Difficulties in service center of Toshiba Service in India

I gave my laptop Toshiba U300 - 13K (serial no: X7054949W) for repair Toshiba Service Center Mumbai December year last (within the warranty period). It was a problem of "USB Port does not. More than two months, but my laptop is not yet repaired and handed to me. I was told parts will come from the United States that the laptop was bought out of the India. Even I myself not provided any reference number for tracking online... pls somane can give me info how to log a complaint for Toshiba U.S. or Japan against this bad service Toshiba in India... now I doubt that the laptop can be never repaired and made to me... my job is also severely affected because of this...

The Service is owned by Toshiba? What is an ASP?

I guess spare parts from overseas could take weeks/months to happen, especially if the piece is out of stock.

You must call the Service Center and get an update. Ask them if the component is out of stock.

  • Tecra S3 does not start when the multimedia center of Toshiba is connected

Whenever I (re) start my Tecra S3 with the powered gigastore on (which is connected to the Media Center which is connected again to my dock via USB), my laptop only shows me the "toshiba" screen and doe not continues the start unless I turned off the gigastore and restart the laptop.

    What can I do?

The same thing happened on my laptop while my external USB printer is connected to the computer. It has something to do with the BIOS.
Hmmm, you can try to change the boot order in the BISO. Probably, it helps.

I was an unlucky boy because the change of the boot order has not improved the situation. I had to unplug the printer or turn off the printer during the start-up procedure.

  • Multimedia center of Toshiba - sound to play too fast

I recently bought a Toshiba Multimedia Center and installed on a server Dell T105 running Windows XP. The Dell server has not built into the sound card. I use the Dell machine as a server but run it as a normal computer for now.

Playback of any type of sound or video (iTunes, Media Player, YouTube,...) starts too fast (about twice the speed). After 1-2 minutes playback slows and then runs at a normal speed.

I uninstalled the software and Toshiba all files read correctly even if, of course, without the sound! After you have reinstalled the software, the problem appears again.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Mate well done!
    Thanks for this post!

  • Center multimedia Toshiba Vista

    Hello world!

I have a toshiba multimedia center and it worked perfectly on my laptop using windows XP. Now I am running Vista and it is impossible to install a driver or software from the installation disk provided, and I have not found any support on the toshiba Web site (I've been in the downloads section and select: Options > based Office Accessories > Misc > Multimedia Center, and then I got an installation disc to a device of "Cam"T"... There could be something wrong with their driver database) :s ).

Does anyone know where I can find drivers that suit or a way to make this Media Center works on Vista?

    Thank you

    Bruce

    Hello

I chose the same path as mentioned in your ad and was able to find the installation CD (software) for this Media Center.

It seems that the OS is independent, so it should also work with Vista.

  • Center multimedia Toshiba Driver for Windows7!

Hi, I have a Toshiba Multimedia Center Audio/USB Hub (external).
Since installing Windows 7, this device has no work fine, mainly due to the fact that Windows 7 is installed, it is own generic Audio / driver of USB hub that does not operate properly. For this reason, while I am able to do sound stereo, I cannot get the surround him, or use the line, line and microphone on the front of the device, that are not functions at all.

I tried all the steps I can find to surf the net and these forums, so far in the use of the Xp Compatability mode and run as administrator to install it's own drivers, but all I get are errors telling me that the driver is not compatible with this unit.

I recently discovered however that the hub runs on the same chipset as a creative version, and that the drivers are compatible with each other. So I tried to install the driver Vista of Creative for 'Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit'. Actually, this driver has successfully installed. However, once I had restarted as requested I found that the sound was does not work at all and the pilot tat read "Device" or "Driver" (don't remember who) 'could not be started. "

So I currently had to reinstall the driver of Windows 7 by default and let him be with just a sound work. Can someone shed light on this matter? I love this OS so far and would really hate to have to uninstall it in order to an Audio/USB hub is not working.

The product is called 'Toshiba Multimedia Center' and it is based on the 24-bit Creative sound blaster chip. However, it was not any support drivers for Windows XP.

    Official site:
    http://www.toshibadirect.com/TD/B2C/toshibadirect.to?page=MultimediaCenter

I hope Toshiba can add an update for this device in the future because there are a lot of ppl use it as far as I know.

Unfortunately, I tried to get a driver for this same hub yesterday, and there is no division in toshiba who could help. I spent hours on the phone countelss and enamel with them, every single Department has no idea of what I speak and send back me to another division. I spoke with each division about 5 - 6 times, for a total of about 12 repetitions, each time that they transfer me to a different Center, who then transfers back me. very sad and comical. I use this product toshiba for business and will never buy toshiba again - I've never seen such a dysfunctional society. the experience was so aggravating that I now feel compelled to spread the word. Buy toshiba and beware...

  • Satellite L10 - B - Toshiba Service Station does not

I have a Toshiba Satellite L10 - B with Windows 8.1, that I bought for my wife. Expiry of the additional phone support, and I need help.

Since I bought the computer, I am wondering how to check updates from Toshiba. I finally found out there is a program called Toshiba Service Station that is supposed to automatically check for updates, but I've not yet seen this program, or notifications of him.

I went looking for using the search function, and now I know where to find.

Just today, I tried to manually check the updates of Toshiba using Toshiba Service Station, but it is coming up with an error message indicating that the program has not been initialized and I need to restart or reinstall the program. I tried to reinstall the program from the Web site, and I still get the same error message.

    Where to go from here?

I currently have a different problem but with my Toshiba service station on my Toshiba laptop Satellite P70 - A laptop computer 8.1.

I got when Windows 10 free update became available. Had improved to 10 Windows. I had some problems with my Toshiba since the upgrade. But I'll fix it in another thread.

