What is your locale.

Can change you to English of the United States, if they are not.

To change the country or region setting

  1. Open region and language by clicking on the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking clock, language and region, and then by clicking on the region and language.
  2. Click the location tab, select your location from the list, and then click OK.

In the Device Manager under CD/DVD-ROM drives, there is a subcategory of TSST corp CDDVDW SH - S223F ATA Device (I presume it's the name of my drive) and when I go on properties in that under device status it says

    Hello

19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack.

Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
    them before.

Original title: problems with ' Drive

Yesterday, Fix it Center has replaced the driver for my CD/DVD. It has worked perfectly for a few seconds and then 'frozen '.
After several attempts to restart it, I ended up doing a system restore, which (as you know) 'lost' the driver for it had "lead to new!

    Hello

Looks like the drive may be faulty, did you add that any CD or DVD of recent programs-
especially those that load at startup?

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are

  • Driver webcam, peripheral USB not recognized?

I have the MSI WIND U135. I use Windows XP and everytime I turn on my webcam, it comes up with the bubble yellow saying: USB device not recognized. In Device Manager, I usually have a scanner and camera tab, but I have now.  I don't know what to do. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello Megan, you can resolve this problem by updating the drivers...

Download each of these files and right-click on it and click on extract all. Then go to the folder and run the Setup file and follow the instructions.
Each of them, install in the order that they are listed below.

After installation, restart your PC, and it should work.
If it does not, then there is a hardware failure in an integrated device. If it is under warranty, you can get it checked by the manufacturer.
  • Vista Ultimate 64 - Driver scanner Canon 4400f not recognized/corrupted

I have a USB of Canon 4400F scanner that works fine with other computers (Vista laptop and a desktop Windows XP), but for some reason any drivers/registry for this device is messed up on my PC, and it will not (re) install correctly.
It worked perfectly for a long time (over a year), but do not use it for a while, after he is now stuck in the same unusable state, no matter what I do. I suppose that some day that something has caused this.

All started with Device Manager telling me that the scanner was disabled when I had a glance to see why the scanner did not work. So, I allowed it. Status changed and then "no drivers are installed for this device. Yet, in the tab drivers, drivers are listed (good version) and appear as it should (the driver dll files are still visible and correct).

    So here's what I've tried:

    (1) uninstall the device and drivers. Reset. Reinstall the drivers, then plug in the device. Status: disabled. Activation of gives the original problem no 'drivers '.

    (2) uninstall again, this time including the devices 'hidden' when he was in other USB ports. Searched the registry for all traces of the appliance, by product ID, code provider GUID, name of the manufacturer etc.. Deleted every file temp (windows General and specific user) and also the windows update "DataStore" and "Downloads" folder just to be safe.
Now, this method worked in the past for a U3 USB key that there was an identical error. This time? Restart, install the drivers, install device - FAIL. Even disabled error followed by 'pilots No. "

Drastic 3) measures - (2), but also uninstalled and reinstalled the USB drivers themselves for controllers and hubs. Rebooted and waited while each unique device USB driver has been installed from scratch (mouse, keyboard, etc.). Install scanner drivers and plugged into the scanner. Same end result - all USB works except the scanner.

I tried the above with both versions of the drivers from the Canon Website and the original driver CD.

Is there another location on the C: drive or in the registry that I might be missing? Again, this scanner works fine when I install it on other PCs that have never seen before, so I'm convinced it's my registry or files corrupted, hidden somewhere in C:\Windows\. All my other USB devices work perfectly.

Without having to reinstall Windows, is there a way to reset all USB and Windows thinks that he has never seen a single USB device before? As I said, the scanner works perfectly when I plug it into another PC - no need to install the drivers as Windows Update Gets the last and it works!

    System information:
    Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit
    4 GB OF RAM
    AMD Phenom 9950 CPU
    Lots of disk space

    Karena,

Thanks for your suggestion - but I managed to fix another way before I saw your post, so I have not been able to test your method.
I uninstalled SP2 (with the intention of doing a repair using my Vista SP1 DVD). However, after removing SP2, the scanner worked! Then I reinstalled SP2 and it still works. A little boring because we won't know what was arrested exactly-, but I guess that this method could have changed the location of the registry that you mentioned?

I bookmarked this thread for future use so, thank you again for answering.

  • 160 GB external hard drive of Gigastore is not recognized correctly

Hi, hope someone can help me!

