Digital control on Office Jet Pro 8625 display has become dark

Control on HP Office Jet Pro 8625 screen became dark after I lifted the cover plates to copy a piece of paper.  No amount after pressing the reset button on the front of the unit allows.  Am able to print from the laptop connected fine.  How can I get the screen to control the light again to the top?

Hi @our-HPand welcome to the Forums of HP!

I understand that your display screen went dark.  I'd like to help!

It may be a problem with the firmware, in which case we will need to be updated.  To make sure that we use the appropriate firmware update, I must first of all a little information. I'm a link a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find what operating system you are using. In addition, if you are using Windows, please indicate if your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.

Mac OS X: how to find which Mac OS X Version is on my computer?
Operating system Windows am I running?
Is the Version of Windows on my computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

In the meantime, I recommend performing a power reset the printer.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. If this solves the problem, click on accept the Solution below, as well as others to find the answer. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Office Jet Pro 8625: Web update Services downloads partially, then freezes

When I try to download an update for web services, my Office Jet 8625 downloads a part of the update then just stops downloading.  Sometimes the reports printer as little as 5% of the downloaded software, sometimes as much as 45% downloads before the download progress comes to an abrupt stop.  Or anywhere in between.  Finally, I get the error message "failed download.  Product update could not be downloaded"I tried to restart the printer and I restarted the computer (even though I think that the printer is download regardless of the computer).

All other downloads to the computer (including video streaming bandwidth intensive) are no problem.

    Hi @Esteban001.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that your 8625 cannot download an update of the firmware. I would like to help.

I see two ways to address this issue. It could be a bad quality of Web Services State of the connection is causing this to happen. You can find Web Services troubleshooting in this post from @E-roqPro tips: Troubleshooting printing and scanning to Email Issues in e-all-in-one printers.

The other approach is to download the update of the firmware on your computer and then update the printer. You can find the update of the firmware on the same page as the drivers and software for printers. Just scroll down until you see the Firmware and click on it. Here is a link to the page of the pilot 8625.

  • Problem of ink and printer? Office Jet Pro 8500 HP has

Hi I do not know if my printer does not behave as it should. My problem was that I have replaced the ink with new cartridges that had been hanging around for a year. I use those reconditioned. They seem empty cartridges but black on replacement that was totally fine - full. Considering that they were brand new and sealed in the course of the year and stored in a cool trunk of the sweepstakes and the black is beautiful I think it's strange. The printer however kept to work very well during the period that they were supposed to be empty - I've used them for about 1 month and turn off but not frequently. The demand of a portal replaceing may have been accurate as the ink was reduced on paper after this month.

Then, I bought new and put all at the same time. Too, they were recorded as having a tiny amount in them and one with none at all. Once again that black was complete.

The printer has become very strange because sometimes it would take 6 minutes and today 8 minutes to control standard boot "several minutes". Its seems now to clean the printer heads and align them each time and going in circles sometimes 3 times in total, as well as other normal checks. The printer not to protest what either one error other than the ink levels.

I wonder if my source of purchases can be a problem, or is the printer. I want to say that I am against the idea of genuine inks being the only consideration that re-controlled black inks are supposed to be true of the printer itself, although whether re-manufactured that works - but not the other colors.  I have it set to the factory settings under the part of the Tools menu. After that a re factory - set ink levels seem to have nothing bother it at all the same as before.

How can I check if the printer is fine if it seems it's already?

It's ink? It's the ink supplier? Estimates are just completely wrong, that is to say an eighth full (practically nothing) can mean full yet?

I have read the instructions and impliented checks but then I missed something or not doing something that the instructions asked me to do maybe?

Just to be clear, it could be there is a problem of ink repeated twice in a row to bad suppliers from 2 different though unlikely ebay sellers. If ebay buy bad providers to give us a cheaper contract, you have to ask yourself if. They maintain that the inks are high-quality XL stated that are totally compatible inks and good feedback from most of the customers. They are also the ebay powersellers so reliable with quality 99.8% feedback scores.

I think that the mechanisms are not perhaps how the printer heads join or the cartridges of printers join but don't really have a clue. The printer tell me that this is the case.

Should I uninstall the software on my PC and reinstall will this help?

I am confused, I must say - it can be very simple of course good sort.

