Display Arabic characters in NetScape Navigator

Hello
I use Oracle Forms & reports 10g R2. I call a report by a button in this report there are English and Arab character. When I see report to the English character Netscape Navigator 9 show fine but Arab character did not show correctly.
If I check this report within the Arab character generator show very well.

I also try defining "Character encoding" = (ARABIC WINDOWS 1256) in NetScape Navigator 9, but no luck.

Please help me how to solve this problem.

Thank you
Yassen.

    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET is irrelevant if you keep your Arab data in N [VAR] CHAR columns. In addition, AL16UTF16 supports Arabic, and there is no need to change. Please, ignore the advice of Fran. However, the advice of Srini. The journal will tell what could have gone wrong. The most likely is that the 8.0.6 export was done without NLS_LANG value. AR8MSWIN1256. In this case, you will need to NLS_LANG well-positioned and re-export. Keep the NLS_LANG value. AR8MSWIN1256 when importing as well.

  • Display Arabic text

    I recently upgraded to windows 7 ultimate x 64. I'm trying to run a program that display Arabic text, but it shows the instead of unreadable characters. I downloaded and installed the Arabic language pack, but it does not work?

    Hello

    Is what program this?

    Do you know if it supports the English operating system?

    You should contact your supplier or the manufacturer of the program and check if this software supports and runs on an operating system with an English Interface. Unicode (Unreadable character) indicates that the software does not support your language.

  • After you add the Arabic language to my preferences, the numbers always appear in Roman numerals on everything except for microsoft office. How to do it so I can type in Arabic characters and numbers in all places, not just office?

    Already, I've added the Arabic language pack.
    He works in the office, just anywhere else.

    follow-up: I've created a KLC which actually works since Microsoft KLC does not work with the Arabic characters and Hindi digits on the same layout.

    I composed the automatic installer that microsoft allows you to make and downloaded on my website at: http://ryanglynn.com/2010/12/06/arabic-keyboard-layout-finished-programming/

    All the characters and Arabic numerals will work with win7 on this KLC. The installation is simple. Just open it and run the .exe

  • I want to accept only Arab characters in the input text

    Hello

    Is it possible to let the user just write in Arabic in the af input text?

    If he enter English tank when you use keyboard ENG that I want to prevent this event and not let him write without error msg and if it helps keyboard AR I want let write

    Thank you.

    You can implement something like this using javascript. You should prevent the addition of English characters of:

    -Keyboard

    -By using ctrl + v (in case you have copied English words)

    -Using right-click + spent (in the case where you have copied English words)

    To do this test to track the following:

    1 - inside af:inputText add 2 clientListener. One to accept only Arabic characters and the other for the deactivation of ctrl + v as:

    2 - Add af:resource with type = "javascript" and inside this write three functions:

    -an acceptArabic function.

    b disabledPastFunction

    c disabled right click on the page.

    as:

            = 1560 && k <= 1610) || k == 32)
        {
        }
        else
        {
          evt.cancel();
        }
      }
      ]]>

      function disabledPastFunction(evt)
      {
        var k=evt.getKeyCode();
        var e = window.event;

        if(e.ctrlKey)
        {
          if (window.event.keyCode == 86)
          {
            evt.cancel();

    Our ssh client is Tectia (no putty).
    According to the ML, below the SSH client is configured correctly to use the features of globalization.
    + The correct setting of the NLS_LANG in environments Unix [ID 264157.1] +.
    Googling 'Tectia + Chinese' return any useful results

    I understand that you're talking about Windows SSH Client.

    Putty, you define:

    $ export LANG = zh_CN. UTF-8
    $ export LC_ALL = zh_CN. UTF-8
    $ export NLS_LANG = 'SIMPLIFIED CHINESE_CHINA. AL32UTF8.

    and configure Putty in window-> translation to use UTF - 8.

    There is nothing on this topic on the Tectia Web site and in their textbooks, so my best guess is that the customer requires codepage Windows works properly. In this case, you must set your locale by default Windows (locale setting for non-Unicode programs) system in Chinese and use the following settings on the server:

    $ export LANG = zh_CN. GBK
    $ export LC_ALL = zh_CN. GBK
    $ export NLS_LANG = 'SIMPLIFIED CHINESE_CHINA. ZHS16GBK ".

    Check with "local-a" as the parameter zh_CN. GBK is supported on your system.

  • Insert Arab characters in mysql database

    I try inserting Arabic characters of coldfuin 7 in mysql 4.1 DB the DB classification is utf8_unicode, this

    This one is in utf-8 enicoding.

    When I use php mysql admin and try Arab type insertion, it works fine but when I use coldfusion I get?

    Any idea?

    assuming that the db is properly configured for unicode and you are using JDBC

    driver (not ODBC) then:

    Add

    useUnicode = true & characterEncoding = utf8

    for connection string (not exactly what is was called in cf7) found

    in the menu for that DSN.

    The first thing to do, which is perhaps not trivial, is to configure your terminal correctly in Arab support. Only after you have successfully set up the base in Arab support with one of the Arabic character sets (must use the logical order, i.e. AR8MSWIN1256, AR8ISO8859P6 or AL32UTF8), you must configure the Oracle (NLS_LANG) Client to match the configuration of the Terminal.
