  • How can I disable the mouse pad? I prefer to use a mouse.

The cushion is a nuisance especially when I try to type, perhps I catch it with my wrists, I don't know. I prefer to use a mouse.

The 'quick and dirty' would be to cover the trackpad with something thick enough no pickup "taps" or "gestures". A card cut to tight should be thick enough, but I use a three thicknesses of sheet glued together and cut to tight in the trackpad to open (a corner cut so I can remove it when I have to use the trackpad). I did back in 2008 with an Acer laptop and now do it with my Asus EeePC 900 netbook; If I don't have the mouse with me (or the battery is dead - mouse USB wireless) I just remove the "cap" cardboard if I can use the trackpad.

In addition, check with a Windows 7 support forum to find out how to disable this "device". This isn't really a problem of Firefox support.

  • The mouse freezes 7 64 pro. Weird.

So he just built my wife a computer and put a copy of Win7 64 pro there. Fee install, all parts of nine. Commission of military rank MSI. Core i5 haswell. 16 gb Ripjaw DDR3 1600. 3 TB WD SATA 6 Gbps. EVGA GTX740. Not top of the line, but a pretty solid configuration. Wife tried to get the mouse to the keyboard, so she ordered a few unwanted Perixx thought looked cute... Install fresh. Pilots from MB. Windows. To update everything. While this is happening mouse would randomly freeze during installation. Never one of my other USB devices. just the mouse. thought that was weird, but I reboot a lot and he would start just back from work at startup. Only to stop again shortly after, so I ignored the mouse and installation continues by using the only keyboard, understand was just a piece of *. All updated and went out and bought the wife a decent installation of Logitech. Did the same with the new mouse, regardless of port (USB3.0 or 2.0) or hub. Hung my Razer Imperator wired mouse that I use on my bench which is an older version of the installer of my wife. Does exactly the same thing. When I say freeze, it's freezing. Don't thaw the mouse except a reboot OR anything, oddly enough, when I hit CTRL ALT DEL thaws the mouse and I used again. but the second I'm going away from this screen it hangs again. I ran the real glove of internet resources. Try anything and everything I can find in the forums, flashing the BIOS to disable USB3.0 all the way until it is deactivated hubs USB windows power management. I tried three different installs slate. But it's always the same thing. The mouse freezes completely between 2-5 minutes after the start. The fact in safe mode. I tried to disable and uninstall utilities that came with my motherboard as I suspected it might have been the cause. Installing and uninstalling the drivers, update of drivers for everything. Even Microsoft intellipoint. Nothing fixes this, any mouse or what port I use. For the love of God someone please point me in the right direction before that I need to be validated.

  • Hide the mouse in some slides.

    Hello, people!

Here I am, once again, with news of my trip with Captivate options. First of all, my boss has decided that the best way is to leave the 'lesson' only with demonstrations of drawing and after the lesson, put the student to practice with the software.

For those that Don t understand what I m talking about, read this.

Now I've finished (well, editing/retouching phase) my first lesson, and have some problems to fix:

    • I recorded a few slides of assessment, to put the student click in some options in the screen and the mouse appeared in all the time. There's a way to really hide the mouse, in the presentation? I Don t want the mouse appear when the student is one who will need to click in a box, or type something... I just want the mouse appear in the moments when I m showing something in the screen... Is it possible?
    • In some slides, my text caption boxes are "fading" (become very opaque at the end of the timeline), while it waits for the student to click in the clickbox? I Don t know what exactly...

Well, for now, is it. I'll come with more, when I'm at the end of the lesson.

Indeed, please keep this button 'maintain proportions' enabled.

Captivate is indeed wonderful software for e-learning. If you already try to get training in Flash, similar to what you can get in first Grade (as I did long ago...) you need to fall in love with this program. I hope I was helpful.

  • The mouse continues to disconnect randomly

    span / / p
With the help of OS Vist, my husbands mouse continues to disconnect randomly.  He has reinstalled the drivers, did the computer repair.  He changed the mouse to a new with the same result.  It has also changed the cables autour and she always does on other ports.  It seems to be a problem with OS rather than material.

