Delays of IMAP of Gmail being continuous blackBerry Smartphones.

I see others report a similar problem, new at the mine for two weeks.

But I saw no new notes on this issue in the last two days, so I'll weigh here. I continue to have delays between when a message is received through Gmail, and when it is pushed to my 8330. This is a new issue, only about two weeks, and I made no changes to the my settings IMAP on Gmail or my connection on the BIS system settings.

I'm on Verizon.

Some examples from today:

Message from Gmail 19:57, Blackberry message at 20:05

Gmail message 16:59, Blackberry message 17:01

Message from Gmail 15:54, Blackberry message 16:08

Message from Gmail 13:51, Blackberry message 13:54

It is therefore very inconsistent as to the length of the delay and the time of day. (I read the other posts where people see different deadlines at different times.)

Before last week, I didn't have all these delays.

That's my story. Help, please?

I suggest that you do in the following order:

  • Delete your Gmail account BIS, the next step.
  • Then, delete the Service on your BlackBerry books (Options > Advanced > Servcie books).
  • Restart your BlackBerry on, battery pull.
  • Then, add the gmail account in your BIS...
  • You should see the new activation messages.
  • If this isn't the case, perform any other software on the device.

In a related note, I've observed recently more than six weeks, a time ultra slow (from 15 minutes to 60 minutes to four hours) on my private e-mail hosted by IMAP GoDaddy servers, and it has since been corrected with climbing and GoDaddy resetting counters on my account.

So, if you see not a turnaround soon (maybe after trying the above), I would certainly call Verison and get business the esclated to RIM. Good luck.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Of what you say, I read that you had BES enabled on your BB, you have separated from the company/what BES now, but your BB was not properly cleaned of it's political, that continues to limit the things. To remedy this, you perform a specific wiping of your BB as follows:

    1. First of all, review the link of my auto-sig about backups... this process will completely clean your BB and you have to start over.
    2. Once ready, follow this KB to clean your BB of the it policy:
      • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
    3. When / if you restore, DO NOT do a full restore, restore only those databases that are essential, especially to avoid those who have something to do with the company, BES, political, etc.. If you fail at this stage and all restore, you simply put it on your BB policy and be right where you started.

    Good luck!

  • Can operate without BIS - in the universe of GMail and app blackBerry smartphones?

    Hello!

I got a BB Curve 3 g 9300 for a week; I'm in England, and I have as well as a T-Mobile contract, Phones4U store in London.  Before agreeing to buy the BB and the contract, I went through a whole bunch of things that I wanted to be able to do with the seller and received assurances that they were all possible without additional cost beyond the contract.

Now, the thing is that this contract includes unlimited T-Mobile internet, but does not include the T-Mobile "Blackberry Booster" - which I think is the terminology of T-Mobile for the BIS.

After checking with a nice lady to T-Mobile, I didn't expected to be a problem, because she said that the Blackberry Booster is necessary for e-mail system push Blackberry and Blackberry Messenger, neither of which I want.

Since then, however, I had regular problems with the GMail application (saying "this application requires a working data connection") and BB App World (with a similar message of not being able to connect to the server).  This is not the case all the time - sometimes both work very well.  But they do not (as described) approximately 40% of the time, and of course, it is enough to say that I can't rely on them.

So I just called T-Mobile again and this time I was told this was caused by not only not the Blackberry Booster.  The person I spoke claimed that Blackberry power to prevent my apps to work (as I described) and that they periodically scan combined BB and disconnect people like me who are not pay for Booster/BIS.

So now I wonder if it's really true and - in other words - that it's effectively impossible to use a BB correctly without the Booster/BIS.  If you are sure that you know about it, just reply to tide me over!

I should add that you can find out something about the GMail problem anywhere on the web, many different solutions proposed.  But most of the success is old, and my impression is that none of the solutions are final.  I also tried most of the suggestions, and they have not helped.  (An important is only that I have not yet tried redownloading books service, because I do not understand, and because it sounds like it is bound to have BIS.)

Thank you very much in advance for any help you can offer!

    Neil

    Hi there, Neil.

