It gives me an error that I have directx 6 is installed but when I go to update it tells me I have a current installed version pleas help

DirectX 6.0 is many, many years out-of-date.  You can not install it on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer.  I guess you are trying to install a very old game, and it asks you to install DirectX 6.0 - which you can't do.  Most of the old games don't do well under Vista or Windows 7.  I suggest to see if a version of the game update is available and if not, you can try to run the game in a virtual machine under Windows or in compatibility mode, but most games do not do well with either of these workarounds.  The game, if a game we're talking about, is maybe just too old to be used any longer.

  • Problem with directinput in dxdiag and the launch of the games

I recently started having problems with launch of some games.  Two games, at present, are 'Black hawk down' and 'Dead space '.  When I run Dxdiag I get a direct entry access error.  If I click on 'no' in the pop-up window that dxdiag errors access to direct entry, my dxdiag crashes with report error to microsoft.  I think the two are connected.  I have reinstalled/updated all the drivers of sound, graphics and system nothing helps.  When I try to do the webinstall of directx, I get the message that it has not updated.  All devices works fine.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance for any help offered.

Managed to find out what was causing the problem.  I have a USB stick electric meter reader.  It blocks somehow the directinput do some games unplayable and the origin of the problem of dxdiag.  If anyone has a similar problem then I suggest to each of your devices USB, one at a time, unplug and see if the problem goes away. • UNI-DIRECTIONAL normal/aggressive with several neighbors

    Hello

We lack 4 c4500 switches to 2 sites linked together through the layer 2 cryptographic boxes and VPLS in a point-to-multipoint configuration which is completely transparent (it's more or less like connecting them via a Hub - each switch sees the other 3 as neighbours).

Our basic configs have Uni-directional globally active in aggressive mode.

I wanted to only disable interfaces (routed ports) to crypto boxes, because I don't want their ErrDisabled for 5 minutes if there is connectivity problems in the VPLS-cloud (each switch also had 3 UNI-DIRECTIONAL due to the P2MP configuration neighbors).

Mode config-if I could do it simply with 'disable the port Uni-Directional', but I thougt it would be better (not aggressive) normal mode execution for the chance to use UNI-DIRECTIONAL-show commands. So, I have configured 'Uni-directional port' for the affected interfaces.

    interface GigabitEthernet1/2

    Uni-directional port

    !

    Parts of the show command:

    ! P2MP port to crypto-box

    Interface item in gi1/2

Port enable the administrative configuration setting: enabled

    Port enable operational state: enabled

    (...)

! standard port with the default configuration

    Gi2/1 interface

Port enable the setting of administrative configuration: default of the unit follows

Port enable operational state: active / aggressive mode

    (...)

I was very surprised to discover that a single interface will still in State of ErrDisable after discovering an error UNI-DIRECTIONAL:

    % UNI-DIRECTIONAL-4-UDLD_PORT_DISABLED: UNI-DIRECTIONAL disabled interface item in gi1/2, detected one-way binding

% Of PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: Uni-directional error detected on item in gi1/2, by putting the gi1/2 item in condition of err - disable

Now, I'm stumped: have I misunderstood the difference between normal and aggressive mode? Or something wrong with my setup?

    IOS version: 12.2 (54) SG

    Thank you

    Rolf

What I don't understand is why it ends up in errdisable state when it's configured in normal mode.

You have configured UNI-DIRECTIONAL on BOTH sides right?

If the answer is Yes, then I recommend that you enable the record link "enable connection logging" on the interface to determine if you have a potential problem with this link.

Furthermore, this link is the fiber optic, no?

If this is not the case, UNI-DIRECTIONAL is good if you have fiber.  I would recommend not UNI-DIRECTIONAL on a link of copper.

  • Remove the spaces after the launch of directx10 games in Windows 7 64 bit

    Hello

Whenever I try to run a game that uses directx 10, the screen turns off, and the computer becomes inadmissible.

I did a search on the web, and it seems to be a problem with the installation of games that use directx 9 .0c, because they seem to force the installation of the first. Appearently, it replaces some dx11 files and this allows.

