  It seems that this feature turn off the printer automatically after 2 hours of inactivity to help reduce energy consumption. I saw no other information to change the auto off time.

• HP DeskJet 3634: HP DeskJet 3634 print show

  Printer is 8 months old and worked fine so far. Any document placed on the scanning bed blurry prints - almost an impression double effect. Have replaced ink cartridges, brought head pint. No improvement. Any suggestions?

  -Very well, make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. Once it is, while the printer is on, remove the power cable at the back of the printer for one minute. Finally, make a copy. If the copy is still not exact, the printer must be replaced.   Bought with & Windows 8 PC. Updated to 8.1. Warned by Microsoft, updated to 10. This printer had worked. Continued to work. Just - once in a great while, usually when I run out of paper, it crashes. I go into my files for 'HP Printer Wizard.exe Install' and using it, the printer works after a reboot/restart.

  All of a sudden, today. I ran out of paper. Inserted a few papers and printer do not print. I tried all the usual: above, restart, disconnect/reconnect, etc.. Nothing works. Online research and web site does not recognize my printer. ?? So I put in the original CD and tried to "install". That did not work. Tried to install any file showing the .exe and others. Nothing works. Help!

  FYI the website shows that I have a warranty that will expire in November 2016. But I can't get any help anywhere. No phone number. Searching the Internet, it's the only option I have at my disposal.

  Try to reset the factory default firmware...

  Enter the IP address of the printer in the search bar of any browser, when the Web page opens, click on: setting > restore default.

  To find the IP address, press the buttons wireless and information.

  Did you follow the steps to complete the alignment process by placing it on the window and pressing the copy button?

  Any new ink must be aligned to ensure good print quality, when you have completed the process of the page that needs to complete the scanning process and the page is no longer printing until the ink cartridge replacement.

  I would like to help you today with correctly configuring the time on your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2640 series All - in - One Printer. Can I please you follow the steps below.

  1. On the front screen of your Deskjet tap the down arrow until you see Preferences
  2. Select OK in preferences
  3. Arrow down until you see the Date and time
  4. Click OK on the Date and time
  5. You must first confirm that the Date is correct. Once the date has been confirmed, you will then be able to set the time
  6. Select OK to save your changes

  Whenever I go to print something on my printer, its tour and I don't know why, so when I have activate it and go to print an article, it shall decide on its own to print a Test Page first, all under its weight is to lose paper, it says its by aligning the heads, it should not have to align heads whenever I want to use

  How he stop doing that every time? , its boring and I cannot find any way to stop it in the settings menu

  I understand how frustrating, it would be for you. It seems that alignment has not completed when you installed the printer at the start. The alignment sheet must be scanned or the process repeats. This is normal and it will continue to realign itself ended successfully.

  This guide illustrates the alignment process:

  • HP DeskJet printers 2130 - setting up printers
  Load paper into the paper feeder (make sure that you load into the fresh, unused paper tray).

  Load plain, US letter or A4 paper in tray after installing ink cartridges.

• HP deskjet 5150 does only print one line at a time

  My deskjet 5150 worked very well until another paper went through and stuck.  I was able to pull the tail of the outside before he completely crossed, thus eliminating the document.  After that, the printer went from normal to print to print one line at a time, with long breaks between the two, such that a journal would take several minutes to print.

  It happened before, and it seems that one of the many random things that I try finally works (striking out the cartridges, etc.), or he decides to forms and works correctly at some point anyway.  I don't know what is the actual active ingredient.  However, it has recovered from such behaviour several times before.

  I should mention that this malfunction/recovery routine began and most recently occurred when connected to my old iBook G4 Mac computer.  I have just this week has changed to a MacBook Pro, the latest operating system running, and the printer is not different.  It prints one line at a time.

  I don't know when this has happened to the other HP printers that I had in the past, I just put away, not realizing that they still had plenty of life in them left.  This one, I have "revived" several times already.  But how, I'm not sure!

  I suggest paper paper jam for the troubleshooting steps that are recommended for the jamming problem you had. Generally a very good cleaning of the rollers will help a little, and also a power reset.

• Mac Lion will not configure Deskjet 3050 a to the wireless router. Have installed software HP 3 times.

  My Deskjet 3050 series J611j was ooriginally configured with Mac OS Snow Leopard. I have since installed Lion (10.7.3). I inadvertently reset the default printer and it stopped connecting with the wireless router.  I installed the new software HP Lion but when I go through the installation, after that I tell the printer to connect to the router, I get a message saying that the device is not connected to the computer and connect with a USB connection. But it is connected with a USB cable.

  I fixed it by pulling on an old PC and launch the CD. Who got up the printer on the wireless. from there, I could finish and connect with the Mac.  Thank you.

  I see that whenever you reconnect the USB cable, you get the message that the "device is not recognized", when you try to scan. You must remove and readd the device to make it work again.

  Download and run the Print and Scan doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically. Find and fix common printer problems using the tools of diagnosis HP for Windows?

  If you're still having problems, then take a look at this document.

  "Year error occurred while communicating with scanner ' or a"He has no connection to the computer"message when scanning.

  Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet and the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. The USB cable should not be more then 6 feet. Is the cable a cable 2.0 or 3.0

  Try another USB cable. Try a different USB port on the computer.

  You experience the same problem through the wireless connection or just the USB connection?

  What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

  Is it a laptop or desktop?

  Please provide detailed results if you're still having problems.

• DeskJet 6940 ink black smudges on page some time after the change of the cartridge

  Ink started smudges on the printed page, not immediately after I changed the cartridge ink, but after about 50 leaves.  Some leaves have small lines perpendicular to the printed lines as was ink on the rollers.

  I opened the printer and wipe excess ink above the bottom of the grey cables and off the coast of stainless steel rod that runs through the Interior.

  Someone at - it ideas?

  My DJ4645e works perfectly except that HP Scan via the wifi network loading time is very long (30-60 seconds).
