disable call waiting

Hello

I have an Officejet 8500 A910n.

How can I disable call waiting to send a fax?

Thank you

Walter

Hello

Thanks for the reply & I'm glad you work for HP, but maybe before you answer, you should check your facts.

I found the answer.

When I pressed the STAR key, up jumps a blue menu that gave me the possibility of other characters that included the dashboard.

I then saved it as a SPEED dial & tried.

To send a fax & turn off call waiting, I press the speed dial, then the sending of fax # & press ENTER.

You hear the phone dialing disable call waiting & then a break & finally the number.

The fax then thrue.

While this was happening, I called my line from my cell & the call went directly to voicemail.

So, I guess now I have solved the problem.

  • How to turn off call waiting?

    Hello

I have a new HP 8500 has more "all in one" printer/scanner/fax. On my old HP all in one device, whenever I sent a fax, I would dial * 70 followed by the button "Pause." That's how I disable call waiting on the telephone line (I use the same line for the fax machine that I use for the voice - I'm not a frequent user of the fax machine).

I can't find a 'Pause' button on the keypad and I called the COMPLETELY useless people serving customers not HP and got the same answer that I always got from them over the years, that is, 'I don't know. " (Their most popular response is, ' it's the first time, someone asked me that ').

Earlier, I found this forum, so I think I'll get a lot more information here, without my stomach twisting when I try to talk on the phone at HP.

By chance, does anyone know how I can dial "* 70 break" before dialing a phone number? I can dial * 70, but I can't find a way to 'pause', while the new dial tone is used.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello smitty195,

You should be able to add a pause in the number you are composition by pressing on the ' * ' button 2 times, this will add a ' - '. If you need a longer break just add another '-' (if your number may look like 55 - 555-555-5 or somesuch).

Alternatively, you can connect a phone to the back of the fax and allows to dial the number, then press Start Fax when you hear the fax at the other end.

  • Disable "call unlock" function blackBerry 10?

I have a big problem with my Q5 BlackBerry slide-to-open function. The feature I'm talking about is one that allows you to unlock the phone by sliding to the bottom of the screen, while screen is off. On paper it sounds like a great thing, but in reality, it's one of those features that makes me regret buying a device BB10.

The problem is that the display has such high tactility that it records the touch events through the tissue of the Pocket. I have more than once been calling people from my pocket and took hundreds of pictures of the inside of my pocket, without knowing it.

I can't find a way to disable this feature, maybe you know some hack that makes it possible? I am seriously considering to buy another camera.

Sorry to bother you. I found a thread in forum someone with the same problem. The solution already exists in settings > display > blow to wake up.

In any case, it's still a pretty bad feature, but at least now I can turn it off. Bravo BlackBerry!

  • clear form will not disable call button

    Hi all
I wrote a procedure to clear all my text fields and disable all buttons. And I call this procedure in a button (insert). When I click on the button insert, after my operation button, all the text he fields get authorized and all my buttons get disabled, except my Insert button. I don't have a code to disable this button in my procedure as well. But for some reason, any other button disable exception key which invoked the procedure.
Is there a way to disable the button thus invoking?
I tried to use the clear_form feature in the default Oracle Forms, but no use.
    Kind regards
    AJ

I guess the problem is that the insert key is enabled when you try to turn it off. You can't disable the current item.
You would have to navigate to another item first or set the properties 'Navigable' and 'Navigable mouse' false.
    Try something like

    GO_ITEM('BLOCK.SOME_ENABLED_TEXTITEM');
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('BLOCK.INSERTBUTTON', ENABLED, PROPERTY_FALSE);

  • The loss of data when disable call forward

I was not happy with the quality of the VoLTE calling ahead, so I decided to turn it off. After neutralizing him and then make a call, I lost the data connection. The 4GLTE disappears, replaced by 1 X. The call quality is better without VoLTE. Any suggestions?

    jaifuss,

Your phone works as expected with Advanced calling off. If you have advanced calling off and place a phone call, the data connection will be reduced to 1 X and data will not function during a call. If you are in a 4G area and you advanced calling on the call will be routed on the 4G (VoLTE) network. This is why your data will continue to work. Call HD and video calls work only if you are calling from another device advanced calling (VoLTE). To make a long post short, so what you see with the login data is normal while during a call with Advanced calling off.

That being said, I'll lock this thread before he gets rained on immediately. jaifuss, do not hesitate to send me a message if you want to discuss this further or have any other questions.

    Kind regards

  • Injection of the event to answer call waiting

    Hello

I am trying to answer a phone call using injection of the event, I saw a few discussions about this, and it seems that the method I use is correct is a sense. I can answer a call on callIncoming, but not on callWaiting. I can answer both using the Simulator, but the device does not respond on callWaiting.

    This is my method:

In callIncoming/callWaiting, I create a timer with a delay of 100 ms, which calls a function that sends KEY_SEND up and down events. Simple, but it only accepts a standard appeal, not an appeal pending.

    Can someone advise?

    Concerning

    Lionel

Figured this out, increasing the timer time solves the problem.

  • Put blackBerry Smartphones called waiting to take another call

Just recently, I discovered these forums and they are great!

I had my 8830 for over a year and have never been able to find a way put a call on hold while responding to another without interrupting somehow the first caller.

Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thank you

Not sure about the use of the Bluetooth headset. There are so many people that do not know how you put people on hold. Do you still have the documentation that came with the headset to find how to do this?

I have a 8310, so when I hit the button hang up red, it gives just the second call, not the first call.
