DeskJet 5652 under Windows 7 - scalling useless when using autoduplexer

Hello

I am very disappointed about Windows 7 drivers for DeskJet 5652 printer. Drivers have some bugs:

When I printed the document on both sides of the paper (with automatic duplex unit) printer do some page scalling (it increases the margins at the top and bottom of the page) - impression seems strange because all that the page is a bit shorter, also fonts like Times New Roman, Arial, etc looks like... strange, different because of this unnecessary scalling. It only happens when I use the auto duplexer.

I tried to fix it myself. I tried to change the print processor in the settings of the printer of hpzppwn7 to winprint and got partial success - printer doesn't no matter what scalling (using the duplexer) but something else does not-number of copies. When I change the number of copies from 1 to i. e. 3 in the windows printer window and also in the advanced drivers tab - it does not print only one copy. This parameter is ignored in winprint.

Please fix these problems, because this printer is useless in Windows 7... It is very unfortunate, it is not that old!

You plan out an another Windows 7 drivers for this printer? Maybe some fix?

Greetings and thanks for your help!

There is a text file: hpf4bk3l.gpd

* PrintableArea: PAIR (9624, 13269)
* PrintableOrigin: PAIR (150, 83)
* CursorOrigin: PAIR (150, 83)

Can you explain these three parameters: PrintableArea, PrintableOrigin, and CursorOrigin? What do these numbers mean?

I think that the solution to my problem is in these numbers...

What do you think?

You have the possibility to compare these numbers with HP Windows XP drivers?

I don't have access to the Windows XP driver settings, they are not as "readable" as Vista or Windows 7 gpd files.  The above figures are the page dimensions in units of 1/1200 ".  The top left of the page is (0,0).  In the example above the beginning of the printable area is 150 (83) or 0.125 "from left edge and 0.07" down from the top.  The lower edge of the printable area is the printable origin as well as the printable area.  "This ends (13269 + 83) / 1200 or 11,13", leaving a margin of 0.57 down "on A4 size paper.  Sounds a bit heavy, I think 0.46 "the bottom margin would be satisfactory.

The printible origin is the upper-left corner of the area to print in portrait mode, it would be the top right of the page if printing landscape.

If you want to "tweak" the DPG file I suggest to take a glance at the instructions to install the patch Vista Duplex printing here. Basically, you want to make a copy of the DPG file and make the necessary changes.  Then you will need to open an administrative command prompt, rename the original gpd file for backup and a copy of the new file.  You will need to stop the spooler, delete all the hp*.bud files, then restart the spooler.  This will cause the DPG file to read and bud files to regenerate.  The number you want to change would be the second number in the pair of the printable area.  You might try to increase the number of courses that move the margin from the bottom to the low 0.09 ", leaving a margin of 0.46 108 lower."  You can also experiment with other numbers, but at some point, you will hit the physical limit of the size of the paper.

  • Arrive not portable to print to Deskjet D2460 under Windows 7 (Vista upgrade)

I have an Advent laptop and am trying to print on a Deskjet D2460.  I have recently updated from Vista to Windows 7. Under Vista, I could print without any problems. However, everything that happens now is that the printer ejects a blank sheet of paper.

I have a PC with Windows 7 installed OEM - it also allows to print to the same printer without any problems.

I tried to use the same print drivers on both machines. I tried to allow Windows 7 to determine which driver to install on the laptop. I installed the extra HP patch (dot4patch.reboot.exe). All this without success.

I ran the HP Print Diagnostic Utility. That said, there's a conflict pilot. He me says uninstall, reboot and then let Windows 7 install the driver. What I've done. It still not print. I re - run the utility and got exactly the same diagnosis!

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

In case anyone is interested...  I've been advised by Microsoft to re - install Windows 7 using a clean installation. I've done this and can now print. (I also had another problem - (I couldn't disable the Touchpad) - which is also resolved.)

  • Can't install Deskjet 870cxi under Windows 7

My new PC is not a parallel printer port & the 870cxi isn't a USB key. To sort this out, I bought a USB parallel adapter, plugged in, but Windows 7 only, then recognizes 870cxi 'USB2.0 - Print', in the list 'Unspecified' devices, so it does not recognize it as a printer.  Try to install the drivers 870cxi in Windows 7 does not work, as the 870cxi does not appear in the list of HP printers.  Any ideas/suggestions?

