  • DV6409ca No. Wireless and three device Base system in the Device Manager

I have a DV6409ca SNcnf73202t7 and ran Windows XP on it flawlessly for about a year.

Last night I asked my laptop and this morning I woke up to the orange light of death on the front of the computer for the wireless and three newspapers of device Base system in the Device Manager. They run:

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 3

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 2

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 4

I tried making restoration of the system, the removal of the chipset drivers / wireless/network and reinstall in safe mode and the search for solutions to many other people tried to make their wireless work.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Hello:

You must download and install the Ricoh 5-in-1 card reader driver support for your laptop and driver page.

Go to Device Manager and expand network adapters.

Is the model of your wireless poster card he or she has completely disappeared from the Device Manager, does not come under the section of the network cards, or in the General list of devices such as a network controller?

If she disappeared from the view, 99% chance the connection from the motherboard to the card slot plugs into is fried.

This is a very common problem with the dv6000/dv9000 models.

    Hello

You updated the BIOS and motherboard (chipset drivers)? All device drivers? By checking
    manually on the link above?

If so you need to contact the Sony Support as the error is in the provided OEM drivers and not
    Windows 7.

  • Base system - missing drivers device

    Hello

I have a ProBook 6560 b and a ProBook 5330 m, they are both new and I just installed WIN PRO 7 SP1 32 - BIT on them and Office 2010, no other software so far.

The problem is that the two laptops display the 'Base system device' under 'Other devices' in Device Manager. The difficulty is to know what drivers are missing. In addition, the 6560 b docking station doesn't seem to work correctly, some USB ports do not charge and the audio port does not work either. I have a secondary screen connected via DVI and that works very well, also portable across it costs too.

Any ideas on how I can answer these questions will be very appreciatted.

    Kind regards

    Hello:

I would setup the driver chipset first if you have not already done so.

For basic system devices, you need the card reader driver.

For any other device that requires drivers (such as strangers), go to the Device Manager and click on each of them, one at a time.

Then click on the Details tab.

There, you will now see a drop-down list of properties. Drop down on it and select the second element (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window for each device.

Those who will be ID, type, and model devices and I can send you the links to the drivers you need.

If after you have installed all the drivers, your docking station does not, I suggest that to start a new thread for the docking station does not.

I never use a docking station so I have not a clue how to go about solving the case.

I hope this problem with the chipset drivers.

I have a SL400 and upgraded to windows 7, sold separately, as I bought before June 29, 2009. I installed the op system and 4.0 thinkvantage system update to install the drivers. Just fine, except 1 thing (actually 2) as Device Manager indicates that it y 2 missing drivers, poster-->--> Device(this displayed 2 times one under like 2 drivers are missing) Base system devices. I don't really know what devices here as it is not indicated. The other problem is that the volume buttons do not work. It is more updated available through the TVT system so update... No idea what can be the problem?

    Thank you

  • HP Elitebook 8570W: driver problem: other devices - device base system and unknown device.

    Hi guys,.

After doing a clean update on my HP elitebook 8570W I had a few unknown devices in my device manager.

The first is a device called "base system" in PCI Slot 2 (bus PCI 36, device 0, function 1). I tried everything in my ability to determine what is this device and what drivers to install, so far without success.

In the same section. other devices, there is another unknown device on PCI Express Root complex that gives me the same headache.

I hope you guys can help me understand this.

If you need further information, I will be happy to provide that.

    Kind regards

    Didier

    Hello:

The base system device is certainly the JMicron card reader needs the driver, not the alcor one.

    You need this driver...

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=5257503 & swItemId = ob_124666_1 & swEnvOid = 4158

If the driver above does not installing it automatically, try to install manually.

To manually install the driver, go to Device Manager, click the Base system device.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.   Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

The file is located in C:\SWSetup\sp63637

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see the driver installs like that.

I have a HP Pavilion dv9720us which was very glitch with Vista 32 bit.  After saving all on an external hard drive from Seagate Replica, I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit.  Everything seems to work, but I get error messages stating that the x 2 Base system device is not working because it doesn't have the correct driver, the coprocessor is also mentioned as not having not the correct driver.  All 3 of these devices are listed in the other devices category in Device Manager.   In addition, my laptop has 4 GB of RAM and still Windows 7 recognizes only 2 GB.  Help!  I deliberately enhanced to reduce the glitchy Vista answers. I could go on Windows 7 32 bit, but I don't know who's going to solve all my problems.

Remove your Ram and install it again.

    Notes:

    1. ensure that, then you have no battery or ac adapter connected to your laptop.

2 Manufacter installed in this model 2048 MB of Ram (2 GB), so if you have not added 2 GB on your own all is ok.

There will always be problems and your really have 4 GB:

You check Ram with Memtest86 + or GoldMemory. Just burn it on CD *.iso file and run the test. You may need to change the boot sequence in the Bios (to get the BIOS press F10 boot).
