DG Broker Configuration to dest_2

I have a (simple) question regarding using the DG broker and by setting the DEST_2, DEST_3 locations.
Oracle 11.2

This is if the DEST_2 must include a 'service' in its location?

We have a database of the production configured with DG broker and on the production side, the game of DEST_2 to use the service.
However, on the basis of data pending, it doesn't have a service defined in the location of DEST_2.

Also, on the primary side, it has a physical location defined for dest_3, but in sleep mode, it is empty and poorly defined at all.

Hello;

Yes, the installation of the standby program is incomplete without a DEST_2 framework. He won't be ready to assume the lead role in the case of a failover. Data broker will usually add DEST_3.

Two won't be able to work in both roles without a 'service' in the location of the database.

If it helps, my installation notes:

This is the desired Oracle document:

  • an impact on the passage of the Broker Configuration files

    Hello

    I have setup a datagaurd for my RAC - ASM production database.
    The backup database is on ASM and RAC
    but now I have this error
    ORA-16637: an instance could not access the Data Guard broker configuration

    I realized that the
    DG_BROKER_CONFIG_FILE1
    DG_BROKER_CONFIG_FILE1
    point to a file on the file system.
    I realized that I need to stop the broker and move the files to the location of the ASM so both my production instance sees the same broker configuration file.

    But now I want to know if by stopping the process broker and move the files to another location and begin the process of broker, will be this aything affect with dataguard Setup.
    in other words, moving the broker configuration files, am I break anything with installing dataguard.
    do I have to re - configure the installer of all datagaurd by moving the files to the broker.

    Thanks in advance.

    No, it will leave the current parameters of work and then when it starts up again once he sees that everything is just as it should. Simply not make a move to the middle.

    If you are worried, you can always drop configuration broker preserving destinations, stop the broker, move files, and re-enable the broker and re-create the configuration but I think it's exaggerated.

  • DG broker configuration file not created at the backup site

    Hello

    I try to configure dataguard for db (10.2.0.1) primary, standby is created as stby

    I configured a third node to the observer, I did the TNS entires and verified connectivity

    When I expressed

    ALTER system set dg_broker_start = True scope = both;

    on both nodes, the configuration files have been created at the primary site

    SQL > show parameter DG_BROKER_CONFIG

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME
    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
    dg_broker_config_file1 string C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\DB_1\
    DATABASE\DR1PRIMARY. A3
    dg_broker_config_file2 string C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\DB_1\
    DATABASE\DR2PRIMARY. A3

    I checked the

    but the stby node

    SQL > show parameter DG_BROKER_CONFIG

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME
    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
    dg_broker_config_file1 string C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\DB_1\
    DATABASE\DR1STBY. A3
    dg_broker_config_file2 string C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\DB_1\
    DATABASE\DR2STBY. A3

    There is no config file even though the parameter gives suggests that it had been created

    how I created these files

    without them I won't be able to add stby on the watcher node

    The config seems mostly OK. Suggest you add another roll forward Eve sign in primary and standby, then switch connects to the primary and see what you get errors.

    Hello

    Is it possible to add two or several primary and physical databases configuration ensures in data guard broker?

    I have 1 primary databases and two databases physical standby that is

    (1) primary that is pri - (database primary)

    (2) secondary i, e, s (physical pending)

    (3) Secondary2 i.e. sec2 (physical pending)

    Practical AM sinister place, my scenario is my pri and dry machines are in seat, if the pri crashed it switch to s that works very well and my S2 is in another area office. Suppose that if my two siege machines pri and sec crashed, so I want to do my mahcine sec2 as primary.

    I have two separate computers to the broker a headquarters and a District Office

    Use failure of quick start on Data Guard Broker, broker headquarters machine I have configured pri and dry but in sector office broker not able congifured pri and S2 and the machine.

    can be done several primary database configuration with data bases on hold?

    Has anyone done this before, or has a perform a recovery after loss of place...

    need help or suggestion

    thanx

    No.... It is not possible. When you use the DG broker, the first thing you can do in the DGMGRL utility is to deliver CONFIGURATION to CREATE. You can see on the doc of this command that you define here the PRIMARY DATABASE.

    The command to add a DATABASE to the broker, adds a new database pending. You cannot add an another primary.