Apparently, the solution is to reinstall directx, which I did, but to no avail. There is no error in dxdiag, and he displayed that directx 11 is the current version:

I have tried several games now, and they all have the same problem:

    Crysis
3D mark vantage (not a game, but it has the same issue)

I got setup of directx from directx home page, and I had the latest version. I even tried to download the redistributable. The question is, can I somehow fix directx? Have I downloaded the wrong version, and if so, where can I get the right version?

  • HP Pavilion g6 2202TX problems after update to 8.1 windows

    Hello

    Background:

Recently, I updated my windows 8 operating system windows 8.1 (64-bit)

2202TX assists in integrated Intel HD graphics 4000 & AMD Radeon 7670 M card (1 Gb)

    Problem:

I noticed that my amd graphic card does not provide operating system. coz

    • in the dxdiag box I could see intel HD 4000
    • When I right click anywhere on the desktop and try to run the graphic properties, I got error that:
"Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. Currently, there are some parameters that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center. »

So I checked assistant HP support for an updated driver, there is not. I had also installed all windows updates.

So I contacted HP and I have been asked to manually download drivers that are for version 8.1 of windows 2202TX.

    Then, I installed it;

There, after I was due to problems.

    1. in the graphic section, first of all I installed driver Intel graphics high definition (HD) (sp63753), in the process, that I got following error:

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
which is very strange because 2202TX meets the requirement set out in req system mentioned in the driver page.

    2. then, I installed the graphics driver AMD high definition (HD) (sp59936), which has been installed successfully. but after restarting my laptop, after awhile I got following error:

"Catalyst Control Center: the host application has stopped working."

and I get the same error when I right click on the screen area and click graphics properties.

    3. then when I installed Qualcomm Atheros QCA9000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows (sp64255), I got following error:

"802.11 a/b/g/n wireless adapter device not found:
The device may not be present or could have been ejected/disconnected from the system.
abandonment of the installation, please insert the card and try Setup again"

So I run the Device Manager, and the driver for the network card "Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn Wi - Fi adapter ' proved to work correctly.  and also the rest of them in that tree.

    In addition,

    4. "HP support assistant has stopped working" error if I try to open the same.

    5. when it is run: dxdiag, I am following error:

"DxDiag has detected that there could be problem accessing Direct3D the last time this program was used.             You want to bypass Direct3D this time? »

Yes: I have not tried that!

No.: programs stopped working and closes.

    6. when I right click any where on the desktop there is no user interface for Intel HD 4000 option, now it disappeared after the installation of the AMD graphics driver, where can I get the intel HD 4000 UI application?

    Things I'm still trying:

Should I install this driver from amd's official website:

Check driver tool AMD Mobility Radeon™

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/mobile?OS=Windows%208.1%20-%2064

    &

    This

AMD Catalyst™ 13.11 Beta Driver for Windows

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/KB-articles/pages/latest-catalyst-Windows-Beta.aspx

    In short:

problems with the graphics drivers and Catalyst Control Center

    Problems with HP support assistant

    Problems with atheros drivers qualcomm...

Please help me to resolve these issues.

    Hey NiksDroid,

At this point the steps above should have solved the problem. Before installing the following drivers, please make a backup of your system, files and images. That way if something happens to the computer you won't lose any of your items.

Thank you very much for the information and images. My suggestion would be to first update your Chipset drivers.
Driver and Intel Chipset Installation utility
Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver
    After installation, restart your computer.

Then the next step would be to update the graphics drivers. Make sure that you first install the Intel driver and restart your computer before you install the AMD driver.
High definition (HD) of Intel Graphics Driver
AMD graphics driver high definition (HD)
Please restart your computer once more, after completing the installation of AMD.

Please let me know the results of the update, thanks.

  • DirectX 11 problem

I've always had problems with DirectX 11 when playing games (Crysis 2, ACIII) and have always used DX9 or 10 (which works fine).  I ran the benchmark Heaven and produced the two images at the end.  Do you have any idea what it would cause (or even what I would call the question so I can look for it online)?

