D0X18EA #ABU: parameters of scroll touchpad mouse not saved on restart windows 10
Scrolling settings don't are not saved when you restart the laptop. Recently updated windows 8.1 for windows 10. Everything worked before the upgrade. The version of the driver that is 19.0.12.95, date 15/07/2015 driver. Also as you can see on the image inserted in the test area, so it is black no test can be done.
Hello @Midasman,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.
I read your post about the update of Windows 10 and wanted to help you!
Have you tried to install the updated drivers using the HP Support Assistant, or the update of Windows? Please see the following to see if it helps:
HP products - where to find Windows 10 drivers and software for my model?
If you're still having problems, then I recommend using go back to a previous generation option, in your system settings:
HP Notebook PC - upgrade to Windows 10
Once you return to your original operating system, check to see if you encounter the same problem. If this isn't the case, then you can consider holding off on the update of Windows 10 for a few weeks, until what drivers can be updated.
Please let me know if this information has been helpful by clicking the thumbs up below.
Have a great day!

Touchpad mouse not working not
I bought my N 500 yesterday by a local dealer... I brought home, it opens, played with my screen and widgets, then decided to pop a dvd to see how he played. My mouse touchpad has stopped working the second, the movie started playing. the mouse in the control panel menu indicates that the device is working properly, the drivers are up to date. I can plug in a USB mouse and use the computer normally. Disabled the widgets in case it had something to do with that (I had just installed the widget of XM radio about 2 minutes ahead of the mouse on the fritz) I came back all the default mouse settings. Unplug the USB mouse, touchpad does not work...
guessed... it turns out that I hit the little button on the right above the keyboard when you adjust the volume and turn it off it... God I feel like a "retarded"...

Original title: scroll of the mouse wheel only adjusts the volume. How to scroll through the pages again?
Using the wireless mouse (Silvercrest MTS2218-m with win 7 x 64) and scroll wheel is no longer made scroll page up and down in any program. Only, it adjusts the volume. How to scroll through the pages again?
Already checked the settings in Control Panel > mouse nothing obvious here to change this annoying feature. And have already uninstalled the driver for the mouse in Device Manager but no change. have also stopped and started several times laptop.
Close to the scroll wheel is a dpi button, which can also be used to pass
between normal mode and media holding for 3 seconds. In media mode
the volume control wheel and does not scroll.
Read the manual... ;-) -

Satellite L305D - Touchpad does not work after installing Windows 7
I had recently installed Windows7 32 Bit there is almost a week on my Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934, and now the tablet to the PC no longer works.
I was reduced to using an optical mouse on my computer. I've updated all my drivers and firmware etc on the windows update software and still I have not been unable to get the touchpad working. Windows 7 had installed the driver of synaptic for the touchpad pointing stick, but im guessing that he needs a special Tosiba firmware to recognize the touchpad for this model. What should I do to get the touchpad working again?
Here are the specs of my model:
PC x 86 ACPI
64-bit AMD Turion X 2 processor
ATI Radeon 3100 graphics card
Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPadI installed Windows 7 on my Satellite Pro P300 and touchpad works properly. The OS is naked and I didn't install any additional touchpad driver.

Pavilion: the mouse settings not saved upon restart
Just bought a brand new HP Pavilion with windows 10 for £400. I'm about to return to the store unless someone can help me solve the reason for which the mouse for the touchpad settings will not save after reboot. Help, please.
Try the following.
Hold down the Windows key and press R
In the run box, type regedit and press enter
In the registry editor, navigate to the following
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install
Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade
If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit
Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.
Close the registry editor.
Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.
Kind regards

I tried to press ESC, then F11, but once more, the process has failed
I had also created recovery CD (in Total I have 4), I try to reinstalled with them by going to F9 and put the CD to be the first boot.
I get the following error message "this computer does not support the system recovery media. You are not able to restore the system with the media".

Hello
Here is another solution, you can try.
Before you try the following, make sure that you can still read all the key character product activation 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).
An example of a COA label can be seen here.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here. The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.
Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.
http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx
You may need, additional drivers and software are here.
Kind regards

personal settings not retained after restarting Windows XP
After that my professional trustworthy repaired my system and reinstalled Windows XP Pro (SP3), it was OK until I started to reload security applications (such as the ZoneAlarm firewall, blockers of spies, etc.)
Now, whenever the system reboots, all personal settings are lost (even though Windows says ' save settings' then stop). Keyboard settings, folder view settings, icon placement, etc. - all is lost.
I searched the Knowledge Base and Forums, with no obviously related results.Help?
Try disabling TeaTimer first. It will certainly impact the registry change. If this does not work, uninstall.
