DigitalPersona Version 3.1.0.3255

I made the mistake of downloading an update of the software of DP. It came installed on my computer. The program has become non-functional.  After that remove, then reinstall with the CD that came with the computer, all are well except - when I try to register a fingerprint to open a web page, I get the message that "this is not a logon screen" and that it is! The fingerprint will unlock the computer, but one cannot re-enter passwords, etc., for Web sites. Any help would be appreciated.

It's the 3.1.0.3255 and Fingerprint Engine Version 4.1.4.743

Hi VMI62,

Follow these methods.

Method 1: Uninstall the application as well as all updates, reinstall.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

Method 2: Try to create a new user account.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

If the problem is resolved in a new user account, and then follow the article on how to fix a corrupted user account.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

If the problem still persists then you can also post your request in the forums of the digital persona for more help and information.

  • Fingerprint reader - Windows 8 - HP Pavilion DV7 connects not

Have searched high and low for a solution to my problem to scan fingerprint - tried instructions on many site without solution.

    Please help-

    I have a HP DV7-6c27cl (Pavilion) - purchased 11/2012.

Updated from 8 to 64-bit Windows to purchase and fingerprint scanner quit job with TrueVision HD webcam.  HP driver update for webcam works perfectly - running.

Software HP SimplePass is responsible for the current 5.20.233a (DigitalPersona) version.

East went to HP and downloaded the new driver (SP58834) for the fingerprint reader.  We sought their updates using the specific model of this laptop and he gave me this driver up-to-date with.  Software starts but no joy on the drive...

Simple pass still said "the fingerprint reader is not connected.  "Connect to the reader."

Earlier today when trying a number of different patches I had a tap of biometrics in my device manager and another in the Panel... on one of my attempts to find a solution, I deleted these.  Is gone now.

Don't know what to do from here.  It doesn't seem to be any solution on the Web Digital Persona site either.

  • Is there an update for Digitalpersona Extension for FF?

I have Firefox 3.5, recently checked in new HP update and updates DigitalPersona to version 4, however in Firefox extension is still 1.0.1.1 and it is not compatible with FF 3.5, trying to make it work again... y at - it a update for the extension that I don't know, or a way to make it work?

    Hi, Frank.

You can 'do' upgrade of the extension, but remember, the official update is recommended to 100%.

1 - find files of extension. In many cases in 'C:\Program Files\DigitalPersona\Bin\FirefoxExt '.

    2. - open the "install.RDF" file with a text editor.

    3. - change line 22, as evidenced by: em: maxVersion > 3.5. * < / em: maxVersion >

    4 - Save and exit.

5 - zip all files, folder "C:\Program Files\DigitalPersona\Bin\FirefoxExt" (not "FirefoxExt" foder zip, only the files in the folder)

    6. - rename the file zip "youzipfilename.zip" in "youzipfilename.xpi".

7 - install the file "as" in Firefox (to do this, drag the file "as" in Firefox).

Remember: it is a solution in time. I recommend that you check the site regularly for updates.

I want to install DigitalPersona Personal on my HP ProBook G3 T6P01ET, but I can't find it anywhere. can anyone help my?

    @Ryan2000

    System:

HP ProBook Notebook PC G3 450

The software you're looking for is Client Security - written by Digital Persona.

The latest version for your laptop is available for Windows 10.

Download and information on this program:

    HP Client Security Manager

    Other:

    User - Guide Windows 10

    By the way:

Be careful with this software - do not install SureKey / encryption unless you want to connect using your fingerprint on the first level of start-up.  The option will probably encrypt your drive, too.  Once set, these options are not always easily defeats.  Read, and then act.

  • DigitalPersona fingerprint reader not detected

    Hello

I just bought a DV4-1302tx and it happened a week ago. The fingerprint reader has no problem in terms of use (windows login) and online account connection. However, after that I run HP Healthcheck, validity sensor is listed as a recommended update, that I've updated. At the next reboot, in my view, the drive is no longer detected.

There is a Validity Sensor being listed as the connected device connected USB device icon. the DigitalPersona software appears the error of re - install the driver. personal identifier in the Device Manager has listed version of validity 2.0.0.1c sensor and no error message.

    Troubleshooting done so far:

    (i) redownload updates for Validity sensor of HP Healthcheck as she is constantly listed as a recommended update after initial installation. PROBLEM PERSISTS

(II) DigitalPersona to uninstall and re-install using Recovery Manager. PROBLEM PERSISTS

(III) driver Validity Sensor to uninstall and re-install using Recovery Manager. PROBLEM PERSISTS

(IV) system restore attempt to reverse the HP Healthcheck on Validity Sensor update. Restore failed, no changes applied. PROBLEM PERSISTS

    (v) check if the driver rear roller possible for Validity Sensor, option is grayed out. PROBLEM PERSISTS

(VI) site of DigitalPersona check the update on the version of the software, not successful. the only security update is for the old version. PROBLEM PERSISTS

(VII) check the HP website to download driver. Only driver Validity Sensor is located, and this is the last version that is installed on my system (2.0.0.1c). PROBLEM PERSISTS

I'm running out of idea to make it work. I book the total recovery of the system ultimately, someone has the same problem? Other recommendations? Please help, thanks!

I think that through the messages of the forum, I found a solution to my problem above. Just remove the driver from the Device Manager, and then run a scan to "detect the hardware changes" in Device Manager, Windows detects an unknown device and auto apply driver version 1.3.xxx to install. Drive is functional immediately after installation.

I have also received confirmation of DigitalPersona support only version 1.3.xx driver should be used, 2xxx will cause conflicts. I wonder why HP Healthcheck invites you to update a driver, defective, inconsistent and cause so much inconvenience to all the world instead. A total discount of the satisfaction of users.

    Kenny

    DigitalPersona support response:

    "

Hello Kenny, the HP HealthCheck tool seems to update your drivers of validity to an incompatible version with our software.  The proper drivers should be 1.3.1.  Please try to restore your drivers. Thank you

    Hi Ze,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I am sorry to say that Microsoft Fingerprint Reader is not compatible with the Windows 7 operating system from the link:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-in/d/fingerprint-reader

You can install the drivers in compatibility mode and verification.

Most programs written for Windows Vista also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If a program written for an earlier version of Windows does not work, you can try changing the compatibility of the program settings, either manually or by using the program compatibility problems.

Make older programs run in this version of Windows:

  • DigitalPersona and Firefox 3

    Hello

I have a Pavilion TX2510us running DigitalPersona Personal version 3.1.0.3276. Finger print recognition OK jobs all the time. I can access sites protected by password on Internet Explorer and Firefox. I also noticed that this program has added an extension on firefox so I can use the fingerprint to access websites on firefox.

When you browse the internet on Firefox, I had trouble downloading all kind of files. When I click on the link for a file, nothing happens. In any case... I started looking for a solution and came with a lot of people who also report this issue. DigitalPersona the addon on firefox 3 let wont download any type of file when you click it.

(There are only 2 solutions to this issue: 1) disable the DigitalPersona Personal extension on firefox. 2) rather than be a left click the download link, click Center to open in a new tab.

DigitalPersona not offer not any kind of support for this personal software and I really hope that HP takes a look.

Here are several forums where you can see people having the same problem.

so for those of you who do not have the version 4.01, go to the support page at HP pc and get it as soon as POSSIBLE!
