Error message: MS office click-to-run stopped working and laptop keep freezing.
I have a Samsung laptop, RV515 (1.65 GB and 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB) running on Windows 7 and MS Office 2007 Academic.
I got the message 'not only respondents' for a long time, but they became more frequent, especially in Internet Explore but then also in Google chrome and Word. Then, I installed MS office 2013 and updated Norton in the same week and got a lot more message "not responding". I also downloaded a program that converts Youtube videos in files. So I defragmented which took about 14 hours and a complete analysis of the system, which was another 9 hours. The laptop was faster that he had never been but then after a few days started to freeze in almost all programs. CLT-alt-del screen stopped appearing. I did a lot of system and controls maintenance, who says super fetch couldn't run, but everything else was okay. I tried a number of time to start to look great but every time I check it is said that it will not start.
My Norton live-view disappeared at the same time I downloaded the Youtube converter (see above) so I deleted Norton in safe mode and rebooted, but it didn't reappear. Then, I thought that I should delete all parasitic programs that my son downloaded so I deleted a few games and Youtube converter, but also ' ETDware PS/2-X64_WHQL' thinking that was a game too! In any case, my laptop has complained and reinstalled.
I have tried reloading MS Windows 7 and had this message: windows can not retrieve information about the disks on this computer.
In safe mode Office Professional 2013 does not open, but the fact of MS Office 2007. So I tried to repair Office Professional and I got this message: click on MS Office to run has stopped working.
Anyway, my current position is that my computer starts normally but which icon I click on (even the start ORB), it sends the hourglass spinning and the screen freezing. A few times I was able to open a program, but is that I get.
I am not an expert as you have no doubt worked and have messed with it much too now and are out of options. Help someone?
Hello
1. How do you reload Windows 7, using repair disk or drive back?
2 are conducting an update install?
I suggest you perform a chkdsk and see if it helps.
Check a drive for errors: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Check-a-drive-for-errors
Note: When running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

How to fix the "host process for windows services stopped working and was closed" on Vista
http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/host-process-for-Windows-services-stopped-working/ I hope I could help -
All the documents that I close (if it is registered or not, whether it is empty or not) shows an error message saying:
Window with the loading bar appears: header 1 - "ofMicrosoft Office Word has stopped working ", heading 2 - "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem... " "
Changes in wording (remains of load bar): header 1 - "Microsoft Office Word to try to recover your information... ", header 2-"it can take several minutes. "
It takes then about 10 to 20 seconds until the charge bar disappears and the text becomes: header 1 - "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working ", header 2-"a problem caused the program to stop working correctly." "" Windows will notify you if a solution is available. "
This process happens every time. Sometimes it restarts the program, and other times it ends just (closed) it. I don't know if this is related to this bug, but I met another problem that began at the same time as this one:
http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistaperformance/thread/f5e2a747-b429-4d55-8a6b-5d5a9b791dd1 (scroll to the bottom of the page of my post) . That error is fixed now, but the "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working bug" continues to annoy me.
Could this error be caused by my computer or Microsoft Word? Does anyone have any information or conclusions of how this error can be fixed? Is there some registry tweaks which can solve this problem?
Specifications of the computer:
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium Service Pack 2 (32-bit)
Pentium Dual-Core CPU T4200
RAM is 3.00 GB if it is of no use

Windows Media Player and Microsoft Office PowerPoint has stopped working.
My laptop came with Vista installed. 2 weeks ago Windows media player has stopped playing video files that I receive by email. I tried to save the file to my desktop and play from there, but the same thing happens. He will play the first few seconds and then stops. In addition, Viewer PowerPoint from Microsoft office has stopped working. The error that says my anti-virus program may be the cause. I am currently using Norton Antivirus 2009. I uninstalled Norton, but I still don't have the same error. All this happened after I downloaded and installed all the recommended Vista updates about 2 weeks ago.
Hi anicho,
Welcome to Microsoft answers community forum!I would like to ask a question to better understand:
(a) what was the update has been installed?
check the update to install and remove the most recent and check. Here is the link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/windowsupdate/learn/windowsvista.mspx(b) what video format you are able to play on Media Player?
You may need to do the following if you have not created a restore point
Clean boot:
This article describes how to start your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".
To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.
If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 . In addition, refer to the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup modeTry these steps after the clean boot and see if it works:
Type command prompt in the start search box, right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator
Type regsvr32 wmp.dll
Press ENTER.
There are also a few Fix it automate solutions on the Microsoft Fix It site, you might want to try:

When I try and open any Office application an error comes up saying "Microsoft Word has stopped working. "Windows is collecting more information about the problem. After a while the error message "Microsoft Word has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Original title: Windows Live Movie Maker
Hello! I have a problem with windows live movie maker. I had been using windows live movie maker before and was able to make several projects already. But recently I could no longer open my files and the following messages keep appearing on: "Windows Live Movie Maker has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. I downloaded the Windows Live Movie Maker program several times, but it does not work. Does this mean I can have deleted a file/program to do work and recover all the projects I've done? I remembered that once, I was removing a "Windows Live" in the program folder files because I wasn't happy with the Windows Live Messenger, kept popping up, which was not able to use, so I removed it from the list. Help, please!

