  Hello. I have a problem with the sound on my computer. I think that's maybe a bug in Windows 7. Whenever I try to play music or watch a video there is some distorted crackling sounds that come also with audio. I had no such problem in XP or Vista. I have tried everything to solve this problem re-installing the audio drivers switching different and trying different versions of Windows 7 but without success. I have not had any problems with him using Windows 7 beta, but I do now running version 7600. And my lapyop is well capable to run Windows 7 at 2.26 Ghz CPU, 2 GB Ram, 320 MB graphics card - its very fast. Only problem is her.   Hello. I do have the problem fixed - this is if you have a RealTek sound card. You need to contact them about the problem and they should give you a diagnostic tool. Run the tool and the info. Then send it to RealTek. I got good service from them that everything was done in half an hour! They sent me a version updated their driver who was in phase beta but the change Turn Off Mode jumper (if it makes no sense to me) and it works completely fine!   You have a few options as I see it.

• HP Pavilion P6 - 2220t: distortion of sound when using Vinly to CD software

  Used Audacity and Golden Records Vinyl to CD software while using Numark Platinum vinyl and Uphono devices. Sound of the devices was good through headphones, while listening to that recording has been distorted and unpleasant. Audacity has worked with the previous desktop, but not this one. Never had a problem with Numark Platinum the previous desktop, but faced this distortion on the P6 - 2220t. Also noted the audacity meter monitoring does not always work on this desktop computer.

  I don't think that it is a problem of HP hardware.  I suggest contacting the customer to the software publisher to see if they can help you.  They know the best software.  It could be that there is an incompatibility which they can identify.

  Hello. Yes, we found a solution for the thread you linked to. All the solutions that we (the owners of portable) found are listed in the FAQ Audio Choppy/jump. Solutions are listed about newest to oldest and by model. You are probably not familiar with the names of model Dell so I'll tell you that Dell seems to get a handle on these problems, or Microsoft is, because none of the newer models are on the list. Lately, we have not seen these types of symptoms.

  I lost all my CD recovery & pilot who gave me in 2004. But I had to format my pc this weekend due to many reasons of system (bugs, unable to connect to the net, etc.).
  My first step was to Toshiba site, I downloaded all kinds of drivers for Satellite A30. And I had XP Professional SP2 from my friend and installed it. But after completing all the facilities below is the result:

  (1) NO. SOUND :(

  2 points to mark on the 2 points that are a) multimedia sound controller and b) PCI Modem in Device Manager / other devices.

  (3) Chipset installation error message: Chipset Intel (r) utility installation requires platform chipsets supported by the supported operating system. Read the section of the system requirements in the Readme.txt for more information.

  Just to inform that my problem has been resolved in itself :)
  I reformatted my laptop and installed new computer the original XP Pro SP2 by following the instructions.

  His problem was solved automatically, no installation utility chipset required...
  The noise problem was probably caused by lack of update Microsoft KB835221 for SP1 and KB888111 for SP2, which then was resolved with the XP of more recent origin...

• Partitioning in T500 problem

Then I did the BIOS update with ThinkVantage System Update. After that (I'm not sure it's because of the update of the BIOS) when I boot GParted, it shows that my drive is unallocated space, but windows starts normally...

  I wouldn't bother I have not the fact that I have to install Linux on my T500 and installer can't see none of my scores...

  What can I do to make it work correctly?

  I can even wipe my drive hard if you tell me it will work 100%...

  Finally I did it! Here's how I did it: I went to the BIOS changed options SATA AHCI Mode Compatybility. Then I had lunch the installer of Windows XP - whipe on all partitions, created new partitions using Windows install. After that, I have not had any problems with Acronis Disk Director, install linux on my t500 or any other problem. I hope it helps someone.
