    Hello world

    I have a Compaq Presario CQ57-104TU. I recently decided to upgrade the ram (currently 1 x 2 GB Elpida PC3 - 10600 1333 Mhz). I bought 2 x 4 Gb Hynix HMT451S6AFR8A, PC3L-12800. Unfortunitely when I install the new Ram (Hynix)

the computer does not start. Is there something I can do or the Ram is not compatible?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    André

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See p.2. Specified memory is DDR3-1333 1.5 volt and you try to install low-voltage DDR3-1600. In addition, memory that you are trying to install is high density, because it has 4 blocks on each side, where I am betting that original memory was of low density (8 blocks). Long story short, it is not compatible. It do you no good to install DDR3-1600 by the way. Best of cases, it will anyway be downclock speed 1333.

  • Office p6750z - added optical drive

I add a DVD ROM to my existing hp (p6750z) desktop computer.  I did similar to other computers upgrades in the past and I looked at the 6750z service and upgrade manual.  I have one question - is is not clear to me how to remove the drive Bay cover in unused drive Bay.  The lid has two locations that look like they might be intended for the insertion of a screwdriver.  I have just to insert a screw drive and apply pressure until the cover POPs out?

The procedure to remove the hood of the car should really be in the maintenance manual.

Please see addition or replacement of a CD or a DVD in HP and Compaq Desktop PC drive for instructions on removing the metal plate "white" of the secondary optical drive Bay. You will need to insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slots and the rocks or twist the plate until it is free.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Question about upgrading memory on a 490 CDT

    Hi, guys.
This is going to sound really stupid, but I bought a key of 64 meg of RAM to add to the 64 meg that was already in my laptop, I just bought the laptop a few days ago).
I followed the manual instructions to remove the palmrest and I can see the module memory, just sitting there laughing at me, but I don't see where would be a memory stick upgrade.
The manual says I can add the stick I have but all he seems to be saying is that... "There is a socket for expansion" with no idea where to find it.
    Any help appreciated.
    Steve

    Hello

normally when you have followed the instructions of the Manaual you should see the 2 RAM slots. We're free to upgrade, but if it has been upgraded in the past, ca change you only the former against your module!

If you have problems, you should call Service Toshiba partner or ask your dealer and ask if they can help you!

    Goodbye, TOK

  • Satellite E300 - troubled 'disabling' TAP to CLICK

I am novice PC user and I just new E300 satellite high tower.
I'm unable to 'disabling' TAP to CLICK function permanently - the user manual instructions don't seem to work properly.
    I am operating windows 7.

I spoke with the technology, but they attend the fresh wtihout and they refer user manual only back.
I also downloaded updated bios on their recommendation without success/change.

Under MOUSE settings I select: properties for synaptics click pad - and then in detailed settings.
I have a tab of TAPPING that I select, and then a pop-up box and screen with "ENABLE TAPPING" next to the white box. the text and explanation indicates tick or mark this box will allow eavesdropping. To leave empty so should delete function "tapping."

It does not work. When I look at the icons hidden on the Ribbon at the bottom of the computer - each time after I closed it restored the service TAP to CLICK.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem. I apologize in advance for my lack of computer savvy, but I also note that the user manuals do not seem to solve this problem and it is not aid of telephone technical support. ?

If someone could help, I would be very grateful. Thank you coral.

    Hello

E300 satellite does not for me, but there seems to be a series of Asia for Toshiba laptop.
I found the download driver page:
    http://PC.Toshiba-Asia.com/SG/support/drivers

Here, I would recommend downloading the Synaptics Touch Pad Driver - 15.2.4.4
Uninstall previous installed touchpad driver in Control Panel-> software
Restart the laptop and install the Synaptics Touch Pad driver.

Now restart and check the water from the tap to click on option once more

The saids manual instructions if you have added / deleted or configured, it won't work, but I have not anything like that.

    Someone please help?

    Thank you

    Hello

Laptop has been delivered with the Toshiba Recovery DVD. I'm quite sure that this laptop was equipped with a recovery DVD.
So if you want to get the phone why you n t use the Toshiba Recovery DVD and boot from them.

You have to boot from the recovery DVD and it would begin the installation of operating system Vista.
But note; This would also format the HARD drive!

  • ThinkPad Yoga 14 upgrade to SSD

    Hello

I just bought the Thinkpad Yoga 14 with i5/8 GB DDR3/1 TB Hybrid drive

I also bought a processor Intel 240 GB SDD upgrade to.

