DMA2100 is frozen after trying to install wireless

I tried to connect a new DMA2100 to my VMC and now it is completely frozen, locked, hanging, etc.  The initial screen will appear and you can window around during about 5 to 10 seconds, but then the device is completely insensitive.  I was wondering if it was a bad camera, I brought another House and it's the same thing.

Here's the background, I tried to run the installation program to use wireless initially but the DMA2100 would simply wants it "search".  I was never able to screen so I just unplugged the device, which would lead to a repetition of the same loop.  I found a thread that said having the same questions that has been set using cable and update the firmware.  I've updated to 1.1.6 and then was able to complete the configuration and use the functions of the Extender.  As a result, I restore to its factory default condition, disconnected from the power, and disconnected the cable ethernet with intentions to go wireless.

(Remember, it's about two units) When I turned on the unit (s) back, I noticed as the default splash screen does not pop up but rather the main screen which has 'Settings' or 'SFBC '.  Nevertheless, I followed through "settings" to run the installer again and choose Wireless this time.  Once more, it froze just.  I even waited all night on a single unit.  This time, when I recycled power to the capacity of the facility, they arrived in the State where I can only window autour for literally 5-10 seconds until I can do it without more (I waited all night for that to change too).  I tried the 'soft' reset (5 seconds the reset button) and the hardware reset (holding company of discount for 10 seconds power, break of 10 seconds and 10 seconds on).  None of this changes anything.  Within 5-10 seconds, I can window autour enough in 'settings' to see that it is a "wireless" network management mode  But I did not have enough time before it crashes to change anything.  My finger on the distance from the lock time was fun the first 10 times I tried.  even when I thought that I managed to change something, it froze again.

I can't believe there is no real way to reset this (USB port?).  Literally, these units cannot do anything now.  I'm still waiting to hear from Linksys, but I thought that I would like to probe for any input...  I am actually very happy with all of my other Linksys products, but the quality of these units is really shocking;  I guess that's why there is a fire sale on these nowadays.

Workaround is to disconnect the antennas while the implementation. Also, be aware, that the wireless MAC address is different from the MAC address on the serial number sticker. If you use filtering of MAC address of your wireless router.

Do you get the BSOD during the BIOS update procedure?
Are you using the Windows operating system preinstalled Toshiba? or did you install your own system?

If you have installed your system, then you should check that the VAP is installed as well.

In general, I store my programs on a USB key. I've never had a problem installing or running

Lately after trying to install a specific program, I get this appcrash, check the event log.

It seems to say that the file for this installation is damaged, but how can this be since the installation has worked before?

Get corrupted - it happens.  Jump drives die all the time.  You might be able to reformat (erase) and get more life out of it, or you can get a new USB, install again and use it until it is damaged again.

Average life of a disk is 5.2 years, but just like people, many drive die younger and many die older. You never know what will be yours.

  • Cannot start Windows after trying to install the Vista SP2

I just tried to install Vista SP2 and now whenever I try to turn on the cpu it gives me a blue screen and restarts. It does allow me to start in SafeMode either. In addition, it seems to be impossible to find my restore points. I was able to stop the screen using the F8 menu and it gives me this error on the blue screen

    STOP: 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0X81C223BB, 0X803998F4, 0X803995F0)

For some reason, when I go to the cmd prompt to advanced troubleshooting guide, I can do, he says that I am the X and not the C drive, if that has something to do with my restore points does not.

I tried to get the menu of the restoration on C manually through C:\windows\system32\restore\, but nothing was there.

Any help would be appreciated. I will not lose rather all my data in a reformat.

    Thank you
    Matt

A (another) Norton or McAfee application has already been installed on this machine (for example, a free trial version which is preinstalled when you bought it)?

  • Problem with starting after trying to install XP.

I have a Samsung NF110 netbook with an external cd drive. The hard drive has two partitions - c: and d:. C: installed Windows 7 and d: was empty. I wanted a machine to dual-boot with Windows 7 and XP in different partitions. I tried to install XP on the d: partition but during installation only choice was installed on the c: partition (replace Windows 7). I decided to do it and then I hope to install Windows 7 on the d: partition later. The installation process copied all files XP from the CD, but when it came to restart it has always tried to boot from the cd and start the implementation process. I tried to remove the cd drive, and then it came with NT invalid Boot.ini detect failed. I tried various suggestions found on forums to fix this. The most popular seems to be to get to the Recovery Console, and then type bootcfg/list and bootcfg /rebuild. When I do bootcfg/list it shows a Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition installed. However after the rest of the instructions for example enter the loading and do/fastdetect identifier does not solve the problem. Someone at - it any other suggestions to correct what I guess is an MBR corrupted. Wouldn't be better to just format the entire hard drive and start from scratch?
