  Hi, I have a laptop Toshiba Equium A300D - 16 c.

  It was fine until now...

  When I press the power button, my laptop turns on but the screen remains black / off.
  The indicator disk HARD is not Flash or anything... (in case that helps)
  I also tried to remove the battery, hold the power button for 30 seconds and then reconnect the power cord... Same laptop turns on but the screen is black.

  I tried to connect my laptop to my PC using a HDMI cable screen, but without success... Laptop turned on but monitor my pc showed nothing.

  I have not changed anything inside my computer laptop or unscrewed it.

  PS:
  Quite often, I kept my laptop on the bed/pillow it may have something to do with overheating or something.

  Long ago, I had similar problem on my old Satellite. CPU was faulty. After replacing the CPU, everything was OK again.

  Maybe you should contact Toshiba and let check your laptop. They have diagnostic tools and may know what is the problem.

  I am user and owner of a Satellite A200 - 23Q. The last few days, my laptop appears a certain problem. Its kinda does not. When I press the power button / stop, screens appears nothing, not even loading BIOS or something, even if the hard drive and power satellite (bottom left) turns on.   Your external HARD drive may have failed.  Open utility disk, then run first aid > Verify and Repair the disk.

• My Computer folder appears empty. It gives no error or does not show anything.

• Laptop does not do anything except in safe mode!

  My laptop has something wrong with it. It allows me to open some things, but when it comes to the final click it wont run anything, I just get the mouse icon timer! All my security is disabled and I can't go online. The only way I can do anything is in safe mode.   In a dark room, boot up your laptop and shine a flashlight on the LCD screen.

  If you see a very dark Windows desktop, then you have the chance.

  The backlight inverter has failed and must be replaced. If you are a kind of DIY user, then this is a repair at low cost. If this is not the case, have done so in a store could cost @ $75.00.

  If you still don't see anything then the LCD failed. It is a more expensive repair.
