Designjet T7100 roll cut

Hello

Does anyone know if and how this tracer can be set to auto-trim the roll when a new roll is loaded? On older models, this has always been automatic, now you have to sit there and wait for the plotter complete the configuration of the new roll and then press the set button.

Thank you!

Hello

Unfortunately, look like, there is no option for this.

  • HP Designjet T7100: Designjet T7100 continuous long print document

My plotter is on the local network and works very well.  I have a PDF file that is much larger (longer) that these are great.  Due to the large amount of information on the layout, the police is very low.  This means I have to print large drawing that I can do. If the drawing prints to the maximum width of paper of the plotter scale is sufficient (font is readable).  The print dialog allows to break the document into separate poster sized pieces, but I want to print the whole thing on a piece of paper continuous time.  It's theoretically possible, but I need to figure out the correct settings.  Anyone has experience with this, and you can post the appropriate settings?

    @Douglas_Phelps

I don't have any experience with your printer model, however the User Guidesays that you can create a custom for your printer paper size and that would be useful.  See Chapter 9, Page 80

    A few general ideas

Because you cannot create a larger custom paper size that the driver can handle, you can create your custom paper size to be longer than it is wide, and then perhaps to print the document in the landscape, which actually has the orientation of 90 degrees.  Note: Depending on your printer software, you may need to log outgoing/incoming or restart the computer to see the new paper size in your list.

You can try to open the PDF file in Adobe Reader MS> file > Printe > print preview (open)

Depending on your printer driver software, you can maybe open properties and fnd the paper size option.  The custom paper size should be listed.

Another option of interest (in print preview mode) > under sizing Page and handling > Poster

If the poster is not useful in this context, or if the paper size is elusive (assuming that you did create a model appropriate to the custom made size, try selecting "source of paper to choose depending on the size of Page PDF.  NOTE: By selecting poster appears to eliminate / reduce to zero the possibility to choose paper...

Also on the homepage of the print preview > option to change orientation

Now, I don't know if this will actually work - I have a OfficeJet Pro 8630; It does not print the wonderful, long, rolls of paper.  The smile.  It may be a few minutes of your time to play with the settings.

There may be information on what you need to be mentioned the User Guide - it is quite broad - or there may be something useful in another manual from those that are available to the Web site of your printer Support pages.

I have problem with Designjet 111 roll. I reinstalled the driver delivered with CD, and the most recent Web site and the effect is always the same. When I enter the Properties window, I see this:

There is no chance to put anything. How can I solve this?

    Hello

The System Maintenance Utility will not be related to a problem with the printer driver.

Have you deleted the driver as explained on the following doc?

  • DesignJet T2530: T2530 selection automatic Roll Correct

We recently bought a DesignJet T2530 to replace our old Gestetner requiring parts that are no longer available. We've had for about a month now and we had questions make him print the good roll all the time. We have a wide roll 36 '' loaded roll of 1 and a 30 "wide roll to roll 2. When printing the drawings AutoCAD or a PDF Adobe, 24 "x 36" designs would be to print in portrait mode (24"wide) to 30' wide roll instead of landscape (36" wide) to 36"wide roll." Also, 30 "x 42" designs would be automatic selection of portrait print (30' wide) for the 36"wide roll instead of 30" roll. " We called our service contract provider and they came out, looked through a bunch of settings and finish the download complete driver with PS drivers and HPGL2, set a custom. PC3 for AutoCAD file to force the printer to print 24 "x 36" designs on the 36' roll after we say from the printer, and everything has worked for a few days. " Service came out again, changed a few extra settings in the printer properties, ended up needing to replace the touch screen because it was just bad out of the box, and again once it worked fine for a few days. More recently this week, it started printing the 30 designs "x 42" 42"wide on the 36" "roll, cut 3" on each side of the drawing. " Service came out yesterday again, was here for about an hour, has insisted that it is absolutely not the machine and it must be a problem with AutoCAD and Adobe (which seems strange since it has the same problems of each program), tried a reset of the printer without result and basically said it's just not to the automatic selection the right to ride , so we will have to change the settings in the properties of each time that we print something. Then, after the left, custom. PC3 file, put it in place before (as previously mentioned) has stopped working properly and the 24 "x 36" drawings started printing out on the 30' wide roll again. " As it is now, when I print a drawing, I have to go into the properties of the printer in the print window, select the correct size paper, select the correct role and select the correct orientation so that it can print correctly. I put just customized. The PC3 in AutoCAD files for it so I do not always go through this when printing from AutoCAD, but I must still manually change all these settings for each picture I print from Adobe and I don't know if these custom. PC3 settings will decide to stop working again like last time.

Someone else has had this problem on this model printer and, if so, have you found a solution so he can get the correct width for automatic selection?

    Hello

Go to the printer Embedded Web Server and select the option use the exact width of the roll.

Also, make sure that the drawing was generated landscape as the application will replace all the settings on the driver and the printer.

  • Designjet 111 (nominal): Designjet 111 / Windows 10 / instead of pointing it prints to the prn file

    Hello

I use Windows 10 and Designjet 111 (roll). I already downloaded the driver and everything seemed OK, but after printing the confirmation of the window, rather than send the drawing to the plotter, the next window opens to save the drawing as a .prn file. The button "save to file" in the window "Advanced" is clear.

