  • updated which bios dc7700

The HP website lists 2 updates of BIOS for my dc7700 SFF XP pro computer. They are:

1-HP Compaq Business Desktop System BIOS (786E1 BIOS) (International)
2 - HP Compaq dc7700p Business Desktop System BIOS Intel vPro Technology (786E1 BIOS) (International

A big piece on the inside has Intel on it, but not Intel Pro. Does this mean I should choose No. 1.

In addition, 2 other choice is on the list:

3 - Firmware update for HP 786E BIOS families computers equipped processors Intel (International)
4 HP Compaq Business Desktop ME update Firmware and utilities (International)

What are doing?  What is ME Firmware?

    You are the very welcome.

With a Pentium processor, you use the update of BIOS not vPro (HP Compaq Business Desktop System BIOS (786E1 BIOS) (International).

I would certainly be Flash the BIOS using the F10 Flash system ROM you will see on the page of instructions when you first run the BIOS file.  Simply format a USB key with the FAT 32 file system and copy the contents of the file flash BACK in the USB.  Plug it into the PC, turn on the faucet of the F10 key to enter the BIOS and select the menu system flash rom and follow the instructions on the screen.

Just keyboard, mouse and monitor connected when you Flash the BIOS (other than the drive flash usb of course).

  • HP compaq dc7700 minitowers: Microcode error: no evolutionary device drivers/no pass

I upgraded my HP compaq dc7700 Intel e6400 CPU (2.13 ghz, 1066 MHz front side bus) to the intel e6700 (3.2 ghz, 1066 MHz front side bus) and did a clean install of Windows 10 pro at first boot. I noticed that it gave an error, namely 1801: firmware does not support this CPU or something. I pressed f1 to continue installing Windows, my plan was to install the firmware update later. After Windows has started, I created a bootable USB to install the firmware of the HP drivers and software section. But when I tried to install the firmware update, it didn't work! I just typed in flashbin.exe, as shown in various posts on this forum. It gave this error: "error!" There is no valid drivers on media or three are no evolutionary device in this system. »
So I tried som other options at the start of the installation, three was something like: f8 to activate the increased processor, which basically is what I needed. But when trying to install flashbin.exe, he gave the same exact error, although I didn't have any options before I could type. See all: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q4eo8qqp49gohc9/IMG_20160227_153036.jpg?dl=0 (without pressing f8)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xw60pryzq30ta4q/IMG_20160227_155457.jpg?DL=0 (with pressing f8, I selected Yes everywhere)

Do I need additional drivers? GPU, mouse, headset, everything worked without having to download anything extra!

If you were able to get to a command prompt and had copied the contents of the firmware flash folder on the drive back, so you could get to a command prompt and run flashbin.exe, then it shouldn't matter.

I helped that another Member of the forum for 3 days to finally get her to work on his dc5700 E7200 (uses the same firmware as the 7700 update).

  • Problems of updating HP dc7700 SFF NIC driver

    Hi all!

I have a HP dc7700 SFF desktop I have been working to rebuild. I restored it to out of State of the box with the built-in HP restore partition, put the OS Win XP Pro SP2. The Integrated NIC is a processor Intel 82566 DM. The default driver is version 9.4.21.0 (as dated 19/07/2006) and works very well at speeds of 1 GB. The problem is that when I upgrade the driver to version 9.15.17.0 (dated as of 07/03/2012) using the latest ProWin32.exe installer available on the Intel site, the NETWORK adapter will connect is no longer at a speed of 1 Gb and will connect to 100 MB. I know that the machine has network connectivity and seems to be very well until I do the update of the NETWORK adapter driver. Starting after the rendering of the office, State system for the network connection status bar icon indicates that it is connected to 1 GB for a moment, then it shows as disconnected, then reconnected shows, but only 100 MB. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the package of pilot several times with no luck. I also tried the official HP package from the downloads dc7700 (SP51788) page and that brought no result. I can restore the r in car to the 2006 version and the NETWORK card will reconnect at a speed of 1 Gb again.

I'm thinking / hoping I can't be the only person who is having this same problem? Any help would be tremendously appreciated. If I can provide any additional information, please let me know. Thank you!

Why not just use the driver of 2006 if it works well? Newer isn't always better, especially when it comes to drivers.

    Sorry, that didn't work...

I have another method to try to install the driver.

If you have not deleted the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file it, or run the file again and close out of all windows error.

This is for Vista, W7, W8/8.1...

Go to Device Manager and click on the PCI Simple Comms controller who need a driver.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select travel it my computer for software driver and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34743. Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

  • Faulty video card?

Had a SFF dc7700p and wanted to spice up the graphics, so I bought a Radeon HD6450 as I've seen other people on the Internet with this combo. But now, I'm not sure.

The edge graphics work with my Dell monitor connected via the VGA port. But if I insert this card the PC appears to start as usual. The lamp on the DVD flashes, fans turn on. No beeps or LEDs red. However, I don't seem to get an image on the edge VGA, VGA, DVI, or HDMI cards. And if remove the card I can use once more integrated VGA.

So, did I miss something or I would return the faulty card?

    You are the very welcome.

I installed a video once card and got the same results as you did (no beeps).

The card was not faulty, because he worked in another PC but my HP d530 didn't like it at all.

Have you seen my edited post?

The only other thing I can think you can try before returning the card is to uninstall the graphics driver/card integrated in the Device Manager.

Do not restart. Shut down the PC and install the new card.

Also if you have a very old BIOS installed, you can update because the card is PCie 2.1 and sometimes does not work on old maps.

I don't know what version the dc7700 PCIe Board. If it is 1.1, the card should work.

