DeskJet 2544: Deskjet 2544 cartridges

My printer has a label stuck on where it says that I have to buy the print cartridge #301 - and the cartridges of old, of work are the two 301. So when the ink was low, I bought a 301, and I received a message telling me that there was a "failure of the cartridge. Could be a loser - I contacted the vendor to this topic.

However, I followed the steps in the HP support and used the website of HP telling me I need cartridge #61. Is this good?

  • All-in-one Deskjet 1510: "cartridge has no" deskjet hp1510

I just replaced the black cartridge for the first time on my deskjet HP 1510. Before replacing the status for my tricolor cartridge supplies still show a lot of ink. I use the official HP deskjet 92 black ink cartridge and the cartridge three-color 61.

After replacing the black ink cartridge, the two lights on the printer ink started to blink and the HP utility application on my computer States:

    Device status: ink cartridge problem

Alternative: Cartridge failed - tricolor ink cartridge failed - black ink.

I tried to restart the printer, remove and reinsert the cartridges and clean the contacts of the cartridge. I also followed the instrucutions of http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Deskjet-1510-All-in-One-Printer-series/5157551/model/5157552/...

There is no change in status, and I'm unable to print.

Unfortunately, my warranty expired 6 days ago so I would be recognizing any suggestions to solve this problem. Thank you!

The e-all-in-one printer Deskjet 1510 uses the black 61-61 color cartridges as indicated on the site of HP SureSupply here.

There was an old series PSC 1510 which could have used the 98 black cartridge, but the HP 98 is not compatible with your printer.

You need to replace the cartrdige balck with a 61 HP or HP 61xl cartridge.

  • All-in-one HP Deskjet F380: use of HP Deskjet F380 cartridge.

I want to know if we can use a single cartridge in HP Deskjet F380, or use two cartridges at the same time?

    Hi @Shubhamp,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you would like to know if you can print mode single cartridge with this printer. I would like to help you today.

According to the manual, it does not indicate that you can simply use the cartridge in this model. The two cartridges need to be installed and work to continue printing with this model.

When you receive a low-ink warning message, make sure you have an available replacement cartridge. You must also replace the print cartridges when you see has passed out in text, or if you are having print quality problems associated with print cartridges

  • Missing configuration for deskjet 3070 cartridges

    Hello

I have a deskjet 3070. I have always used HP original cartridges. currently I could not print in black and bought a new cartridge. Still, I had the same problem and ran cleaningprogams HP several times. Without a bit of luck. Then I changed the chartridge with a new... And now, the problems started. Now the printer asking setup inialize the printer cartridges, which I did not and I was never informed, I should keep these anyway.  I looked for answers to the problem of several places, but without a bit of luck... So what to do now. I am thinking of buying another brand, or is there a solution?

The store gave me a replacementprinter, so problem solved

  • All-in-one Deskjet 2540: Brand New Deskjet 2540 - "cartridge is Incompatible - black ink cartridge.

I just got a new HP Deskjet 2540 all-in-one yesterday, ordered from amazon.de, went through the installation of software on my 2015 Macbook Pro running OSX Yosemite, deleted the band contained in 301 ink cartridges provided, placed them in the printer (tricolor on the left, in black on the right) without touching the electrical contacts or the ink nozzles and tried and align the ink cartridges.

    I met an error message:

    'Incompatible ink cartridge.

    Black [K]

The cartridge listed above is not intended for use in this printer as it is currently configured.

    Please see using printer. "

Strange, but no matter, the bad seats maybe. I opened the drawer, removed black and reinstalled. Same error message. Well, I ordered an extra authentic HP 301 XL knowing I would run on Finally, maybe my ink cartridge provided was bad. I removed the 301 XL tape and installed. This time, no message error, but as soon as I went to print an alignment page, I received the same error. I went back between cartridges and sometimes I get the printer to accept it, but any attempt to use the printer caused an error message.