    The broker configuration is explicitly for a primary and all standby databases is supported. If you have an another primary, you create a separate DG broker configuration.

    See you soon,.

  • How to configure Integration Broker Quick Setup 'Domain' section?

    People,

    Hello. I just started to configure Integration Broker to use the Web Service. In PeopleTool-> Quick Integration Broker Configuration page, I type Gateway URL and ping Bridge, it runs successfully.

    But we have to type in the name of the computer in the section 'Domain', 'localhost' and the path to the Application Server. I click anywhere in this section but no place can be typed in values. Any folk that understand how to set "Integration Broker Configuration quick page Section area?

    Thank you.

    If you publish/subscribe servers configured on your application server domain, then it automatically fills the field page. If you have 2 running of pub/sub domains you can choose that one activates and the other can be inactive.

    After your domain status and URL of gateway, u might want to goto advanced gateway properties page and write the name of your application server and the port of Jolt on which it will run. u need a PSIB (PeopleSoft Integration Broker) account with the password. It is also used on your local node authentication type.

    Please update the request if you need assistance. Thank you!

  • configuration of the broker executing the primary instance on pfile

    Hello

    I have a primary production on the RAC 1 node and node 2. Node 1 race on pfile and spfile 2 operation node. We are not able to switch the node 1 to spfile until the next maintenance period.
    I have the Dataguard on non-RAC and ASM.
    Now, even with the node Configuration the configuration of the Broker / 1 running on pfile, can I go ahead.
    For the moment because I have node on pfile 1, I did not put the broker configuration and I only put the DataGuard
    ALTER database recover managed standby database disconnect;
    and not in real time with current logfile, and disconnector
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 = "service = afcp1 ARCH ASYNC NOAFFIRM valid_for = (online_logfile, primary_role)'"

    My question is with node 1 of pfile, can I still go ahead and set up the configuration of broker as well as make real-time
    alter database recover managed standby database current logfile disconnect;
    and...
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 = "service = afcp1 LGWR ASYNC NOAFFIRM valid_for = (online_logfile, primary_role)'"

    Can someone help me understand.

    Thanks in advance.

    You cannot configure the Data Guard Broker until all RAC instances use the same SPFILE. And the broker configuration files should be visible through the RAC as well. (You cannot have copies the files to the broker for all RAC). So until you get them all on the SPFILE, you need to configure Data Guard using SQLPlus according to the manual. You have to just be careful and make sure that Data Guard settings are exactly the same on both primary RAC nodes.

    What you have shown here is the log_archive_dest_2 of the primary database. You must clear the log_archive_dest_2 of the standby database too.

    The error is speaking on the parameter log_archive_dest_2 of the database pending. 12 c, then the broker configuration, you must clear the log_archive_dest_2 (destinations archive remote) on the primary and standby databases. DG broker would take care of her.

    On autonomy in standby:

    SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest_2 = ";

    And then try to add the standby database to the broker configuration.

    It should be the primary db_unique_name and its connection string (the NET alias name).

    In your case, it would be like:

    DGMGRL > create configuration as primary database is "pdb3" connect identifier is to_pdtdb03.

    Can someone give me a hand

    Christian

    Log_archive_dest_n manual management (and other DG Associates init parameters) and using Data Guard Broker to manage automatically these settings is not the right way (it may cause inconsistency between the spfile and broker configuration files).
    You must clear the log_archive_dest_n parameters defined with the attribute of SERVICE and without NOREGISTER attribute, and then try to create the broker configuration (it will automatically set the log_archive_dest_n when you add a database to the configuration).

    When you use data guard broker always make your changes through DGMGRL for consistency purposes.

    Right after the validation, I realized that the problem was due to a problem with the appointment of the URL

    1. on the side of his, identity management settings for configuring endpoint must be
    http://PeopleSoftWebServer:port/PSIGW/PeopleSoft * Service * ListeningConnector

    2. on the Integration broker--> Configuration--> is the url for gateways
    http://PeopleSoftWebServer:port/PSIGW/PeopleSoftListeningConnector

    3. on the Integration broker--> Configuration-->--> target locations Setup Service Configuration, the URL must be the same as 1
    http://PeopleSoftWebServer:port/PSIGW/PeopleSoft * Service * ListeningConnector

    The URL for 1 and 3 has the word Service in.

