Big Dave.

How can I ever thank you enough! Make the partition active allowed us to get the factory settings.

But he did a little accident due I think to a bad part of the memory.

We did a few reboots and he did it through the complete installation. It is now downloading updates.

I couldn't usb at startup to check memory. Is there another way to do now that we have the original Vista Home Premium installed?

Hello, I was surfing on facebook, and the laptop froze with a blue screen. I tried to restart a couple of times, but the computer froze at the windows screen. Also tried with all disconnect.

  • Satellite A200 won't Hibernate

    Hello!

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite A200. When I try to Hibernate it just switch off and do nothing. I read that there is a problem with some Intel drivers, but I don't know who exactly and I do not know how to upgrade too: (.) Can someone help me?

    10 x in advance!

This can result from many things, or a bad printer driver USB, Antivirus software, trying to find a disk, a network problem.

First of all, you must update the BIOS and see if that helps.

To identify the problem, run msconfig and disable the Reboot tab startup items and test the hibernation.
If hibernation now works, you can identify the problem by turning off just half of the elements, then try a quarter, then an eighth and so on...

Also in msconfig, under the general tab, select 'diagnostic startup' and restart.

  • Equium L40-10 X - full restore Windows OS does not work.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help?

After a few years of slight abuse by my son studying the PC needs a re build from scratch (a Trojan horse, blue screens all the time etc. etc.).

The useful to the world guys PC told me how to access the System Recovery Options. However, when I try to select the option 'Restore the full Windows operating system', I get another box of Toshiba, warning that all files will be lost etc. When I click OK on this button the box disappears, but nothing happens - it just brings back me to the system again Recovery Options menu.

    Operating system is Vista.

The memory diagnostic & startup repair options work fine.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Ed

    Strange

Generally, the recovery process should start automatically boot from the disc.
You simply follow the instructions on the screen.
After you have clicked on the OK button, the restoration process should start.

    Please repeat this procedure.

What of the HARD drive? It is ok and it is recognized in the BIOS correctly?

  • can't connect to windows cuz fingerpreint does not work

    Hey guys

Since I clicked on diagnostic startup in msconfig and restarted my laptop (which is pavilion dv6 1390), I can't get through the windows log in the page cuz fingerprint reader does not work and I have fogot my password.btw for more information the speaker be rocking in this page.

pls help me with this its driving me crazy

    BTW, the p/n is vj685ea #abv

    Hello

Since the finger print reader does not and you have forgotten the password, you will need to reinstall the OS back to Windows that you are using Windows 7, in which you cannot reset the password until you have another administrator account.

So once you reinstall the operating system, your computer will be set to the first day and you will lose all the data stored in the device or when running the system recovery, you can back up data by using the backup and then perform a system recovery.

  • ProBook 455 G1: "Osoitin ei kelpaa" error ("invalid pointer") shown in trying to open a session

    Hello

I'm computer fixing of my mother-in-law. The problem is the following: once installed it updates and phone rebooted it couldn't connect because the screen started to Flash (i.e. turning black and then show the new login screen). I start the computer in safe mode and loaded the last restore point. However, now I am unable to connect because once I selected (only one available) account in the login screen is shown a different login screen. "Another user" text ("Korean kayttaja" in Finnish) is on the logo and message 'check' password ("Tarkista salasana" in Finnish) under him. Below are the fields id and user password. ID field is prepopulated with his user name. After I typed his password a "invalid pointer" error ("Osoitin ei kelpaa" in Finnish) is shown.  Therefore, I can only connect in safe mode.

I checked the most recent restore points and seems that there are a lot of updates until the original flashing problem has occurred. I tried to restore but restore points not chance.

I found this solution while Googling autour:

    ' 1) safe boot mode.

    (2) run MSConfig

    (3) select the Diagnostic startup option on the general tab

    restarting...

you will get a "generic" windows login screen and be able to get your desktop... but almost all the services will be disabled and stopped, so will not work

    (4) open Services.msc, find and double-click the Windows Installer, manual exchange service and run...

(this will allow you to uninstall programs)

    (5) Control Panel, programs and features

    (6) uninstall the HP software: file sanitizer, drive encryption, Manager access of devices and finally Client Security Manager (it is the security that must be uninstalled, but others must be removed first) - I chose the option "do not save stored configurations" (because I believe this is what is actually prescription foo ("pointers" between user names) passwords and settings stored fingerprints database)).

    (7) MSConfig again, change the Normal start".

(EDITED ON10.9.2015. Thanks rcoffey69 for the tip!)

If you cannot remove the Manager of HP devices access to step 6:

    7) go to control panel > remove programs and instead of delete access Device Manager, choose 'repair '.

    (8) restart and go into safe mode.

    (9) run MSConfig and change Normal startup, restart.

    (10) connection to normal mode and now you should be able to remove the HP device access Manager, restart.

    (11) remove Client Security Manager, choose 'do not save stored configurations', restart.

