Display flicker of NVidia and crashed to a black screen on HP IQ500.UK after upgrade of Windows 8

I have a HP IQ500.UK OS computer original Vista 64 with GeForce 9300 M GS Driver version 174.62. Update of the operating system Windows 8 has replaced the driver NVIDIA version 9.18.13.0286, which is unstable for display, causing frequent display flicker every other second or so, sometimes not get back and goes to black screen. Reboot needed to recover and a phenomenon. The original driver can be deployed in windows 8? HP or Nvidia has a solution? Should I revert to original driver Vista 64?

Update: I have now the Nvidia driver works and have not had an accident in days. Here's what I did:

  1. You must stop Windows 8 tries to automatically update drivers every time it starts up because that's what's causing all the problems, to do follow this tutorial:
    http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/6cde20/automatically-updates-drivers-in-Windows-8/
  2. Then up to uninstall everything what you have loaded upward and loading the driver VGA Windows options base which is available under find it locally. Do all this in Device Manager
  3. Download the Windows 7 Nvidia driver on the HP support site - don't try Nvidia card who are not compatible
  4. Remove your ethernet cable and/or disable wireless - very important. You'll re-enable it after all this is over, but you do not want Windows to do something unexpected...
  5. Using 7-Zip or some other programs self-extracting unzip the exe that you downloaded. My memory was SP44488 or something like that (I'm at work sorry). Extract it to your desktop or something
  6. Go back into Device Manager, right click on the graphics card and select update or install drivers option.
  7. Select the manual installation option
  8. Select the diskette provided at the bottom of the screen and then go to your exe file extracted in step 4
  9. Windows will look for the name of the driver then install it from there. Your screen, wobbles a bit and you think that its going to crash but mine did not. It takes a while to load so be patient.
  10. Once loaded to reboot the machine. When it restarts it will likely screen black right now that even if you did mine has actually updated the driver to version 9, I think only the first step.
  11. Stop and try again and your father's brother Bob

I did the above and all my problems disappeared and I have the Nvidia drivers loaded. You'll see the pilot who caused all the problems turn upward in Windows Update as an optional download - INSTALLER DONT IT

Now, my PC is not the fans screaming as he did when the driver has been disabled and it is much more receptive.

Hope this helps

see you soon

I accidentally put 100 files on my desktop and it went to black screen and will not work

    Hello

Following methods and check if that helps.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Start your computer in safe mode and check if it starts very well.

    Step 2:

If the system starts in safe mode, then there would be a third-party software, causing the issue to occur. I wish that you start your machine in a clean boot State. Clean boot helps eliminate conflicts of third party software.

Note: Follow step 7 to your computer as usual.

    Method 2:

If this does not help, you can perform System Restore in safe mode.

If you can start the computer in an environment of Safe Mode with command prompt , you might be able to make the operational machine through the system restore. Here is an article on how to get if the process.

Start the restore of the system from a command prompt

If you can't in SafeMode with command prompt environment on initialize toward the top, you may need to use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows by default. The initialization process differs from manufacturer to another computer, but it involves usually typing a combination of key or combination of keys at startup.

Note that this process will remove probably all documents, images, programmes, etc. that you have installed/created since owning the computer. for example, it will restore the computer to a State identical to when it left the factory. Use this class as a last resort and consider having a computer technology to remove the disk to retrieve all personal data (documents, photos, etc.) that are irreplaceable.

  • My computer takes 20 minutes to start and also has a black screen

    Hello world

I have a Dell Dimension 9200 and recently every time I start my computer or it reboot, it takes 20 minutes to get to the desktop and also has a black screen. This issue has occurred only recently and I don't know what is the cause and so advice would be welcome.

Other strange things include all my system restore points are missing and so I can't return the operating system to a previous date when it was working properly.

And when I did a test on the hard disk, one of the internal drives have had a "Fail" result - Code 7 back. I don't know if this was caused by a virus or is the result of a mechanical failure in the hard drive itself.

    Thank you very much.

  • Pavilion dv6-4024tx: display random crashing after upgrade to Windows 10 (back to Windows 7)

    Hey all,.

