Distorted screen Moniter.

I messed with the display properties screen trying to facilitate display on the screen. Windows XP appears very well at the beginning upward. On the next screen, it distorts.  I want to do a reboot to safe mode, but it is so warped that I can't read at all. Indices or should I consider out behind the shed s/n and fix it for good?

Have you tried to boot mode safe and make a

    Hi all

    I have a problem with Linux on my laptop Satellite C70-B-212. The videochip Intel Graphics 4400 is supported by Linux, but on this laptop, it gives very distorted output on the console screen. I see a few vertical lines on the screen showing a few ghosts strange images of the output.

    The Office of exit itself seems to stop smoking well, until I have a screen and move it to the bottom of the screen. You can see the top of the screen some distortion in the upper line.

    In Windows everything works fine. When I use the parameter 'nomodeset' turns off the kernel mode setting these lines do not appear. But then, I expect that 3D hardware acceleration is disabled too.

    I suspect that this is a timing issue with the screen of the computer. Just a very minor lag on the clocks or sync.
    It could be just my laptop and then it just cloud be replaced or maybe it has to do with the series.
    Anyone seeing the same issue on this model or series.

    Hi Marco

    It sounds like a driver problem => kernel.

    You can try a kernel later maybe?
    Do you know that you are using atm?

    in terminal type:

    uname - r

    Course Fedora uses 3.16 nuclei which is a very recent (if not the most recent) output.

    Some Ubuntu distro oriented have test of nuclei in the repositories, you will have to add it manually.
    Maybe it's worth a try?

    Hello

    2-way, you can try to solve this problem:

    1. try to go to your website in manufacturere graphics or computer cards and find the driver download section

    Search your computer or graphics card model number based on what you have and download and install the latest graphics drivers for vista

    THEN try to make the screen of solution of problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

    Change the screen resolution

    Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

    For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is higher. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768. LCD monitors can better support the higher resolutions. If you can increase your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have.

    Text and images are sharper and smaller at high screen resolutions
    Text is larger and easier to read at low screen resolutions, but images are rasterized and number of items adapted to the screen
    1. Open display settings by clicking on the button start , by clicking on Control Panel, appearance and personalization, clickingPersonalization and then clicking display settings.

    2. Under resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution, then clickApply.

    Notes
    • When you change the screen resolution, it affects all users who log on the computer.

    • When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it will not support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor returns to the original resolution

    original title: unknown problem with repair/recovery, tiles strange system startup screen? Help!

    Lately, my computer acted up (Dell XPS 410 w / Vista Home Premium so this is important) and when I start the computer and access the boot screen, I get what looks like this (see 3rd photo link). Usually the Startup Repair resolved the problem for a short period of time. This morning I tried it again, when he said he failed and received an error message (see photo 2 links first). Note: I could not can not send in an error report because the computer that it is is not connected to the internet.

    Does anyone have a solution? Thanks advance.

    Gentlemen thank you very much for the replies so far.

    I tried to do the Startup Repair once more and I went into the details of it, and he said that the cause was recognized as "a recent driver installation or upgrade may prevent the system from starting". That is rather confusing, because I don't have NO idea what driver it might be.

    At this moment I am boot from the Vista disc supplied. I hope I can find a solution that is one of the many that you guys have provided so far.

    EDIT: She apparently did not work...

    You can normally make repairs since the Dell recovery disks.

    Read this and if necessary, do you do a startup repair disk:

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
  • Distorted screen of Windows 7 remote desktop printing
    In our work environment, we are running Win7 Pro on workstations with monitors 24 ", and we are mode connection full screen on Windows 2003 Terminal Server that has a monitor standard aspect ratio of 4:1.  We use specific software in the industry for our company, and when we print, the text is elongated.  If the screen resolution for the Terminal Server Session on the client is configured for 1024 x 768 instead of 1900 x 1200, it prints very well as shown here:
    Unfortunately, the way things are presented to the user on the screen at 1024 x 768 is not satisfactory.
    We have a few (all 1900 x 1200 widescreen) customers who use software in the industry outside the Terminal Server environment, and they print without problem.  This leads me to believe that there is a specific problem in Win7 remote desktop client, or the Terminal Server itself.  Whatever it is, the display resolution selected for the Terminal Session is clearly the culprit.  In software, the print is first presented in a preview before printing, and the lengthening of the police is visible in the preview screen. I think that the software is written in C++, but I'm not 100% sure on that.  I'm guessing this has something to do with the print job will be returned on a big screen, but I'm not advanced enough to find out how or why that matters in the grand scheme of things.
    I have installed the patch in KB2768741 to Win7 clients, but he did nothing to help the issue.
  • all distorted screen colors
    The default background is turned on and then could not display all images without multi color pixel showing instead of images.  Anyone have any ideas?
    Hello
    Either:
    (a) the monitor is shot
    (b) the video card is turned or
    (c) your display card drivers are corrupted.
    First download and install a new set of drivers from the manufacturer of the display card. You can also try the demagnetization of the monitor (follow the manufacturer instructions). If these steps fail to resolve the problem, then see if you can find or borrow a spare monitor and connect it instead of yours. If the problem persists, try then the problem is (b). If not, then it is (a). You need to replace the indicated component. Good luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Crazy" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Windows help - www.rickrogers.org
  • Satellite SP6000 - Crash with bands of color on the screen
    Hello!
    I have a Satellite Pro 6000 and it has worked well for more than two years. But in the last two months the laptop crashed at any time with a screen televisions flicker with stripes of color. After that, it takes time to make it work again. XP Pro is fresh installed since the recovery CD. Unfortunately, it looks like a hardware problem. An external monitor displays the same distorted screen. I don't think it's too hot and the fan is running and blowing hot air.
    It is out of warranty now and I don't want to spend a lot of money on a repair task.
    So, any suggestions for me? I don't mind opening and replacement/repair of certain parts of it, but it would be great for advice on a possible reason for this.
    Thank you in advance and bye,
  • Video playback by USB 58M9363D issues 4 k TV
    Hello
    I recently purchased the k 4 58M9363D and I love so far. However I have serious problems with the video game since the two USB and through my pc. They ruin the experience at the moment and if all goes well, they can be fixed. So here goes!
    Whenever I try to play a file mp4 by USB, it says format is not supported, it's especially painful when all 4 k I could find content seems to be in mp4 format.
    Another question I get is with playback of usb 3D movies.
    Sometimes they play perfectly well but often I get strange long lines at the bottom of the screen, making is very bad.
    It doesn't seem to be a problem of format I tried for most of mkv files that half of working time and the other half I get the same distorted screen.
    Finally, I can't read my pc 3D movies.
    When I turn on a video VHS and press the 3d button on the remote control, I just get a double SBS screen that looks like converted from 2D to 3D, rather than merge them into a single real 3D image.
    Can someone tell me how to solve these problems?
    Thanks in advance!
    Hello
    Regarding USB playback:
    Toshiba M8365 Manual of use (page 94/95), you can find the details about the format of media taken in charge, file extension, video codec, etc.
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/LCD/PDF/English/M8365-405058-English.PDF
    The MP4 media format is certainly supported.
    The following video codecs in mp4 file format must be used: H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC), MPEG-4 part12 14
    With regard to the support of 3D (over HDMI):
    Take a look at page 96. You will find information on the resolution 3D supported, the aspect ratio and structure 3D (Side by Side (half), side by side (full), up and down)
    Possible 3D structure depends on the resolution of the film.
    Updates for Windows XP can be installed only if service pack 3 is installed first.
    XP will not stop working, updates and anti-malware for XP stops.
    Third party anti-malware program must be installed before the end of support.