The question is interlaced squares (like a checkerboard) of the normal scene and black.  Dark jitters autour squares 'bad '.  At first I thought it might be a matter of shader because places were evenly distributed throughout the entire viewing area, but maybe his problem with textures as the various elements of the scene are not the problem.

lol - I do not visit the ATI forum much immediately. I am only using an ATI card for three months.
Especially here and Nvidia. Just a coincidence that I stopped there earlier.
Jose my first ATI card in about six/seven years (HD7970). I went to Nvidia after a borked 1950XT, but not only because of this. More that Nvidia had the good card at the right price at the time.
I was going to get a 5850 on a new machine + two years back, but when I was shopping there was a shortage of big two mfg gpu so I had to settle on the least - GTX260.
This machine - Phenom II 965, now has a GTX560ti.

"I'll have to spring for a new card."
With the games you are looking to play in my opinion - Yes.
Not necessarily because of pixelation.  I don't think that that should normally be the case
just because of the additional constraint of the use of DX11, but due to the overall requirements of the games
you play, assuming you like max eye candy.
5850 ability to use DX11 would not always result in the ability to push everything,
and the latest maps are a good step upward. Use less energy and create less heat too.

Apparently, you can get the new key Bioshock and 3 Crysis with ATI and Nvidia more in the USA.
No luck here in the 'chance', no, (Oz) - low countries!

  • Make a dimbuild prior to loading - all of FDM

    Greetings,

We are doing loads of data using FDM. The problem arises when there are new accounts in the data file. Fail to load, and it must be manually added to the database, and then run the load again.

Is it possible to run a build dim where for each new Member of this dimension, I have FDM add it to a specific hierarchy within the dimension? So if ABC Member new and not yet in the database, the dimbuild will add it to the database, then once done, do a load.

I can't simply the functionatlity of construction dim Essbase because the specific dimension, I need to do that against contains a mapping in the FDM...

    We are on 11.1.1.4

    Thank you very much.

    Hi, QC

What kind of mapping is done? I ask that my first reaction is ' what checks do you the Member to be added is a valid member?

To my knowledge there is no standard features of FDM delivered to do this (not sure if there are via ERPi as I haven't used). However the flexibility of FDM Screenwriting I would have thought that you could do something to make it work.

    Things to consider:
    1. it is possible in scripts VB FDM to shell out and launch a .bat file, i.e. gives the possibility to launch a MaxL script to build Essbase dim

2 FDM would not wait for a return code of this process, then you need to generate in some sort of loop mechanism in your script

3 mapping is completed during the import step (although if loading manually rather than batch then should not be derived when importing the target member, you have the chance to add an explicit mapping to step validate), carefully consider where where scripts, you must add your code, the FDM API guide will help with the event firing order

Down another track, I know that you do not want to reload the entire file, but you can still:
    1. launch the load
    2. use the error log to find new members and make the Sun build Essbase
3 re - load on the Chronogram of the direct error log to Essbase

However, this second option break some of the audit trail provides the FDM so not ideal.

    Hope this helps

  • Executable VI generating an error 222 on Keithley 2612 although his run correctly when starting labview 2009 directly

    Hi all

I have a VI that works perfectly and I can control, a 2612 Keithley has for measurements of transistor.

The VI run well when I realize it from the computer that has the Labview 2009 (XP OS) platform

Equipment (IE Keithley 2612 A) is related to another computer that is not labview 2009.

I installed the Run-time-engine 2009 (32-bit XP OS) on this computer.

Then, I create an executable of my VI with the option 'build application.

The executable VI starts normally on the computer, but when I run it, I get an error message from the Keithley 2612 (which wasn't the case when I ran the VI directly from the computer haing LabVIEW 2009 installed on it). The error message is 222 (ie the long parameter)

I thought I did something wrong and I create an executable from an original VI of Keithley (IE without modification). I get the same error message.

When I create an executable with the runtime engine 2009 included (because it is possible to do with LB 2009), I am geeting the same error message.

So I need to check step after step, when the message arrives but

Someone knows something about such a question?

    Thank you

    Hi all

Just for those who might experience a similar problem.

I found the solution after fighting all the possibilities.

The source of the problem was (for some reason) that the country setting of the computer was wrong

and decimals are written with one, instead of a point.

As I correctly reset the country setting, stand-alone files work normally.

    Best regards

    Youki
