I just got a Sansa Fuze 4 GB MP3 player... Help?

I have just received, installed the Rhpasody Media Manager, but when I plugged the real player, it was unable to install as a new device. First of all, I got this messege bubble in my bar saying my device can run faster, then a bubble pops up saying that an error has occurred and that my device does not work correctly. I tried to install a new media player and update my service pack for XP SP3, but it does not always work.

I even used windows troubleshooting and tried to install it manually. What should I do? Can anyone help? I mean, it charges and everything. At least I think it does. The screen that is displayed whenever it is plugged into the USB 'Connected' bed and bar dough gets on the Board and keep flciking as if he were in charge. What should I do? Even at the start of WMP 11, no device does appear for me to sync.

Help?

Is the drive set to PSG for the USB mode? The player must be in MTP for Rhapsody mode or to work with WMP.

  • Just got my Sansa clip +. Made my head. Help, please...

    Hiya,

I got my Clip + yesterday and I am impressed by the sound, but I really need help on the following please:

Drag and drop the gel: it does seem like other titles at all. If I try to delete a file Explorer windows (W7 Ultimate) album, it's maybe 2 or 3, then locks up. The progress bar freezes, and eventually it times out. These are quite normal MP3 files.  I can drag some of the individual titles in, but then that he is stuck on everything won't. Why is this? On an album, there are 4 that will not in all.

Can't delete some folders: I'm going to drag a folder and it works OK, but when I try to delete it, it says that I can not, because it is write-protected, and the only way I found to get rid is to format the clip + and start over.

Records do not remain separate: I maybe drop 3 files in, but on the music list that they are all bundled together. For example, I dropped 3 metallica album files in (also those who would not delete). Kill Em all, Ride the relief and Master of Puppets. But they are not separated on the clip +. The order in which they will be is:

    01 - hit the lights

01 - fight Fire With Fire

    01 - battery

    02 - the four horsemen

    02 - Ride the relief

    02 Master Of Puppets

    Etc...

What should I do? My last MP3 player was about 5 years ago and it's simple.

I'm not going back, I love the size of it and the sound is quite impressive, but I'm going to need, if I can't get a grip on it.

    Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeers

Go to system/settings/USB settings and change it to MSC. This should make the Clip act as any other flash drive and simplify slide / move. The other mode is the PSG, which is supposed to work with Windows Media Player and sometimes gets tangled with protection against Scripture and other oddities - to avoid, IMHO.

If you click on the list of music, on a second page, you will see the folders and you should be able to find your music in the same way as on your computer.

But like most new mp3 players, the Clip works also by labels instead of folders.

Lists the Album, artist, etc. you see are not records. These are databases built since the tags ID3 - electronic tags in the files themselves. Album lists each title of the album found among the mp3s. Etc. It looks like your Metallica albums do not have the field filled in the ID3 tag Album or the Clip cannot read this field, so it is to find the artist (Metallica) and the track number and doing the best he can.

This can be corrected very easily if you keep just with the single explanation below.

Download the free program mp3tag. http://www.mp3Tag.de/en/

When you install it let it be added to the context menus (an option during installation).

After installed, open it and go to tools, Options, Tags, Mpeg and under writing choose ID3v2.3 and ISO-8859-1. (ISO-8859-1, this is how Windows displays the text in the English language).  Make sure that these options are saved.

Marking is not standardized in particular, and who's going to save the tags Clip how like them.

Click on an album, and then look at the tags. Click the header file name to put in order - those who seem to work - and then fill in the other fields correctly. You can labelled the album both highlighting everything and put the artist, Album, etc. in the box on the left. Obviously make sure album is in the area of the Album.

MP3 tag also has some other nifty features. One is assistant tools/auto-numbering. Make sure the files are in order, from top to bottom, reading, choose the option of leading zeros. If an album has 10 tracks and they are labeled, 1, 2, 3, etc., the Clip will play 1, 11, 12, 13, before 2.   Leading zeros fixed that.

Under Convert, you can convert your files in tag names.  It's pretty obvious, how it works, each field is shown by the artist %, etc.  So in the box to convert you can type Track % - %Title% and complete them for your file names.  This could be your best option, but mp3tag is very flexible, and you should understand something.

It is best to take off the Clip files problem, fix them on the computer and return. You can just format and start over. If you have not freshly formatted the device, you can delete MTABLE. SYS of the clip - which is the database of the ID3 tags - and when you unplug it will make a new MTABLE. SYS to your new tags.

Further, it takes about 5 seconds to make sure that the artist and the Album are consistent on the album in full and run the auto-numbering wizard before adding the album to the Clip. Then you can search... and destroy.