Thank you all very much appreciated if you can suggest to me what to do that would be good?

Of what you mention about the power, here is a post I wrote to explain what is happening out there:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printing-issues-troubleshooting/power-supply-related-issues/TD-p/2184769

Regarding the cartridges, if they are genuine HP cartridges, they should all have about a two-year warranty. If you have a cartridge that is not compatible, you can contact our telephone support to have replaced. I generally recommend against the use of cartridges refilled or returned to nine, just to let you know. Of course, you have a perfect right to use and for many customers, they work perfectly well. But a number of cases in the past, I saw the formulation of the ink or incorrect fill methods cause damage in the printer itself. Also, cost-of-page-performance shows that these cartridges are not more effective than the product those HP. Just a word of caution here.

I saw before independent studies that have been conducted by consumer-reports-esque groups that show identical or similar results as our own internal tests. I recommend always to buy HP cartridges and if possible get the XL cartridges (they are more efficient and more profitable savings).

That is the information that you are looking for, or is there more that I can add to you? I designed on what you are interested in having more information.

    Let me know!

  • Office jet pro 8625: disabled my web services

My original problem was that under the security settings, I accidentally turned off everything, so I'm not able to connect to my computer. The question is 'integrated network capabilities have been disabled. How to reactivate because I can't even connect to the IP address or find an IP address, because this message keeps coming up?

Hi @mmills18, thanks for joining the Forums of HP, I would be happy to help you with your 8625.

I understand all the settings have been disabled accidently and now you can not connect wireless to re - activate. I suggest resetting the printer and rerun Setup wireless. The printer Reset clears all settings and reenable all.

There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

  • Office Jet Pro 8600: office jet pro 8600 clear the display

I have an Office Jet Pro 8600 and need to know if there is a way to fix the screen faded. You don't see the options like print, scan, fax, tools...  It isn't that I know where they are and who's who for the most part.

In addition, scanning is not clear.  Everything is faded.  However, it still prints and faxes by a fine.  I hope I don't have to buy a new All In One Printer.  I finally got most of the glitches and tricks when I have a problem with it.  Is it possible that there is a light bulb needs to be changed or something?  I appreciate your help & feed back as soon as possible.  I use in an office on a daily basis.

    Kind regards

    Hey @mere4340,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.

I see that you have some problems with the copy and see the display on your Officejet 8600 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once it is, while the printer is on, remove the power cable at the back of the printer for one minute.

If after the above, that you can't always see the screen or copy clear, the printer needs to be replaced because it has no replaceable bulbs in the scanner or the display. You can contact the HP Support by clicking here and filling out the form below to see what options are available.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • How to scan using your HP Office Jet Pro 8600

Well, I got my answer because I could not find a topic 'resolved' in this regard. So I decided to post my findings to help the next interrogator (is that a word = the one interviewing). FYI - I am not a "geek", and while I can find my way around a computer it sometimes takes a while.  Also, I have Windows 7 on this laptop if it makes a difference.

    1. go to control panel and choose:

    2. material and audio, then

    3 devices and printers, then

4 fax - HP Office Jet Pro 8600 (network) or whatever printer choice applies to your situation, then

    5 HP Printer Wizard, then

    6 scanner activities, then

    7. analyze a document or a picture, then

    8. Save as PDF

    9 scan

    10. save in a folder you choose

I know this may seem simplistic to most of you, but maybe someone like me is out there, trying to find this out and this could help.

    Roxi

    Hello Acupuncture,

Thank you for posting your solution you found yourself, on the use of the scanning function on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. I apologize as we were not fast enough to answer one of your questions on the Forums of HP Support. I've been able to check your user page but could not find your original post on us asking how Scan, did you remove the question? Anyway I'm glad you are now to the top and scanning of your JO 8600.

For later use, I would like to you to take a look here: how Scan: Windows 7, here we will give all the options and shortcuts on scanning with or without the HP software as well as a few cool features, like the scan from the front panel of your 8600 and adding several pages in a single file.

Yet once I thank you for taking the time to help other members of the community, so thank you once again!