    Thank you, Simon

Thanks for the post – I've been around this track already on the HP site?

I seem to have solved the problem now, but don't know how!  I thought that my USB cable to parallel might be at fault, so I used it to connect the 870cxi to a laptop running Vista, and it connected OK immediately.  On the Windows 7 Desktop, I went back and this time it loaded OK and now I can print again.  As I tried it about 3 times before, I don't know what "a right" this time!

  • Windows 7 infinite loop when using Robocopy

Your report of all Junction Points shows the junction:

    C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local directory

This junction creates a loop from the intersection of data Application goes back to AppData\Local which contains the output of Application data that...

This seems to be the loop that follows you Robocopy.  I think that Windows responds to the permissions defined for the junctions as a file search is not going in a loop with the standard permissions but ran in a loop when I changed the permissions for connecting Application data under my user while trying to find out what was going on in Windows 7 based on my knowledge of Window XP.  Without knowing the existence of junctions, I did not understand what were doing all of the apparent shortcuts.

I have fed up of my old Windows XP system and you can see why this junction is necessary.

For Windows 7, some of the application data AppData\Local.  For example, the Outlook.pst file is in AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.

For Windows XP, the .pst file is Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

Local settings is now a crossroads AppData/Local for Outlook will search the .pst file in AppData\Local\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.  This requires Application data in to be a hub to AppData\Local AppData\Local where the Microsoft\Outlook file.

It's even worse than just an infinite loop.  I tried Robocopy files from one PC has crashed with the system drive in a USB enclosure and copy all the files on my drive (c).  The USB (f) contains the Documents and Settings junction point, but it points to C:\Users. So my attempt to copy F:\Documents and Settings resulted in C:\Users copy instead. Now the target of the copy on my C: drive - which is intended to contain all the content of the disk (f) crashed, now contains the content of my directory of users.

I guess I can't delete Documents and Settings everywhere (including a USB key containing another image of the system) without deleting my C:\Users directory as well.

How can I clean the misleading Documents and Settings points that have been created by the robocopy junction?

  • OfficeJet 4630: anyone can print reliaby with Officejet 4630 under Windows 10 (64-bit) using wireless?

I have a couple of PCs.

    Both run Windows 10 (64-bit).

An upgrade from 8.1 64-bit. The other is Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit).

I bought Officejet 4630 at the end of September.

So far I have not been able to print from a reliable PC at all.

Sometimes maybe a page can be printed, but if I try the next page. The print queue seems to get hung.

Worse, on a PC (Win7 64-bit upgrade), I can not connect with USB at all.

Immediately after installing the driver, it fails to "print test page"? What gives?

(I have not tried the USB connection with other PCs through the situation. He's far away and so connected via radio.)

Strangely enough, it's the HP printing diagnostic seems to work perfectly. It prints the test page.

But, after a week of Calvary and see how works the test via the web interface, I now have the feeling that

HP diagnostics program simply sends a command that causes the printer to print a test page to itself, and not

through the path of ordinary driver through what print ordinary application data. It can be found.

Due to the failure of printing with a USB connection, I asked local HP support for replacement t

    hinking that unit was bad.

However, the replacement arrived today, but the same symptom!

    Agah.

I'm afraid that HP screwed royally here, but worse yet, it doesn't seem to be aware of the problem in the light of some

Reviews of so-called unconscious support people!

If someone has this printer works reliably on windows 10 64 - bit

Please let us know what you were doing. (although the chance that someone with perfect condition watch Forum HP may be low. You are posting and I read this forum because of problems...)

-How you installed the driver (from which source)

    -which tweaks you did.

I tried to install the OJ4630_198 and the driver is updated to Windows.

Windows Update seems to be a little better, but still stuck print jobs are seen after a few

tests and unnecessary. (Initially because of this apparent initial success, I thought that the problem was limited

so a PC, but now I think that both PC evenly suffer failure).

So far, I tried to change the PORT to a fixed TCP/IP address port (which sometimes seems to be feasible: sometimes not.) I was not able to understand why. Maybe the difference between HP driver or Windows update)

Sometimes after the Ministry of port, the first printing time works, but the

next print does not work.  It remains in the queue.