So I went on this forum, found a few tips on how to solve the problem. I tried the resets seats and the relocation and hard. Same error message. I went to clean the contacts, using a cotton swab, filter coffee and bottled water Jig only contacts of eletrical on two ink cartridges (normal and XL) and contacts of printers. I let them dry for 10 minutes and reinstall. Same error message, no progress.

I'm at a loss for what to do that this is a new printer and I say to myself that I would not have this much trouble. If I could get advice on what to do and more: seats/resettlement, cleaning the contacts, hard reset, it would be appreciated.

    HI bchowseph,

I found some information about the printer product Specifications.  It does not list the cartridge 301 for Western Europe.  The 61 is for North America.  I think I made the assumption that you were in the United States (my bad!)

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-DeskJet-2540-all-in-one-printer-series/5295960/model/5295961/document/c03811750/

I greatly apologize for the confusion!

Yet, the printer should accept the cartridges you had - so I think I can get a replacement printer is the right course of action.

The ink cartridges should be OK for a few days in an airtight container.  You may need to run a routine cleaning cartridge if you see necessary ink missing once you have installed.

If you need to return the standard procedure is to call HP customer care.

I hope that everything works with the replacement printer.  I also hope it is resolved quickly!

  • DeskJet F380 cartridge Black XL problems

Hi, I got the XL cartridges for my deskjet f380 for the first time. regular cartridges are empty, I replaced first the Tricolor and now black. The printer worked fine with the replacement of the Tricolor, but the habit now to work with the installed Black XL. I've deleted and reinstalled several times, black checked that the contacts are clean they are and there is no more suggestions in the book after that beyond replacement.  It feels as if it was almost too big for the carrier when it is installed and clings a little. I use more pressure inside to the smaller size. the cartridge is a registered dealer and has been a new HP cartridge, xl21, which is right for the printer, and as it is now some time after buying them they were installed I am unable to return to the store and I am not happy to have to pay $60 for a new test the theory that it is defective. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi thanks for the reply, I bought a carton of smaller capacity and it works fine. Before problem seems to be the XL cartridge.

Problem is I need my printer and I can't take it to the store as I am currently

    What could I do?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi again Jasper

As the printer is still under warranty I would definitely say contact you HP support by phone you may need a replacement printer if they can't help get transportation out of the position of feed change.

If you're really stuck and cannot access support, you can try the following as you mentioned previously that the transport always seems to move because the printer can print.

Please don't do it if you really are in trouble and need to print something for work.  Also, please follow the following steps only once in a few minutes, because if you let the printer with the cart in the middle of its print space you run the risk of the printhead dry out.

    • Send a print job to the printer.
    • When the printer prints disconnect the power supply to the back of the printer.
    • Now, open the printer and I hope that the transport will be in the middle.
    • You should now be able to put in your other supplies.  Once they are installed, plug the printer in.
    • Now, you might get some error messages and confusion of the printer as it will certainly not expect to see new supplies when the power comes back.
    • Wait for the printer to stop.
    • Turn off the power to the power button.
    • Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer.
    • Wait 30 seconds.
    • The power lead into the plug.
    • Then turn the printer on the switch.

I hope this will clear any error.

Like I said the best thing to do is to contact HP support, but if you really need to print, you can try what I mention above.  However, I would still recommend contact HP support.

    I hope this helps.

  • DeskJet 5550 cartridge status light flashing problem

I have a Deskjet 5550. The power led is on and the print cartridge status light is FLASHING. Immediately before that, the prints have a lot of black and color.

I opened and closed the plate on the cartridges.

I took on each of the two cartridges and put back them in.

I have looked for "the yellow arrow and icons", but can not find them.

I turned the printer on and outside.

I turned off the computer (Compac Presario CG60 - 206US Notebook PC) and rebooted.

Help! Please, I beg you! Thank you!!!

    Hi mmdb1,

I understand that the cartridges are not cheap, but to help isolate the problem, try another set of cartridges. If you install a new set and the problem is resolved, you can then contact our technical support line for the replaced defective cartridges.