That is right.  To use BlackBerry App World and other applications like GMail, Facebook, and Twitter, you need a BlackBerry data package and access to BIS.  Without access BIS, these applications work properly, even if you access GMail online via your browser and you can manually download the applications through your computer.

    I hope this info helps!

  • Strange Gmail question of blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

I have probably inadvertently bud tweaks but I just started to feel something strange with my gmail account.

On my phone, I have a few email accounts settings, one of which is my gmail account.

Everything was working properly so far.

OK, when I send an email from my gmail account if my mail client on my PC or via gmail on the Web page, the email is sent to the recipient but I get a copy sent to my phone as a text Message.

I know that it is through an SMS because I have a configuration of your different for them.

This only happens with a gmail account, I don't get any problems with my other accounts.

    Any ideas?

Check this thread and look at my messages as we aer trying to find a solution for this:

  • Helmet of being odd blackBerry Smartphones

I tried to plug in headphones Skullcandy FMJ in my Pearl Flip and she had the right channel sound. However, when he plugged his to halfway comes from two channels but with a steep slope buzz.

(The Skullcandy Full Metal jackets are the standard, not the iPhone/Blackberry compatible with the microphone online.)

Someone had that happen with other headphones?

I tried battery pull without success.

Second series of helmet later and same question... My handsfree stereo Blackberry game is at home so I can't test all the way to my dorm.

I also cleaned up the output port so I don't think that should be a problem either.

Help, please! I miss using my Blackberry as a music player!

The intuition that a few people had on PinStack is that the helmet was probably damaged and they are right...

I managed to swap with my provider to another and the new works very well!

  • BlackBerry smartphones 5 to 15 minutes behind on all emails received via Exchange using BIS.

My 9700 receives an email from my exchange using OWA server, but there is a huge gap in the delivery time. When I had used OWA on my iPhone it is instantaneous and rivaled my Boss BlackBerry running on the company. I'm trying to understand why this delay exists and why reconcile does nothing.

My gmail account which is also configured through BIS works fine, email delivery as they are received.

    Hello!

Some configurations of GMail use push-IMAP/pseudo and can thus have (nearly) instant delivery. OWA is I think strictly traction, which is regulated at 15 minute intervals within BIS. Therefore, it may seem to be WAD - works as expected.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not receiving all emails

I receive only a few e-mails from my BB 9700 to my hotmail account, if I go online and log into my hotmail it is unopened emails that have not disappeared from my BB... anyone know why?

    Hello

There are a few possible reasons... of what you say, it seems that you use hotmail WebMail interface from your computer (as opposed to Outlook or some other desktop e-mail application, which, if used might complicate things), these KBs may apply to your situation:

    • KB13374 Delay in delivery of email to the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB15747 E-mail message delivery is delayed due to a Windows Live Hotmail account on the BlackBerry smartphone

I also suggest that the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... ( Please wait for this before moving on to the next step) :

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Gmail IMAP is not really IMAP

Just create an account Gmail Gmail specifications. Everything seems to work in the direction of the BB to Gmail, such as messages deleted on BB are deleted on the Gmail server and status message reading. But it does not work the other way. • BlackBerry Smartphones IMAP for GMail unavailable through Config BIS

    Hello

I'm trying to configure my BB Curve (Verizon) use IMAP of Gmail via BIS email setup site. I read the instructions & scanned through the forum, but could not find an answer.

In accordance with the instructions, on the BIS website, I'm supposed to check the box "I'll give you the settings to add this email account", so that I can specify the address of mailserver IMAP.gmail.com, however, this option is not available when I edit or I have add the email account.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Try this and it will work: instead of your gmail address em enter [email protected] and some pw. This will faill and take you to the screen where you am I'll give you setiings, so this is my work email, then you enter correct gmail address in the user name and email and IMAP.gmail.com field for server and it will work.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones E-mails from gmail is not on Blackberry

Because I had problems with my other email account, I recently "moved" my correspondence email business to my gmail account, I had rather used as a backup before. I had both my accounts put in place on my blackberry and I remember them both increased and works well, but I cannot say with certainty that I have rarely received emails on gmail.

The problems I have now (I had also, at the same time re - configure my blackberry, but everything should be ok now) is that the gmail account is not working properly after the installation. At first, it seemed to work pretty well, but now it's extremely erratic, at best, with a few emails that crosses and their reception by the blackberry, not at all and if yes with a delay of up to a few days (!).
This makes the combination of my now main mail to gmail account and my blackberry on which I rely heavily for communication when I'm out of the House completely unusable.

I have heard and read (even if for the most part in internet posts that are a few years old) it seems to be a problem running with gmail and blackberry accounts. Is - this irreparable?

    Is there a solution?

If all else fails, use a new account (new) would be the only alternative left - which would be a messaging provider that matches 100% with the blackberry e-mail program?

    Thank you very much!

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    2) Remove and return Service books

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts.

In addition, with GMail, you must be sure to have a good setting inside GMail. Via PC/browser, you control what GMail is facing the internet for your account (POP, IMAP, or both). I always recommend that you turn OFF POP and turn on IMAP in Gmail. Then set up fresh for your BB and you will have the 'best' available (IMHO) settings for GMail.

Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support. What you describe certainly shouldn't happen on a regular basis (even if we must all accept the intermittent nature of everything on the internet).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry not syncing with Gmail

My Blackberry Bold 9900 stopped sync with Gmail. I only synchronize e-mail, contacts, or calendar. I mainly use Gmail site on my PC to read and delete emails. I have more than 70 unread e-mails on my Blackberry that were already deleted from the Gmail Web site. The option 'balance' has no effect. I can receive new Gmail on Blackberry messages, but if I have to 'Mark as read' or 'Clear' an email actions does not sync with the Gmail Web site. The same is true if I 'Mark as read' or 'Delete' an email on Gmail Web site. The actions are not synchronized with the Blackberry. I have 2 Android devices and a Windows Phone that syncs with Gmail without a problem. I just have the problem on my Blackberry.

    My device information:

    BlackBerry Bold 9900

    7.1 bundle 2435 (v7.1.0.862, platform 5.1.0.662)

    Reconciliation of BlackBerry e-mail settings:

    Delete on: mailbox & Pocket

    Wireless reconcile: checked

    On conflicts: mailbox WINS

    Gmail settings:

Inbox, and garbage are included in IMAP feeds

Also, I tried to delete Gmail from Blackberry account. When I did he told me he would remove all Gmail messages from the phone but it moved all the Gmail unread messages in my main mailbox. (I keep Gmail and Exchange separate emails on my Blackberry). It is also impossible to select multiple messages at the same time to remove if they are not in a consecutive order.

  • Two-way sync with Google Apps Gmail/Verizon blackBerry smartphones does not

To navigate on this forum, I see the two-way synchronization of read/delete messages with Gmail should work since early May. However, I was never able to get the two-way synchronization works successfully on my BlackBerry. (I have a Storm 9530 with Verizon, and I use BIS with Google Apps Gmail on my own domain name.)

Several times over the last couple months, I've tried different combinations of: deleting my account Gmail from BIS and Add again a few hours later. Reset my device; return service directories; ensuring that all my BIS and parameters in the reconciliation of the enamel on my device are in order. But I read in Gmail messages continue to remain not read on my BB has marked more than a day later.

Notably, sent messages to Gmail appear on my BlackBerry and have since early May. Contacts sync also works as expected. However, no other aspect of the two-way sync seems to work. Is there anything I can try to make it work?

Postini disabling and modify records MX for ASPMX. L.GOOGLE.COM. et al., then remove and re - integrate my bis account has indeed fixed my problem. Apparently parts of the BIS use MX one records field to determine whether to use Gmail or IMAP ordinary. That's why reconciliation features for Gmail (and some of the features of the plugin improved too, Gmail it looks to) are not available if your Google Apps domain uses the Postini Services.

Fortunately, I don't require Postini on my domain (because it is just my private domain, I really useless company features;) I allowed him only because that's where ), so that this action has resolved the problem for me. Although this bug could end up biting small businesses that use Google Apps with Postini and want to use BIS; If all goes well it will be fixed in a future BIS release.

There was a power outage BIS affecting overnight delivery capabilities in the United States carrier BB email. It is reported to start to clear up, but we cannot expect big delays today so that queues them clearly.
