HP Deskjet 3070: cartridges missing or defective

I put new cartridges in printer Deskjet 3070 and now the error message is displayed: cartridges missing or defective. I placed the new cartridges and cartridges is not error. Are the cartridges default?

Also replace the cartridges might solve the problem.

  • Missing or defective printhead product number - Deskjet B210a - CN216A

    I have a HP Deskjet B210a. I had problems a couple of years, and HP has had enough to replace it even if it was at the end (but not quite) out of warranty.

    As part of the replacement they sent me a printhead from backup.

    I ran out of color ink, but I didn't care during the last month or so because I just need to print black and white. I noticed at one point that a message would be popup saying that the empty cartridge now was not a genuine cartridge. Not sure why he said that, because he said it was ok when first installed.

    Well, a week previously, the black stopped printing. She showed black was weak, but not really out. I assumed it was quite low and went and bought a new black ink cartridge. I put it and nothing printed... not black at all and I did not receive an error message.

    I tried to do an align and maybe because I was off color it failed. However, I wanted to try the new print head. I'm not a novice at computers and it was not difficult to remove the old printhead. I lifted the lever and pulled up. I placed a new one by placing in the same position and lower the lever. But now when I try and turn it on, it says "missing or print head has failed. I tried to clean it up, I tried the old man a new and I get the same message.

    It is likely that this is due to the ink color cartridges missing? I can't wait to go buy more ink if this thing will not work again and place it to another printer. Someone has an idea of what might be happening here?

    Hi Ken, you got one of these small wipes with the new print head? They are quite practical to remove the ink dried etc..

  • Problems installing HP Deskjet 3070 in cartridge.

    I had problems with the work wireless on my "HP Deskjet 3070 all-in-one printer" and after trying different solutions, that I found on the HP support, I decided to give in and factory reset it.

    You restore the default settings of the printer setting menu?  If this isn't the case, then you had to access a special menu?

    Do you have what reset selected?

    Also, the cartridges of CONFIGURATION are not able to buy from a retailer.  The only way to get the cartridges INSTALLATION is through HP Technical Support.  I don't know what options they have for you in this case are, but I know that they are the only ones with these cartridges outside the original, the value provided with the printer.

    I installed a printer HP Deskjet 3070 for a neighbor. During installation, I used cartridges HP 364 'standard' instead of the cartridges 'setup '.     continue to use your cartridge installation first and when they will be empty use the cartridges 'standards', if the CAP custom fit more on the 'standard' cartridges put them in something sealed so that they don't dry out until you need it.

  • Office jet 670o Premium: HP Officejet 6700 premium - printhead missing or defective

    I'm having the same error as many others on this forum re: error message suddenly appears saying that the printhead is missing or defective. I followed all steps suggested HP, i.e., unplug the unit, check the ink cartridges, etc.. None of them has nothing to fix or cross the same question. My printer is about 2 years, so more under warranty.  There is no explanation for the cleaning of the printheads on the 6700 and other products do not translate to the 6700.  I watched about 1/4 on the blog, some at the beginning and at the end and that you won't lose my pages in all 12 looking for time to dissatisfied customers.

    And I just bought and installed new ink cartridges that are not cheap.  What a waste...

    Please let me know what I can do would be much less $ than buying a new printer, because it surely won't be a HP.   This is a problem for years and always HP chose not to solve.  they would rather you buy another HP throw.  Good luck!

    Today my C4580 all-in-one printer printed a page VERY slow and after I turned it and then turn on the error message appeared "print cartridge missing or not detected".

    I searched the forum and found a similar problem someone had a few months to which DexterM responded and I followed the same steps given here, I tried the cartridge cleaning and reset (unplug the unit from the wall), but I still have the message.

    So I printed out the self-assessment report:

    for the code = 10

    16 PX = 4

    53 PX = 4

    63 PX = 4

    54 HP = 1

    64 HP = 1

    56 STAT = 0

    66 STAT = 0

    BILL 57 = 64

    BILL 67 = 44

    and with the code of the removed black print cartridge = 43 results are the same as hers:

    Ok. Looks like you have almost tried everything. Unfortunately, the results of the test pages you printed doesn't help me understand the issue. I suggest you try to reset the printer. remove the cartridges before you begin these steps.

    1. press the Power button and the Cancel button at the same time and release them. The display shows "enter special key Combo".
    2. now press the (Scan) (color copy) Green Blue and grey (black copy) buttons one after the other. The display shows "Support ".
    3. press 2 times on the blue button. "Reset" menu. Now press OK. If the screen still shows the Reset Menu After you press OK, then press the green button.
    4. press the gray button. Should display "semi-Full Reset". OK\Green press button. The printer turns off.
    5. turn on the printer and select your country and language.

    Reinsert the cartridges once you do this. If you still get the same message, open the HP Solution Center program on your PC, then check the dipstick of ink or the status of the printer. It should tell you what print cartridge has the problem. Replace this cartridge. If it works, then call HP so that they can replace the defective cartridge for you.

    I wonder if others have had similar problems or ideas on the underside, surely I can't be the only one to use this installation/suffering with this problem.

    Printers: HP Deskjet 3070 All in One (USB/Wifi)

    Operating systems: Windows 7 64-bit (installed absolutely fine on Win 7 32 bit laptop computer connected via wifi).