Now everything should work ok again.  Don't panic if you see errors when trying to log on after step 10. You should still be able to connect. In fact, you might be able to uninstall HP device manager access (+ Manager client security) right after step 7 without the need to reboot in normal mode (?) I did not try it.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (Former message):

However, I can not remove the HP device access Manager because it displays an error message (translated version): "1720 error: there is a problem with the Windows Installer package." A script required for installation to complete could not be run. Contact your provider to support personal or package. Custom action script-2147023838 error UninstallDriverFromINF. Line 10. Column 2.

This is why I can't delete the client security manager that is probably causing this problem.  I tried to remove it by using Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, but it did not help. Anyone know how to get rid of HP Device Access Manager so that I can remove HP Client Manager Security? )

  • X120e - Help! BIOS problems!

    Hi again,

I'm getting some strange behaviour in the bios. One of them is that I can not activate the AMD V (TM) technology. I allow it, save the changes and reboot. The value is returned to the people with reduced mobility.

Also, sometimes I lose some of the tabs in the bios, which is the Startup tab. I have to Load Setup Defaults to have that tab back, although I did not change in the bios.

Another thing is that I can't get the boot of diagnosis. I always get the quick start (with the lenovo logo). Cannot enable the diagnostic startup.

What is going on? Is the bios software buggy, or my Board is saying 'goodbye '?

  • 79:04 HP T1100 error, the firmware update

    Can someone please help, please!

How to upgrade the firmware on a T1100 Printer start diagnostic mode. The printer as a 79:04 at startup error.

Found this on the hp forum

"start up the printer in diagnostic startup Mode.

To do this, a special file and a special method of upgrade will be needed. You can find specific information for the model of the printer you are troubleshooting on page 13: Schedule A in the attached white paper. »

Can someone point me in the direction of this white paper.

    Thank you

You will need to contact HP directly to get a version of the firmware plt to complete this process.  Usually the error code means either your card reader or a hard trainer failed.  The firmware comes on the new hard drive, you must use a hard drive HP, a white one will not work.  Earlier versions of the trainer used connections EIDE card and were known to have problems, HP changed the trainer to use SATA connections and they work much better.

  • Windows XP logon screen does not appear

Laptop of my colleague was recently hit by the tdss rootkit malware.  I think I could clean out of his system.  When trying to load the computer out of safe mode, the Windows XP splash screen appears, he will then travel to the blue screen (BSOD no), the pointer of the mouse will appear, but the login screen won't come.  How can I get this problem so that the computer can be used again without having to do a low-level format?

I've used the Windows Recovery Console to extract a new copy of the kernel32.dll file, but the problem remains.

    Hey

I wish your problem which was simple. return to safe mode and go to control panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer on and click on system. Now you should be able to see all kinds of errors publish and republish when replying again so that can see your problem.

It sounds like your windows for some reason any download some drivers painful, which is why the long delay for your account download. You may also check your registry too. I wouldn't you recommended changes before saving your date and knowing your way around.

On the command prompt type: housing (MRT.exe) If you missed to clean malware, let him scan window clean from any virus remains. Parderogationauxarticles how to clean tdss rootkit and with what?

When windows has finished the Scan, Type Run: (msconfig.exe), the utility configuration system to select diagnostic startup or selective startup which means choose what system services or start to download when windows restarts starts. I recommend for you to disable all non-microsoft services and all the commissioning.

Restart the computer, you should be able to access normal account.

It's not over I have difficulty but only first step setting... good luck.

P.S if tool (MRT) does not work it means that your friend didn't update its windows xp.

Life is easy, live and die what else?.

  • Office constantly crashes when you use Windows Explorer

Original title: Vista desktop does not properly

    Hi all

I have a Vista PC, which once at the office, some services starts to run a bit wobbly, apps will work, but if you go in Outlook, which bombards. If you try and run anything specific with explorer.exe as an installation from the office or some thing of the command run you get just the ORB of spinning and nothing else then answers his task manager > disconnect from time...

Make a new connection profile also does not resolve the issue because it allows me to create the new connection, but no connection to him he just gets stuck on the spinning ORB after I click on the user name. So why I cant even connect to another user? Its similar Vista is located in constant read-only mode and create new files, etc. to make a new profile outside of Safe Mode...

I ran checks the malware + viruses and both come back clean

I'm not 100% leads is a matter of explorer.exe like I don't understand why if I go to the line run and type msconfig or services.msc, nothing happens

If I connect with safe mode + Networking the PC works fine too if I run a diagnostic startup in msconfig, it works very well

In summary, I can't run anything from the control run, I can't run multiple applications and Outlook bombs if I try run it... Anything other than a spinning ORB!

    Thank you

    Jon

    Hi Jon,

Please provide an overview of the details of the question. As you said that the computer works fine in safe mode and when the computer is in clean boot state, I suggest you put the computer to boot to safemode, and then start the computer normally. Once you have started the computer normally, you must continue with the clean boot process to find the problem causing the element. Please visit the below mentioned link to perform the clean boot:

  • Red/green line on screen of laptop

So, whenever we go out, my family put my laptop under a couch to hide. Then go to system Maker and get the latest drivers (or the same if not more recent ones) - download - SAVE-