I used to own a computer laptop dv6-4024tx Pavilion which I gave to my father to use after you have bought a new laptop for my part. It was in pretty good condition when I gave it to him, with the only problem being that she would get very hot unless a cooling pad was used (which I it comes with). At the time, it was running Windows 7 Home Premium with no problems and everything was fine. However, it might be interesting to note that while I had it I had problems with random blue screens while I was with the latest graphics drivers, so I drove back to the drivers supplied on the support page for this laptop. After I "upgraded" to Windows 10 (do not perform a clean install) for my dad, the laptop would randomly crash and display something like the photo that I have attached, before going empty and show again several times. Believing that it would be a problem with the GPU, I went and Display Driver Uninstaller to remove completely all AMD drivers and software, downloaded the latest driver on the AMD website and installed. It seemed to temporarily solve the problem, but as it's always within 30 days of installation, I offered to go back to Windows 7, but my father wanted to leave it and see how it happened. Oddly enough, for the next month, it never reported the laptop crashing again and the time period for return finally expired. The problem of course back then I tried the same solution from before but the noise continued. I tried to disable the GPU completely from the Device Manager, so that the laptop was running with Microsoft Basic display adapter. He seems to have stopped the fracas, but less than a week my father told me that he had crashed again.  I tried to restore the laptop to a system image I had done years ago, but I learned that you cannot restore an image to a different version of Windows System. Finally, as a last resort I backed everything up and made a real clean install of Windows 10, and the problem has not yet disappear.

My goal now is to return the Windows 7 laptop somehow. I can mount a virtual image of the system hard drive and access all the recovery files provided by HP, specifically the Recovery Manager. From there, I can do a recovery USB or DVD (s) we hope to restore the laptop to all conditions of factory (so theoretically return to Windows 7). I will try this, but I need a flash player more than 20 GB or several blank DVDs I don't currently. In addition, Recovery Manager says that this medium can never be created once, so it save me time and money (not to mention my last lifeline) if someone could please share their views on the question of whether this method would be successful or not. I know in case it doesn't work, there is always the question of registration of the OS by Microsoft, but I can cross that bridge when I get to it.

Sorry for the essay I just wrote, but this has been a problem for too long, and I am at a loss to know what to do now (apart from the purchase of another computer). If there are any questions I'll be happy to answer, and I hope we can get this issue is resolved. See you soon.

If you follow this step 3.

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/675-system-image-recovery.html

You will need to select "format and repartition disks" as windows 10 will have changed partitions.

  • Problems with sleep and stopped after upgrade to Windows 10

    Hello

So I'm going to sleep problems and stop once I have upgraded to Windows 10 laptop won't sleep or stop correctly. The screen turns off, but the power LED remains lit and fan as well. If I chose the sleep he wakes up little matter what I try, and I have to make a hard stop at every time.

    Any solution to this problem?

    Thank you.

    1. Download version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.
    2. Download the Package of troubleshooting Windows 10 "show or hide updates" (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab).
    3. Change the Windows Update Services automatic (delayed start) parameter to the manual.
      • In Control Panel, select administrative tools, and open Services.
      • Go to Windows Update and double-click it to view its properties.
      • Click on stop to stop the service to run.
      • Change the Startup Type to manual, and then click OK.
    4. Install version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  If you receive a warning dialog box about the replacement of a newer version of the software, accept it.
      • NOTE: You have NO need to uninstall version 11 before installing version 9 or 10.  The presence of a version of the driver is required to 'upgrade' (or demote in this case).
    5. Run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting Package 'Show or hide updates' and hide the updates of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  (This will block your system automatically reinstall or display of updates for version 11 of the pilot).
    6. Change back the setting of Windows Update Services to manual automatic (delayed start).
    7. Restart your computer.
    8. Rejoice!  You can finally sleep and stop again.

  • L50-B05C satellite crashing while gaming - black screen without warning

    Laptop Toshiba Satellite L50-B05C crashing
I write because there is no section of series B in the section.

The laptop is 2 months old and has just recently been crashing (blacken off instantly, screen) without warning when I play a game.
It had worked perfectly in these games until about a week ago.

Use CPU, memory and disk are all weak, so I have no idea of what is happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I write because there is no section of series B in the section.

