Dead power Pavilion m9000t button

At the top of this desktop computer power button turns more on the machine. When the power button is pressed, it lights. There is no sound of 'click '.

Nothing wrong with the power supply; a small green light at the back of the box is on.

Y at - it no problem history with this switch, or is - this unique?

So no idea what to do, any advice on how to open the box would be useful. Online video that shows how does not appear on the laptop that I use to send this email.

Thanks for any advice you might have.

Thank you once again. Very useful. I hope that I will find that it is just the power supply.

Hope you get your job. I found HP sustainable vey machines - two at home and one at work more than awhile back where they underwent intensive and refused to fail. Of course, those who have been made years; don't know about quality of today.

  • Dead power supply HP Pavilion Slimline of s3750t

Dead bought a HP Paviliton Slimline s3750t in February - feeding six weeks later. No lights, no fan, nothing. Spent an hour in line with the HP chat support, who promised to send a replacement within 3-4 business days. Nothing happened, so now I'm on the phone with HP support who spent 20 minutes until now trying to see if there is any record. What is your experience with HP support and the quality of this product. So far, I'm very underwhelmed.

Slimline = BBQ hot box.  Heat is the number one killer of electronics (you don't raise the voltage on board HP).  I saw a certain PSU dead in this forum.  Replacement of power supply cannot last very long if subjected to the same environment.  It's too late to return the PC to get a refund, but you can always migrate electronics to a bigger case and with better ventilation (Antec 300).  The largest case will also allow you to use a more powerful/silent power.  The power supply is around $30 - $40 after rebate.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 button walk / stop does not

Hi, I recently had my Hp Pavilion dv7-1245dx Entertainment Notebook (to the best of my knowledge bc, I can't look it up in my product number) fixed some viruses and malware that caused random stops and freezes. My laptop worked fine after that the fix so I installed the latest updates to better protect my laptop but when I left and my laptop came into fashion 'sleep' it would not respond and the screen was black. I stopped using the power button and it turned back. The computer does not start and the flash caps lock button three times which means a problem of memory, according to HP support, that happened before I got my laptop fixed. Later, I unplugged the AC adapter and moved my laptop but when I tried to put it on the power button does not respond and I can't do anything with my laptop. Both recommended options for the issue of cap locks and the power button is to go inside my laptop and tinkering with the battery and the memory module. I'm very hesitant to do so for fear of further harm to my laptop. I am on Windows 7 and advice on what I should do would be greatly appreciated. (will give you more information if necessary)

    With respect,

    ACertainGuy

Your notebokdoes have removable covers for the module of memory in the bottom of the laptop. It's just as shown in the document I linked.

You will need to buy a Jewelers screwdriver set.  A jewellers Phillips scredriver is necessary.

Here is a link to a documentthat explains the flashing LED error codes and what they mean.

The only other option, if you do not have enough confidence to do it yourself, is to take your laptop in a shop that will do it for you.

  • Challenge with a power lose (rickety) button

According to the name of the topic, my Defy, just a couple of weeks or older, a power button that flickers a bit if shook. Anyone else facing this problem? A 30 days replacement warranty in the store that I bought it so I was intending to replace it with a new one if this problem compromises the resistance to water of the phone... it will be... should I? Thanks in advance.

I took my defy outside a couple of times :-) The button is just a piece of plastic that even if remove you it completely will not hurt resistance to water

  • W520 Trackpoint dead, pad and lower buttons OK - reinstalled Driver/utility

    All,

TrackPoint stopped any reaction and the three buttons "higher" in the space bar don't work. Tab in the configuration of mouse UltraNav Synaptics of Trackpoint pane is greyed out. I reinstalled the driver and "Utility" for UltraNav. The search here and on the web--until now no specific fix.

I don't know what caused this, but I think that I tried to install a software to enlarge the area under the cursor just now because I had to give a demo of the software in a large room. Well, I remember it is considering, but I don't remember if I ran in fact anything. And I used the machine a lot since then and I can't imagine that I have not tried to navigate dialogs, Explorer, etc., without using the trackpoint.

So I think it's a very recent change.

Win7 Pro 64-bit. I am the sole owner. TrackPoint is "enabled" in the BIOS.

    Ideas or suggestions appreciated.

    jonathan7007

Continuing to go with bad keyboard (or, possibly, the keyboard cable). Take off the keyboard, and see if the cable is damaged or worn out?

In addition, stuck TrackPoint mouse buttons will break the touchpad and buttons.

  • Pavilion m9000t - slow, locked up in response on the internet

I have a Pavillion m9000t bought in October 2007.  Over the last few months, the system became horribly slow when I'm wandering around the internet.  When I click on a site to visit the system usually goes to a blank screen when the bar blue low left creepy little slowly (very slowly) in its box.  Sometimes the site is actually achieved, but more often the note says 'done' but still white screen. Close this window brings back me to the previous window.  The system responds very well to the local level tasks such as word processing, calculation and Photoshop sheets.  I ran each diagnostic that I can find, including defragmentation and various analyses.  I use Norton Security software and have spent at least three hours on the phone with their technicians while they looked for a virus or something else, and they could find nothing.  I used the HP Windows Vista Hardware Diagnostic tools, test each part of the system, and no problems have emerged.  I'm puzzled.

The new AT & T modem has arrived this afternoon, and the problem is solved!  Thank you very much for your help.

  • Inspiron 660, presumed dead power

    Hello

Have a desktop Dell 660 Inspiron which will suddenly be powerless rained on.  I suspect that food has hit the fritz.  Need to get a replacement as soon as POSSIBLE, but do not know what do need it use a standard PS (I can get the WorstBuy or other office store) or a propietery model?  This is the model stock that came with the machine 2.5 years ago.

    Thank you.

PC need several tracks to have Minimum Spec to work

In the case of the EVGA the 5v and 3.3V combined is LOWER at 150 w.  If all you need, it was a Honking things 450W power supply 12v would be different.  You must choose the SPECIFICATION, not the price of the power supply if expect you it to work.

    http://www.EVGA.com/products/product.aspx?PN=100-W1-0500-KR

    Power supply plug

    Input AC 100-240 VAC, 8 a, 50-60 Hz

    1306 480W 452 3.6W
    Total 500W @ 40 C +

DELL 305 w and 525W guaranteed power supply 150W on Rails 3.3V and 5v. But also again rates the 5VSB at 20W. Reference Dell requires Beefy 3.3V and 5v and 5vsb rail, then the 12v.  The EVGA has low 3.3V and 5v 5vsb rail and puts all the power in the 480W with 20W 12v rail left for anything else AND his 80 percent effective for its not really output 500W.

    That's why I recommend an EPS12v Corsair CS750M

  • Dell studio xps mt135 dead, no fans, no brief power LED blinking when press button

Dell studio xps mt135 dead, no fans, only brief flashing of LED power when the button pressed.

I'll have to open it - thought I would like to reset the BIOS settings, see if all 6 GB of RAM work.  I recently made a change to the registry to activate the disk cache system.  Windows 7 is installed.

I don't think that this has nothing to do with the other question, that I asked audio problems.

If you can not help me with this problem, please suggest a hardware problem diagnosis forum.

  • Power button on Satellite A300 turn computer automatically.

    Hello.

I recently removed the carcass on my Toshiba Satellite A300 and when I put back it together I have a problem with the power being real button delicate in some cases, turn off the PC itself.

When I start the PC or put in mode "sleep" by pressing the power button sometimes all I have to do is touch the button and the PC turns or sleeping and strangely sometimes the button work normally by pressing it down until it snaps.

I couldn't find the problem, I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be and how could I solve this problem?

    > I recently removed the carcass on my Toshiba Satellite A300 and when I put back it together I have a problem with the power being real button delicate in some cases, turn off the PC itself.

It seems you damaged or done something wrong during the disassembly procedure may be a connection problem?
I guess the power button has worked correctly until you have removed the case and disassembled the laptop. Right?
