• Newb question: serious distortion of color

  I hope I'm missing something really stupid here. I am completely new to the creation and video editing as a whole.

  I set up a little video for a kick. I set up the fine video and exported, and it seems good. I've played a bit with many export different presets and they all looked good. I ended up going with a preset for iPhone that created the smaller file. This version is here: https://strangematter.us/Kickstarter_5.mp4.

  Then, I discovered that Kickstarter requires format 640 x 480, and I used a large screen. Oh no! So, I'll be back in the first, create a new sequence at 640 x 480, copy on all of my pieces, laboriously move all the items, and then export.

  I noticed that when I created my new sequence when I clicked in most frames on the timeline, the preview could be really garbled with vertical bands of color. But when I rubbed the playhead backward and forward it looked OK.

  However, exports have been garbage. Vertical bands of color everywhere and the audio was all choppy. I tried a bunch of different presets and all gave the same result.

  Even stranger: the original sequence shows the same problem now!

  So after some thought, I decided to cut the first of the equation. I have a good export, why not simply re-encode the low-resolution letterbox-style? So, I open encoder media and do exactly that, using the video perfectly well above. THE SAME PROBLEM. Here is this version: https://strangematter.us/Kickstarter_5_2.mp4.

  At this point, I am at a loss. What could I have done to be first or Media Encoder to behave the same way? (I would say it was purely a problem of Media Encoder, if not for the fact I see this distortion in the preview area in the first.)

  It is with first Pro CC, last update, on a Macbook Pro 2014.

  Problem solved.

  It seems that the switched converter at a time given "mercury hardware accelerated (CUDA)" "mercury hardware accelerated (OpenCL). Since they mean 'hardware acceleration' I do not think that there is a significant difference.

There was a resounding bang and lots of cracks, and the phone was expanding at a rate alarming on my dining room table, a table of table.the JUST vacated by my 5 year old grandson. It was a scary time and could have ended in disaster. is now inflated to the top and looks as if it could explode. WHAT should I do now. The phone was not in charge. these things are bombs potentials and we carry in our pockets. I know that the 3gs is an old phone, but there are still many of them about, most belonging to young children. This must be examined. the battery has never changed, its origin. It is, of course, when this problem started since. David.

• Lightroom 4.2 RC RX100 harvest bugs

  I use Lightroom 4.2RC with a Sony RX100 (which was recently added in this version). I am shooting RAW + JPEG, the (default) 3:2 aspect ratio mode and import into Lightroom by dividing my JPEG and RAW in 2 directories, by loading the RAW in Lightroom.

  A significant number of RX100 RAW (but not all of them, seems) are imported with a harvest already together, centered at half of the actual resolution of the image, i.e. harvesting is centered on the image and reduces the effective size of the image while two. Displayed harvest has the same proportions as the full image.

  I understand this is a new feature in 4.2 with the RX100 what it is supposed to display the harvest of the camera if you're shooting in certain proportions, but this feature seems to be fucked: I turn 3:2 aspect who is a native of the sensor, so there should never be any culture. It is even more obvious because the displayed harvest has the same proportions as the full RAW.

  As the second problem when you use the RX100: the lens correction is grayed out. I understand that Lightroom applies to the correction lens automagically as the camera has a fixed lens with serious distortions, but it would be nice if this was reflected in the display. (And I would like to turn off and look at the sensor output native, to help me understand where the objective is actually better run.) This information is currently unattainble in Lightroom and invisible.)

• Sound distortion with sounds and Windows streaming media

  First of all, I'm not very technical minded, so please excuse my attempts to describe it!

  A few weeks ago, the sound on my laptop became distorted - metal kind of high, very "rough" and nasty high-pitched squeal kind of like your comments. Happens on all Windows sounds, on the media (like YouTube) streaming, but WMP works fine so I know it isn't a problem of speaker, need software.

  Just before this happened, I tried to download and install Skype, but couldn't get my microphone to work. I then uninstalled Skype. I also installed Spyware Doctor from PCTools, but there were some conflicts when he tried to run scheduled scans, three times, I started my computer to find the message "your system has recovered from a serious error" (I also have Norton Antivirus and Windows Defender running). So I uninstalled Spyware Doctor.

  I tried to find info online on this and have since downloaded and run CCleaner. I also downloaded and re-installed the Realtek driver for my sound card, but I still have this problem. All tips are welcome!

• Satellite A300 PSACGA - display distorts and freezes

  I have a Satellite A300 PSACGA-02V010 running Vista Ultimate.
  The laptop is around the age of 10 months and 12 hours a day for work purposes.

  For some reason there is a few days display distorted (pixelated) and froze.
  The only way to recover was a difficult start. Restarted the laptop it shows the desktop for about 30 seconds and did a repeat freeze performance. I restarted mode safe and it works very well for days.

  I thought there must be something loading at normal startup is causing the problem, so I disabled everything I thought I could do without and restarted in Normal Mode. Once again the office poster for about 30 seconds and then frozen again. I tried to roll using recovery, charging display and BIOS drivers from the Toshiba site but continues to the situation.
  In SafeMode it never freezes up

• Satellite P200D - 11L sound problem - sound gets distorted

  Hello!
  I bought a Satellite P200D - 11L a couple of weeks and when I got it sound was perfect.
  There was good amount of bass and distortion-free when I turned the volume to 100%. Harman/kardon speakers are cool :) But now the sound is distorted. It started week ago.

