DeskJet 1051 windows 8

I bought a printer HP Deskjet 1051 - after that Windows 8 is out. My computer died before installing the printer (I was move to another State in the meantime).

My new computer is a HP with Windows 8 operating system.

I downloaded the HP Assistant driver, seemed to install the windows driver 8, Deskjet the installation disc is clear that it works on Windows XP, Vista, 7. The Version is 22.5.0.

I understand that there is a way to update the installer Deskjet but does not find mention of this in your HP support.

Can you help me?

This installation disk won't hurt you good for a computer of Win8. Please go to the page of downloads of software & driver for your printer, select your operating system from the dropdown menu, click on next and download and install the drivers from the "Select a download" page

I have a HP Deskjet 1051 J410 and cannot print because I updated to Windows 10. I ran the store & under details, he says he detects a problem, but does not say what it is. The printer appears under devices & Printers & said it working properly & has the updated device driver. I have updated the driver from the HP website, but it says driver 1050 instead of 1051. The printer does not appear under Apps > HP anywhere. I removed the

  • HP Deskjet 1051: HP Deskjet 1051 set preferences

I don't know how to set my preferences for my HP Deskjet 1051.  I want to print on both sides of the paper, and I don't see where it says that in the settings.  Can someone tell me please how to do this?  Thank you.

    Hi @cleo44,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you do not want to print on both sides of the paper with your HP Deskjet 1051 and the Windows 7 operating system.

After taking a glance at your User Guide on Page 10, it says:

' NOTE: you can print your document on both sides of the paper, instead of one
side. Click Advanced on the paper/quality or the tab layout. Of the
Pages to print menu choose print odd Pages only. Click OK to print.
After the odd numbered pages of the document were printed, remove the
document from the output tray. Reload the paper in the paper tray with the White side
facing upward. Back to the Pages to print drop-down list and select print even
Pages only. Click OK to print. »

If my color cartridge is empty, can I continue to print in black?

    DeskJet 3512, Windows 7.

    HI oldtoot,

You should be able to print with just the black cartridge installed.

Here a link to the manual. On page 30 in details how to use mode single-cartridge to operate your printer using only a single print cartridge.

  • The Deskjet 1051 does support Linux?

    Hello

The Deskjet 1051 does Linux support via the HPLIP software? I bought this printer. Thank you very much.

As far as I now, this should work, the F behind the product number is just the specific productnumber to the 1051, then j410 indicates a 1050 and j410f a 1051.

What version of Windows 7 do you have?  (Open a DOS window and type WORM.)

Try the following: start, devices and printers, adding a printer, add a local printer, LPT1: (just as a placeholder), then, and then click Windows Update.  Your computer must be connected to the internet.  It may take a few minutes for the current list, once it is click on the HP manufacturer (not HP) and scroll down beyond the Designjet 800PS printer Deskjet 1220C.

If for some reason you can't get the driver via Windows Update is also available on the Windows Catalog Site but this site is a little awkward to use.  The HP 1220C driver can be downloaded from the Site catalog Microsoft Update here.  You should not use IE, this site does not support other browsers.  The x 64 version of the driver is the one who is 11.6 Mb, the smaller is the x 86 driver and the largest is for the rare IA-64 architecture.  In this case, you save the file downloaded from the Microsoft website, and then extract the files into a working directory.  When you add the printer select the option "have disk" and point to the file where the driver was previously extracted.

    Hi miltmaslin,

After some additional research, I decided that there is no comprehensive software features available and drivers for this printer for Windows 7.

I can only suggest to try a USB 2.0 printer cable to install the driver in OS as shown previously, otherwise please call our hotline at 800-474-6836 for your upgrade options. Hi @DiGill,

I saw your post about software problems you encounter since the upgrade to Windows 10 and I would like to see if I can help.

First, you must consider the information contained in these resources.

If you printer software was installed before your upgrade, I try to uninstall the software completely and then reinstall it by using the most recent driver available on the HP Web site. Here's how to clean all the drivers of your computer.

I recommend referencing the steps described in this document to make sure that you haven't missed anything whatsoever;  Uninstalling the printer software - use as a rough guide, but the steps for Windows 8 should be pretty close to Windows 10.

You can also delete files using disk cleanup - take care to put check marks in selection boxes when it is available. (Once again Windows 8)

Software drivers can hide other places would be in your device manager.

    To open Device Manager:
    1) enter the Device Manager in the search field.
    2) click on Device Manager.
    (3) you can click on View, in the upper part of the windows, click Show hidden devices.
    (4) to develop the types of devices and check for any pilot associated with your printer.
    (5) to remove a device from Device Manager, click on the name of the device in the list and then click Uninstall.