This has been driving me crazy...

If person not steps forward with the installation of reliable work (10, 64-bit windows), I think I'm going for it back to HP, although the initial cooling period has expired from a legal point of view, I'll see if I can convince the support contact.

I bought HP printers only over the years. They lasted well and worked like a charm, and the black ink was really nice.

After that, I can't printers recomment the HP to my friends more.

    TIA

[Driver in Deskjet 6980 works for printing with capricious 4630]

    Under improved Windows 10, too!

I checked it after upgrading my PC under Windows 7 64-bit of Windows 10.

After a few false starts, however, some programs are missing 'Dropbox' "Norton Internet Security" (?)

sort: I downloaded the binary Moose and once I let the Installer run again, they picked up the proper

configuration of the previous installation and started running.

I needed to tweak 'Register windows' but when I tried to run 'regedit' something 'Extended attributes are '.

inconsistent"and any program that requires administrative privilege would begin: maybe Dropbox and Norton Internet

Security has failed because of this issue. Surprisingly, I could fix this by restoring the default Windows theme.

(In my previous attempt to update, I put it to something Bing, a jazzy theme on the Japanese season, or something.

Affected and surprising finished showing 'Extended attributes are incompatible' (or you may need to

reset the sound theme as well. YMMV.) I raised this strange questions after the upgrade just in case

These problems are related to the Deskjet 6980 under Windows 7 64-bit driver installation before upgrading to Windows 10.

Somehow, however, the previous installation of the driver instance 4630 seems to have disappeared (maybe I deleted it before

the upgrade, I don't know.) So I install driver 4630 for * SCANNING * purposes only.

    FAX can wait a while.

Finally, some working environment for Officejet 4630 with using the Deskjet 6980 driver for printing

    is being created.

  • Advanced Power Management under Windows 98SE for Satellite A75-S206?

On my Satellite A75-S206, I have a partition on my hard drive under Windows 98SE.

When I run Windows 98 on this model, the drive keeps spinning (does not turn down), the cooling fan is still running at high speed, I can't dim the monitor, or use any other feature of the advanced power management is available when running my XP partition. The utility of generic power in my Windows 98SE (Intel speed step) management does not address these problems, even if you use custom settings. The management utilities peak power supplied with recovery for this model CD only work on XP or Windows 2000, and these advanced power management utilities will not install on Windows 98.

Is there a driver download, or is there software available for Windows 98SE downloads emulate advanced power management features that work on XP? Is there another workaround solution?

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

company that created the driver and more.

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

I used the hp print and scan doctor telling me to connect the printer to the computer windows 7 via usb first to extract and install the drivers for windows 7 OS.

What I did, but how you can spot Windows OS printer drivers once re, the printer is connected to the windows xp computer

    Hi Jason,

Thank you for your help. I managed on the basis to solve the problem by following these steps.

I installed the printer deskjet 990c on the computer windows XP windows drivers (even if the printer is a deskjet 5652.

I shared the printer deskjet 990c on the network. I then installed the printer Deskjet 990c by adding a network printer on the computer windows 7. It extracted the drivers of 990c and the problem is solved. I am now able to print from my computer windows 7, fool the computer on which it is printing to the printer of 990c although it is in fact the 5652 printer printing.

  • HP deskjet 5150 - failure sudden print under Windows 7

I've been running a printer HP Deskjet 5150 with Windows 7 for two years now without a problem (and for several years before in XP). Suddenly, it ceased to print from my desktop computer but continues to work away happily from my laptop (which is still running on XP).  When I select a file to print from office model, the printer comes to life (lights flashing etc.) but nothing is displayed. On the Control Panel, it says that it is there no ducuments in the queue.  I reloaded the driver etc. and used installation HP doctor, but all without result: none can detect defects.  But in trying different routes of troubleshooting, I find that the "Print test Page" function works as long as necessary the office, then it seems that nothing wrong with the printer functionally.   (But "print test page" in the installation of doctor HP is not working!)

I saw only two error messages: once I got an error message that read something like "this program has encountered an error and is unable to act" and a second, some time later, said "cannot print scripts on this page.  They lead me to suspect that the problem lies somewhere with the Windows software.  The firewall in use is BitDefender, but disable this does not solve the problem.  Can anyone help?

