• Open the application help in the specified monitor

  Hi all

  I work in a project that requires multiple monitors, each showing a different VI. Each of these screws has a 'Help' button that will open the help file compiled from the location mentioned in the hard drive. Now, I would like to open this help in the specified monitor. Suppose that if the user clicks on 'Help' in the second monitor, I would want this window to open it in the second monitor. Any suggestion on how to achieve this?

  Thanks Shivam Awasthi and Germain. By help, I mean the help files compiled with extensions *.hlp or *. chm. I use 'online Help Control' VI under range of dialogue & User Interface to open the help file. But it is still open in the monitor by default/primary. I would like to open in the monitor specified programmatically. I should be able to open it in according to watch her the user tries to access them from.

  Now I have the solution since the last post in this thread. I used the 'restore the window' and 'Move the window' live in the attachment to move the application window to another monitor by specifying limits entry.

• Exit the application and open another

  Hello guys

  In my application, I read the SIM card. If the app does not have permission to read the SIM card, it displays a dialog that informs the user that should be given permissions. The dialogue has 2 options: 'Go to Settings' and 'exit '.

  The problem is that when the user clicks on 'Go to Settings', the application exits and at the same time the settings app opens, but it is all black and messy. You must reduce it to make it work again.

  Is there another way to open another application being closed?

  Don't know what that means "all black and messy", but if you say that the settings application does not display itself properly, then this is probably a bug and you must file a ticket within Jira to report.

  Then ignore, since there is no reason (yet) to spend a lot of time trying to circumvent critical bugs that would have fixed by launch (if reported).

  There is also a chance that the call of navigator_invoke() will be replaceable with something more specific in the context of the call, but we are still waiting on them to document the way in which we can use to interact with system applications. For example, it would be a good idea if we could have our apps to open the right settings for permissions for our own applications, rather than requiring the user to find them in the list.

  You can open it by accessing it in the Applications folder? If so, you may have a corrupt Dock alias. Click and hold the alias and make it about 1 inch away from the docking station, then release. Then drag the application in the Applications folder in the Dock to create a new alias. When you have a new alias, control - click/Options/keep in Dock.

• Files that are opened in a bound iCloud application are instantly copied to the application folder in iCloud.

  When I open a file in any folder in the finder, in an application that is linked to iCloud, i.e. 'Expert PDF' or 'Preview', I opened, the file will be copied to the application folder instantly. This only happens on Mac.

  It looks like a feature and not a bug.

  iCloud is not really duplicate files in the files collection of application.  It looks like a file duplicate of the same size as the original, that you have opened, but iCloud is record storage by creating symbolic links. .

  I checked several of apparent duplicates in the Terminal, and if I list the file with the Terminal command

  LS - li somefileoniclouddrive

  I see that the inodes are identical to the original and the duplicate.  So no additional storage is required.

  Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

  OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

  The Mail app suddenly quit and when I tried to resume, I got this message

  "Cannot open the application"Mail"because the PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

  This also happens with the "Maps" app

  All Mac software are up to date, but "Mail" has been working fine since my last update that was awhile ago.

  If you do a Get Info (command - I) on Mail and Maps applications, what version numbers do you see?

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  Determine if you can start up your Mac in 'safe' Mode. Read how here: OS X El Capitan: safe mode. If you find that the document confusing or difficult to follow, please write back for instructions.

  After you have determined how your Mac works in 'Safe' Mode, restart normally.

  It is to be expected. Don't waste your time with things. "AVG" can be particularly difficult to uninstall, a fact that I learned to evaluate myself. So I can not open Mail, Safari, or any application.  However, I can periodically, the first thing in the morning, after I Shut Down & power up, not after a reboot.  I deleted a lot of photos and videos to free up space, but not luck.  IPhotos, I get the mssg. "cannot import pictures because not enough free space on the volume containing the iPhoto library."     The problem might be related to: 1 overheating, 2 PureVPN although I installed about 5 months ago and it was very good; 3. the MB Air was diverted (I'm worried that PureVPN may have something to do with it).  Or is this a sign that I need to get a new laptop?  Thanks for any help you can offer!

  release disk space and short-term memory are two different things. If your computer is running more disk space, it will have a negative effect on your system.

  PowerPC applications have not been supported for many years now since, OS X 10.7.x, you need to look for an alternative to this app or contact the developers of Spotify to see if they have a version for El Capitan 10.11.x

• Aurora is advertised as a windows application 8, and yet it opens in the desktop section of windows, can it be opened in the application of half of windows 8? It would be more useful...

  In windows 8 screen can be divided into desktop and app half half, it would be very useful if Aurora could be opened in the application, half of the operating system and allow the normal office work to the other half, on a windows desktop 8, I can't see any advantage to use Aurora instead of Firefox, if this is not possible It's a little let down to be honest, I thought that Aurora was an excellent and practical idea.

  Hello spangled101, just to clarify: aurora is a code name for the beta version of firefox hwere novelties are tested. the version that is aurora today will be available as firefox in a few months.

• Duplicate the application in the "open with" context menu

  Hi all

  On my iMac, the last OS X El Capitan.

  For an example, so I mediainfo application on the app store and it works fine, no problem.

  What happens if I go to a video rile, do a right-click, open with... There mediainfo twice, optionally including a version and the other a newer version if instead of upgrading to the new version of its kept the two versions?

  So I look under 'Applications' and that is only once not twice.

  I click and hold the icon for mediainfo in launchpad, it wiggles, I press x to delete it form party launchpad and its applications in the finder.

  But there must be somewhere because he is always right click on the menu 'Open with' and it actually load the program if you choose somehow even if it isn't the disk hard mac! ?.

  I did a search and don't see you mediainfo application anywhere on the disc hard mac.

  I have a copy of super duper of my HDD on an external hard drive that probably the application it but can it really be getting the external application and adding it to "open with" menu and launch the application from the external hard drive? If yes then this is not cool...

  I also noticed right on a PDF right-click, open with Watch 2 entrances of Safari 2 on iBooks, google chrome 2, all are an old version and one is a more recent version, where could he be getting from and the addition in the menu "open with?"

  If it is picking up my applications folder on the external drive backup and using that in the open with menu and launch the application from the external backup then it is really bad, it should only be launched from applications to disk hard mac shouldn't it?