  When I try to listen to music (in windows media player and winamp, there is no difference) it is very distorted through the laptop speakers, but on my helmet, it is good. Also, same song/songs are normal on my desktop PC.
  I don't know what the problem is so please help. I tried to restore windows with Toshiba product recovery disc but same problem is still there. If the speakers are in some way damaged, because on my sound headset is OK? And Yes, I told you on my sound headset is OK, but it is a little bit different than it was when I got the laptop...

  When I got laptop sound had more bass, but now when this problem occurred, its also a less serious (bass is almost imperceptible).

• Manual Sony RX100?

  I was just notified that my RX100 shipped from Pennsylvania yesterday, July 18, so I'm looking forward to read the user manual to get ahead.

  But in an online review, it has been said that Sony only provides a "getting started" booklet and a document nor a CD Manual. The Sony site search, I was unable to find a manual RX100 here, either. Is there a user manual?

  Not having is not a user manual would be a serious problem for me. It would force me to consider going back to the camera.

• can someone tell me why the sound becomes distorted on my external speakers when I plug the charger on my netbook?

  I have a set of logitech speakers and a subwoofer that I use on my netbook, but when I plug the charger to recharge the battery, the sound distorts seriously which means I can listen only as long as the battery, I sent l; ogitech but they said it was a problem on my computer. Anyone have any ideas why?

• Computer stuck on 'test mode' and is having problems of delay serious is not allowing me to repair my registry or even access.

  I have Windows vista home edition 32 bit and all of a sudden its stuck on 'test mode' and it only allows me to access my regristry editor or anything to do with regristry. If I am near him, it simply restarts the computer. This whole test mode is seriously lagging my computer, the CPU is really bad spiking constantly. Is there anyway that I can fix this?   It could be that it is a particularly nasty brand of malware. I have not heard of something like this before and do not know how you could go about fixing this short of reinstalling Windows. Even if it is maybe not enough if startup records were damaged. I hope someone else can help.

• Sony RX100 MKii exposure Simulation Flaw

  Hello Sony. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

  I just tried to use the Sony RX100 MKii in the studio and found a problem.

  Simulation of exposure in Manual Mode. He needs a toggle so it can be turned off to be able to use the manual focus and see what focus you on.

  To work around the problem, you could temporarily move to P, A or S modes of shooting for the purpose of framing and setting for the point. Once done, you might return to M mode so that you can take a picture using the appropriate settings.

• Audio distortion with Windows 7

  Running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Service Pack 1 on a Dell XPS PC 8700 Special Edition.  I have the audio distortion / rupture & dropouts/skips during playback of music from the computer via headphones or external speakers.  The problem occurs if the source is iTunes, Windows Media or optical drives.  Listening longer, more frequent & become serious mistakes.  When to listen torn copies of the same music through an iPod directly connected to the stereo or headphones, no errors occur.  I installed an ASUS Xonar U7 external sound card.  This seems to have improved the overall sound, but it has not solved the problem of distortion.  The drivers concerned appear to be up-to-date.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

• Paths in illustrator get distorted when turned.

  I created a path in illustrator that gets seriously distorted with applied transformations (resizing, think and even to swap the foreground and background color). Is this a known issue?

• Import of LR (from Nikon P340) distorted some pictures

  Some pictures are getting seriously more distorted look that I see.

  Not develop settings have been applied during the import.

  There are two problems in a few photos.

  Photos taken inside at night without flash that has a slight yellow cast (such as seen in NX2) have a yellow cast, exaggerated in LR.

  The biggest problem is that LR has ADDED significant barrel distortion (if that's the right word, the vertical lines become markedly curved).

  No idea what I am doing wrong?

  A related question... I had saved NRW + JPG files on the camera but LR will not import the JPG. It is important only JPG where there is no NRW file.

  (To see that the distortion was only on the NRW files I had to remove, move the file JPG files in a different folder on their own and then import JPG files).

  How can I get to import both?   (Usually, there is no need, and probably once Ive got everything under control I can drop the JPG file, although it helps when, leafing through the folders in Windows Explorer, but I think it's a whole other issue)

  What you see is a normal behavior. RAW files have a JPEG preview in them first, Lightroom displays when it generates an overview of raw image. Your camera has the ability to make these corrections lenses, and they are applied to the JPEG and JPEG preview in the raw file. However, Lightroom does not read these lenses for the raw image corrections. The reason is that each camera manufacturer stores corrections in a different location, so rather than trying to create a complete converter for every model of camera that is released, Adobe chose to simply ignore parameters which are owners. And the lens correction parameters are owners. As I mentioned previously, it will be necessary to use the lens correction tools in Lightroom to compensate for these problems. If you find a setting that matches then you can create a preset that you can apply to the request.

  Just another note, if checking "enable the correction of profile" solves the problem, just check this option and then save the new camera default values. Then, the profile corrections will be part of your default settings

  I have three cameras RX100 from Sony.  Unable to get them to appear in Lightroom or ACR.

  There are two types of profiles, profiles of camera and lens.  Which you are asking about?  And you look at a raw files or a jpg of your cameras?