He had no problem with printing on Windows 7.

    See you soon

    OK, I solved the problem.

In the printer properties / ports window 'Print to file' port has been marked. I just changed to the USB port.

  • T790 Designjet: How to run roll print of unknown length?

I was sent a MS Visio file today. The file is a flowchart sales. I tried to print on a sheet of size D (24 "x 36"). Text is too small to read and size cutting a part of the chart. I need to know how to configure the printer to allow this flowchart to print 24 "wide roll entirely. There will be some trial and error to determine what size I need to print in order to read the text.

    Hello

Try to save the file as a PDF and print from Adobe.

Or. Create costume paper formats and look at the preview in Visio until u get the correct size.

There is also a preview before printing in the printer driver. Use it so u don't waste paper or ink.

  • HP designJet 130nr: Spotlight on roller automatic power media must not enter.

    Hello

I recently bought a HP designjet 130nr used large format, and I noticed that the lights on the Auto Roll power media does not illuminate after I turn on the printer.

    Can someone please?

The tracer feeds on?  If that's the case then you may have a problem with the drive roller.  If you remove the roll and look down inside you'll see there's a torx screw that mounts to the part of the feed roller who has the power connector.  If you remove the screws (there may be two) and then remove the part you will see there are about 3 or 4 contacts mating when the part is being challenged.  Make sure that none of these contacts are irrelevant.  If the unit power ot on, then remove the parallel cable and the cable to the socket on the printer and plug the unit directly into the outlet. The unit now power on.  Keep in mind with this model when you plug in the cable that the light will Flash several times in front of the screen and the time of glass can turns on but then turns off.  When it fires on the front power button is pressed to turn on the machine.  If the light on the front does not blink a few times you may have a power supply problem.

  • Printing on roll paper using hp designjet t520

    Hello

    I bought a t520 24 "hp designjet printer that can print on a 24" or 600mm roll.

The problem I have is that I can only select format A1 (594 mm x 840 mm) but I'm not able to select a custom size to really make use of the roller. Does anyone have experience with printing on rolls?

    Thank you

    Jakob

We have a different designjet, but I may be able to help. Our current designjet is not postscript, and Custom is grayed out in the main menu to print. Enter the Page Setup and choose manage custom paper sizes, we can define the size here. On our printer, the unprintable area must be the moins.25 on the et.67 on the bottom sides, or Setup fails.

I think that it's related to the absence of postscript because our previous design jet was equipped with postscript, and we were able to define page formats custom in the main window of the print.

  • Designjet 500: error 81:01 continues after changing the sensor roller encoder

OK, as described in the title, I started to conspire problems some time previously, I invetigated one error 81:01 a problem with the sensor roller encoder, I disassembled the plotter past the sensor and I worked for a few months. Now the error is back, so I decided to change the sensor for a new, but the 81:01 error continues.

A few times the plotter says has a paper jam and sometimes, paper begins to roll and dosnt stop.

Can someone help me with this?

OK, the problem was solved by changing the roller encoder sensor, I described in the title, after this error persists, l I demonstrate the tracer again and the stop error after I cleaned the optical sensor of the encoder to roll in the car. So that's been the problem, I hope this can help someone.

  • Designjet T790: Do not recognize paper roll

I am trying to load a new roll of paper and all of a sudden my T790 does not recognize the paper roll and refuses to do anything when I slip the paper into the slot. Any suggestions?

    Hello

It's really easy to replace the sensor on paper (OOPS).

You can see under the printer.

    Here is a picture

2 guess before replaing this sensor

1 - Turn the printer orr, unplug the cable and plug it in again (follow the cable to the right and you will see a white plug), turn on the printer

2 during the loading of the paper after paper triguer the paper sensor, keep inserting the paper until it reaches the drive roller. When you hear that beep is because the paper reached the OOPS, but not the drive roll, you keep feeding the paper.

  • Designjet t120: t120 designjet roll configuration

  • HP Designjet 111 with 24 "Roll: Arch D is no longer available in the print options

Normally print us PDF drawing (using Adobe Reader) set to Arch C (18 "x 24"), but sometimes we need D Arch (24 "x 36").

Ark D has somehow been removed from our drop-down list of options. When I try to use customize the size of 24 "x 36", I get a pop up window that indicates that the size is too small or too large. I don't see any other way to add Arch D in the list of options.

I tried the update of drivers, but the message says I have the latest. We have been updating for Windows 10 a few months ago and I don't know that it had no effect on these options.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Solution, it turns out that the printer now ready for print Arch C value by default, and in the settings is a checkbox to rotate 90 degrees.  When this element is on the Ark D option disappears from the list of options.  Note: Also noted that under the 'effects' tab / resizing Options, we set to Arch C, I think that's the main problem of the loss of the ability to print Arch D; Choose 'full size', now able to print once more drawings D arc.

Print on canvas of sheet (13 x 19) on Designjet 130NR works very well. Called HP Support asking if there are 24 "canvas rolls that work. Told me and it makes sense, the tool can not handle the Cup fabric.

    Hello

Strawberry is not really designed to cut the canvas. Is too thick

You can still use it, but you will need to replace it more often.