I bought a 160 GB external drive Gigastore hard today, but the plug inside, the computer did not recognize it. In fact, nothing happened. I tried all the usual as control to see if it was in my computer and then right click my computer, manage, etc computer management, but again, she did not show. I tested it on another pc and still does not work. I'll put up the wires correctly, so this isn't the issue.

When I turn on the power, the hard drive light constantly flashes blue. I would have thought that will be that the hard drive has been slowed down, that he would stay on continuously without blinking. Could someone let me know if this blinking determines that the disk does not just and it is indeed tired?

    Phil

    Hello

It seems that it s not a laptop fault because the other laptop or PC can not recognize the external HARD drive.
Have you checked if some additional drivers or tools were shipped with this external HARD drive device?
If please connect the HARD drive and use the Add Hardware option

  • new drive HARD Seagate Barracuda not recognized in the BIOS

    Hello

The Inspiron 530 desktop computer BIOS does not recognize my new HARD drive. It's a Seagate Barracuda 500 GB (ST3500413AS). I try to reinstall Vista, but installation can't find a drive with 3.9 GB. Wrong type of drive in the BIOS found, I think that.

Tried several things, but no results: check the BIOS, but with automatic selection drive only to find a 4 GB (wrong type), updated the BIOS drive (now 1.0.18), tried several drivers with startup etc.

Think I need a good driver, but on the site Web of Seagate, they say that there is no firmware for this drive.

    can someone help me?

    THX, David

    Thanks for all the support.

It wasn't a problem with the SATA 3 or something like that, but the HARD drive was missing. There is no other choice. Come back with my HARD drive (and information) to the store and finally got a new. I hope that the other works :)

  • USB Flash Drive Digital Signature is not recognized

During the summer, I discovered that there is a huge trojan virus on my Vaio laptop.  I had to buy phone support and Sony helped me catch the virus from my computer.  However, now that I'm in College that I discovered that my laptop is unable to do the only thing I need to do - recognize my flash drive.

When I plug ANY flash drive into the USB port of no matter WHAT, he did not recognize.  I get this message: "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) »

When I try to update the driver software it says that it is up-to-date.  I tried the thing support page of this says Sony (https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31399/p/48903%2C49902%2C71535%2C71585/c/65%2C66/kw...) where you configure the Local Disk Manager to start automatically and I do not have a local disk on my computer management.

Is there a way to get back or get my USB key to work without the Disk Manager?  I really need this to get fixed!

Here is the info on my laptop if it helps:

    OS: Windows 7-64 bit

    Model: VPCEH3MFX

I haven't downloaded or modified software since they fixed my hard drive since the virus, I don't know if maybe the person who fixed it has removed this feature accidentally or something.

Thank you so much in advance!

    Hi kendall__bryant,

Please try to reinstall the usb drivers using these measures or these steps to solve the problem.

  • Portege R500 driver CD turns but not recognized

    Hello

I have a Portege R500 in 8 months and 3 months ago, CD drive disappeared from the Device Manager and despite fiddling with the registry file (don't remove the top filter, there was no lower filter) is still u/s.

I think the problem is a driver like when it starts it constantly tries to turn the cd before you go start. I use a dynadock to connect to my lan work.

    Any help gratefully received.

Have you tried another OS (for example, a live recording of ubuntu)? We know at least that it is a hardware or software problem...

    Hello

I tried to install this drive in my notebook 6000 SP, but the system will recognize and when to start the laptop I get always an error 'IDE #1. Can someone help me?

    Hello

As Joey says he s seems that the disc is not compatible due to the assignment of pins.
You should always check the parts if they are compatible before buying.
I think that this road is to master. In this case, BIOS have problem to recognize this part correctly because the HARD drive is also set to master.
In this case, you need a new. It of not possible o solve this problem another way :(

  • drive hard Seagate usm is not recognized by the computer.

Windows 8 does not recognize my portable hard drive Seagate USM when I insert into the computer Bay USM.  The computer is a new Lenovo K450 Windows 8.

    Thanks Ronnie,.

I contacted Lenovo on the K450 and they said that their computer would only recognize drives of 500 GB USM and mine are 1 TB.  I asked if he would support the discs from 1 to 2 to in the future and they said that it is not in their plans.  Meanwhile, my Seagate drives will connect via cable USB3 Lenove USB3 ports.
    Ken

I have a K450 and thought the slot of USM was in not recognizing my Seagate Backup more 1 TB drive as well.  Then I found another similar post elsewhere and the solution is to enter the upper part of the computer and push harder!  It feels as if it was there when it really is not completely.  My 1 TB works fine now.  No idea why someone said there is a limit of 500GB.