  • Can the Sandisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB MP3 read podcasts one after the other

For health reasons, I need to take a long walk after each meal.  For many years during my walks that I listened to podcasts on my wonderful old Sandisk sansa, who plays a podcast after the other without action from me until I have stop.  It's perfect here in the North when I walk in 30 below zero weather. I mean that I don't want to open my parka and out the player to move to the next podcast.  If I had to do, they would find me lying in the snow, Frost, like all the rest of those poor Devils who bought the wrong MP3 player.  Anyway, after years of using the plug-in on my old Sansa fuze is pretty much exhausted and the player must be replaced.  I buy a sansa clip, but had to return when I discovered that he has not played podcasts one after the other, automatically. (And it's also too small for my needs).  Before you buy a new 4 GB sansa fuse, so I need to know if this greatest player will play my podcasts consecutively and one after the other.  Your advice would be much appreciated.

There is an e250 (2 GB) and a rocket. They are 2 totally different players. The "rocket" (original) replaced the e200 series model.

But if your podcasts are placed in the Podcast folder (or even record Audio books) and then ranked in the same "Album" folder, they must play consecutively without stopping, regardless of the model of reader.

  • SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB MP3 player with FM Radio

    Hello-

My new sansa clip + out of the box and I'm not able to do Radio FM works.  Battery is charged.  All I get on screen is a set of headphones and the 'music '.  I do not expect to play music because I have not yet loaded, but I expect to be able to get FM radio but can't seem to get there.  Any suggestions on how I have to happen?  Thank you.

Please note that I do not see a menu of items to select from the MP3 player.  I do not see a "lock" or "unlock".

My computer recognizes the drive as a new piece of hardware.

The reader does not recognize the software on the CD when I put the CD in the computer.

The player does not allow me to make the software what I t hink is the "root directory" for the player.  I guess tha the directory "root" is the "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" or the "internal memory".  It allows me to copy in one of these.   Appears as:

    + The Sansa Clip + 4 GB

    -Internal memory

    + Albums

    + Audio books

    + Music

    + Playlists

    + Podcasts

    + Records

    + Service

My D drive that reads the CD has these files it contains:

Autorun.inf and sansa - install .exe and one other file that reads:

fscommand with these files it contains: dloadrhap.exe, dloadrhap.txt, proxy.bat, proxy.exe

If I do not have need of these, please let me know.  I don't want to stuff more then I need to run the player.

I'm assuming that I need only the files autorun.inf and the sansa - install .exe.

I do not understand what is Rhapsody or why I need.

    Thank you.

    Bonnie

Now, don't laugh at this suggestion, but: when you get the player, there is a transparent plastic sticker that was placed on the screen of the player, which has a screen simulation showing the items that describe you see on your screen - have - you, you take off the sticker? (It generally is a small tab on the right side of the tile to help with that.) Once you do this, the player I hope will begin to operate as expected. On the CD, you don't need at all! The CD is required to use the separate music Rhapsody and optional subscription service (for which you pay every month, after a free trial, usually). If you do not want the service, go to the CD. Finally, you should check and see if your drive is the latest firmware - look under settings to the player and to compare this version number firmware recent listed in the upgrade thread Firmnware sticky at the top of this forum. If the thread here has a more recent version of firrmware, recommended that you upgrade to it-, it is very easy to do. I hope this helps!

  • My Sansa Fuze is photographed... help?

Okay, so, my computer froze and had to be stopped, and my sansa fuse has been plugged in, now it does not work. I turn it on and get a blank screen. When I plug it into the computer, I see the normal screen of 'Connected', but as soon as I unplug it, welcome back to the white screen of death... Is it all the same to restart or do I need to go to the store I bought it at and ask if they can fix or replace it...?

    You have probably some corrupted data, maybe a transfer was interrupted when the computer froze? Format and reinstall firmware should be all you need. There is no way you describe would have actually broken beyond repair material. I'll copy and paste my advice for reformatting to another thread;

Try connecthing the reader to your computer, then formatted the player in respect of the management of the disks (if you use windows), then download firmware appropriate for your reader to this thread. Make sure you choose one that suits, as the case may be, you have a V1 or V2 rocket. You can check this by opening the file 'version.sdk' (you can find it in the top folder of the "rocket") in any text editor. Unzip the file, place it in the top folder of your "rocket", and then disconnect the drive. It will install the new firmware, and if all goes well, it should be good as new after that.

  • Display in Sansa Clip 1 GB MP3 player problem

My player is having a problem in the display. Letter (alphabet) in the menu and the letters, while the song are distorted. But the numbers representing the number of song at the top and battery charge screen work properly. Even the welcome note 'Sansa' and 'goodbye' Note closing are displayed correctly.
Because the letters are distorted, I am not able to navigate through the options, song or perform any operation like look for a song.

