docx downloads zip

I'm working on a system for document management.  Yesterday, I worked on it from home and everything was fine - I was on Windows7 then.

Today, I am working with Windows XP and docx files try to download a zip file.

I have Office 2007 installed on my computer XP too.

The application will allow the doc and docx files and keep the database extension.

I looked at the source code on a page I have a problem with and it shows correctly the docx extension (http://www.mysite.com/SOPs/drafts/27.docx) and downloaded the site correctly as 27.docx.

Here's my cffile

< cffile

action = "upload".

accept = "application/msword, application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document.

destination = "#application. ' BasePath #\SOPs\drafts\.

nameconflict = "overwrite".

FileField = "uploadfile".

/ >

< cffile

action = "Rename".

source = "#application. BasePath#\SOPs\drafts\#cffile.serverFileName#.#cffile.serverFileExt# ".

destination = "#application. BasePath#\SOPs\drafts\#PK#.#cffile.serverFileExt# ".

/ >

What the heck can I do to fix this?  I know, upgrade from XP, but this isn't an option.

Thank you

We need to see the download code as well.   But do you have to register the mime types with any Web server you use?

<>

action = "upload".

accept = "application/msword,...» »

Either way, the mime types are easy to spoof. You might be interested in Tips for downloading files with ColdFusion

    How can I download via Safari .zip files and there not open (expand) the file?

    These zip files are designed for a different system, and uncompress loses the special attributes packed with files.  So just re - compress the directory is of no use.

    I need to see the .zip file.

    Open the general tab of the preferences of Safari and set it do not open safe files after downloading.

  • Download Zip large files

    I want to download a large zip file (ranging from 10 MB to 20 MB). Miss me probably just something really simple, but if I try to get it back as an inputstream and do something with it, I just get a time-out exception.

    HttpConnection connection = null;
        ZipArchive archive = null;
        InputStream fis = null;
        try {
            connection = (HttpConnection)Connector.open(URL + "/Bryce_Canyon_National_Park.zip;");
            //HTTP Request

              connection.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.GET);
              connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","//text");
              connection.setRequestProperty("Connection", "close");
              if (connection.getResponseCode() == HttpConnection.HTTP_OK)
              {
                fis = connection.openDataInputStream();
                if(fis != null){
                    archive = new ZipArchive(fis);
                    archive.readEntries();
                }else{
                    UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable(){
                        public void run(){
                            Dialog.alert("Inputstream is null");
                        }
                    });
                }
              }

            if(fis != null){
                archive = new ZipArchive(fis);
                archive.readEntries();
            }else{
                UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable(){
                    public void run(){
                        Dialog.alert("Inputstream is null");
                    }
                });
            }
        }

    As shown in the code I just need to use the input stream to create a ZipArchive, when I swell the zip file and save it to the device.

    Any help would be great, thanks.

    I received files in zip format that I downloaded.  However, when I click on the file to open it, I get a box that says "application not found" and I am not able to access the files.

    Can someone help me understand what is happening and why I can't download files more

    Hi Barbara,

    1. is the specific issue confined to zip files?

    2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    3. is there any software zip file that is installed on your computer?

    First of all, I suggest you try to access a different zip file and check if you are able to open. This will help us know if the problem is with the zip file special or the application.

    I suggest you do a right click on the particular file and select extract and check if you are able to access the particular file.

  • Problems downloaded ZIP file

    I was download mods for a game that I play via Firefox and recently, I noticed that the files into several parts seem to have some problems when downloading.

    First of all, they seem to take forever to work, and then when I update the download, they immediately seem to be finished. There is no search for viruses and stop them.

    But once I open the file with WINRAR, it says that the archive is a format unknown or damaged. So I found the same file and downloaded with another browser, and it works.

    My question is: How can I solve this problem simply? I tried to reinstall Firefox, but it always has the same question, probably because I kept all my settings and so on.

    Any help would be great.

    Hello

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

    (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

    Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

    If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • SCO to Connect downloaded .zip file, not recognized?

    I'm working to articulate scenario 2, packing as a swf/html5 compatible with OCS using SCORM 2004 v.4. When I test the file to SCORM Cloud, the manifesto is good and the project runs without problem. When I take the same file and attempt to load the system to Connect, an error - "file format not recognized" I don't know where to go with this - the articulated site and this site contain no instance ther of this question - anyone? anyone? Bueller?

    Success - not with scenario 2 - that's another story altogether - but we got the boss to the junk food she and we launch Cp8 - everything is fine and our stuff plays well with our LMS Customer!

    The extent of scenario 2 - the publishing options do not include the wrapper of AICC conversion required to operate properly on a 9 configuration pre-connect LMS, so same edition in AICC, mingle you results saying the course is underway and all at the same time. The solution which was finally useful came from Andrew Chemey at Adobe, who sent a file zip which allowed me to package a SCORM 2004 published the script file in a wrapper that communicated with the AICC based connect 8 LMS. We wrapped all of our courses built in scenario 2 in this packaging, posted to the LMS and officially retired the software.

  • Downloadable Zip files on DVD menu?

    Hi all

    I have a client who would like me to include a menu page on his DVD with downloadable material. photos and documents. Is this possible?

    Jessica

    Jessica,

    Good luck and please take note of the comment by John any content ONLY being accessible from a computer ROM. No DVD decoder player he will never see and cannot use it. A computer can.

    I'd also give the user instructions, so that they know that the contents of the ROM is available and how to access from their computer. I'll put a title in the video portion of my DVD equipment, as well as instructions on the label of the disc, or the case of DVD or both. Moreover, some users might be missed entirely.

    Because of limits on the size of the columns of the MIME type, DOCX and other MS Office XML file formats are not supported in APEX 3.1.

    A patch for APEX version 3.2.1.00.12 is available on My Oracle Support under the bug number 9770959.

    The problem is completely resolved in APEX 4.x.

    Support for APEX 3.1 ended in February 2011. You should go to APEX 4.2 for ongoing support and enjoy many new features.
