• Dreamweaver cs3 - CSS not made when opening pages - please help!

  I use Dreamweaver CS3 and have built a certain (low) sites previously so not a perfect beginner, but am totally thrown by my CSS does render does not correctly in a new site I am building.

  I've implemented a new model, all work very well, full CSS included, noticed in the browser ok.

  Then created 2 new pages from this model "Aug.html" and "Oct.html" and recorded the two - both pages contain a link to the other and both preview in the browser on their own.

  Why does the CSS work here?   You need to refer to what happens when you PREVIEW a page in DW, is - that correct?  In other words, get you an overview of the page, click on the link to page B and page B will appear without the CSS - correct?  Here's why-

  Your link to the style sheet is a link to the ROOT (see the first "/"?).  When loading the B page after clicking on the link in the first page, it tells the browser to find the style sheet to "C:/2012LG_CSS.css" because the browser has NO idea where the root of the site DW is and assumes that the root in the link refers to the root of the hard drive.  Normally, you would not use relative links root, unless there is a good reason to do so-in your case, I am sure that you do not have.  Edit this link to a document a relative, i.e.

  In General, it is not a good idea to click outside any page viewed when using DW.

  Hi all!

  I'm having a problem with my images not appearing is not in design mode. I can see them when I view the page in a browser, however.   Run the validator at http://validator.w3.org/nu for a list of errors and correct all found your page.

  If you have a clean and valid code, but the problem persists, post a link to your current page, or all of the code and css here in the forum (don't use e-mail, it will not come through) so we can take a look at what's going on.

  Description of the problem:

  • For some reason, Dreamweaver puts the red diagonal line through png files, which indicates that they are hidden when I do I not so designated them.
  • When I use the shortcut menu to reveal to them, the order to disclose is grayed out. I need their coat, and then I can unveil their.
  • Then, when I 'Refresh' my list of files they get hidden once again, at least the red line passes through them.
  • When I have uncloaked them and then put the local folder they are in (after deleting this file on the remote site first for this test) the png do not, but the jpg in this folder and the folder itself got set.
  • In order to upload them to the remote server, I need to manually drag the png on the remote server files. And, even though I was uncloaked first png files, once the png files have been moved to the remote server they get the red diagonal line.

  • But then when I unveil these remote png files, and I update the list, the remote files the red diagonal again. Once more the remote png files have the possibility to reveal available in the context menu and not reveal.

  Thanks for the reply. I'll briefly explain what I did where everyone is looking to solve a similar problem.

  We wanted to offer two payment options - CC (via paypal) and EFT in offline mode.
  Tags Bill have not made because I tried to set up the 'Process offline' option in the section of payment gateway to address the latter of these payment methods. The process offline method, despite not not storing the details of credit card in British Colombia, requires credit card information to wear. I guess it's as well that it can encode to send in the PDF file.

  Instead, what I've done is change to the payment by paypal and all deleted payment gateway options payment in the registration except "Paypal" and "COD" model I have relabelled COD as EFT in the html code. In this way no credit card details must be sent, and an invoice is sent with all the correct details made.

  I have another question regarding changing the status of back-end for an order according to the method of payment, but I'll start a different debate since it is not directly related to this problem.

  My web page looks great in Design view - just where I want to. When I click on Live View, things have really foires air upwards and nowhere near as good and I'll have to fix this somehow. But the main problem I have is when I saw the page in a browser. Firefox or Internet Explorer, it just seems like it's not finding the CSS file. So I manually typed in the code in the header, and that has not worked. So I clicked on the 'link' button and come to find that the CSS file and that did not work. So I opened just the CSS file, saved as a CSS document, and it still doesn't work. So I opened a page that I know works correctly and compared the two and it's not just a difference. Everything is fine with the paths or the code. In fact, I was getting so frustrated that I picked up at the regular "index.html" to a website online that I have access and has replaced it with one I have problems with. I downloaded my new css file and all my images, and even this Web page looks like it does not find the CSS. www.semaltra.com here are the screenshots of what I see and I also stuck my code.   I have a recurring problem in my css designs, and he drives me to drink.
