Discovery

Hi all

I recently installed the Cisco OnPlus 100 in our society and it has only discovered devices installed on-site. Our topology consists of 3 facilities and each institution can talk to each other. It is my understanding the Cisco OnPlus would fit learn these features in all schools. What configurations or settings required to allow the process of discovery to collect information from websites past our router to site? We need multiple Cisco OnPlus devices to monitor all areas of our society?

Thanks for any help on this matter.

A single ON100 won't discovery Automatic for devices outside the LAN/VLAN/subnet that it is paid. You can manually add hosts to other places (or even on the internet) to be checked by the ON100, but in order to automatically detect other devices routed sites/networks, you must place an ON100 each, or somehow the broadcast domain of these networks available to the ON100 as a VLAN.

Added devices manually can be monitored by an ON100, but currently don't offer all the features of backup/restore OnPlus.

  • 10 windows network discovery broken after update 6.5.2

Today, I decided to implement the actions of ReadyCloud and discovered that I needed to update my firmware to do this. The NAS then update itself 6.5.1.

Just about everything (including the new shares of cloud) works, except for one thing: access to the network Windows 10.

Can't seem to find out reliable NAS on two different windows 10 machines on the local network. Under explore > network you can actually see the NAS appear for a second, then disappear, then reappear etc.. A Windows 7 machine on the same network has no questions!

I have since discovered that the firmware 'update' is not up-to-date, but installation manual 6.5.2 did not fix anything. I also discovered that if I manually have to map a drive to a location on the NAS Server I can navigate it very well. If I try to navigate by opening the SIN of network locations, the newly open Explorer window closes as soon as the SIN disappears from network locations.

    Here is the configuration:

    * The RN104 with firmware 6.5.2

    * Services SMB, HTTP, and HTTPS are the only ones to be activated

    * Volume 1 X-RAID on 3 discs

    * 1 USB external drive

    * Active ReadyCloud (no other cloud services)

    * No apps running / installed

    Network clients:

    1 x Windows 7 (works fine)

2 x Windows 10 (works mapped drive, network navigation does not)

    Hoping someone can enlighten us!

(edit: I probably would add I did obviously, as reboot all the machines in question)

I see that your logs are invaded by Discovery WSD service-related messages. I you sent instructions on how to upgrade to a more recent version of this service.

It seems that you used to have two volumes and the NAS still has references to the volume that you destroyed in its config that must be cleaned.

  • Help determine if your router can support AirPrint with application of discovery of Hello

AirPrint is a feature that can be used to make HP printer made after 2010 and some apple devices can communicate and printing of materials out of these apple devices so that they are both on the same private network.

A way that we can determine their router is configured to support AirPrint is to download the Hello discover app for free from the Apple App store.  The application of discovery is a utility that displays all of the services available on the local network or on extended areas Hello Hello.

Once you download your apple device and open it will start to provide information if you click on "Hello scanning" and lists your printers which means that your router is capable of supporting the Hello and can AIrprint. If you type as above mentioned point, and no printer is listed, then your router does not work Hello and you will not be able to AirPrint with this router.

    Hello

I tried to install the driver for my printer after I upgraded to 10 Windows, but so far without success.  I tried all methods I found mentioned in this forum.

I first tried to install the driver full features software directly.  I got error 1722. Then I followed the instructions to use the wizard and disable the firewall.  When I used the wizard, I got error 1726.  I think that both of these eorrs say things like"

I also tried to install the software with the firewall off.  I had error 1224: "unable to copy the files of Port Discovery.

I ran the update of Windows.  It is said evertying is underway.

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone here could be kind enough to help me solve this situation

These machines are set up in an autonomous local network set up as a working group the only other points on the network are none based on PC hardware that fortunately, the server communicates with and reads the data of

Once network discovery is defined for the network, the system works as expected, but on each startup (or wake up) network discovery is lost and need to be authorized. This is the case at the time windows server 20008 r2 and windows 7

How can I make these permanent preferences. for that it restarts and re establish communication its self without intervention

  • Configuring the private network or disable questions for the network discovery in network and sharing Center.

I just got my laptop all cleaned and had everything updated. When I got it back I was mainly concerned how my network and discovery sharing would work, because we never had a home computer and a laptop computer at a time. Our PC at home has always defined for a private network. Today, they are both defined for the private sector, the laptop will probably always be at home too, but I was curious to see how the printer share everything would work on my laptop. It would not print and I checked just the settings that the guy I of any program for me usually had the top settings. On my laptop that I was first checking out and the network discovery has been to custom on both, one on my PC was on, laptop has never been verified we or off, file sharing has been enabled on both. public folder sharing off on both, printer sharing turned off the PC at home, but on laptop, so much time, I guess me to turn on the PC I don't know yet. Printer password sharing is on the PC and laptop. I try essentially whether it is what you would call a custom setting make for a firewall setting, or could someone please just kinda tell me if the sharing of network discovery should be turned on on the laptop and the PC, or was it not suppose to be turned on to the laptop, but on the PC only? Which should be lit and which should not be enabled in the configuration of the private network? I just want to be able to print my laptop if I want to. Thank you

  • How to disable IMAQdx periodically sending a 'discovery' to 255.255.255.255 Ping?

IMAQdx seems any GigE cameras by periodically (about every seconds) sending a Ping of 'discovery' to 255.255.255.255.
As my vision system does not use any camera GigE (FireWire only) I would like to get rid of these "Pings of discovery."
Is there a recommended way to achieve this?

    Best regards, Guenter

    Hi Guenter,

Windows is not currently a way to disable the GigE Vision support in installer. However, you can disable the mechanism of Autodiscover with the following registry key:

You should be able to save the following in a .reg file and then import it:

  • Make a backup of ASR, saved, but at the end of the record, I got this message: discovery of the ASR diskette has not been created.

at the end of the recording, I got this message: discovery of the ASR diskette has not been created. You will not be able to restore an ASR backup without the system information stored on this disk. What does that mean? Should I save my data otherwise? I don't have a floppy drive (I'm surprised if someone does) but I have a dvd read/write cd drive... One last thing. When I looked at the content on the flash drive with program de-Frag it was lit, which means completely fragmented, the program recommended it de-fragment it... is this safe with a file of this size on a flash drive?

Original title: Saving went well, but

Windows XP is too old to do something other than a floppy drive.  If the automated system recovery disk is important to your backup and restore needs (HINT: YES it IS!) then get a USB floppy drive to create the ASR disk.  Or get a copy of most modern backup and restore program that works under XP and use modern media (USB, CD/DVD, keys etc.) to create a startup/recovery media.

  • How will I know if my Windows XP is running in Mode "discovery"?

How will I know if my Windows XP is running in Mode "discovery"?

It depends on which Bluetooth stack you use.  If you use Windows to configure your Bluetooth device, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883259

In my rather old Widcomm Bluetooth utility, there is a box in the "Accessibility" tab that says 'Other Bluetooth devices discover this computer.'  Access the Bluetooth configuration utility or via the Panel control, either by right-clicking on the Bluetooth icon in the system notification area (near the time).

  • Network discovery, file sharing settings keep changing by itself and Alltel to set the network location continues to ask the wireless device

former title: network location settings. Discovery of NW. File sharing. public folder sharing. AVG 9.0 'tools' and network connections.

My Alltel Wireless device again set the network location. And continues to change my network settings for the discovery of NW to:, as well as file sharing for: file public and sharing: read-only.  I have AVG Security 9.0 and under 'tools' and connections network shows several svchost with States reading service connections listening and unknown. I don't want no access to my computer and cannot find any computer consultants who can get this to stop. What can I do?

    Hello

    1. the options apply automatically on?
    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?
    3. have you installed any Alltel Wireless application to manage network connections?
    4. What is the current network location type on? Is it home, work or public?
Network discovery and file sharing settings depend on the network location. For examle, if you set the network as a public location it turn on file sharing.  So I would ask you to turn all the parameters and then choose the type of network and check if the parameters change again.

    Method 1.
I recommend you to check if the problem exists in clean boot. May be a third party application is causing these changes.
See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 2.
Also check the settings under tools in AVG security suite. You may need to check with the help of AVG on it.
Or you can disable the antivirus software and check if that causes this behavior.
Temporarily disable the security software installed on the computer and check if the problem persists.
    Disable the anti-virus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software
Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    I hope this helps.

  • Discovery Network Vista problems

I have a PC running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit version. The specs are 400 GB hard drive, Intel 2160 1 .8GHz duo core CPU, 2 GB memory DDR2 Ram. I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. I've been running this program for a month without any problem. I have the firewall in Windows Defender disabled and I use Kaspersky as 2 firewalls running at the same time, of course, could cause problems. My problem just started yesterday is the following. I have a Playstation 3 in another room that I share my media from my PC with. I did this for about a year with no problems. Now, I can do more is this. I checked my settings of network discovery and it is on 'custom' and I believe that he used to be in the position "on". But now when I try to turn it on by clicking on the button and clicking on apply will welcome back to custom. I can turn off, but not on. He's stuck on the custom. And I think that it is that I won't be able to share my media with my Playstation 3 into the other room. I know it says that if I changed my firewall settings it could cause this problem.  He said that my firewall settings must match the settings of Protocol I think? I tried the system restore, and it says my system restore is not completed successfully because of an "unspecified error" I tried restoring the system 4 times and I have been unsuccessful. About 2 months ago, I ran without any problems system restore. I can always go online and do everything else on my computer with no problems. It's just a problem of media sharing. I think the fact that he is stuck on "custom" is perhaps the problem because it makes my computer impossible. I used to see my Playstation 3 on the network when I hit view other devices on this network. Also my Playstation 3 always goes online and working properly, while sharing the same router as my PC wireless. I tried to turn off the two firewalls. Try each one separately. To have both. Temporarily, I even uninstalled Kaspersky Internet Security for my computer. I even temporarily shut down Kaspersky and Windows Defender turned off completely. Nothing has worked. My network discovery is still set to custom. I've also restored the firewalls on both of these programs to their default settings. Nothing has worked. I have download a different media player a few days ago, called TVersity. I thought this might have something to do with the problem, so I deleted completely. But I think he can still have messed up something in my computer. Sorry to be so long-winded but can someone help me? Does anyone else have this problem? I tried to solve this problem for 7 1/2 hours in a row and I'm frustrated exetremely and all ideas. I'm afraid that I can get more dirty things. Thank you all in advance for your help.

    Hi stangrun,

DNScache, Function Discovery Resource Publication (fdrespub), Discovery (upnphost) UPNP device host and SSDP (ssdpsrv) are Windows services.  To access, please click Start, type Services in the search box.  Right-click on the service and choose Run as administrator.  When the service window come up you will be able to locate and see whether or not those services have already begun.  Alternatively, you can right-click and choose start their execution.