    Setup: - a Homehub BT, providing WiFi for laptop (Win7 32 bit), a desktop computer (WinXP SP3), the printer has an IP address, which is visible on the home network map - it has a MAC address also. My PC: connected by Ethernet to the homehub which is currently running wifi for all of the foregoing.

    Drivers using downloaded: -.

    + Computer laptop Win 7 32 bits connected via WiFi to the Homehub - installed fine, found printer - this is the stage where the printer receives a configuration intial IP address / completed.

    + WinXP SP3 connected through WiFi to Homhub - as above, correct, opportunity driver found the printer (which, at this time already, there).

    If the printer exists within the network, other computers can see / use it.

    ++ My PC: Win 7 64 bit connected by ETHERNET to Homehub (she does not and will not have a wireless option).

    Downloaded the drivers to install HP. (later tried "Run as Administrator"), select the software components (i.e. Remove feedback/coupons etc), installs OK applications, next step is the configuration of the printer. Add a new printer. "Check network" window appears with the message "Checking network environment" bar and the State. The status bar springs upward but stops dead at the filled Stadium. No possibility to choose whatever it, pressing Cancel has no effect. End of task here generates an error of 'work '. 'devicesetup.exe' stopped The installer never ends, applications are installed, but at no time, it shows the printer/selection.

    I tried many things: complete uninstall "engines", which in this case seem to be the only applications, ensure that all non-essential startup items are disabled, make sure that the firewall is DISABLED (just to be sure), ensure that the anti-virus is disabled there is, in fact, no other printer installed (this computer never had a printer attached to it) make sure file sharing and printing are powered, ensure that there is no TCP/IP/ports printers mapped etc... Still the same error, old or new drivers, always the same - installation does not complete.

    All the doctor diagnostic tools/printing tell me I have to install the driver software (I agree) but direct me to the HP site to download the ones I already have.

    I can't enter the Server Web integrated (the PC where I can't install the drivers, or one of the 2 PC's who have installed correctly). One of them if I click on networking or wireless or advanced it warns a HTTPS connection and then fails with "internal server error".

    My questions to someone kind enough to read this wall of text: -.

    + Anyone has any ideas please? I would prefer not to return the printer as defective because it seems to be a good all-rounder and it works for 2 other PCs in the House, its just mine which does not connect! Sad...

    I'll try the USB installation and then removing the USB-> wireless to see if that can help. I had previously seen articles where people offer to buy a router to 3rd party like that is basically a wifi pass through broadcaster. It is not for me thanks

    Thank you all for reading at least, it's now corrected with slightly reduced functionality.

    Install the USB printer, then DO NOT convert into wireless via HP drivers/installation.

    Change the USB to a TCP/IP port port newly created under the control panel of the printer (windows 7), enter the IP manually to the printer - you want an IP address that will change not in order to make this work - forcing the Home Hub to never provide that the same IP unique to this particular device was the easiest way for me. This connected but showed as offline printer constantly, others may have different experiences.

    To fix that (for me): -.

    Installing the printer in Control Panel Goto, force reinstall drivers HP ("via the drive"). Make sure that all the old files are overwritten. Turn the printer and then turn on (power button - twice if in mode "standby" to disable). Wait until the wireless light will stop flashing and become solid blue. Check in Control Panel if the status is online, if so you are good to go

    As a result of this sabotage, you lose the feature advanced scan for PC etc etc, but the real impression seems to be absolutely perfect. The printer is always available to everyone on the network, etc.

When I try to print the text in red, it comes out yellow. When I try to print a purple variant, he leaves little green lifestyle. If I want to print Yellow, blue or black, it is printed correctly. I checked the ink cartridges, they have been placed correctly. I cleaned the print head, did not help.     It seems that the magenta ink is not printing correctly.  The steps in this troubleshooting page can help.  If they don't resolve the problem the message here can help.

    (On your printer) Reconnect the printer to the network by running the Wireless Setup Wizard and try to restart the web services. If this is not enough, you may need to change some settings of DNS in the EWS (built-in web server) printers
    * To do this, put the IP address in a browser window on your PC.

    This should start the integrated Web server. In SAP, select the network on the network tab, select 'network '.

    Then select "network address" (IP). Do not change the IP configuration at the top. Go down under "DNS address configuration"and select 'Manual DNS server'. " Under manual DNS server, enter (an 8 in each box on the first line) 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on the second line. Press the button 'Apply' at the bottom.

    Now try to connect to Web Services again.

    I feel as usual.  I went to another sheet of printing, and it came on my printer.  "Ink cartridge missing or not detected".  Earlier today, I put in a new black ink cartridge.  I took out and the color one, again no change.  I connected the printer to the front and back, waited, plugged back without success.

    I don't know what is the cause and I'm not very irritable with computers.  I thought to change color ink, but he is looking fine on the papers that I printed.   Help, please.  The printer is older, but I take care of it and have never had a problem until now.  It is a HP Photosmart C4240 all-in-one.

    Nevermind I found the answer.  I copy the information because it worked!

    I found this video very useful.

    The steps are also listed below

    1. press the button and the button cancel at the same time.

    2. you will be asked to enter a special code press the blue button, green button and the grey button (in that order, one after the other).

    4. press the green button.

    Hi all, my Deskjet 3070 has stopped printing via ePrint, "internal error." I changed from a dynamic address to a static address and now ePrint is completely disabled. have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but it still picked the static address.

    Question: How can I return to a dynamic address and try again.