Q: problem for you to connect to HP Office Jet Pro 8610

    Apple - iMac 21.5 "®-Intel Core i5 (1.6 GHz) - memory of 8 GB - 1 TB hard"

    El Capitan

    Printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8610

Help my printer set-up of mother-in-law to his new iMac. Wi - Fi connection; It will display the page of 'test' for the HP Mac utility. Printing from an application (Mail, etc.) results in "unsupported Colorspace = - 19" error.

I uninstalled and ran disk first aid and re-connected. I deleted Printers/Scanners and added in. Various combinations of the above steps with re - starts between the two. Am already balding, can't afford to get out more. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Well, to refine the question, you have a blue flashing or a solid blue light on the printer?

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8600 help how do I enlarge the print on an original when it is in copy mode?

I find it on my help screen how do I enlarge the print on a copy of an original document that I want to copy. I have Windows 7 on my computer and printer is HP Office Jet Pro 8600 wireless. I have a printer HP (3 in 1 officejet) before and it was much more user friendly. Is to use the online mode?

Here is a link to the user manual. To get the possibility to enlarge the copies, press this option on the display of the printer, then tap SETTINGS and then select resize, use the right arrow key to scroll through the sizing options on the printer. Changing the settings of copy is covered on page 59 and 60 in the manual. I hope this helps.

  • HP Office Jet Pro 251 DW: placement of envelope

    Hello

    HP Office Jet Pro 251DW
    Microsoft Word 2007
The model of envelope in the status bar displays the envelope centered, face down with the flap to the left.
Is the default value of the envelope word 2007 - envelope tab > Options > print options are face down with flap on the right in the status bar.
That worked fine until recently. I can only put an envelope in the tray this printer-centric.
If I choose face up or face down in the print options, printing is always on the side of Rabat. The envelope always passes through the duplex unit.
With the face down it shouldn't go through the duplexer. The only way I can print properly on the face is charged to the surface of the envelope with the flap to the right.
I would like to come back as it was of the operation - face down from Rabat to the left as shown on the template. Any ideas?
    Frank C

    Hello

I worked with HP Support for the Office Jet Pro 251DW. (1 800 334 5144)
We walked in a shared session and after many expeiments, we concluded that there
to disable the duplex in word before printing the envelope. Then the envelope could be loaded as
prescribed by the model of Lac to paper. It is face down with the flap to the left.
Missing this step the envelope goes through the filter of referral and prints on the side of Rabat.
Word > Office button > print > properties > print on both sides > no > OK > close printing diagloge
Don't say OK to print because it will print until the envelope is ready.
Now choose mailing and envelopes. Enter the address and print them. Do not forget to return the duplex setting before
    a normal print job.
Either way, you can manage addresses envelope and letter with Grahm mayors insert address.

  • Office Jet Pro L7580, Windows 7 64-bit Installer

I have a Dell Studio Desktop, which I updated to Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 7 64 bit. Now, I'm trying to reinstall the drivers for my Office Jet Pro L7580. The Office Jet and the Dell Studio are on a cable network.

I tried to use the HP printer install Windows Wizard, but whenever I use it, I get the message "the wizard has detected a problem with the software driver for the selected printer. If I continue I then I get a message "the system cannot find the file specified" or a message indicating that an error has been detected and the system must be closed. Once, I don't have the progress bar, but it did not move past the first step.

Before performing the installation, I disabled the TSRs terminate and stay, erased from records and trust temporary and disabled my McaFee firewall. Just as it had all but recommended no advantage.

I also tried to use the utilities to remove the driver, two of them, but this made no difference either.  The documentation says that the driver removal utilities will run at 4 levels. I do not know how, because it doesn't seem to be an exe file. However, when I run the batch file "Uninstall" Windows, it seems to work at level 2 and ask as I restart the system. Deleting driver utilitiesboth I raced my attached printer and not connected to the network.

I guess the message "The wizard has detected a problem with the driver software" must disappear before I can get a positive result. I guess also that this message is displayed because there is some residual remaining Windows 7 32-bit software that utilities to uninstall Windows not delete because they are not executed correctly.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Having investigated a bit more, there are a couple of logs who recommend using Revo and CCleaner to remove songs flying over a previous installation. I've loaded and executed these two and Revo has found a large number of entries that I deleted.

I then ran the wizard again and after a lapse of acertain time and a recommendation to turn my anti virus software I know succeeded. I will think long and hard before repeating this procedure.

Well Yes, I recommend a few levels:
