CUCM 8 and Tandberg E20

Hi all

I tried and tried to record my E20 to the CUCM8.0 (3) as a third-party SIP (Advanced) with no luck.

Someone at - it step by step for her.

I have set up for the end user with username 1000 and digest the 12345 password

Set up the new device as 3rd party SIP advanced

Digest enabled in the device profile

selected the user created earlier as a user digest

used the Standard SIP profile for the SIP profile

On the E20, I configured the SIP 1 profile with

Proxy 1 - IP address of the CUCM8

Authentication username - 1000

Password - 12345

URI - 1000 (I tried [email protected]/ * / _address_cucm)

And I can't function. Can anyone help with this please. You don't see any problem with my setup. Thank you

Adnan

Adnan,

I recently had to set up a SIP of Mitel 5224 CUCM 8.5 phone.  Here are the steps I did to make it work.

/ * Style definitions * / table. MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name: "Table Normal" "; mso-knew-rowband-size: 0; mso-knew-colband-size: 0; mso-style - noshow:yes; mso-style-priority: 99; mso-style - qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:" ";" mso-padding-alt: 0 to 5.4pt 0 to 5.4pt; mso-para-margin: 0; mso-para-margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; do-size: 10.0pt; do-family: "Times New Roman", "serif" ;} "}

Procedure for the establishment of a third party SIP device with CUCM (5224 Mitel in this case):

CUCM single installation:

1. create a SIP profile for the third-party SIP phone that is a copy of the Standard SIP profile

2 create a copy of the profile for the third-party SIP phone advanced security SIP Phone and check the authentication Digest

Installation of CUCM telephone:

/ * Style definitions * / table. MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name: "Table Normal" "; mso-knew-rowband-size: 0; mso-knew-colband-size: 0; mso-style - noshow:yes; mso-style-priority: 99; mso-style - qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:" ";" mso-padding-alt: 0 to 5.4pt 0 to 5.4pt; mso-para-margin: 0; mso-para-margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; do-size: 10.0pt; do-family: "Times New Roman", "serif" ;} "} 1. create the SIP phone in CUCM as a basic or advanced SIP device

(Basic requires 3 DLU gives you 1 line. Advanced requires 6 DLU and gives you up to 8 lines with video)

a. use the SIP and the security profile you created previously

b. set the phone user digest to the end user of the phone

c. create a line for the phone and note the extension

2. find the end user you want assigned to a phone in CUCM

a. set their Digest credentials (this can be critical assigned to be the same password for all users, but there's a security risk)

b. associate phone end-user normally

Third-party SIP telephone phone installation (this is specific to a 5224 Mitel therefore do everything that is needed for your phone):

  1. Phone start pressing down on the *SUPERKEY* (blue button)
  2. Use the phone keys to SIP mode and the phone will restart
  3. Find the IP address of the phone and connect on the phone admin page (sup: admin p: 5224)
  4. Select the Quick Start link on the left

a. the user is the extension in the call manager

(b) full name of the user, it's how you want the phone shows the number/user

c. SIP to authenticate user and password are the user username and password SIP Digest in CUCM

d. SIP Proxy server is the address IP of CUCM

e. SIP Register Server is the address IP of CUCM

f. press on apply

From what I've read above maybe your security profile is not setup correctly?  Moreover, if the Tandberg camera does not make the distinction between the phone user name and the username for authentication then then end-user in CUCM name must also be the extension number. If it is to distinguish between them, you can use the user name of the phone as an extension (do not use the @) and the user name to authenticate as user name of the end user.

I hope this helps.

  • Integration of CUCM, CTS and TMS

We currently have a 8.6/CTS-Man/CTMS CUCM environment for our telepresence system.  All systems are CTS only.  Currently, connect us to a Tandberg system via Server CUBE/VCS/telepresence.

We are looking at the possibility of integrating the two systems together.  This would involve decommissioning our CTS-man and using their existing planning TMS.  Networks would be open to each other so that they didn't cross highway of CUBE/VCS.

Can someone tell me please to some documents on the integration of the TMS with our CUCM for planning?

Furthermore, is it possible to have a single MSDS to perform the planning on the two CUCM registered CTS and saved VCS Tandberg endpoints end points, as well as to perform planning tasks for Community trade marks and MSE8000/telepresence Server?

    Thank you

    Hi Nick

It is a very good question, and the bellows are drawn from the responses on the features that each product can provide you (CTS - Man and TMS) however as we know the TP Cisco world is changing and moving quickly if the bellows has been updated / changed and can someone comment on this topic will be great for us

    Meetings 1-booking

    TMS:

    -adhoc and meetings,

    -3rd-party endpoints reservation.

    -Ms Exchange, Domino, and API

    CTS - Man:

-mainly used for endpoints STC booking

-You can book and include cisco webex

    -Ms Exchange, domino and API

    2 features

    TMS:

    -End suppliers Multi points

    -Telephone directories

    -planning of conf

-management endpoints (monitoring, Reporting, strong alerts... etc)

    -commissioning

-integration with 3rd party such as Ms exchange

-"There is no button to push" for the endpoints of CTS (you can add CTS alis for TMS rooms and book it or add the E164 of the external endpoint CTS as a participant and not these means are a button to push the meeting!

