  Are you new to AE? You're doing a ram preview? After Effects uses a completely different method of reading a NLE or a media player. Sometimes it takes a while for your system.

  We don't know any specificity unless you give us details about your project, your system and your version of AE to the last comma. More often, people try to preview segments of length of a model of EI at full resolution (resolution should never be higher than the zoom factor). I have mine set to Auto in the window of the model and usually have 50% zoom factor. You're probably a little more taxing your system.

  I've created a little demo that had a FMR slide in it.  The published final result must be available for the computer laptop and iPAD.  When I published to SWF/HTML5 and hosted on a web server, the demo worked fine (SWF version).  However for HTML5 demo worked well, with the exception of the slide FMR who plays at all and just had a loading message which remained on screen.  After reading this and other forums and google, I replaced the FMR slide with a slide CPVC still to SWF/HTML5 and edited tested but have the same result of loading for HTML5 output message.

  Anyone has any ideas how to fix?

  Hmmm, I'm especially successful when a dia FMR does not play by replacing it with a CPVC-slide (which is output to MP4, H264, which is compatible with HTML). How did you test: try to publish and upload to a Web server.

• Chronology of lag, line read head not aligned with the playhead after 8.1 update!

  Everyone knows this? See attached screenshot. The white line clings around the time indicator resulting in what you see below, in addition, the read head line is not actually bordered the read head himself, make changes the picture quite impossible!   Hi Mark Mapes and GarethCLS. I found out what the problem was/is here! It was because my Windows system fonts have been fixed at a size of 125%. I changed the size of the font to 100% in Windows and hey presto everything works as it should now in this regard, no line of collage and the read head and the line are aligned correctly. It wasn't a problem before the update by 2014 CC as I had my fonts to 125% for the years! Now I'm squinting at my text that I have to keep it at 100% for the PP is displayed correctly! Please my op for details before you ask Mark Mapes. Stabilizing warp will not apply to one of the clips on the timeline or change it back between the GPU acceleration and software makes no difference, it's just the size of the police who made this place.

  Well I have searched this and have developed empty. What I would do, is to have a picture of a diagram on the front panel and during execution of the VI user can somehow zoom in/out the image in real time.

  I know there is something that is called Zoomfactor that you instantiate a way in the block diagram, but that seems to zoom in on a picture of race prior to the program. The zoom is not in real time. There is no possibility of real user to zoom in/out with free will, using the Zoomfactor I see. (Sorry I forgot display name of the service). And I saw messages by a man named George Zou that seems to come with a VI which is closest to what I want, but I pulled the VI site seems not compatible with my computer (my rig is under XP with Labview 2013 currently).   Use a structure of the event to change magnification during execution.

  You can even program your own shortcuts to the structure of the event, for example if the user clicks on a particular point on the picture and you read this coordinate on, and you zoom way at this point remains in the Center... There are many options to play with...

• AE4: real-time audio

  I imported an audio file in my calendar.  When I select the RAM preview it will play the song from the beginning, but how can I play the song in real time in order to change and synchronize words with the video?  I want to pass the bar of chronology everywhere and always to hear audio playback.  Not have to do a little adjustment, start the song from the beginning and wait until he gets to the section I'm working on.

  The computer has been upgraded to the Mavericks 10.9.5.      I use the upgrade of the vague term, BTW.       Now...  RAM previews play more in real time.  Plus I get - it fluctuates - is 19, 20, 23 frames per second, never 29.97.    Sometimes he hits all the way up to 40, 45, 47, as he plays catch-up, but this is rare.

  -Restart the computer. No change.

  -All projects.   Makes no difference, old existing or new projects.

  -Even a simple projects 1-layer with simple position animation, no effect - not in real time.

  -8 bit, not only 16 or 32-bit mode.

  -Color on and outside management.

  -Simulate the output on and outside.

  -Preferences-> video preview has been updated AJA, so I tried only computer monitor.  It does not either.

  -Full ground, half, quarter.... is not serious.    Never in real time.

• How can I play a clip of the position of the read head instead of from the point to?

  In first Pro CC, if I already put an in and out point in my source monitor, space plays clips of the point bar in only.  I prefer to be able to move my CTI at any place in my clip, press the space bar and play from there, but it always aligns the point in and play from there.

  Yes, 7.2.1 represents the current version.

  Normal default behaviour of the organism is exactly as you want it to be. By pressing the space bar should start playing the position of the read head. Playing around should similarly work compared to the CTI.

  As to why these commands do not work as expected, I see that two causes:

  1. keyboard shortcuts have been customized. It's easy enough to check. Just open the keyboard shortcuts dialog box and research "Toggle Play-Stop" and "play out."
     Of course, the shortcuts could be the culprit if the wandering behavior is limited by using shortcuts. You have not indicated if the buttons give the same results.
  2. Something is messed up in the preferences of the AGENCY. To check this possibility, I recommend that you close the BODY, rename the folder profile- ... \Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\7.0, then revive the ORGANIZATION. In this way, if this measure does not resolve the problem, you can easily return to your customized preferences by removing the new profile - folder and rename the file old back its original name.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and

  When you try to cut (using the CMD + B tool or a blade to cut the read head) it's offset Cup at the beginning of a block of gray 1 second at the place where the playhead is actually.

  How can I get the tool of the blade to cut on the head rather than be compensated?

  You zoomed with so you can see the video images individually. It is not possible to cut in a single video frame, it is possible to cut at the level of framework sup with audio.
