Damaged user account

I already have a recent corrupt profile, and I solved the problem by creating a new. The problem is that I have a very important on my new document and that he was simply test it to see if it worked. Now, it is damaged and I can't make a new user profile by using the other account, because he is not an administrator account. My account, one that is now corrupted, does not have a password, so when I am asked for permission and I just click OK, nothing happens. I want to know if there is no way I can create a new user account without the need to confirm an administrator password. If not, then how to change that, when my account corrupted even won't let me sign in?

You really need to know why you get all these corrupt accounts. Corruption of the profiles can be caused by malware, by repeated interruptions due to file system corruption and bad hardware issues. For the immediate problem, allow the built-in Administrator, create an additional administrator user (or change the type of account to your new account from standard user to administrator). Then backup your data to external media (USB hard disk or USB key). After the data is safe, troubleshoot to find out why you get all this corruption profile. To enable the built-in Administrator, start with your Vista installation DVD. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode.  Or you can do a repair file Vista bootable DVD in this link:

http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent asmuTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need the third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com ) to burn the .iso image image file, not in the form of data.

Now remove the rescue CD/DVD, you have done, reboot Windows and log on to the built-in Administrator account, you enabled.

Make sure that the computer is free of viruses/malware:

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

If the computer is clean, test the equipment. Start with the RAM and hard drive.

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot

Once you get things recovered, create an additional administrative user by the recommendations below. Log in there and disable the administrator built-in again for security reasons.

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it can be more work you want to do. Better not to get into a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

However, I don't understand why we're required to go through this complicated process when we go to Control Panel - user accounts and family safety-user accounts - add and remove accounts delete user accounts until you can actually remove an account asks you if you want to keep the files of this account.  It is said that it can automatically save the contents of this user account office and favorite Documents, music, photos and videos in a new folder on the desktop.  I realize, this does not include e-mail messages, but I thought I could export those to a memory stick and then import them into my new user account.  It all seems a much simpler process than to create a new profile.  Why Microsoft suggests must create a new profile?

  • Managers of user accounts problem

I had a user account that has been password protected and I had to type the password every time at startup. If after reading a magazine I tweaked the registry and added that something called winlogon or something (I don't remember perfectly). Then I changed the existing pssword to a new. But now I have two different accounts with the same name. When the PC starts, I have to select one of them. For one I need to enter the password, but not for the other. can someone tell me how to disable this?

    Hi karim Shah,.

    (1) you are able to access all of your data and programs with user accounts?

    (2) don't you back up the registry before you edit?

You can undo all the changes made by restoring the registry (if a backup of the registry was taken, before editing).

Step 1: You can disable\remove the user account you want to remove from your computer. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below

    Disable a user account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-a-user-account

    Delete a user account
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/delete-a-user-account

Step 2: To identify the user account, you can rename the username you want to disable\remove. To do this, follow the steps below

    Rename a user account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/rename-a-user-account

Note: An account has been disabled can be enabled again later. Disable an account is different from the delete an account. If you delete an account, it cannot be restored. When a user account is deleted, you no longer have access. If you delete a user account that is working properly and be gone with a defective or damaged user account computer may not start. Ensure that you keep the user account that works correctly.

Step 3: run the system restore - You can put the backup from one computer to an earlier point in time and check if it makes a difference.

    What is system restore?

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. is the computer is joined to the domain controller?

You can not start any application on a client computer that is joined to the domain controller. When you try to start this type of application, you receive an error message similar to the following:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

This can also occur if the user account is damaged. If the computer is not connected to a domain controller, try the following steps.
    1. connect to another user account and create a new user account to fix the damaged user account.

    Hi Davy,.

You are the administrator of the account?

As you have tried the default user logon image, create a new user account can help you determine if the problem is related to the corruption of user account.

Otherwise, sign in with the account that has administrative rights and try to change the image.

Create a new user account and check if the problem persists, if the problem does not persist in the new user account, then you can fix the damaged user account.

  • Loss of user account settings

Lost my user account settings. Now start up with very limited features and white blue screen with some icons. Need help to restore the original settings if you please.

    Hello

This is probably due to a corrupted user profile causing to logon with a default profile, did you see a message to that effect? Corruption could be simple damaged files or due to the partial failure of hard drive.

The first thing you can do is backup all data of the suspect profile to another device as memory stick, USB hard disk or enternal. It is where the hard drive is faulty and you need to protect your data against the possibility that it will fail completely.

Your data will be most likely contained in the folders under C:\Documents and Settings\, for example if your login name was Martian, the issues will be

    C:\Documents and Settings\Martian\My Documents

    C:\Documents and Settings\Martian\Desktop

    C:\Documents and Settings\Martian\Favorites

    etc.

Of course, there is nothing store you your data in non-standard places, with whom I can't help except to advise to search for him if you don't remember where are these places.

Once your data is safe, you should check the status of your hard drive, see...

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315265

.. .the hard drive manufacturer will likely utilities perform drive diagnostics too.

Finally, if the disk hard drive remove OK, creates a new user and copies the data from your backup in the new profile, see...

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811151

    .. who can help.

  • Unable to access the user account

I have an old computer, but it is always useful.  On startup, I get this message:

What can I do to access my account and My Documents with all my stuff in it?

    Thank you very much!

Try to find that the problem with the user account is probably not worth the time it would take. Restart the computer in Safe Mode. When you are prompted, choose to log in to the administrator account. Go to control panel > user accounts. Create a new account here. Name anything at random for now. Now navigate to my computer > C drive open > Documents and Settings folder. Your old user account. Now locate all records containing your files. Copy and paste them in the folder appropriate for the new account. Now delete the old account.  You can now change the name of the new account name you had in the old account. It is probably the best way to fix it.

  • Rootkit causes my pc to not load my user account.

One day I tried to log on my user account, but it said something like windows cannot load the file, it may have been corrupted or something like that. Then he told me take up a temporary account and any changes made will not be saved when that I disconnect. I did a search on the computer with AVG 8 (free) but came back with nothing. So I did a rootkit scan and gave me 2 files. These are the files that he gave me:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfsnifs.sys

I believe that the two were the same files. No other user accounts have been injured, but all my files and documents are missing. I don't think they are gone, just.

Your problem description describes a typical problem of 'corrupted profile '.  It is a quite common phenomenon.  Sometimes running "chkdsk/r" will fix this problem and should be your first attempt to solve the problem:
