Display in win8 problem

Yesterday, I took off my PC monitor for cleaning & dusting. After making the connection again my PC shows the very large icons. I tried to adjust the screen resolution, but it did not work. Any ideas?

Have you tried > to "Desktop". right/click on screen > select the size of the icons, you need?

  • Display Tecra S1 problems

    Hi guys and girls.

Looking for assistance or technical advice regarding Tecra S1 my nephew who had a problem of unusual screen for a few weeks.

The laptop was working fine until about 6 weeks ago, when all of a sudden, the screen could not operate on initialize toward the top. The exact symptoms are the following:

1 screen comes with black (power off of the State) to a dark gray on startup reported no beeps at startup. Indicating that light was operational?

    2. external monitor has been attached and portable started with photo as usual. However, the photo could not be changed between laptop and external monitor via "Fn" + "F5" key and laptop screen just went to dull grey screen as mentioned previously.

3 battery has been taken out and replaced after awhile. Power Pack was plugged into the laptop. Still no splash screen.

The laptop was then left for a few weeks and I started to study further today. On booting, I found that the battery was dead, then insert the power supply charger to find... the laptop booted up on the first screen!

This could be purely a matter of Ribbon display? I am aware that the ribbons in most laptops can be affected due to running through them the hinge connecting the main body and showcase.

Thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

It could just be a bad connection tight behind the screen, reseating the cable can be operated again.

If not, it may be a hardware problem as a faulty LCD or motherboard. A Toshiba repair center can give you a quote for repair.

    Hello

I have the same model of laptop, and to be honest, I didn't install the display driver because Win 7 install automatically the display driver and was able to get the latest update.
So in my case, the installation of the new driver was not necessary.

But have you tried the latest driver from Intel page?
    Try this!

Do a system restore back to when it was working properly (as you did before).

Instead of going through Control Panel > go to the website of your computer manufacturer > drivers download Section > then key in your the model number of the computer > search your operating system > find two graphics / video or from the Chipset drivers and download and install.

There are different methods to reinstall Vista, if you think it is necessary to do so.

    This can help you:

    http://www.heidoc.NET/Joomla/technology-science/Microsoft/57-Windows-Vista-direct-download-links

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery on the drive Partition hard reinstall Windows how much you bought your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • DISPLAY DRIVER & CARD PROBLEMS VIDEO

I had problems with the display for a new hard drive has been installed and reinstalled Vista. Windows updates and the site Web driver Dell got NVIDIA GForce 8300 GS was an important download and installation has failed several times in my monitor would keep turn off restarting so I kept this option off and work with a fuzzy computer among other things that are a pain! I ended up installing (don't know how or why he decided to install) my computer worked GREAT for a few days then flicker started and the screen went black. I used "FIX IT" and he said CURRENT VIDEO CARD is not compatible with WINDOWS MODEL (WDDM) display with AERO. " This ever come before, just that I needed from NVIDIA. My computer says that I am using a driver not plug-and-play VGASAVE but has a lot of question marks too. Tells me that my video card is on the motherboard. Not sure if VGASAVE runs as a generic because my card is bad or because NVIDIA is disabled again. I was wondering what exactly is AERO and if I really need, I didn't install it. I disabled NVIDIA so I can get in my computer and to do more things than I can in safe mode. When turned on my monitor turns off during restart as before. Dell website has my computer service tag and lists 2 drivers. He said that NVIDIA is important and this DRIVER INTEL R167384. EXE is URGENT, but when I try to download INTEL one it says my system does not meet the conditions for. I was told my video card is probably bad and buy the plugin kind because it's the easiest & cheapest way to go since mine is on the motherboard. I want to just make sure that I really need or if it is another question. I have a Dell desktop Inspiron 530 s and I am running Vista Home Premium. Any suggestions?

Have you tried to get the nVidia Driver from nVidia instead of Dell web site?

Aero is the display theme that allows to see the translucent windows, images of the small pop-up window you see when you hover over the handles in the taskbar and the effects like that.

  • Display in lightroom problem

Hello, I don't know how to explain my problem because I just started playing with lightroom, but when you view a photo in the phase of 'developing' my photo in the main display area looks like it's a thermo view any? It will be very well in library view and other areas of small observation but changes considerably in the development phase. Shooting with an iphone 6 and a gopro knockoff. Using Windows 8.1 and Lightroom... regardless of the version $10 / month gets you. On mobie, I will try to add images in a minute.

Go to the preferences of LR and the performance tab and uncheck the option use the GPU.

  • HP touchsmart tx2 display at startup problems

When starting the laptop, the lower part of the display becomes unusable. There are two parallel and horizontal white lines on the screen or there are a few colors, but they are completely "washed" in the lower part of the screen. In both cases, the computer becomes useless because there is no way of knowing where the cursor is. After several reboots, meet you at the normal state, but it's random, it occurs usually after the computer has been turned off for a while. To solve the problem, when I am in windows I turn off the monitor and turn it back on several times and the screen returns to normal.

