Device Manager says no driver base system, no driver of coprocesser

I have a HP Pavilion DV6707 entertainment notebook, AMD Athlonx2 64 processors and using Win Vista. Also, NVidia Geforce Go 7150 M graphics card with video memory shared to 799. My computer man put in a new hard drive for me and installed Win7 home Professor, thought, he'd a beautiful big favor. Now in Device Manager, it now shows the yellow triangle of Base and by the Co processor under that system. I searched HP as Nvidia me returned to the manufacturer to find the specific motherboard and or drivers. HP has no win7 64 bit drivers for this mother on board only the Win Vista drivers.  I downloaded the Vista 34 bit driver to a file, but of course Im afraid to try to install. Can a d/l old Win Vista and install with the key on the bottom of my computer? If I do that I will lose all my stuff I've accumulated so far on my computer? All in all I don't see where the lack of driver for this has affected the use of this computer.

According to the hardware Id , the device is a Ricoh card reader then try the following:

To the question of the Synaptics touchpad, you can try the generic Synaptics driver and see if it works better:

  • How can I get my fixed CD drive? Device Manager says "Driver may be corrupted or missing" B

How can I get my fixed CD drive? Device Manager says 'driver may be corrupted or missing.

But when I click on update driver it says "your driver is up to date" and refuses to fix it.

    Hello:

I found this link where a person fixed a similar problem with editing the registry.

Make sure that you back up all personal files you do not lose to a portable hard drive and create a restore point by using System Restore utility first, because editing the registry might cause some problems with your PC, also do not start and you have to reinstall the operating system.

    Hi Syed,

Thanks for the reply with the status of the issue.

I suggest you try to install the drivers for Windows 7 in compatibility mode and check if it works for you. I saw this troubleshooting procedure described working for other members of the community.

Step 1: Download the driver for the Webcam from this link of Lenovo.

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS015018

Step 2: Installing the driver in compatibility mode.

Make the programs more compatible with this version of Windows:

    Hi twoiron,

    • You are able to access the other USB devices on the computer?

See the link below and run the Fixit tool available, check if it helps.

A computer that is running Windows XP cannot detect a USB, an Apple iPod flash drive or an external hard disk drive

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/925196

If him above fails tool Fixit check if the player is detected in disk management and has a drive letter assigned.

    To open disk management

    (a) from the start menu, click Run.

    (b) in the Open box, type diskmgmt.msc, and then click OK.

If the drive is detected in disk management and the drive letter is missing, then assign a drive letter to the drive and check if that helps.

  • WALKMAN NWZ-S545 gives error cannot start (error 10) device in the Device Manager (and not driver for this device found)

Under Xp (sp3), Device Manager gives me an error for a Walkman NWZ-S545.  XP sees it as a MTP device, but it does not start.  The Device Manager will give me 2 error messages: device will not start (code 10) not and no driver not found for this device.  The walkman works very well with my other machines on the LAN XP but naturally one that I run my media (a all my MP3 etc.) is the one that has the error.  All of my PC are almost identical (with the exception of the server, duh).  I changed USB ports, uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, called SONY to dozens of times, nothing works.  Is a service not started that must be, a driver damaged, what?  Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hello

I suggest you run the fix that is present in the link below then connect the Walkman on the system and see if the problem is resolved.

  • I got a virus and now I have no sound. My device manager says that I don't have. I don't know how to solve this problem.

I have no sound.  I went to my device manager and it says that I have not installed.  I'm not very computer, so I have no idea where to go from here.  If someone could help me I would be very happy!

    Hi ShariKB,

    ·         What is the exact error message in Device Manager?

    ·         How long have you been faced with this problem?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You have security software installed on your computer?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps in the Microsoft article and check if it helps.

    No sound in Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/no-sound-in-Windows

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malware

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

    Hope this information helps.

  • Drivers on Device Manager say they are up to date but I'm getting reports that my network cards not upward to date and my NVIDIA and other drivers? especially from NVidia

If you have a finder driver installed, uninstall it. Very often, they find the correct manufacturer drivers but only suitable for revisions to material beyond the stuff in your own computer.

  • My usb port does not work. Device Manager says he has a "code 10".

My dad recently bought a laptop on ebay. It's a HP Omnibook 900 with a 4 GB HD. The previous owner had improved from the original from Windows 98 to XP with SP3.

It has a USB port in the back & it does not work!

In fact it is not even appear in the Device Manager! I need to select 'Show hidden devices' to see same the USB hub root. The USB port has a yellow warning icon. In properties, it indicates the port is enabled but does not work because of a "Code 10".

What the devil is a "code 10" & how in the heck to solve this problem, so that the USB works?

The port is powered. When I connect devices usb load they turn on & load, but, of course, are not displayed on the computer. My best theory is that the port can be usb 1.0 but the software is intended for usb 2.0 and what could be the cause of the problem. That's just guessing on my part because I do not know with certainty if the usb is 1.0 or 2.0.

It is especialy boring being the only external devices can I plug a CD player (unwritten) & a floppy drive. It would make my life much more pleasant if I could run software, backup & file transfer, etc. with a usb drive instead! It could even than the laptop quite useful to be worth the bucks thirties, my father paid for it!

    Help, please. Thank you.

    Hi SnarFoo,

    Method1

The Code 10 error code is generated when Device Manager it has not enough information or error that has spread upward through the device drivers is not recognised by the Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.

See the article and check if that helps.

Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then remove and reinstall all USB controllers on the computer and check if that helps.

To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

    (a) click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.

    (b) click on the hardware tab.

    (c) click the Device Manager button.

    (d) expand Bus USB controllers.

    (e) right click on each device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.

    (f) restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.

    (g) connect the removable USB storage device and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

    Hello

    1. What is the exact error message you get?

2 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to run the checker system files scan as an administrator and a Coachman.

    (a) click on Start

This could happen if one of the substantive programmes is in conflict with the proper functioning of your computer. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.
