• Select the list with a shipment does not save to the database

  OK, I have a form with several fields (text, radiobox, selection list, display text). I have one of these lists of selection fill a display in the text field. When I chose a selection of the selection list, she filled the screen in the text field with the correct information but erased all the other information that was the inscription in the other fields.   Hi Deanna,
  First the display as a text cannot insert data into the database. It can only display data from database. I guess you do not want the user to enter these areas, and that's why you use display as text field.

  There is a good way to resolve this situation. Say, you have 3 select list P1_ITEM1, P1_ITEM2, P1_ITEM3 in your page. For the change of P1_ITEM1 the screen Select the list and the LOV type in your query, assuming you want the value to be retrieved from a table. Therefore, type-

  Select emp_id, ename from emp;

  type the default value and null -1 and display null YESvalue. Make sure that under the type of source, you have the selected with the correct name database column.
  for P1_ITEM2 to the section LOV retype your query - i.e.

  Select mng_id, executive pay where emp_id = NV('P1_ITEM1') or NV ('P1_ITEM1') = 1

  Basically, this statement updating the data in the list select second after the first selection. type the default value and null -1 and display null YESvalue. Make sure that under the type of source, you have the selected with the correct name database column.

  Do the same for the third. It should work fine.

  This forum is probably your best choice, Brandye would be one of the contacts I would use to make such a request.  If you are really interested in this, I would be further demand more.  Specifically, most Oracle certifications available to have a corresponding course available in the OU. If you want to create a new certification, one of the most compelling arguments would be to suggest a certification that tests information for which there are already one or more courses.  Looking at the current offerings of courses 12 c, the following two seem to come more close to what you ask for:

  Database Oracle 12 c: implement partitioning Ed 1

  Parallel processing in Oracle Database 12 c Ed 1

  These areas are covered somewhat in 1Z0 - 117.  You will need to make a case for a certification that hit different areas of knowledge.  Looking at the course for both subjects, partitioning has more that are not covered in-depth on 117.  However, it is supposed to be a 12 c Data Warehousing expertise certification coming out this year that may require a partitioning good knowledge.

  I just started to use Oracle Data Modeler to design a large database and I plan on how do. My idea was to create a main logic model and in other levels a greater detail of new entities. I thought there will be some sort of option such as the creation of an area or the bubble in the main level and by clicking on it, go to the other levels.

  As I can't find any background information with examples, I would be very happy if you can lend me a helping hand. I think that there is a way by creating subviews, poster or something like this bu, I'm a bit confused... I need to make a good design from the start to handle the design when the database grows in the future.

  Here is what you have:

  -main diagram containing all objects - if you have large model, do not touch

  -subview - you can put all of the objects on it related to a specific area

  -view - contains the same set of objects belonging to subview - idea is to have a different presentation of the objects on the screens - level of detail, to hide some elements, to change color (for display)

  In subview, you can hide the relations/foreign keys.

  You can create a network of subviews "Overview" - you can use drag - and drop on browser and drop a subview in an other subview. you will get the subview source - icon in the shortcut menu, you can choose to be "Composite view" and you'll get a diagram (can extend) and can select view to be represented. Then using 'See diagram' you can go to subview represented. Here, you can use "Go to chart" (in the context menu of the diagram) and navigate back.

• deployment of a BPM Application large Oracle with several projects of the user interface

  I'm working on a large application with Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5.0.
  
  I use JDeveoper 11.1.1.5.0 to build the application.
  The application has many tasks user with a lot of the UI (one for each task of the user).
  
  My problem is, whenever I make a small change in the project, I need to deploy this, which includes a master project and five or six projects UI (for now) for tasks of the user.
  As demand grows, I'm sure that this will certainly become a problem.
  
  So my question is if I do this the good sense? or should there be a more effective way?

  Hi Luke
  1. as a general rule, there is NO need to have a user interface project for an individual task. As initiator, approver, reviewer, LegalApprover etc etc, you have like 10 tasks (.task files). You can have just a single project of TaskForms UI and have taskDetails.jspx generated for each of these tasks. This is appropriately.

  2. any Application workflow must have only 2 deployers. Deploy resources are for real Workflow stuff that will have the main BPEL or process, BPM, human tasks etc. Basically, everything that goes into the workflow project. And another official of the deployment is that the REST of things means that the UI TaskForms project and other project support as useful projects, WebServices, EJB projects (if you have Web services). All this will be deployed as a SINGLE EAR.

  Lets take an example JDeveloper IDE point of view.
  1. application Name: SalesOrderApp
  2 workflow project name: SalesProcess (he is a a project jdeveloper project SOA or BPM Project type and has all human tasks, bpels, process bpm, rules etc.).
  3 interface user Project: SalesTaskForms (it is a form generated automatically for the first task you choose. Then for the rest of the tasks you can use this same project, to generate jspx for all others. WORK files. VIEW documents online on how to do it. I'll see if I can compile this list of URLS for you).
  3. support the EJB projects: MyEJBProject1 (some EJB project that connects to some specific to your back-end database project)
  4. support another Service EJB project: MyExtServiceProject1 (as another project EJB that uses data from an external source)
  5. some WebService project: SalesCreditCardValidationWebService (some WebService project to be deployed as. WAR file that performs a service).