The elements that are deformed, are:

Display the name of the artist

Display the name of the song title and album

    View letters in the menu

Kindly let me know how this problem can be solved as soon as possible.

  • Sansa fuze + ignores mp3 tags

Hi guys I just got my sansa fuze + (8 GB) and apply the 01.27.02 firmware update. Later, I download a file from my collection, but the sansa doesn't recognize all the tags of tracks. I don't know if it's a name of file or any other problem. For example, I have in my coldplay album

drwxrwxrwx 2 tuxtor 4096 tuxtor 2010-09-27 00:41 Viva La Vida or death and all his friends

I'm sure that all the files have the good tags (I can see it in amarok, banshee, etc.), but in the sansa I can watch Parachutes and Viva vida La or dead... the other albums appear with the album unknown and artist unknown.

I'd be willing to bet that they don't.

ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 is the format of the desired ID3 tags. If you use Linux, I suppose that whatever program you are using is not written this tag format. There was more here before with the same scenario.

  • How can I customize my desktop wallpaper? [For a Sansa Fuze]

I just got my Sansa [Fuze] last Sunday and I really like it, but I was not able to customize my desktop wallpaper.  You can download wallpapers various yourself, or do you go to a special Web site?

[I only have one color and the Blue]

Have you updated to the latest firmware (01.01.15) published a few weeks ago? You should have 6 different colors. They are under SETTINGS > SYSTEM SETTINGS > WALLPAPER (top of registration page). They were all solid colors; not very interesting. Unfortunately, there is no way to customize yourself until the moment where the Rockbox people break the code. SanDisk can do something in a future update, but I doubt it.

  • Sansa Fuze won't turn on.

I just got my Sansa Fuze (4 GB, black) in the mail from Amazon, and it won't turn on or start. I tried to plug it into my windows, and he replied make it really hot and then gives me an error message, something along the lines of "Windows does not recognize the USB device. I went through all the troubleshooting/knowledge base of Sansa advice, and it still doesn't work. I was trying so plug into my Linux workspace after several internet sources tol me that the unit would work with Linux, but it has yet to give me anything. I used the command "lsusb" on Linux, does not, the "rocket" does not even appear in the work. Any help will be greaty appreciated!

  • Sansa Fuze attached to my docking station

    Hello

Initially, I got an iPod touch and he hated. (Due to the process running in the background kills the battery time more so than if I was listening to just mp3s.)

So I just bought a Sansa Fuze for a realitively cheap off a merchant online and I expect to soon.

    My question is...

I have an iPod dock which is also a radio and it has the iPod base and the setting of the radio, but also has a cable to THE outputs.

I was wondering if I made a playlist on the Sansa fuze and attached the Sansa Fuze to the iPod via the port dock to THE and kept the playlist on the shuffle affecting all night and when the alarm turns on the time I put to him, I have here would be the songs through the reading list since technically the speakers had to be activated so?

I let just the sansa fuze on the wall charger, I also bought.

I think it would work, what do you think?

Thank you very much for your help.

  • Sansa Fuze V2 problems wheel [HELP PLEASE]

So, I recently got my Sansa Fuze.  I was very happy with it.  Initially, I had some problems, but I sucked in and resolved.  Although now, the wheel of my sansa fuze is what I believe to be, die.  The drive itself is not even a month, and I do not use it pretty close.  The LED around the wheel is really go wacko.  The whole circle LED flashes, and the lower right corner of the wheel would not light up unless I actually press on this subject.  I had this problem before, but I found that the sides were loose and that I just pressed it back, which made the point.  2 weeks after it happened.  I don't know what is happening.  I have searched, but nothing was very useful for me.  Is there a way to fix this?  In addition, how would I know if my drive is still under warranty?

You say you have "recently." How recently? It is probably still under warranty (1 year in the United States). This looks like something that will do better or that you can fix yourself. It's a hardware problem; call that SanDisk technical support and they'll most likely replace them for you.

  • No sound coming out of my Sansa Fuze

Hello, I got my sansa fuze 4 GB last year and he spent the time of limited warranty. I turned on my rocket today and I didn't hear any noise. I made sure the helmet worked, it was completely plugged, the music was playing and the volume has been mounted. I still have no sound. All I heard was a thud in my headphones every second. He would thump from the moment where I turn it on until I turn it off again. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you

You could try to reinstall the firmware and maybe formatting (will erase all the files that you put on, you will need to re-charge). Otherwise, it's probably toast.