Just FYI: it is an L series (L50- xxxx)

The laptop is 2 months old and has just recently been crashing (blacken off instantly, screen) without warning when I play a game.

Have you noticed a temperature higher while gaming?
I guess that the laptop automatically stops due to the higher internal temperature.
This is nothing unusual if the temperature is too high... the laptop would shut down to prevent the equipment from damage...

    Try this:
Go to advanced windows power options and reduce the max CPU performance at 90-95%
In addition to change the cooling method for: performance.

I would also recommend to check if fans and the vents are not clogged with dust...

I'm not sure where you live but in my country, the temperature is currently very high and I guess it's really hard to cool the internal parts and to maintain the temperature of the low laptop

  • GeForce 9800GT problems (resolution and horizontal lines) after upgrading to Windows 7

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 on my desktop HP m9350f computer.  I more a few days later my screen has finished by resolution 800 x 600 with horizontal lines on the screen, from the start.  I spent several hours with the support of Microsoft and HP by train to reload the updated drivers from the Internet HP site and Web of NVIDIA site with no improvement.  As part of the normal troubleshooting I plugged a cable and another monitor and the problem is neither the monitor nor the cable.  I removed the video card and temporarily replaced by another video card and the problem goes away, so the problem is with the graphics card (as opposed to the motherboard).  I replaced the NVIDIA card and the problem is back, essentially confirming that the problem is directly related to the graphics card.  While I found 'a lot' of discussions on the internet about similar issues with 9800GT cards, I can't find a solution to this problem. HP and MS have exhausted their resources. Any ideas or solutions?

It's time for a new video card.   Remember to match the energy needs of the new card with the power supply of your PC.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

From your description, it seems that, after you have installed the correct video driver for your ProBook (15.201.1301) AMD, Windows Update is then by installing a different driver on top of that, right version?

If this is the case, you must follow these instructions to STOP Windows update update drivers: how stop Windows 10 to update automatically the device drivers - windows Windows 10-10

Once you do this, you should not see updates to the pilot after that.

    Good luck

  • Hard drive crashed after upgrade to Windows 10 Windows 7

    * Original title: HARD drive Crash / Win7 for 10 Upgrade... bad timing!

I have a PC running OEM Win7 x 64... just did the free update to Win10 a few days ago. HARD drive just crashed hard. I did an ISO when I upgraded to Win10. I'm trying now reinstall on another HARD drive... and no matter if I use Win7 OEM drive or ISO Win10 disc, it tells me that the activation code is invalid. I was under the impression that, as long as the mobo (and everything else except the HARD disk) is the same, Windows will allow you to reinstall with the key?

  • Display faded after upgrade of Windows 8

    Hello

I have a laptop Sony Vaio VPCS111FM which worked perfectly well the Windows 7.

Updated to Windows 8 Pro via the download $ 40 from Microsoft on 11/01/2012

Now, the brightness of the display is constantly all the worse that all cursors are maximized for each power setting.

Adaptive brightness display has been disabled and the brightness has been optimized in the Vaio control center.

When connected to an external monitor, the brightness levels are fine.

Restored hard return to the factory with Windows 7 and the brightness settings was perfectly fine. Re-installed Windows 8 as a new installation , remove all software and files in the event of any compatibility questions it however the brightness remains low after the login Windows 8 screen even if all levels of brightness are maximized.

Any help would be much appreciated as I imagine that several users have it if I'm after a clean installed.

Hello everyone.  I had figured this out earlier for the VCPS111FM with Win8 beta.  After the complete reinstallation of Windows 8, it took me about 3 hours to understand once again, but I finally got.

    1. go to http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-download.pl?mdl=VPCS111FM&upd_id=7237&os_group_id=6

    2. download Vaio Care

    3. Once this is installed, open Vaio Care and click Advanced tools

    4. click on restore and recovery

    5. click on drivers and Reinstall applications

    6. you should receive a popup "recovery partition has a different operating system.  Are you sure you want to continue? '-click Yes

    7. click on next

    8. scroll and click the checkbox next to the graphics driver (Intel)

    9. click on next

    10. click on start reinstall

This should fix the problem as it has done for me (without a reboot, you should immediately see brightness increase).

    Good luck!