Sorry, there was an error.

It's good to hear. I have collected a number of more complex solutions proposed for this problem with the Google desktop gadgets and grouped into a command line (.) CMD batch file) that can run on any Windows 7 user with access to the administrative credentials (e.g. username and password).
If you want to try an automated process to repair your Google desktop gadgets, first create a restore point. I ran more than 30 times the script batch file on 3 different computers to Windows 7 with no ill effects, but I can't be responsible for your.
The file is on my SkyDrive. If you want to use it to repair your gadgets, Google desktop, or simply look at the batch file to your organization, click here. A complete list of the actions of the command used is available at the bottom of this post.
Figure 1.0 - FixMyGadgets.cmd file on SkyDriveClick on the document on the left to start your download. Select Save in the download file - security warning dialog box and save it on your desktop when the dialog box record under is displayed. This is a small file and should take more than a few seconds.
While you wait for a few seconds, close all running programs in order to have a blank desktop.
Figure 1.1 - icon Desktop FixMyGadgets.cmdWhen download is complete, look for the FixMyGadgets icon on your desktop and right click, then select run as administrator to obtain elevated privileges. Provide administrative credentials if requested. It cannot perform certain tasks without high Privileges.
Figure 1.2 - FixMyGadgets.cmd running in the Console windowWhen the batch file runs, it presents a chance to stop the automatic repair procedure. Press Ctrl + C and then confirm to stop the batch here or press another button to let the process go through.
When the process has traveled, read the connected. TXT file and note its location (or record under). While you should be able to immediately charge your Google desktop gadgets, I recommend you to restart the computer so that Windows can rebuild your default Internet Security Zones. When the computer restarts, you can immediately repopulate your Google desktop gadgets.
List of commands FixMyGadgets
- Begins one. TXT file with the date and time
- Stop the sidebar.exe process
- Looking for a file Settings.old in the folder of the sidebar and deletes if found
- Renames the Settings.old sidebar Settings.ini
- Unregisters the two Sidebar. DLL
- Six re-enrolled. Dll, including the two previously unrecorded
- Questions key to registry areas Internet and record results
- Export Internet areas of the registry key to one. Reg file in the folder %TEMP%
- Deletes the registry areas Internet key (will reset to the default values by Windows when you restart)

HP20: Windows Explorer has stopped working, followed by windows explore restarts
Hello everyone, a few days my computer began to behave strangely. When you try to download some pictures using Chrome, windows Explorer has crashed, and a pop-up will appear showing the message: "Windows Explorer has stopped working". A few seconds after that, the entire desktop up-to-date and another window poped by displaying "Windows Explorer restarts... ».
The cycle of two windows appearing repeatedly. I restarted the computer as soon as it shows the office, the same thing happens again, to infinity.
I was able to restart the computer by using the security mode, it works just fine. I've disabled most of the software at startup, except 360 total security anti virus. It has not solved the problem.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank you very much for any help!
Matheus
Hi old_geekster, I tried what you said and it did not work. However, I then found the original source of microsoft where you got this info from, and they mention here on a corrupted video driver as a source as possible. That was the problem in my case: radeon tried to update earlier this week, but I was in a hurry and it did not properly. I tried again and it worked now!
Thnaks for your help, even if not exactly what I needed, it solved my problem!

Where oh where can I start? When I start the computer, my office is always in the background, but there is a pop up looking for black box thing. There are no long enough for me to read what it says. Something about system/Windows32 (not full title), then past to something else, even once too fast to read, disappears. Then a window that says;
- Online: 223
- Char: 2
- Error: 1% is not not valid Win32 SENSITIVITY
- Code: 0
- URL: file:///C:/Program%20files/PeoplePC/ISP3700/HTA/station.brt
There is an option to run a 'this page with a script' or something to that effect. If I choose Yes or no is not serious.
Under this window is another
"Runtime error!"
Program:C:\ProgramFilesCyberLink\PowerDVDDXL\PDVPDXSrv.exe
Application has requested the execution in an unusual way.
On my sidebar on the right low in McAfee Ms red with white background icons, many of them until I sweep (no click) with the cursor. They will disappear after the scanning, but then return.
When I click on Explorer or the window will Flash quickly on and outside, or should I get the message "Windows Explorer has stopped working".
I can get on explore if I disable all add-ons. But it won't let me check yahoo IND. e-mail messages.
When I try to go to things in the start menu that look like we can help him, I'll either get the error messages or off quick flashes of a window. When I went into Control Panel, nothing happens when I click on the icons.
When I went into the System Configuration. then click on services there are things that say that they are arrested.
In its responses, please explain things as you explain to a 60 year old grandmother.