Problem solved (for me). Resolution-Wrecked TWO mice! Bought again the machine and we like that. I will never use two mouse at the new!

    Question answer.
Operating system: Win7. (Even if the previous user, the question was under Vista).
    Question started: yesterday. 23 / Feb / 2010.

Hello, my name is Royce, I have a problem with my mouse on Windows 7.

Question: The mouse turns off randomly, I hear the device disconnect sound, then the sound of connection device. It disconnects all all three to six seconds, and the mouse power light turns off during this disconnect. I suspect my internal USB Hub is powered off, but do not.

Cause: I had two mouse plugged in at the same time, so a friend can have control of the screen with me. In a few minutes, this problem started.

Tried to fix it: I uninstalled the mouse driver, tried different ports, updated windows, different mice, taken the battery out of the motherboard, reset the bios and even entered in DeviceManager and ensured that all usb hubs do NOT go to power saving mode. I don't know what else to try, but then again I'm not all that known with Win7.

When you first start my PC, the mouse will be OK for about 20 seconds, then the problem is getting worse and worse. If I don't move my mouse, I don't hear the disconnect sound, but it is perhaps more than that.

When the mouse goes off, I think I can use my keyboard. The CapsLock light is wrong, so I suspect that the keyboard does not meet this problem. Oh, and all of my devices are USB2, so it's all modern. My PC is new, built the House. It's a machine fast quad core with a lot of power to the usb2.

    Help, please!

  • TripAdvisor.ca does not answer more to the clicks of the mouse on the Web page, such as the drop-down list to disconnect. It started with the last update.

As I downloaded the latest version of Firefox (29.0.1) I have problems with the webpage Tripadvisor.ca . The mouse may not seem to work on Web pages. For example I can't select a tab to view pictures or details of a vacation rental. Also I am not able to use the drop down menu next to my username for me to disconnect it.

    Does anyone have a solution?

  • The mouse disconnects and reconnects randomly.

I am running Vista 64 bit and am currently using a Razer Krait mouse. Only randomly, the mouse disconnects and reconnects for about two seconds every 10 minutes. It has nothing to do with the mouse, because I tried it on my friends computer and it has worked. The time that it happens mostly when I'm in a computer game. I really need help, I searched other forums and I could not find the answer. * It is not a wireless mouse *.

No, I have not all usb 2.0 ports. I eventually found a new mouse and its fine. I guess it's just the mouse and that it should be replaced. Thanks for all your help.

  • the mouse is disconnected

    Hello

I have problem with my mouse that is unplug when I him away the mouse even pad for a bit (IT WORKS FINE ON IT, BUT I can't USE it LIKE THIS CUZ OF THE GAME). When I keep hitting, I can hear sounds (connection-disconnection of the usb port). I have no idea what could be... I tried, and I tried everything I could find.
The mouse is not a problem, I tried on another PC and it works fine. But, I also tried other mice on this pc and it's the same, it keeps freezing or reconnection. I tried the other usb also ports, and it continues to be. Keyboard, webcam and other things work fine. The mouse is the only problem :(

I checked to see if this option is "verified" - allow the computer to turn off this device to save power - on 'hub USB root. It is not the case. This is how it is supposed to be.

I would be grateful for any suggestion. Thank you

  • How to untie the mouse button (mouse4 or 5)? I don't want it works as a ' back ' button.

I have my mouse thumb buttons. Most people call them mouse4 and mouse5. Currently, one of them works as a 'back' button in the browser. I use this button for something else in another program, and I want to disable this feature in firefox.

Please advise me on how to disable this feature in firefox. Would be nice if you can customize these mouse shortcuts.

Unfortunately, driver mouse tip generates keyboard shortcuts for Firefox for these extra buttons; Actually, Firefox does not handle more than 3 buttons.

In case the mouse driver sends the BACKSPACE key, you can set Firefox to ignore this.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste back and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (2) in the search box that appears above the list, type or paste the back and make a break while the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the browser.backspace_action preference and enter the desired value:

    • 0 = > return (default)
    • 1 = > previous page
    • 2 = > ignore (in fact, nothing other than 0 or 1 does nothing)

OK to save the change. You are finished.

Is it that help at all?

    Otherwise, is what?
