  My SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player is not recognized by my WIN 8 machine when I connect it via USB.  It works fine on my other machine WIN 8.  Technical support SANDISK told me that the MTP drivers are missing or corrupted.  How do I find, download and install these drivers from the Microsoft site?  Is it also possible to copy these out of the installation of WIN 8 disk I have?

  OK, so I found that this worked for me on win. 8

  1st: hit 'Windows key' 'X', then click on Device Manager.

  2nd: once it go to Universal Serial Bus Controllers, find "USB Mass Storage Device".

  3rd: hit search and edit the material (something like that)

  4th: there are 2 categories, the first to find the driver automatically, and the second looking for your pc.

  5th: click on the first then wait it should work and then it will say that it is recognized and you can sync your Media Player!

• SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB MP3 player with FM Radio

  Hello-

  My new sansa clip + out of the box and I'm not able to do Radio FM works.  Battery is charged.  All I get on screen is a set of headphones and the 'music '.  I do not expect to play music because I have not yet loaded, but I expect to be able to get FM radio but can't seem to get there.  Any suggestions on how I have to happen?  Thank you.

  I'm assuming that I need only the files autorun.inf and the sansa - install .exe.

  Now, don't laugh at this suggestion, but: when you get the player, there is a transparent plastic sticker that was placed on the screen of the player, which has a screen simulation showing the items that describe you see on your screen - have - you, you take off the sticker? Finally, you should check and see if your drive is the latest firmware - look under settings to the player and to compare this version number firmware recent listed in the upgrade thread Firmnware sticky at the top of this forum. If the thread here has a more recent version of firrmware, recommended that you upgrade to it-, it is very easy to do. I hope this helps!

  Have you used the Audible Download Manager?  I think that's the recommendation until the end of files in the Audible folder on the Clip + and show up under the music/Audiobooks section.

Then I went to the music... I deleted the songs that would not play mp3 but not the computer. Then I clicked on start, music, then some songs would not play, I did drag the music file to the folder of the sansa. It copies into the mp3 player. He should be playing then.   1. Reformat Sansa Clip flash memory and install a FAT32 file system. You can reformat in Linux using Gparted, but the Clip still won't work because the Clip wants the exact settings that Windows uses when it formats a blank disc. However, reformat the Clip in Gparted will serve to ensure that it will not work absolutely nor be recognized by a Windows machine. So go ahead and this once if you wish. Then connect the Sansa Clip USB2 to a computer running Windows or Vista. Then use Windows File Manager (Windows Explorer) to try to open the drive letter of the USB Windows detected device. Windows will give you an error message saying: the drive is not formatted and offer to format it for you. Choose the FAT32 file system and uncheck "quick format". Then let Windows format the Sansa Clip flash memory.
  2. Once the Clip is in the Windows format, delete ('remove hardware safely' icon in the system tray, then unplugging the USB cable). Then go to SanDisk.com and download the "Sansa Updater."