    CTS-MAN

    -integration of calendar

-Midware between CTS, CUCM system and society of calendaring system

-provide 'a button to push' scheduled meetings

-provide interoperability simplified such planning via Cisco MXE

-Live English option and CTMS geographical selection

for each of them can provide you with options and features and its depends on the needs of your business, you could keep both or just go with one, if you have endpoints of VCS I would say for sure to the TMS

  • Update Tandberg E20 TE2.1.0 TE4.1.1. Phone is set to both data & Voice VLAN

I've updated a Tandberg E20 TE2.1.0 to TE4.1.1 (without encryption) phone is now appear in the two VLANS data & voice/video.

It seems that the voice traffic and data is properly managed, due to the fact that when I STOP the audio/video/VLAN no appeal that can be sent or received.

Q: do I need to worry about why the phone of Tandberg is now appear in the two VLANS data & voice/video?

    Thank you, Scott

    Hello

I think what happens is that when the device is initializing, DHCP tries to get the IP address to the VLAN 100 native. After that CDP discovers there is a voice VLAN, endpoint application address DHCP VLAN 11. So you see twice MAC:

    #sh table of mac addresses

    Mac address table

    -------------------------------------------

    VLAN Mac Address Type Ports

    11 0050.6004.2451 DYNAMICS Gi0/2 / / Tandberg E20

    100 0050.6004.2451 DYNAMICS Gi0/2

If you open the MAC address table, the entry for 100 will disappear [I hope].

The other entrance to the connected PC is normal.

    #sh table of mac addresses

    Mac address table

    -------------------------------------------

    VLAN Mac Address Type Ports

    100 1803.73e3.083c DYNAMICS Gi0/2 / / workstation connected to E20

We have a DDT where we would not obtain a correct address in the case of CDP Auto: CSCtx84402.

Should be fixed in the TC6 release.

  • Update Tandberg E20 TE2.1.0 TE4.1.0. Encrypt or not encrypt?

    Hello

I am CCNP, but a beginner VOIP, just took a new job.  That is why the first VOIP LAN.

I upgraded my LAN using switches of WS-C3560X.  I'm upgrading 60 Tandberg E20 video phones from TE2.1.0 to TE4.1.0 because of the E20 not finding the vlan voice.

I use Avaya S8800 Server CM 5.2.1 with Avaya phones model 9640D01A-1009 and model Tandberg E20 video phones.

I am trying to decide which software to use; with encryption or no encryption.

    Software Cisco E20

    S52100te4_1_1.pkg AES encryption

    No encryption s52101tenc4_1_1.pkg

Q1.  What's being encryption?  Voice traffic is the obvious answer to this, no?

Q2.  This device is at the other end of the encryption?  CM or telephone

Q3.  Since the appeal will go outside my Avaya CM (ie. call to the outside world), encryption important?

Thank you for your time and effort.

    Scott

    Hello.

S52100te4_1_1.pkg AES encryption for the countries where the AES encryption are allowed.

No s52101tenc4_1_1.pkg encryption is the countries where VOIP encryption is not allowed by law.

You have only one key to unlock for one of them, so there is really no other choice.

You can choose to disable encryption on the TE4 version (so it will have the same function as the TENC4), but you are not able to activate encryption on the TENC4.

TE4 encryption is disabled by default, in any case, if the different software versions are here just for the legal question.

Q1: Call for installation and the RTP stream can be configured to be encrypted on TE4.

    Q2: Endpoint or device interop

Q3: It depends if your Avaya CM supports encryption or not.

    Thank you

  • Tandberg E20 and CUCM 8.6

    Hello

I have 2 tandbergs what e20 integrated in CUCM 8.6

1 registered as Native running TE4.1.1.273710 firware version

1 registered as third-party SIP device (Advanced) TE2.2.1.224666

I tried registered as 3rd party peripheral running TE4.1 but without success. I made different ways to try, but always without success.

1 - it is possible to register under 3rd party running TE4.1...? or only works if TE2.2 is running. ?

2 - the E20 which is registered as 3rd party Sip, while im trying to place a call to an extension of the appeal take about 15 seconds to set up, it is

the normal behavior? or there is a way to adjust the settings to place the call more quickly?

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards!

    Hello Victor,.

I recommend you to use CUCM 8.6.2a

and E20 on 4.1.2 TE or TE 6.0

It would probably solve your problem.

Cisco does not encourage the registration of the party device 3rd on CUCM and you can deal with any call setup.

    Thank you

  • Upgrade of Tandberg E20, EX90 and C20

    Dear Experts,

I have Tandberg old endpoints with versino points and I want to upgrade in order to be registered to CUCM natively.

    C20 version is T3.1.2

    EX9-version is T3.1.2

E20 I am unsure with the version.

    I want to install C20 and EX90 T7.0 and E20 version to version T4.1

What is required for the upgrade, which is the steps? is there an intermediate version upgrade or we can do a direct upgrade later.

    Thanks in advance

    Anas

    Hello

You can go forward with a direct upgrade. It's not a problem but its compatibility with the version of cucm depends on.
Olexsander having already asked of the cucm verion it is critical info just in case you are not running on a more recent/compatible version and not in a situation of cucm upgrade.

  • VCS CUCM BFCP and area profile

    Hello

Referring to the VCS Release Notes:

If you configure a trunk to CUCM 8.6, you must create a custom SIP section which does not remove the lines BFCP to CUCM. If you choose CUCM as profile in the VCS, BFCP will be removed and double flow (BFCP) is not possible between CUCM and VCS.

If this has been resolved with VCS X7.0.3 and if not, what do I have to set in the profile of custom interop with CUCM area?

    Thank you!

    Hi Tino,

Thank you for this comment. I'll test in my lab.

  • Migrate CUCM, CUP and CUC VMS from the physical server Dell to a UCS

    Hi all

We have 3 virtual machines from one physical server to Dell, we want to migrate those virtual machines from a server of the UCS.

    Reference Dell physical server:

    Model: PowerEdge M610

    UCS: Version of UCS B200 M4 3.0 (2 c)

I was wondering if just copy all the files of the virtual machine to another server or there is another procedure to do this... and also we need new licenses of vmware?

    Thank you very much!!

    Kind regards!

ESXi licenses is up to you, you might have bought it so that the UCS, or buy directly from VMWare, but you need to license.

As for traffic, if you have vCenter, you can move the virtual machines using it (vMotion and/or Storage vMotion), or if not, you can perform a cold migration.

  • Question about commissioning of the E20s - CUCM and TMS

If we now run software CUCM 8.6.2 and 4.1 E20.  I played with CUCM and TMS supply by and a few questions.

It seems that there are some features that can be set via the TMS models that cannot be resolved via CUCM (MTU, custom, etc commands).  Is it possible to apply these settings through TMS while having the unit registered in CUCM?

Essentially, I want my call recording platform CUCM and control, but want to keep the granularity that TMS offers in terms of commissioning etc..  I expect the same problems with C-series, etc.

Am I right in saying that, in order to get the E20 to join CUCM, I need to define the external Manager to "CUCM", and thus eliminate any possibility of TMS to manage? Otherwise, what is I could have managed by TMS and then set the SIP of the E20 to point to CUCM via templates in TMS?

    Any tips on that?

    Hello

Having both TMS and CUCM to manage endpoints is not a good idea (yet). TMS and CUCM will return to each of the other toes with unpredictable results.

With TMS 13.2, I understand that you should be able to import the CUCM in TMS and then find all systems registered to it and import these into TMS, however in this case TMS plan only systems conferences and will manage them not active (you can see status of the call as well).  13.2 TMS is not yet released, so that's what I said must be in this version.

So basically now if you use CUCM, use CUCM provisioning and don't use TMS.  We focus on interactions with systems registered with CUCM TMS and it will be more developed on this in the future.  I recommend you check out the TMS13.2 release notes released to see if it is mentioned.

    Thank you

  • Using the Codec C90 Tandberg T1 with CUCM

    Hi all

is it possible to register the Codec C90 a Tandberg T1 to the CUCM?

We are currently trying to save one, but the State of the record is still "failed: 485 ambiguous." The CUCM tells us that the record is rejected. Is it possible that the problem is the product ID, which is "Cisco Telepresence T1". We can only select C90 Cisco CUCM on. If it does not, and the device is rejected.

Is there a way to fix this? Perhaps saying the C90 is therefore more a T1? We have already tried to remove all optionkeys, but there is a 'unknown' type which cannot be deleted. Could this be the key T1?

    I hope good answers :)

    Kind regards

    Jannik

Looking at the matrix unit CUCM package compatibility, TANDBERG T Series end points are not supported, IE: are not.

If you do not want to use the codec C90 T1 of the TANDBERG itself and not the Q1 as a whole, you may be able to change the product key for the T1 be a C90 asking new license keys.  See t3-c90-codecs.

  • Adding a TX9000 and TX1300 to CUCM

If you follow the installation guide for the TX9000 and try to add the CUCM system TX system is not listed in the drop down the list of devices.

I downloaded the file for the CUCM system COP but the TX9000 or 1300 is not listed in the drop-down list when you add a new device.

Could someone point me in the right direction.

    TX9000 Version: 1.9.0

    CUCM Version: 8.6.2

    Hello

you have not (only) to download the firmware of endpoint (as you did via file COP upload), but you must install the last devicepack for your CUCM first.

(for example "Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.6 (2.22038) package of device"-Compatible Version UCM: 8,6)

This prepares CUCM webUI and download files of the Conference of the parties for the various points of entry (new end points such as TX and the files updated for existing devices).

    Keep in mind:

-Dev Package installation automatically change all the default firmware, then you may need to clean up these settings.

-You must install the pack of dev on each node of the Cluster CUCM

After you have installed the dev package, you will find the new endpoint TX points listed.

Once you have registered, you are free to install COP files newer than the next with the pack of the device.

    Good luck

    Thomas