  Try to apply the Concepts of SOA for each Service your application needs. Instead of putting all the EJBs and everying in one giant project, try to split their need logically commercial/sage and geenrate separate projects so that they can maintain as it is to other projects and other applications.

  Anyway, coming back, in the example above, you should have deployment just 2: 1 is the JAR file of SCA in the Workflow and another complete of the EAR file.
  (a) for the workflow project, right-click and generate a deployment profile to deploy all the workflow and NOT on the other projects of the user interface.
  (b) for each project individual genereate a profile of deployment such as MyEJBProj1, MyEJBProj2, MyWebService1, etc etc.
  (c) for TaskForms project, generate a deployment as SalesTaskForms profile. It is a WAR file.
  (d) at the level of the Application, create a new profile of deployment of the EAR type and now assemble all the projects in this EAR, with the exception of the Workflow project.

  First of all, you deploy file JAR of SCA of the Workflow. You need to redeploy this again only when you make changes to the workflow, humantasks etc etc.
  Deploy the full blown EAR file that has all the stuff (EJB JARs, TaskForm WARs, WebService wars etc.).

  At any time, you change your code taskforms or redeploy a java, ejb, EAR file.

  You should have a POT and an EAR to deploy at the end of the day. Infact this is how it should go into UAT, and production. They may not have many pots, multiple wars deployed. The reason why we have separated Workflow SCA Jar file is, because the workflow will not change frequently. And also older versions of SOA/BPM (before 11.5 FP) have a huge disadvantage. Whenever we deploy a workflow project, it will make existing processes VITIATED, unless you deploy a different version. This isn't a problem anymore for 11.5 + FP (Feature Pack applied). Therefore, be careful when you redeploy workflow project.

  You may have not told us what is your process. I have already mentioned:

  If so two possibilities come to mind:

  1 create a table of errors and change the INSERT to report errors. See the section "Inserting into a Table with the connection error" of http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_9014.htm. Note that this approach will not work if you use loads of direct path from the table of the newspaper will not be used.

  2. use the standard method to perform the processing in bulk with exception management:

      A. BULK COLLECT INTO plsqlTable LIMIT 5000
           These are your new records you want to INSERT
      B. FORALL ... SAVE EXCEPTIONS
            This is the INSERT query to insert the new records
      C. Use a bulk exception handler. Any record in the FORALL that causes an exception will have it's index put into the bulk exception array. In the bulk exception handler you can loop through the array and access the records that caused the error using the index into the plsqlTable and do any error logging you need to do.
       In your case if the error code is for a uniqe key violation you have found a duplicate record. The bulk exception array will have the plsql table index of the row that caused the error. You can index into the plsql table (see Step A above) to access the record and then log it, INSERT it into a duplicates table or whatever you want.
  

• Solution Center does not work under Windows 7 with Officejet Pro L7780

  Downloaded the latest version of the software for Windows 7 and the first issue was when you try to do an installation complete you get a fatal error at the 96 percent mark when she did the configuration. I looked on the web and found a lot of posts on the same problem. Then, I just uninstalled and made a gradual installation.

  This thread has resolved the problem installing the software that supports the HP Officejet Pro l7780 for use on Windows 7.

  The event viewer showed mistakes that network location for %APPDATA%\protector.exe is not found.

  Even if I couldn't run the original installation of solutioncenter.msi to work without errors in the log file, without making any changes, which has not completely solved the problem.

  Since solutioncenter, initially did not work, I decided to run solutioncenter.msi manually and look at the log file. See errors in the log file we made changes to the database with Orca solutioncenter.msi. It took us on a long road that does not initially sense that HP would put something out there that produced errors in the msi log file.

  I don't know how the setup.exe uses solutioncenter.msi?

  The changes that doesn't seem it to matter when you run the setup.exe file that is provided in the download.

  If I used the modified solutioncenter.msi or version orginal of it as downloaded from HP running setup.exe site had no importance regarding obtaining solutioncenter work in windows 7, canceled only changes in the solutioncenter log file errors.

  I had to make the following changes to the environment variables to get the full package to work, but what is strange is that I could replace the changeed solutioncenter.msi or the original solutioncenter.msi and run setup.exe, with the following environment changes didn't matter. The solution Center has worked in Windows 7 using one of the solutioncenter.exe and setup.exe.

  Apparently, setup.exe does not use the MSI directely. I think that HP responses suggested that in a previous thread.

  Add these entries (click new...) for the owner user variables and System variables:

  In the name box: APPDATA

  In the value box: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

   

  Run setup.exe and event viewer does not display % APPDATA % Scriptures and all work.

  You should be able to amplify it upward with scaleX/scaleY properties, although no doubt quality will suffer somewhat (but probably not significantly, for most people).

• Error opening database with DevAlphaC

  I have a database that I use for logging. It is created in c + c++ / Qt and working properly.

  On the page of logs (in qml) I use a simple GroupDataModel with a data source to display the contents of the database.

  The Z10 and AlphaA/B, it works, but gives warning of debugging on a connection that is duplicated (I have ignore, that I was not able to solve the problem).

  On the DevAlphaC however the database cannot be opened QML, and the name of connection in the error message seems strange.