Sand Piper, to start sounds like it is a driver problem. I want to start to be sure that deleting the software and relocation happened in the best way possible. I want you to follow my steps, I can be sure that we start both on the same page.

  • Security strategy when you take a PC under Windows 8 at the repairman

I need to take a PC under Windows 8 for repair of equipment but the repairman must connect to the new hardware configuration and check it works. I suspect he will need admin access. But I'm not sure how to secure my PC and accounts, because...

    • The PC is a Windows 8 PC which I normally connect using an account take.
    • This connection also allows access to my based outlook.com e-mail and other Microsoft services that use the same connection as my Contacts Outlook.com
    • I used the same credentials to buy Office 365 Home Premium so the same credentials allow access to 5 2013 office facilities
    • and the same credentials provide access to the administration of my Microsoft account. If someone could change the identification information so that I can not even log in to regain control of my services.

Of course, in the past when I got a PC for repair, my local data has been exposed but not my services.

I was wondering whether to add a local account with Admin Access (which in my opinion, the repairer will have to) but was not clear if an admin user can still access all of the above.

And I was wondering if there was another way to reset my PC without access to the credentials for both services.

So, what would you do to ensure such a PC and its associated services during the passage of the PC temporarily to someone else as a repairman it please?

Thanks for the tips you may have.

    Kevin

    Hi Kilucas,

What is the brand and model of the computer?

The data on the hard disk may be exposed to others, you can back up the data on an external drive and remove the internal order data. This way you are sure that no one would have access to your data. Once the computer is back from the tech shop, you can transfer the data.

As technology person shop will use a local account with admin access not worry your Microsoft account. If someone wants to access your data on the Microsoft account, then they need to connect to your account using your credentials.

Your account is always sure that anyone else must of the Microsoft account credentials to access your data. Since you share this information with anyone, you need not worry.

For the repairman works on your computer, you can create a local account with admin access.

As you mentioned that new hardware is getting set up there might be chances that prompt for activation can be triggered. If you have a computer with Windows 8 pre-installed, you must contact the manufacturer of the computer for the responsive computer. If you have installed Windows 8 then you will need to contact the Microsoft activation of phone service for your copy of Windows 8 active.

    Hi Paul,.

This article was created when users have faced problem with old drivers for AMD graphics card.

Yes, you can upgrade to the last 16.1 pilots and who should work well however, you should have 1 GB VRAM or more to take advantage of the GPU processors.

  • I installed 4 ADE on a second PC under windows 7. Despite the fact that the authorization of the machine shows my Adobe ID I can't open my books. When I try to efffacer This adobe successfully tells me 'Impossible to cancel the authorization '.

I installed 4 ADE on a second PC under windows 7. Despite the fact that the authorization of the machine shows my Adobe ID I can't open my books. When I try to erase this adobe authorization tells me "unable to cancel the authorization. Please as later". What I've been doing for 3 days without result.

If for some reason you cannot withdraw the authorization of ADE, follow the steps below:

    Windows:

    Click Start > run.

Open, type regedit in the text box and press ENTER. The Registry Editor opens.

In the left pane of the registry editor, find the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

Right click on the key to the follower, and then choose Remove.

In the dialog box confirm the key deletion, click OK.

    Your permission is removed.

    ADE will be cancelled now.

    Now allow ADE new.

  • DeskJet F380 print only page 1 - only when the first powered

I work under Windows 7. I checked the toner level - not low; cleaning cartridges does not help.  When the power is turned on, the first page prints ok, not strong. The following pages, it acts like it is printing but prints pages white, totally clean.

Thanks for your suggestions.  I wonder if it's time for a new printer.

    Hi pablu,.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see you are having some problems printing with Deskjet F380.
I'll be happy to help you.

I would disable all the start up programs to make sure that something in the background is not cause printing problems.

Go to start, run, type msconfig, click on the Services tab.
Click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box.
    Click Disable all.

Click on the tab at the top of the page, select Disable all the startup, apply, OK and restart the computer.

    Temporary disable all Antivirus software.

    Then try to print again.

You will need to go back and allow all when done and turn on the Antivirus software.

Let me know how it goes and we'll go from there.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