For more information, see for Windows Device Manager information 8/10.

Download the newest software package here; Drivers and software features full printer e-all-in-one HP Deskjet 3520.

Or download the direct link here.

Then look for the updates of Windows; Drivers and software with Windows Update (Windows Update 10, 8)

Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

    Thank you

  • HP Deskjet 6980: windows 10 + HP6980 to print YELLOW

The driver for the HP Deskjet 6980 for Windows 10 mistranslates colors sent to the printer. It's what I use is the only new driver for this printer for Windows 7/64.

Specifically, the YELLOW does not print at all - anything this spell either green blue. I tested this feature by printing two versions of color bars. Indeed, there is no yellow printing, and all the Greens are printed blue. And, Yes, I use new color and black cartridges, so no need to ask about it.

I built a computer completely NEW with NEW hard disks and a clean install of Windows 10/64-bit via USB 3.0 drive. The only two things that the surplus of my old Windows XP system are the printer and the scanner (HP Scanjet 4370) which worked perfectly on XP system. The scanner has its own problems with Windows 10 and the HP Photosmart Premier does not work (but it is a different matter). I downloaded the new drivers for both devices.

Apparently, from what I read on the site of HP, the printer or the scanner are supported any longer. I consider that very rude and unacceptable, especially since no appropriate replacement printer is available new from HP with good quality that I've come to expect from HP.

All that said, is anyone know how I can get my printer to print YELLOW?

    Proteus

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

The Deskjet 6980 is available in the IN-OS drivers.

    Drivers to win 10 In-OS

    Follow these steps

    1. click right on the button start (Windows icon) select 'control panel '.

    2. under "Control Panel", select "view devices and printers."

    3. Select "add a printer".

    4. If he finds your printer (you have your printer connect via the USB port on your computer), follow these steps to install the drivers in the OS.  Otherwise, select 'the printer that I want isn't listed' > next

    5. in the next screen, select 'Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings' > next

    6. Select "use an existing port: ' > next»»

    7. Select HP > HP Deskjet 6980 (HP) (we recommend that you click on "Windows Update" which could make the HP Deskjet 6980 printer (HP) option.  Note that the 'Windows Update' can take up to 10 minutes depending on how fast your speed at wide band is"

    8. click on 'Next' and follow the remaining steps to install your printer driver.

    Hope that helps for printing.

About your Scanner, you can try this:

    HP extended Scan

    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

  • Problems scanning w/HP Deskjet F4140 Windows 7

Hello everyone.  In early November, I have switched my operating system to Windows 7 since Vista.  After the switch, I downloaded the driver for the HP Deskjet F4140 for Windows 7 32-bit operating system.  Now, when I scan documents, the resulting image is often just a small fraction of the document I'm scanning.  I will analyze the same image several times without adjusting in the scanner, and the resulting image will be different every time.  The scanner has worked with Vista, the latter always analyzed the entire picture that I wanted to, and now it is essentially unusable because the images it produces are worthless.  I really liked having a scanner, and if someone could help me on how to correct this problem, I would greatly appreciate.  I tried to uninstall the driver, it redownloading and put it back, still 2 other times now, and still, I need to solve my problem.  Thank you for your time and effort. -JSR

Hello again.  I wanted to just as everyone else I have solved my problem.  You can scan images through the Paint program, and in this way to make product image, just like before.  I found this out on

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01884960: 10 & lc = en & dlc = & cc = us & lang = & product = 3235310

which is a HP support page, I'm so happy that they had provided such information.  I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but if so, I hope that my solution will work for you as well. -JSR

  • DeskJet 6940: windows 10

Windows 10 - I changed my 6940 Deskjet and Officejet 4500 no longer print in color.  Advice would be MOST appreciated!

Two slightly used and neocolonial, printers have never had a problem.

    Hello @judykayt,

It is a great place to get help! I read your post and to see that since the upgrade to Windows 10, two printers will not print in color. I want to help you solve this problem.

If you does not completely uninstall the driver and reinstall it, I would suggest starting there first. Here is the document to install the latest Windows 10 drivers for the Deskjet 6940: install and use the built-in print driver Windows.

Here is the link for the Officejet 4500 drivers and software: OJ_AIO_4500_G510n-z_Full_Win_WW_140_408 - 5.exe

If you're still having problems, try the steps outlined in this document for the missing colors: absent, Faded or dull colors. Let me know the results of the diagnostic page.

Please click the 'Thumbs Up' to thank me for my efforts! If this helps you resolve the problem you are experiencing, please click the "accept as Solution. Keep me posted. Good luck!