I tried to clone the disk SSD, but it gives just a blank screen or select jumps back to the boot of the screen when start to boot.

I also tried to boot from a USB stick with Windows 8 on it, then install it on the SSD, but the same thing happens when you try to boot from USB (white screen or jumps back to the boot selection screen.

I tried to turn off Secure Boot, boot legacy mode, boot order, Windows load mode turn off/on... nothing works.

Technical hotline of Lenovo does not support upgrades.

Please, any help would be great.

Hello, I did the SSD upgrade last night and everything works so much better! I'm still not sure about the ram if its extensible or not.

Here are the steps I took to swap the drive hybrid SSD HARD drive:

    (1) bought SanDisk Ultra II 480 GB Solid State Drive - $139.00

    (2) purchased Insignia 3.0 Portable Hard Disk Drive Enclosure - $29.00

The case comes with the cable, you must clone the disks and then you can use your old HDD as a disk after having done an image backup and system if you want to, otherwise you have to buy the enclosure but will cable. I found the cost of the cable start around $10 and go on a $29, so I just went with the box. You can find quite different price elsewhere, that's just what I found locally.

    (3) make a backup of your entire system to an external drive, a system image backup and image of the system CD drive just in case.

    (4) download cloning software. I went with the free Sandisk recommended software - EZ GIG IV

    (5) Connect and clone old HDD to your Instructions SDD news will be with your new drive or the software.

    (6) once the clone is complete, unplug your internal battery in the BIOS. Instructions for this can be found in thinkpad manual.

    7) turn the power off and remove the laptop cover. Instructions for this are also in the thinkpad manual.

    (8) remove the old HARD drive. Thinkpad manual instructions

    (9) install the new SSD. Follow the instructions in the manual of Thinkpad and Instructions supplied with SSD

    (10) closing the case back up, put the screws back in and power on.

He had a black screen for a while when I turned it on and while I studied what had not worked, that I thought it was normal and literally as I was reading all came and was immediately noticeable how fast he was. I ran the Bios Update tool on the lenovo support area but I didn't have to change anything in the bios and everything works great. I did not remove the 16 GB card as Ive read that some people have. I'm still not sure if this makes a difference or not. The event viewer shows no defects, and it shows as active / online and running.

I'm always interested to find if I can pass the ram from 8 to 16 GB. If anyone knows...

Also, I've upgraded to Windows 10 the day I bought the machine, so I don't know if that has nothing to do with the swap go smoother.

  • Read a bit off in differential mode in NI 9205

I have an LVDT connected in differential mode in NI 9205 tends in NOR cDAQ 9172. The output signal full scale is from-10 to + 10 VDC VDC. The excitation voltage is +-15VDC. I placed the LVDT to read mVDC - 1400 on the digital multimeter (DMM), well, it oscillates between 1399 mVDC and mVDC-1400. When I read that in Labview 8.5, reading is about-1.410 VDC, oscillates between - 1.407 VDC and - 1.414 VDC.  I know an offset of 10 mVDC isn't that much when my output full scale is 09:50 VDC and I'm not losing my sleep on. But I just wanted to know if it was normal.

The output LVDT signal is referenced (-terminal of excitement and - terminal of the output signal are linked, it is necessary) and I plugged this thread of land on the port COM of NI 9205.

I also have a sensor with floating floor whose output is 0-100 mVDC. I have it connected in differential mode too the + and - output terminals are connected to the ground/COM port using 100 k ohm bias registers. In this case, it is without lag at all. The DMM and Labview show the same reading. By the way I am at the same time by displaying the readings in Labview and DMM.

    Hi sharmaa -.

You can find your shift error using pages 23 and 24 of the NI 9205 manual Instructions and specifications.  10 mV seems a bit high for this particular card, but as you say, 0.1% isn't so bad.  I would say that you have the right not to lose sleep on.

    Have a great weekend!

  • The export of clock FPGA embedded modules e/s

    Hello

Is it possible to export the clock embedded FPGA, or derivatives, all Modules e/s?

    Greeting

    Matthias

I assume that this refers to one NOR 9225, 9227, module x 9229 or 923 in a CompactRIO chassis.  You cannot export the clock aboard 40 MHz to these modules.  One of the modules must be a master, and then you can sync the time base for all modules by setting the Source of the master time base in the Module C Series Properties dialog box.