    This solves the problem for me. I have updated the case oracle so to reflect this. I hope this will solve your problem as well.

    Hello
    This is the real situation. First pass at the Stand By and Stand By unauthorized.

    A few steps to make the transition to digital:

    -If YOU do not THE BROKER CONFIGURED:

    VALIDATE PRIMARY AND STANDBY

    SQL > select db_unique_name, open_mode, database_role, v database name $;

    VALIDATE THE LGWR APPLY (ON ALL THE NŒUDS IN THE CASE OF CARS)

    ARCH: End-of-Redo archive thread 1 sequence 329 branch
    ARCH: LGWR is actively archiving destination LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2

    VALIDATE THE MOVE TO STANDBY STATUS (SHOULD BE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)

    SQL > SELECT switchover_status from v$ database;

    SWITCHOVER_STATUS

    AT THE ELEMENTARY LEVEL

    VALIDATE THE TRANSITION TO THE STATUS OF PRIMARY EDUCATION (SHOULD BE NECESSARY RECOVERY)

    SQL > SELECT switchover_status from v$ database;

    RECOVERY NEEDED

    ENGAGE THE STANDBY TO PRIMARY

    SQL > ALTER DATABASE COMMIT TO THE MOVE TO THE PRIMARY WITH THE STOP OF THE SESSION;

    Just to remind: to THE RESCUE of the ROLES, you just need to do the reverse procedure.

    As I said above, there are a lot of steps, you must configure the DG and the BROKER, however, the DIGITAL switchover process is basically that I describe above.

    It may be useful

  • DataGuard problems, bad to the log_archive_dest_2 port configuration

    Hello! Thank you all in advance for your help and sorry for my English, I will try to explain as best as possible.

    We have a dataguard.

    It has two headphones, the ports are 1534 and 1544, but... someone changed their 1535 once there is and now I had to re-set up everything again.

    The thing is log_archive_dest_2 at the elementary level is wrong, because it points to instead of 1534-1535. I tried to edit init.ora and restart the instance but it always points to 1535 again.

    I don't know if this setting depends on the other, or there is a hidden configuration, I don't see

    I have recreated the password file in the primary and copy it to the secondary, after that I restarted both cases, but nothing

    No sense to me. Do you have a rebuild on my system and was not able to reproduce.

    At this point, I would like to grep for the problem (change of wider path if necessary)

    grep 1535 -R /opt/oracle/*

    I hate when it makes no sense. There must be somewhere.

    Best regards

    Subsequently

    I was thinking about it more. If you have a data broker, they can change the database settings. Any change of this?

    I see this in your settings file that supports this theory

    *.dg_broker_start=TRUE

    Any set of values in Data Guard Broker wins the spfile parameter. So no matter what you the SPFILE and PFILE broker file overwrites.

    How to remove safely a Data Guard Broker Configuration [261336.1 ID]

    Or modify the 'StaticConnectIdentifier' proposal the data broker. See doc Oracle E17023-04

    "6 scenarios using the DGMGRL command-line Interface"

    Example of

    DGMGRL> edit instance dg112i2 on database dg112i_prm set PROPERTY StaticConnectIdentifier = '(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=192.168.11.225)(PORT=1555))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=DG112I_PRM_DGMGRL.au.oracle.com)(INSTANCE_NAME=dg112i1)(SERVER=DEDICATED)))';

    See data physical custody shall 11.2 primary RAC RAC standby using a second network [1349977.1 ID]

  • Roll forward standby with RMAN incremental backup when used DG broker

    Hello

    I'm about to use the process defined in the note: steps to roll forward a database ensures the RMAN incremental backup using during primaries and Eve are in the file [836986.1 ID] ASM system. I'm on 11.1.0.7.

    However, it does not mention the DataGuard broker.
    Did someone played this process when you use the broker.
    The broker he manages properly?
    Does it matter if the broker is upwards or downwards during the physical recovery of standby or replacement of control file?
    Should the broker configuration be re-created?

    Thank you.

    (1) disable the broker
    (2) perform the Roll forard SNA.
    (3) select the broker
