DeskJet 3520: Paper Photo collection

Does anyone know why my printer is not feeding the paper properly.

If I use a fine photo paper or normal plain paper it picks up fine and the image is printed OK. However, I bought some gloss photo paper in 260gsm and it does not pick up properly. I find myself with a big edge at one end and the other cuts. I cleaned the collection of pebbles, but still no joy. Any ideas?

@Clive5

Some places to check / change:

Although the paper is the specifications for Photo paper (max is 280 g/m), the book itself is perhaps the question:

  • Too wet paper > replace paper
  • Too dry paper > replace paper
  • Paper is not enough good quality (brand is not always a factor) > replace paper
  • Paper is "stuck" > remove paper, fan, place rear paper in the tray
  • The paper is of the wrong type for this printer (paper must be of type "Ink Jet" as opposed to "laser")
  • Selection of the type of media paper is some form of"HP Photo paper" and the brand of paper is not HP

If you have not done - or if you have recently migrated / switched operating systems, please install the software of full functionality for your printer.

  • Definition of custom paper size Deskjet 3520

Hello. I need to define my own custom for printing paper size Christmas cards, birthday cards, and the pages of my own book write etc.

Some 'examples' of my requiered "make your own Christmas and birthday card ' in size: 10 x 7 inches, or: 255 x 178"

    Size = 6 book printing 1/8 inch x 8 7/8 inch = 216 x 156mm

There are to many other 'create your own' card sizes.

Question: How do you define your own size requierments?

    Hey @driverman,

I understand that since the relocation of your Windows operating system 8 you are no longer able to modify your e-all-in-one printer driver HP Deskjet 3520 to allow custom prints. I want to help you with this today. It is strange that the Deskjet 9800 is not in the list of drivers, because it is a pre-installed driver built into your Windows operating system. That being said, I'll make you try another replacement driver.

    1. Open the screen to Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen, or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the 'Ctrl' key
    2. In the start screen, type "devices and printers".
    3. If the option devices and printers fill automatically, click settings at the top right and click then on devices and printers.
    4. In the devices and printers folder right click on your Deskjet 3520 and left click on printer properties
    5. Left click on the Advanced tab
    6. Left-click on new driver
    7. When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
    8. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    9. DeskJet 6980 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 6980 does not appear select "Windows Update" on the lower left. Once the update is completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 6980.
    10. After selecting Deskjet 6980 hit Next to complete the wizard driver new
    11. Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
    12. Select the general tab
    13. Rename your HP Deskjet 3520 printer
    14. Click OK
    15. Finally, right click on your Deskjet 3520 one more time and click on Printing Preferences
    16. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    17. Left click on the drop down menu of 'Normal' for the quality of printing on the bottom right and change its normal fast
    18. Press apply and OK

Now that the other driver has been loaded successfully please test print in order to confirm if the problem is resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. You can also click thethumbs up' ' icon below to say "thanks for the help!" I look forward to hear from you!

    Comment

In my opinion, unless you want to print the notice yourself for some reason, this might be the time to look for a local printing Service company that can help by printing the invitations for you with your special message / staff.

You can provide the staff of print service with a sample of your message that is printed on plain paper.  This way you are not tempted and then perhaps overwhelmed with choices that may be other than what you have already decided.

    Why use a printing Service?

    • This printer also beautiful be, isn't able to print invitations from the way you expect.
    • The invitations are likely to be expensive and perhaps not easily replaceable.
    • The test phase may exceed the number of invitations you want to risk.

If you do, you could remove this in your list of items "I do" and entrusts the care professionals.

I just replaced a (almost) empty black ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet 3520 printer, and now I get no word on paper. The printer prints photos of a text, but not the text. The test page only gives light gray instead of black values.

You have any suggestions on how to operate the HPScan?

    Hi @Barrry

    A few ideas come to mind. It seems that the question has something to do with the software. Let's first run the printer Installation Wizard because it could detect that something is missing and help to fill the gaps;

Click here to download and run the HP printer install wizard for Windows

If the problem persists, running the print and Scan doctor could help. Printing HP and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including but not limited to:

    • Connectivity:

USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.

    • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

    • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

    • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

    • Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.

    • Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).

    • Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.

    • Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

    • Ink issues: check the cartridges and the ink levels for issues that affect the print quality.

    • Print settings: check and adjust the print quality settings.

    • Test print: print a test page for the assessment of the print quality and provides options for cleaning and if necessary print head alignment.

    • Scan tests: check the scanning mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

    • If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.

  • If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.

  • If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.

  • Windows 8.1 + HP Deskjet 3520 + HP Scan and capture

    Hello

I have a laptop with Windows installed 8.1 and I am connected to a HP Deskjet 3520 Series printer.

What is exactly the Capture and scanning HP?  How can I scan and enter?

    Hi KennyG63,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support and I thank you for the great question.

Capture and scanning HP is a free application available for download from the Windows store. It can capture photos or documents of a HP all-in-One (network only) or your computer's built-in camera. I have included a link with detailed steps on how to scan using HP and Capture app scanning.

  • DeskJet 3520 - print Invitations

I use a HP Deskjet 3520 on a Windows 7 PC. I am currently trying to print an invitation 5.5 "x 8.5" on Word 2010 and little matter the customizations that I try to do through word itself or the properties of the printer, the output prints still on the right side. Anyone know how to fix this?

Don't forget that my printer load paper of smaller size to the center of the status bar rather than the left or right. Any help would be appreciated... !

Daniel, from what you describe, you try printer 5.5 * 8.5 paper, however, the printer is not properly align printing with paper that you use. Is this correct?

First of all, I want to note that after checking the product specifications (link below) that the printer you have does not have 5.5 * 8.5 paper listed as some supported paper sizes (check under management specifications of the paper).

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03274848

Now, beyond that, after the centering of paper in the paper in the printer tray, you've been through both the program that you are using to print and the printer preferences (usually listed as 'Préférences' or 'Printer Preferences' in the print window) to make sure that you use paper size has been designated? The information must match both of what the computer sends and the printer expects to receive.

    Let me know!

  • Double track scanning with the help of Deskjet 3520

    Hi all

I just bought an all-in-one Deskjet 3520 Pinter.  Far so good except that I can't figure out how to scan multiple pages into 1 PDF document.  I found a guide who said there was a button to add pages on the left side of the screen preview of the scan, but it doesn't seem to be there!

I am running Windows XP.  And help greatly appreciated

Scanning from the printer should actually encourage not to all other pages...

Scanning multiple pages can be done via the software itself.

Open the printer software, or scanning HP and then scan a Document or Photo.

Select PDF, check the resolution is 300 dpi or less and preview it is checked, and then click Scan.

change pages, and then click the Plus sign button to scan additional pages.

Once you're done save the analytical work and it must be registered on a single PDF file.