The problem I have is the Toshiba Service Station as well. I received an alert notification in the Notification Center of Toshiba Service Station. That there was some new updates to download and install. I opened the Toshiba Service Station. A click on the download button. Wait for the download progress bar of progress overall. But he did not download the download progress bar was not even download an update of size small file for one of the Intel drivers. I'm like waiting and waiting for the progress bar fill. But only see an inch of the bar filled. The update has more than 300 MB to download. My internet speed is fast. So I don't know what's taking so long to download.

  • BlackBerry combined Passport exchanged by the Service Center

    Hello.

I gave my passport to the service center for display problems. It has been replaced and I got a trade-in device.

My query is, BlackBerry has a policy where they don't give you the package of box / in which the handset came? I wrote an email to the service centre asking for the box of the device, they gave me, but they refused.

IM afraid that my device now will have no resale value as I have not the original box. In India, where it is necessary if I want to Exchange my unit for a new (another model in the future).

    Please guide.

Do not forget that these service centers in India are not executed by BlackBerry, but by private contractors. It was a requirement of your Indian Government when the BlackBerry is entered service in India, so BlackBerry has very little control over these service centers.

Yes, they should give you the box. I don't know why they wouldn't.

  • Attention to the users of Toshiba in India

    Hi all

Take precautions extreme when purchasing WATER Toshiba laptops or any other place. Because if you the area to buy it for use in countries such as India (with an international warranty), I want to say, you could be in trouble. I'm fed up with their service in India (1800-118674).
I bought a Toshiba A300 laptop computer series (with Windows Vista Home Pemium pre-installed for DHS 4499) hoping that I would get a free update for Windows7, as says global website of Toshiba. But, to my surprise when I tried to sign up for the free update I received a menu to pay another $39,90.

But it does not stop the question. I am currently in India and only Toshiba service centers are currently is in Bangalore and Chennai, which is 600 kilometers that I stayed. And you must register the customer first and then with in 3 days you must declare the laptop or you need to re - register, for them to take care of your laptop.
More than what they have customer care people would nt say you nothing more where are service centers. (I had a question regarding the upgrade of windows 7, and they said something like...) "WE CANNOT TELL YOU WHAT ANYONE ON THIS..." GO TO THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES... YOU WILL GET THE HELP... IS THAT CLEAR?... IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW... "It was more than enough for me... So I said thank YOU.)

In any CASE someone here please help me in this regard. I just wanted to know this. I have a Toshiba laptop and that has 4 GB of pre-installed RAM. And Toshiba gave me a 32 bit OS (which has a maximum physical memory addressing limit of about 3 GB). So needless to say that the remaining GB 1 is get wasted. So I would switch to Windows7. But I would like to know if I can get a 64 bit OS. Because if one 32-bit again, the remaining memory is always going to be used. I better go for Linux OS with a capacity of 64-bit rather than an upgrade of Windows7 (32 bit).

Note: Users take care that Toshiba doesn't have a free update for all series of portable computers that have Windows Vista Home Premium or above preinstalled. Also check the availability of the service centres in your country.

You can also contact me at [email protected].

    Hello Raje

I'm sorry, you are not satisfied with the service of Toshiba, but after reading your ad I want to write my comment to all this.

As a first step, you mentioned having trouble with international warranty. I put t know why you wrote this. As I see that you didn t sent your laptop for repair. My laptop last year died when I was on vacation and the local service provider has repaired my laptop without asking questions. After recording short Toshiba database they ordered parts and after 5 days, I got my laptop. So if someone is often travel through the international interest should be extended.

When you order the upgrade, you must pay for the shipping and handling and I assume that Toshiba will cover only these costs.
If you check other manufacturers of portable you will never find completely free service. Have you ever something Microsoft for free?

One last and very important thing: for a long time I didn't know that Toshiba is a global company of work but in several independent companies based on sectors of the market. So here, in Europe, you have Toshiba EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa), Toshiba U.S., Toshiba Australia and New Zealand and probably in Asia from Toshiba. Each of them supports the clean area only.

So if you buy portable UAE UNITED belonging to Toshiba EMEA I can imagine that Toshiba India (Toshiba Asia) cannot answer some questions about upgrade program for the EMEA region.

In the end, I must say that everything is not as bad as you think. ;)

In any case, good luck and have lots of fun with your A300. I have the same model of laptop, and it's really good laptop with fantastic material.

    Good bye

  • Toshiba DVR80KF DVR is not able to keep registered digital channels

    Hello
I'm not sure this is the right section but I try.
I use the DVR in topic since January 2012 when I bought it.
Now every day that the DVR is not able to keep registered digital channels.
Now the automatic syntonization of digital channels. Everything is allright.
Tomorrow, all channels are missing and I do the update again.

You have any suggestions to fix the problem by myself or the DVR has to fix in a center of Toshiba?

If so, is that I believe that this issue is covered by the warranty of the producer, isn't

Thank you very much for yr help

    Hello

I found a manual on this unit very:
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/DVD/PDF/English/DVR80-English.PDF

the 21 page provides information how to parse and store the channels.
Check all the settings and follow the instructions.
If no channel has been stored, the antenna confirmation will appear. Then you must press ENTER to start the auto scan new or press RETURN to cancel the initial settings.

In other cases, I think that your problem could be related to hardware issue.

  • Can Toshiba inform us after each update of the BT stack?

When Toshiba publishes an update of the BT stack, it would be really good to know about this by e-mail instead of having to check the downloads page.

Does anyone know of an email list that I can subscribe to who distributes such information?

    Hello

I received a few emails on the new version of the driver for my laptop series, but not a particular notification of update of the BT stack.
I think that this notification of e-mail does not exist.

In any case, check the news from BT or BT downloads area from time to time.
I put t think that it is very difficult to do