Export the 40 MHz clock would not allows you to acquire data much faster still.  Depending on the frequency of the time base, you can calculate using NI 9225 manual Instructions and specificationsdata rates.  However, you are still limited to sampling frequencies in the specified data range.  For a base from time to time as 12.8 MHz, maximum possible sampling frequency is approximately 51.2 kech. / s instead of the available 50 kech. / s with the time of 12.8 MHz base.

So Original BIOS was ZQS but the model said ZQT?

I have not found a repair for this model, so cannot move too much by myself.

I found some instructions on the use of USB with the FCN + ESC + Power Buttom combo...

    OK, thanks for the reply.

I got the sollution and will share with you now.

[edited to conform to the guidelines]

YOU WILL NEED TO FORMAT A USB STICK WITH FAT (16) PARTITION STYLE.

    -------

NOW, THE SECRET OF. FD FILE

YOU MUST PUT IN THE USB THIS FILE WITH THE EXTENSION. FD, BUT THE ACER DOWNLOAD SITE IS ENOUGH. EXE TO THE INSTALLATION, SO YOU GO ON ANOTHER COMPUTER (INCOMPATIBLE WITH ASPIRE E1 VERSION) AND RUN THE FILE...

YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE, BUT NOT CLICK NOW ON ANY BUTTON.

NOW, OPEN WINDOWS EXPLORER AND GO TO C:\USERS\(USER ACCOUNT)\AppData\Local\temp\7zS4F0C.tmp

INSIDE THIS FOLDER, YOU CAN GET THE ST. FD FILE (PERHAPS ZQS.) FD)

THAT COPY ON USB KEY AND CLOSE THE ERROR MESSAGE. (FOLDER WILL DISAPEAR AFTER THAT)

WITH THE FILE INSIDE OF THE SECONDARY KEY, FOLLOW THE MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS.

    BASICALLY:

Steps for the USB storage device BIOS recovery

To create a crisis USB key, perform the following steps:
    1. format the USB storage drive using the Quick Format option.
    2. save the ROM file (filename: ZQS.fd) in the root directory of the USB storage device. Make sure that there are no other file BIOS stored in the same directory.
    3. plug the USB storage on USB device.
    4. press the button, then connect power cable.
    5. the power button flashes once.
    6. press the Power button to start the CRISIS of the system mode.
    7. when the CRISIS is over, the system auto restarts with a possible BIOS.

    AFTER THAT

    8. update the latest BIOS version for this machine of normal BIOS flashing process.

YOU MAY HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM LIKE ME, AFTER RECOVERING FROM CRISIS, BIOS NOW SEE THE ANY HARD DISK, SO YOU MUST UPDATE THE BIOS AGAIN WITH THE HELP OF ANOTHER TOOL LIKE HIRENSBOOT HELP FIXITURE MINI_XP.

    BUT IT IS ANOTHER CONVERSATION.

    THANKS FELLOWS.

  • E280 V03.01.11A & Micro SD 16 GB memory card

I read that people believe this combo works, but someone has actually tried this yet with a nearly full up to 16Gb micro SD card and is recognized by the player E280 Sana?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

    Herman,

P.S. I know that the Micro SD 8 GB card works.

It works according to this poster. Why?  You have one that does not? There is a bug that limits the amount of files in the database about 4000 +/-so this limit could certainly be achieved easily with 16 GB card. Some have already experienced with the 8 GB.

One thing I would however recommend that you update your firmware. If you still use the original version de.11, you don't have even the USB mode switch in your menu settings as well as a few other improvements. You can find the firmware from the links in the quick reference card (shaded messages) at the top of the Board. You will need to do this manually (instructions in the post) and force in MSC mode (since your f/w does not have the option).

    With your Player off, set the HOLD switch to the headphone jack. You will see the below orange bar. Now, press and hold the rewind |< button="" while="" at="" the="" same="" time="" plugging="" the="" cable="" into="" your="" sansa="" (cable="" already="" connected="" to="" the="" computer).="" it="" should="" power="" up="" in="" msc="" mode.="" if="" it="" doesn't="" open="" a="" windows="" explorer="" window="" automatically,="" open="" one.="" double-click="" on="" your="" player's="" icon/drive="" to="" open="" it="" and="" follow="" the="" instructions="" for="" manually="" loading="" the="" firmware.="" when="" done,="" slide="" the="" hold="" switch="" back.="" it="" should="" re-boot="" and="" you'll="" be="" all="" up="" to="" date!="">