I tested a Radeon HD 6570 in a CMT dc7600 with the latest version of the BIOS installed and it works beautifully.

I don't know if this would have worked with an update of the BIOS more old or not.

  • HP DC7700p Bios Update Question

    Hello

I recently bought an old DC 7700p but I can't figure out what bios to use updated.

The specifications of the system are:

    Core 2 Duo E6400

512 MB Ram (which I upgraded to 2 GB)

    80 GB HARD drive

    GMA 3000 onboard

And there seemed to be a Quadro NVS 280 in the PCI slot and a NVS 285 in the PCI-E slot I can't use yet, as I do not have a DMS-59 adapter

The problem im having is that in the description of the product this product Intel Vpro technology however since the seller was selling in bulk, I don't know if all of the pc were infact vpro that my pc doesn't have a vpro on that sticker I can't find something to do with vpro technology. Is there a way I can confirm if I vpro, so I can determine whether Flash Bios Update for PCs with Vpro or those without it?

The reason why I want to update the bios is because until I get my cable Adpater for the gpu, I want to use the vga integrated however I could get only this works if I physically unplug the motherboard cards and I found no option for this in the bios. Currently I have BIOS version 786E1 v1.09, who seems to be old and hoped that a more recent bios will be options I'm looking for.

Also my SKU number is ET090AV if its any help

    You are the very welcome.

I would invest in a little money in a dedicated video card with dvi/vga/hdmi, if you want to connect the PC to a TV if you get HD video and sound via a HDMI cable.

If you connect the intel 3000 video vga tv-out port, you will get no sound and analog video.

Add it on the map that you deleted would probably not be better for this - and once again, no sound.

Here is a link to a card fanless for video nice, quiet, at a decent price.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814102933

One thing to know when you install a video card with HDMI on an older HP business desktop as a dc7700.

After installing the card, your integrated audio system will be very probably disabled. This is because there is a HDMI audio chip on the circuit of graphics card.

A dc7700 is too old for the BIOS to make the difference between whether or not you have also added a new sound card, so it disables the onboard sound and the integrated video.

Currently you will not oboard audio setting in BIOS.

But after I installed a video card with HDMI output, you will.

After installing the drivers for the restart of the video card, go into the BIOS menu advanced settings and find the onboard audio setting.

It will be set to Disabled.  Change the active setting. Save the setting here and even once, when you go out.

After you restart, you will have the back of Board.

When you connect an HDMI cable to the TV, you should have audio and video to the TV via the HDMI cable.

You may need to select the HDMI sound in Control Panel > article to change the setting of the HDMI to the TV speakers.

This part, I do not know because I have never connected a TV to my PC.

  • Weird memory DC770 USDT problem

    Second post here

I recently acquired a nice as a second machine DC7700 USDT I like the compact and quiet design. It happened with 1536 MB of ram, it's 3 x 512 sticks.

I have a few more memory, I made sure that I got the good looking several .pdf here and details suggest this model will support 3 GB as it has only 3 slots in any case.

The "problem" here is that you can install memory on the slot 1 and 3 not 2. The memory that I use is marked nine Kingston KVR800D2N6 / 1 G, 1 GB PC2-6400 CL6 240 Pin Dimm.

If you just install a single stick of 1 GB sound fine. If you install a stick through the two slots 1 and 3, so a total of 2 GB of its new fine.

If you install all three sticks or install a stick in slots 1 and 2 lights just with no display (hard drive and fans spin) and sits there or not has more generally five beep and five flashes which indicates a memory problem.

It will not tolerate a stick in slot 2, set apart from the original of 512. I have not yet tried a 512 in there with a 1 GB 1 and 3.

I thought I had a bad stick then swapped them, but they are fine. I also took the new memory to a friends and him had to test them, they are very good.

Not quite sure that the cause is here, as they seem to be compatible and it works very well with both of them as long as you do not fill the slot 2.

I updated the Bios of v01.06 to v01.15, I guess that is the most recent.

    Any ideas please?

    Andy

    Hello:

I read all the documentation on installing memory in your dc7700 USDT. There is no reason that he should not run with chips 3 x 1 GB memory support.

What I would do if I were you, is to see if your friend will let you install memory in your PC and see if it works. If your PC does not start with all 3 locations equipped with 1 GB of RAM chips, I say that your motherboard has a problem.

Here is the link to the reference guide of the material for your PC. Unless I'm missing something, 3 GB should work without any magic.

  • DC7700 Small Form Factor: BIOS of HP DC7700 SFF

I have a DC7700 sff desktop that was running Windows 10 with a glitch. With each operating system installed (LInux or Windows), I saw an error memory 4 intermittent beep. I have reinstalled the memory, replaced the modules, and nothing seemed to help. Food seems to be good and I was able to use the machine with two additional hard drives attached to another hard drive cloning.

To try to solve the problem, I tried to upgrade to version 3.05 using the method of updating the F10 BIOS setup menu. The system has reached 70% and then didn't update. Now, it does not start. I found a method online for the resettlement of the BIOS, but all forums seem to have old non-working links to the updates to the BIOS. The description of the BIOS flashing utility indicates that it is to change the splash screen. Can someone tell me please to the correct location for the latter. BIN files? Thank you!

    Hello:

4 beeps is a power supply issue.  5 beeps is a memory problem.

Business support pages are missing a lot of pilots.  HP is aware of the problem, but I don't know how long it's going to be to fix it.

Given that your BIOS is v1.01, you need to follow the progression of xx 1.  3.05 was for vPro models this is why flash BIOS probably did not work.

I have compressed upwards and attached files you need an old thread that I have helped someone else with below.

It will bring your BIOS to v1.16, who was the final version.