Is - this BIOS related? someone at - there have a solution for this?

I flashed my BIOS with the latest verious of the BIOS of the computer the video problem on startup disappeared (at least during the last two boot-up cycles).  Recommend that you try it.

  • PC Tablet tx2000 - display and wireless problems

Hey people. I have a HP tx2000 tablet PC laptop with a year of purchase warranty - which expired last month, and now two serious and potentially debilitating problems encountered. I spent about four or five hours with the Livechat nice people, who were on the whole patient and temporarily managed to fix one of the questions.

    (1) the wireless device may not be detected - wireless laptop card is not read. It is a big downer for me because I'm using wireless exclusively at home and work and I really want to shell out money for a smart card to replace the technology on a laptop that is 1 year and 1 month. The first thing I tried was re - install Vista. The wireless adapter has been detected and worked just dandy until as soon as I restarted the computer. Then he disappeared from the Device Manager list. I have re-installed twice and it's the same thing. LiveChat directed me to a new BIOS to install, so I installed that, too. It's the same thing. Then Livechat instructed me to delete the program HP Wireless Assistant and bingo! The wireless worked very well and through several reboots. For a day and a half. Now, it is not found yet.

    (2) when the laptop from sleep or hibernation, the display is not 'wake up' again. The fan will be UM, the LED flashes, but display refuses to wake up. The only way to solve this problem is to restart the computer. This also happens / every time / I switch on the computer itself. The display will be activated, no post screen, no beep system seconds later. The only solution is to hold the power slider until the system is a closed hard down, and then click again to turn the computer back on. This usually works, but sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tent.

The Livechat was to update my video drivers, and they sent me a nice handy nvidia update.  To restart the installation, the computer performed normally, but as soon as I rebooted again (after the conclusion of the session of Livechat marathon at 5 in the morning) the white screen problem has occurred. I also tried to install the latest drivers from the nvidia site (which have been updated from those HP gave me), without result.

I've read about these two problems on various boards of the internet; Wireless outage seems to be something very common with pavilions and the chipset, even if it is fairly unique in that reinstall allows the system to 'find' immediately and it works very well, and Livechat HP gave me a working solution where the wireless ran for a day and a half and ten or twelve of the low power/ups power. The problem with the monitor, however, seems very widespread and is frustrating in the extreme to me and many others. Much the assumption it implies the tablet technology. My previous laptop was a Dell Inspiron with a large, 2 "hole diameter engraved on the screen, and Support from Dell wouldn't even talk to me even if they had a unique way of extension of the guarantee for what is a major problem of manufacturing. Nevermind, I have below the 3-year warranty, and they would just me shuttle for a salary-service as soon as I gave them my tags. I lost all faith in Dell products accordingly. HP, on the other hand, was very polite by Livechat, and I read some of these forums... It seems that if people know what they are doing here. I don't want to throw more money on another laptop, and the Tablet functions are the bomb. I want just a working laptop.

    See you soon,.

    Hello!

I got a free replacement of Hewlett-Packard after 30 or two hours and two months of work with HP, as follows:

    (1) contacting a case manager (call HP, o askt be xferred to the records management) and pointing out that:

    (A) my laptop (as well as many others here and elsewhere) suffers from symptoms described in the limited warranty Service extension (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01087277 and HP can agree with that

    (B) the only reason for which it is not covered by the LWSE that the above is that my system is not listed as an attack (it is yours or thousands of others)

    (2) However, 2 months out of warranty case manager first offered a half - off repair (what tech support told me was $428), then again a repair for $90.

    (3) I refused both offers, because it is - of course - a manufacturing defect that affects much more than just a handful of systems. HP is completely ignoring people and hoping it will go away. I got ahold of all the e-mail addresses of single senior partner/CEO/worker I could and started FREE shipping asked to fix my laptop as I MERIT because it is DEFECTIVE.

    (4) Finally, one of the e-mails came to the attention of the Executive customer relations. 15 minutes to speak to a representative, he decides to give me a free repair. All there was to it. The mail box arrived at my door two days later.

Yes, good luck for the rest of you... I stand testament to the fact that HP gave a free repair to an owner of a machine of series tx, suffering from the failure of GPU Nvidia (missing sporatically wireless are the first and the most common symptom of this). You can get your machine fixed and must never pay for it. Components of a laptop should last more than 13 months! NVIDIA and HP as well acknowledge the failures, but not released any information on what parts have been affected. It is to you, noble drive, to make a pretty big stink to get HP to fix your investment.

And don't forget... Do not buy HP again!

    See you soon!
